  1. Let’s start from here: 2 Timothy 3:15-17 “And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17. That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” From the scripture above, it is clear that a definite characteristics of the Scripture is that it possesses the capacity to grant the knowledge of Salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. So, the scripture gives the revelation of Jesus Christ, to the end that men access wisdom unto salvation by placing faith in the same person. Luke 24:26-27 “Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? 27. And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.” Going forward, you might have wondered why a book like Job should exist in the Bible, and not part of the apocrypha. A book that does not even add to the progressive narration of the story of the Jews, and not even like ‘Ruth’ and ‘Esther’. Yet it is of a big size – 42 Chapters. Well, consider this a definite submission to you. The story of Job is not a strange one. How that it speaks of the affliction of a man, and thereafter blessings. It reflects restoration in persistent hope - ‘Joy after a season of sorrow and tears.’ It also addresses the question, ‘Do the righteous suffer?’ However, the story of Job is highly symbolic. There could be a revelation to the events than it appears on the surface. The story of Job typifies the suffering of Christ Jesus and the glory that should follow. Let’s do some breakdown, considering how this story reveals the wisdom unto salvation by faith in Christ Jesus. - The Bible records, by God’s sayings, that there was none as righteous has Job on earth (Job 1:1,8). Symbolically, Jesus, on earth, was perfect in righteousness like no other. He was not born of man, so he was free of the Adamic sin, tempted in all ways and yet sinned not. Hebrews 4:15. - It is communicated from the initial part of the book (Job) as if God willingly initiated the suffering of Job (Job 1:8). While the book of Isaiah 53: 10-11 makes us realise that it pleased God that Christ should suffer for the Justification of many by bearing our iniquity. - Job was despised and rejected of men, wrongly advised by his wife (Job 2:9) and not justified by his friends. Much more was the messianic ministry of Christ despised and rejected, even by those he had come to save. Isaiah 53:3. - Job embraced courage and righteousness through suffering (Job 1:21). Jesus clung to God’s will to suffer (Mark 14:36), and he accepted dying by crucifixion. - Job looked forward to redemption, even while he yet suffered (Job 14:14-15). Hebrews 12:2 reveals that Jesus endured the cross, even for the joy that was placed before him. - Even as Job prayed for his friends to be saved from punishment (Job 42:8), who had not spoken well of God, being oblivious of a perfect perception of Him. The death, burial, and resurrection of Christ Jesus is the prayer to the Father for our reception of the Holy Spirit (John 14:16) – eternal life, salvation from damnation. - Job was blessed with twice as much as he had before his suffering (Job 42:10). Jesus Christ was glorified (Isaiah 53:12) – exalted and given a name above all (Philippians 2:9-10) – Seated at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 1:3, 12:2). - The three daughters of Job, after he was blessed, were fairer than all women in the land. (Job 42:15). How blessed are we believers – who have been freed from condemnation (Romans 8:1), justified and proclaimed righteous (2 Corinthians 5:21), blessed with all spiritual blessings (Ephesians 1:3), and seated with Christ. How much more are we fairer, being His workmanship created in Christ unto good works (Ephesians 2:10). By and large, the book of Job speaks of a reality greater than just the plot. It is not just the affliction of a man, it is a symbolism of the ministry of Christ Jesus – His suffering and the glory that follows.
