  1. Thanks for your reply and ordinarily I agree with you. It should not be an obsession and since I initiated this question I have prayed to the Lord about the family and that I need His guidance and that I have no desire to deal with such things. I then gave the family over to Him. But, I just received a call wanting me to intervene and they are in the process of having me come and help. It is no little matter to family and there is intense suffering that is very real. I post this to say that we as Christians will be confronted with such activity due to the nature of our identity with the Lord. Our very walk will cause conflict due to witnessing of the truth in the Gospel. It is a shame that the churches do not take it seriously and it is not what Jesus commands. Studying the Gospel of Mark indicates how very real it is and what power we have. Jesus is alive and working today and He freed the oppressed and the possessed
  2. In total agreement. There is a family that attends the church and they have relatives that are practicing witches. The family lives in one calamity after another. I know that Jesus rebukes demons and in Mark we too are able, in the name of Jesus of course, but how to break a curse that is coming from unknown members of the family? Two deaths have occurred and another individual is failing. I have been asked to intervene but do not have many who take this seriously to pray against a curse. I know and believe that Jesus is victor over the evil one and that Jesus' name and blood has power and I have the armor so I am able.

  5. The increase of witches and how to deal with their activity?
  6. She was told and was gracious about her destiny. She did request some time with her friends and then submitted to the sacrifice.
  7. Jeremiah 23:5 "Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will rise up for David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.
  8. A tough section in the Bible needs to be addressed and that is 1 Timothy 2:14-15 "And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner. But women will be saved through childbearing--if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety." When I became born again I was so in love with the Lord (I sill am). I read the Bible and received such peace and happiness. But, when I came across this section of scripture I must admit it brought tears. I have come to an understanding between the Lord and myself. This is what I learned. 11"And he said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?" The man said, "The woman you put here with me--she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it." Then the Lord God said to the woman, ""What is this you have done?" The Woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate." 15 "And I will put enmity between you and the Woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel." To the woman he said, "I will greatly increase your pains in childbearing; with pain you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you." Gen 3: 11-13, 15-16 The woman sinned but confessed it to the Lord when asked. Indicating the need that we must confess our sin so that redemption is possible. The Lord then provided the plan of redemption for the world by way of the woman's offspring Jesus. The consequence of sin is death but instead life is brought forth in pain during childbearing. Then the Lord gave a desire and a rule over the women which will prove life saving for Mary the mother of Jesus. Praise the Lord for his love for women. The gospel message is revealed through her. She is rightly named Eve "Mother of all the living" Tell me of your understanding, and ladies how this scripture effects you.
  9. I rest in loving the Lord so I can better love my neighbor. Jesus replied, “This is the most important: ‘Hear O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One. 30Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’e 31The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’f No other commandment is greater than these.”Mark 12: 29-31

  13. Hi from Maine and it is snowing again. March is considered a winter month and it makes the season long. So we are in need of shack wacky ideas to cure the blues.
  14. Hi Jerry, I have heard this of other people. It is not a casual concern. The first thing is the distress that you mention. What ever is causing this feeling must be given over to the Lord Jesus. He is the foundation and head of the church. He knows what is going on in the church and he knows you. There are times when he works through us in the church that is not always comfortable but is necessary to make us grow. Ask Jesus to show you and teach you. The first thing He will do is give you peace. I hope I am not to forward but I too have suffered this. I got through it and found in hind sight that the Lord worked in the church and I grew to a stronger Child of God.

Hi!! Thanks for the welcome. I am new to chat and may need some help negotiating the site. There are so many interesting things to check out but most important are friends to get in touch with.
  16. Hi! This has been a long winter and March is only a hint of spring to come. It is this time of year that I get in the mood for planning my garden. Soon it will be time to order seeds and when they arrive plant them indoors. But, this year I think I will start dahlias. It would be fun to grow and maybe begin a collection. Buying perennials is a great idea they don't take as much time and they last. Well just thinking of ideas and sharing.
  17. I am human and can make mistakes. But, I have the Word that works on renewing my mind and when situations come up the Lord gives me wisdom to cope with it in a shining manor. I can do nothing with out Him. Blessings to all who read this.
  18. So I have reviewed what I have been doing and I found my self wanting. I was angry at receiving a bill last night that was very high and later the next morning discovered that the bill did not show that I paid the last payment and this is double the amount. This would seem not to be a big deal but it prompted a mood that made me hard to live with. What is worse I wound up going to sleep with this on my mind and it triggered anxiety in the early morning hours. By the time everyone was up I shared the discovery and found relief through my apology. Did I think about the Lord? No. Was I distracted by the incident? Yes. Did I pray when I was upset? No. I am so easily tripped up by my surroundings. I am indeed a work in process.

Hi! I am new and I thought I would like to share some of my scripture that I am meditating on. "Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. Do all things with out grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I may be proud that I did not run in vain or labor in vain." Phil. 2:12-16 I often do a self examination of my walk with the Lord. Yes, often I want to see His plans and ask His will, but time must be made to search out if I get into grumbling or disputing. It is easy to do these days and it tarnishes the light of God. Praise the mercy of the Lord for His forgiveness when we come to him and repent.
