The wise and prudent, meaning educated and prideful due to it, babes is the symbol of a child, meaning uneducated, therefore no prideful spirits in the way of the truth. The way I look at this is, take 2 glasses of water and fill one up completely full, take the other and fill it one third up. The Lord comes along and the cup that is full, the Lord can't tell him nothing, because he already thinks he knows it all. But the man who knows very little, knows he is not educated, therefore no prideful spirits, that man the Lord can work with. Remember what the Lord said, puffed up with their fleshy mind.
