It may be but it seemed simpler than that. Like God has named you since the beginning. Something like that or maybe as simply as God has named you. I doubt that my worldly name is what is in the Lambs Book of Life:O) But then I am not a scholar in the word.

The word speaks of God having a name for each of us. I always wonder what mine is. Does he name us like those in the OT or maybe the NT? What's your thoughts on it if you have any? I haven't seen any clues in the bible, have you?

I like what you have said here. Makes sense to me. So those not predestined God knew that they would reject him. So it is not that they will grieve not being chosen as God knows that they don't want it. Thank you!

I completely agree with you. But you can't win with them. Its impossible to convince them of the truth in the word. I have been reading their posts at another forum and I am thinking that maybe they don't really believe in the Jesus we believe in. Slowly they seem to be turning away from the truth of the bible and maybe that is their eventually goal They seem to always be seeking converts.

There are so many different thoughts on this. Right now I have decided that we are all selected in the beginning but then we can be unselected by our own decisions in life. This is what I have gotten out of all the opinions. I don't think the word is clear on it. This is the hope I have that we all get the same chance
