  1. One platitude that I heard years ago on the show "The Golden Girls" was Dorothy telling another Golden Girl "Do what is best for you", this is a totally selfish bit of advice. When I was a crazy teen/young adult criminal what was best for me was to steal what was yours. Then I could enjoy it. The better advice is do what you feel the Lord would have you do. Using this I would not have stolen anything from anyone, and the Lord would have led me to get help for my addictions. This is what would have been best for me and the community I had terrorized.
  2. According to Canadian standards I'm poor. But to the rest of the world I am over flowing with riches they can only dream of. I guess you can call this relative poverty. I lust coined that term. You are poor as you compare yourself to such and such a reference group. I noticed during my walk that the poor and down trodden have a great sense of their need for God. When you live on the edge every day you rely more on God than Joe Cadillac. You see your need not just in material goods but in spiritual. Did you ever think it would be better if a poor man prayed for you? Keep up the praise. Praise Jesus, 53rd day sober!
