  1. Sort of similar to me, parents never went to church, but i went to Sunday school at about 10yo & we got a sixpence back in the 60's. They stopped giving it out, so I stopped going. Did not really start going, & searching until my late 20's. Being saved happens over a lifetime, not a one day, get saved, special offer! If God has chosen you, He will discipline us, through maturing us, through the trials & tribulations that will come your way, gradually dying to self daily, & growing by faith. At least your honest enough to express what you feel about your own faults, & seeing them in others too, but you might be better suited not to write out your immediate thoughts here, but think on them, edit them, & then present it. I'm not trying to be a teacher here, just a bit of advice, that i need to say to myself too!
  2. I didn't need to read the whole lot, as soon as you said NIV, that was enough. The most popular, but the worst translation, as it came from the Westcott & Hort text, who were not believers. Yet even the best English translation, the KJV has errors, but at least it comes from the Textus Receptus, which is the correct one.
  3. And may your cup runneth over seeking His Truth, & i must say I'm not used to any sort of compliment, kinda feels different!
  4. That's kind of you. I have to say it looks odd when you put 'A fellow servant of His, Not me'. It looks like your denying that your a fellow servant, sorry it made me laugh, I know it was not your intention, just that 'Not me' is what you go by, hope you don't mind me mentioning it!
  5. I realise there are various ways of getting or catching disease, & some cannot be helped, but with strong Faith, & resting, & being at ease, can help cope with them all. Rom12v2 says And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. I know I get criticised a lot on this forum, but I do not let it bother me, because I am at ease in my mind, that also has a positive effect on my body too. I have always been one of those half glass full, rather than empty, type person, optimistic, despite the things that go wrong, I feel I can adapt & cope with whatever comes my way. People might say 'your lucky', no, I don't believe in luck, or coincidence, rather God incidence. Hence, for example, the only ongoing diseases, I have ever had are hay fever, asthma & underactive thyroid. Well, I grew out of hay fever, after 45yrs of having it from 10yo. Asthma I developed much later, that is gone. The most surprising is underactive thyroid, which my mother also has, & has still got. A doctor tested me, & was surprised to find mine had gone, as your supposed to have it for life, & take thyroxin. I'm not on any medication, apart from an occasional use of Ibuprofen, for the odd headache. I'm 67yo now, yes I maybe fortunate, certainly compared to my 93yo mother & 70yo sister, who suffer all sorts, & take lots of medicine, but they have no Faith, although mum would take exception to that, but she certainly changes the subject quickly if I try to speak about my Faith. They cannot understand why I don't celebrate xmas, easter & birthdays, even though I have explained my reasons. They have never been church goers, but at least mum still has an active mind, & is living a good age, like dad did, until 93yo, when he died 7yrs ago. Anyway, I don't want to go on, & bore you all, but there is a lot of arguments on here, that get a bit too personal for some, who are not able to cope as well, & would urge for folks to have more discernment, as they may be either young in their quest for more Faith, or may be suffering mentally or physically, & might need encouraging, rather than criticism.
  6. We have no rights. Job25v4-6 How then can man be righteous before God? Or how can he be pure who is born of a woman? If even the moon does not shine, And the stars are not pure in His sight, How much less man, who is a maggot, And a son of man, who is a worm?” Rom3v12 There is none who does good, no, not one.” We all deserve hell, but for God's mercy on the few, by His Grace. (unmerited favour)
  7. At the 7th trump at the end of the 7yr trib. After that, into eternity, no 1000yr after. We are in the millennium, & have been since Acts2v17. The last days (last 2000yrs), have been since 33AD, & with changes to calendars, we could be 4-17yrs out, meaning we are actually now between 2024-2037. It would be fitting as our God of order & mathematics, that we have 6000yrs (6days) of man, with the 7th day of rest, being eternity. I know of all the dispensationalist views, but I believe satan has already been released, in the last 20yrs, at least, as Rev20 says. Folks are going to say but it says 'after', but that would make no sense, as sin & death will be no more, so it really mean, as the 2000yrs are ending, satan has one last go at deceiving the elect. the cup iniquity is filling up fast, with the same 4 judgements there has been since Leviticus, sword, famine, pestilence & beast. the pestilence includes Corona, the beast is the 2nd Babylon, which is the self system, as the 1st one was destroyed in the 6th century BC, Yeshua will come back, & end that! Rev14v8 “Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.”
  8. Just all on different journeys to truth. 1000's think they have it, & believe their church doctrine, some are open to be persuaded with debate, others just liken argument, & for them it's about getting attention, & oneupmanship, so all much like 2Tim4v3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. It's about having a tough skin, & shrugging off criticism, & being strong the Faith.
  9. Ok, we do have a lot of time difference, 12.15pm here, another time, & I'm Pete.
  10. So I'm open to debate your disagreements, we can message if you don't want to publicly, but I've a feeling you wouldn't mind!
  11. I realise your trying to test me, or even trap me, but it sounds like we are on a similar page, without knowing whether you have rituals or not, but you certainly are an exception on here, having heard what I believe, & not knowing whether you agree, or want to counter any I've said.
  12. Ok, you answered as I was questioning, but agree with all that, so do you go to a particular church, or are you still seeking fellowship?
  13. I don't discount anyone, even if they continually disagree, I don't know who is elect or not, so I don't give up on folks, even if they want to give up on me, for having radical doctrine, So Christ is my example to follow, do you want to share anymore?
  14. Of course, Christ is the Alpha & Omega, & the only one who died for me, so by denying self & taking up my cross & following Him daily Lk9v23, then add to my faith 7 things 2Pet1v5-7.
