  1. Colossians 3:12-17 English Standard Version (ESV) 12 Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, 13 bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. 14 And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. 15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful. 16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17 And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
  2. I have made the modification. =) I should form my arguments clearer and with better wording, and I appreciate you helping me to see this.
  3. I figured evolutionary biologist was close enough. Maybe I should just change the verbiage to "scientists" =)
  4. Sure, Richard Dawkins may be a good example. Also below: British philosopher, Dr. Antony Flew, was a leading spokesperson for atheism, actively involved in debate after debate. However, scientific discoveries within the last 30 years brought him to a conclusion he could not avoid. In a video interview in December 2004 he stated, "Super-intelligence is the only good explanation for the origin of life and the complexity of nature."1 Prominent in his conclusion were the discoveries of DNA.
  5. This is kind of funny... hehe I got a couple scientists here who will not accept God as designer, so they said our DNA was created by aliens. Maxim A. Makukov of the Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute and Vladimir I. Shcherbak from the al-Farabi Kazakh National University spent 13 years working for the Human Genome Project – a mission that hoped to map out human DNA.
  6. I had replied earlier with a video but apparently I did not follow the guidelines of posting, oops! I had tried providing a link to the video, but the posting guidelines did not allow me to. Take a look at Dr. Georgia Purdom, Wonders of DNA
  7. Please enjoy this video from Dr. Georgia Purdom.
  8. The main evidence of God's existence that I like the most is Design demands a designer... This world, our bodies, our minds, everything is so complex and this level of intricate design does not just appear from nothing. Many scientists who are non believers will admit design is so apparent in our DNA and Biology. Predictive prophecy is quite convincing in my opinion as well... Our bible has people who foretold events in a very detailed manner that happened exactly how they said they would over 700 years after they predicted it, no man is capable of foretelling events in the future like this, there had to be a higher power at work behind that. The Bible is super awesome in so many ways... written by all different types of people, fisherman, kings, tax collectors, priests, several different cultures over several different ages... yet the unity is amazing.. the Bible is the first book ever published, reach more people, and has been translated in over 1000 languages, the Bible has accomplished more than any other book in existence... No work of man even comes close to what the Bible has done. No man is capable of these accomplishments. It is the work of God. God used many different people, over many different times in many different ways to give us instruction in salvation and righteousness. Thank you God =)
  9. Luke 6:46 Why call ye me Lord Lord and do not the things which I say.
  10. The most amazing part of all this is, I did not seek out salvation, it found me. I did not start going to church or living a super Christian life to be saved.. Christ saved me in a supernatural way, and after that happened.. I just had a desire to change. Ever since that I have had a desire to know God more and get closer to God. My change in life came after Christ came into my life. I know we are all different and our paths to salvation are different, but I am so thankful for Gods Grace!
  11. Awesome topic! Personally I find it quite interesting because.. before I turned 30 I had no knowledge of what God wanted from his children, I had no knowledge of the Word of God, no knowledge of specifically what was evil, no knowledge of what sins were specifically, I did not know what a heathen was. I was living a life of whatever I felt was right and whatever I wanted. Once I started learning about what God asks of us, and what evil really was, and how everything that I liked in life was evil, I had to change. I felt compelled to rid my life of everything that was evil... this way the devil had no ways to put his sneaky defects into my character. It was EVERYTHING, the TV I watched was Netflix movies (mostly crime, thrillers, action, violent), I watched TV shows that were crude and taught nothing of Gods values just the opposite in fact, I listened to music that was all evil (Classic Rock, Rap), I was really only interested in the things this world had taught me growing up. So I dumped it all... Stopped watching TV completely, Stopped listening to music completely, stopped putting the garbage of the world in my mind, and I started thinking much better and clearer.. a little while after I gave all that up completely, God showed me there was much entertainment that is wholesome and God-filled.. so I now watch only Christian movies, or Christian Series on pureflix, I ONLY listen to Christian music, and from what I find, there is SO MUCH great Christian entertainment that is available to replace the garbage that is of this world... The only reason I watched and listened to that crap is because it is what everyone else around me did... now I stay away from everything everyone else watches because being cool is not of any importance to me any more... it is not about what people in this world think of me but what is pleasing to God. And I actually enjoy EVERYTHING I do so much more than I used to enjoy the crap I used to do.
  12. Do you feel Humiliation can or will lead to Humility?
  13. LOL I don't know!! I haven't studied Leviticus at all... is that what it is about??? I just saw it was about washing... Oh my!
  14. Ah I got that one now, John 13:10 ESV Jesus said to him, “The one who has bathed does not need to wash, except for his feet, but is completely clean. And you are clean, but not every one of you.”
  15. So, is it biblically required to shower or bathe at all??? Is it even suggested in the bible that we should clean ourselves or bathe ourselves? (other than our feet) I know psalms says purge me with hyssop I will be clean, but this also is suggesting spiritual cleansing. Most areas of the bible when talking about uncleanliness are about spiritual uncleanliness or defilement right? I thought it was a funny question so I had to ask it. ( I do bathe every day I just thought it was funny question )
  16. Michael! The Arch_Angel Daniel 12:1 King James Version (KJV) 12 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. And for the Woman, I must say Mary the Mother of Jesus! I did love her response to the Angel when he came.

  19. God is wonderful. God Creates WORLDS. I feel so thankful that I am a part of Gods Creation and Existence. God gave us so many beautiful things. So much beauty to appreciate and take care of. I am so thankful I get to spend ETERNITY with our perfect God and Father in heaven. I do not know exactly how heaven will be, but I do know one thing. IT WILL BE PERFECT! I just pray that those who have not yet found the love of God, will see God in everything they do and everywhere they go and they will have a hunger for right ways and righteousness and I pray a desire will grow in them to know God and to learn the word of God. Thank you Jesus!
  20. Personally, I feel very thankful for my salvation and my relationship with Christ. I know there is a LOT of people in this world who have not found the love of God that I have found. I know what life was like for me and where I was headed before my relationship with God and before my salvation. I pray constantly for those who have not found the love of God as I have. I pray constantly for those who are still lost and confused and controlled by darkness. I feel bad for them. Now that I think about it, the definition of Worry is: 1. To give way to anxiety or unease; allow one's mind to dwell on difficulty or troubles. 2. a state of anxiety and uncertainty over actual or potential problems. Now, I do not have anxiety over others actual or potential problems. But I do care that these people have these problems, I do care that they have not found the love God has for them. I would say I do allow my mind to dwell on their difficulty or troubles. And I think that is what causes me to pray for their salvation daily.
  21. Jesus told us to love everyone. We should worry about those who are not saved! Helping others to achieve the same salvation you found! Personally in my opinion, once you are repent and are saved you do not have anything to worry about for yourself. If you die, you go to a MUCH better place. We rejoice in trials We rejoice in sufferings. Situations that would aggravate or anger you are simply another opportunity to overcome, forgive and grow in love. The only thing we have to truly worry about once we repent and are saved is others who are not.
