  1. This seems to me as an interesting point. But I think, let's say, if you consume 1 pound of food, you're going to also dump out 1 pound of waste from that food you consumed, (unless you have digestion problems). No?
  2. I am convinced in what I asserted about the bible flood story to start this thread. But I do not believe God can break the Law of Conservation of Matter as it has been defined. When I see such things asserted it comes across to me as a child who believes in Santa Claus. I decided to revisit this thread to cite another point from the bible supporting the flood being plasma from the sun that entered through a 130 to 50 mile oval shaped hole cracked into the firmament above the Egypt Libya border. It is the reduction in man's life span from almost 1000 years, to barely 100 years. This theory relies again on the Law of Conservation of Matter The plasma that got in through the crack didn't just vanish. It's radiation is still here and has apparently not been good for our health. I first heard the theory that changes in the sun were responsible for man's life span reduction in a different Christian chat forum, and decided that theory matched with this explanation of the flood.
  3. Congratulations. You just asserted the bible to be a meaningless piece of work. That's enough time wasted for me in this forum. Thanks for nothing.
  4. Capable of literally creating and destroying matter? Or changing / rearranging it?
  5. The Law of Conservation of Matter: Matter can't be created or destroyed but only changed and rearranged.
  6. I didn't know it was possible to change how water (H2O) cycle works in 204 and 54 days...
  7. This verse seems to fit more with the interpretation I opened the thread with. The open window of heaven was sealed. Then the "waters" that were "continually" hitting the earth for 150 days stopped. Then 40 days later it was safe to open a window in the "gopher wood ark", but the dove still couldn't land on the ground. Then 7 days later the dove found an olive leaf, but came back to the ark. Then 7 days later the dove left the ark for its freedom. If you continue to believe that this flood really happened, and believe it was literally H20 flooding the earth, where, in 54 days, did all this H2O covering all dry land evaporate off to? Shouldn't evaporating water rising eventually condensate into clouds, and saturate, and fall back down to earth?
  8. Hello Who me, It is nice to have conversations with people living in the now, rather than links pointing to a script. If you want to take a literal position, that H2O covered all land on earth, for The Flood of Genesis, I see this as a position that violates the basics of the water cycle. Water evaporates, and rises up, then, falls back down as rain. Over and over. Nothing more, nothing less. Genesis says the windows of heaven (firmament) were opened. Where did all the water go after the flood that enveloped all the world? Was it lost in space?
  9. To Who me, Perhaps you can enlighten us as to what you have come to believe about the Genesis. Can you please advise? ... What are the waters above and waters below? Where did the earth get all this water to cover all the high hills?
  10. I will just try to cut to the chase, and perhaps, or not, it will invite a more thorough discussion of the following points. 1st assumption is the sky is literally a glass firmament between earth and space. 2nd assumption is the waters above and below the firmament is not literally h2o, but is plasma, with an electric or electromagnetic charge 3rd assumption is if the firmament were the break, the electrical shock could destroy all life on earth. And the evidence of the broken firmament: The Lybian Glass Fields. You can look up the Lybian glass fields if you like, to see the glass that is colored like the dusk and dawn sky light at the horizon facing the sun. I will check back later to see if any replies. Cheers, Spongy Iris
