  1. Be glad to, Let us define Jn 3v16, you will notice it does not say 'for God loved the world' but 'so loved'. The word so is houto in greek, an adverb meaning 'thus, in this way' did God love world-kosmon-orderly arrangement. It goes on whosoever-paso-pas by itself would be 'all', but paso is 'the all' meaning 'the believing all' (God's elect). They are the main words that indicate its not the whole world, otherwise these verses would have to be scrapped from the bible! Jn 15v19 "If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you." Jn 17v9 "I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours." Jn 17v11 "Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep[d] through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are." Jn 17v14 " I have given them Your word; and the world has hated them because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world." Col 2v8 "Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ." James 4v4 "Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God." 1Jn 2v15 " Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him."
  2. God's love is not unconditional, as 1Jn 5v3 & 2Jn v6 says, “For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” “And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.” We keep God's commandments, by preaching the gospel, no matter what reaction we get. Agape is conditional love. An example can be given on evil agape, with someone doing something for their mafia boss, if you do it, you can remain in the gang, if not, you are out, or dead!
  3. It seems you are going against Yeshua's own words in Jn 15v16 “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”
  4. It's not a holy day, it's a pagan holiday, dressed up to look christlike, hence, why the half catholic & half protestant translators, wanted to include it for their pagan christianity beliefs.
  5. This extract is from the Sovereignty of God by A.W Pink The Sovereignty of the God of Scripture is absolute, irresistible, infinite. When we say that God is Sovereign we affirm His right to govern the universe which He has made for His own glory, just as He pleases. We affirm that His right is the right of the Potter over the clay, i. e., that He may mold that clay into whatsoever form He chooses, fashioning out of the same lump one vessel unto honor and another unto dishonor. We affirm that He is under no rule or law outside of His own will and nature, that God is a law unto Himself, and that He is under no obligation to give an account of His matters to any. Sovereignty characterizes the whole Being of God. He is Sovereign in all His attributes. He is Sovereign in the exercise of His power. His power is exercised as He wills, when He wills, where He wills. This fact is evidenced on every page of Scripture. For a long season that power appears to be dormant, and then it is put forth in irresistible might. Pharaoh dared to hinder Israel from going forth to worship Jehovah in the wilderness-what happened? God exercised His power, His people were delivered and their cruel task-masters slain. But a little later, the Amalekites dared to attack these same Israelites in the wilderness, and what happened? Did God put forth His power on this occasion and display His hand as He did at the Red Sea? Were these enemies of His people promptly overthrown and destroyed? No, on the contrary, the Lord swore that He would "have war with Amalek from generation to generation" (Exo. 17:16). Again, when Israel entered the land of Canaan, God's power was signally displayed. The city of Jericho barred their progress-what happened? Israel did not draw a bow nor strike a blow: the Lord stretched forth His hand and the walls fell down flat. But the miracle was never repeated! No other city fell after this manner. Every other city had to be captured by the sword! Many other instances might be adduced illustrating the Sovereign exercise of God's power. Take one other example. God put forth His power and David was delivered from Goliath, the giant; the mouths of the lions were closed and Daniel escaped unhurt; the three Hebrew children were cast into the burning fiery furnace and came forth unharmed and unscorched. But God's power did not always interpose for the deliverance of His people, for we read: "And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: they were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword; they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented" (Heb. 11:36, 37). But why? Why were not these men of faith delivered like the others? Or, why were not the others suffered to be killed like these? Why should God's power interpose and rescue some and not the others? Why allow Stephen to be stoned to death, and then deliver Peter from prison? God is Sovereign in the delegation of His power to others. Why did God endow Methuselah with a vitality which enabled him to outlive all his contemporaries? Why did God impart to Samson a physical strength which no other human has ever possessed? Again; it is written, "But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is He that giveth thee power to get wealth" (Deut. 8:18), but God does not bestow this power on all alike. Why not? Why has He given such power to men like Morgan, Carnegie, Rockefeller? The answer to all of these questions is, Because God is Sovereign, and being Sovereign He does as He pleases. God is Sovereign in the exercise of His mercy. Necessarily so, for mercy is directed by the will of Him that showeth mercy. Mercy is not a right to which man is entitled. Mercy is that adorable attribute of God by which He pities and relieves the wretched. But under the righteous government of God no one is wretched who does not deserve to be so. The objects of mercy, then, are those who are miserable, and all misery is the result of sin, hence the miserable are deserving of punishment not mercy. To speak of deserving mercy is a contradiction of terms. So if we had freewill, we would be sovereign, & not God, which would be rather big-headed of us!
  6. It is important to be reading the correct bible, as we cannot trust any english translation, as the translators had their own doctrine & agendas to fit in with the text. For example, in the KJV in Acts 12v4, translators have put easter, from the greek-pasha, which every other place is translated passover! The KJV is probably the most accurate, but still a lot of errors. It is virtually impossible to get an accurate english translation, because of the nuances of the greek & hebrew texts. As well as knowing the customs, culture & idioms of the people at that time. This is especially true of the hebrews, who read & wrote right to left, as well as when they looked to the future, they would say it's behind them, as it's unseen, whereas the past is ahead, & can be seen as history. Also they had to have tangible meanings to all their words, meaning they had to stand for things they could see, smell, touch, hear or speak. Every word in greek has 22-27 different ways to define, like- male, female or neuter gender, singular or plural, 1st, 2nd, or 3rd person, & whether it's nominative, accusative, dative etc, so how do you know in english when love is mentioned, whether it's agape (godly love), phileo (friendship) or eros (sexual). So what is needed is an interlinear bible, made-up from the masoretic hebrew text, & the textus receptus (received text) of the greek new testament. You can download one & it has the hebrew & greek words, along with their english equivalent. Also the Strong's concordance number for all words, to look up the root & meanings. To get more accuracy you can also have a parsing guide to conjugate the verbs, & get the grammatical construction. In depth study is important, & a great verse is Josh 1v8 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success”
  7. 2Cor 11v4 “For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.” This is the xmas & easter Jesus, which most pagan christian churches preach. Rom 16v17 “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.”
  8. As someone who was involved with various denominations, over 30yrs, who I now know preached the 'other jesus, gospel & spirit' of 2Cor 11v4. I would like to set out my beliefs now. CHURCH I believe the church started in the garden of Eden, & includes elect believers of literal Israel, along with few gentiles, like Ruth, along with new testament gentile elect, up to present day. All are spiritual Israel, predestined by God, according to His mercy. YESHUA I prefer Yeshua, to distinguish from the 'other jesus'. Yeshua died for His bride, the church, ONLY, not for the whole world. Ephraim 5v25, saying 'Christ loved the church & gave Himself for her'. BAPTISM I believe the 'one baptism' of Eph 4v5 is blood, & is defined from 2 greek words, bapto & baptizo, meaning to cover (atone) with stain or dye (blood). The same definition applied to the pitch that covered Noah's ark, which was a red stained bitumen, from the hebrew words kapher & kopher, meaning cover (atone) with stain or dye. Gen 6v14. You will notice in 1Pet 3v20-21 talks of this, as 8 souls were saved through water, being God's judgement, & the pitch of the ark, (baptism) saved them, or the ark would have sank. Water baptism was a proselyte process to become a citizen of Israel, along with circumcision, & 2 turtle doves sacrifice, which Yeshua did to fulfil righteousness. Mat 3v15. RITUALS There are no rituals, as they were nailed to the cross in Col 2v14. Everything is spiritual, & of the heart, like circumcision, being jewish of the heart, & blood baptism, which is death to self daily, & being forgiven & washed in Yeshua's blood. Also passover is spiritual, & daily, along with sabbath, resting with God daily. The worldly rituals of xmas, easter, birthdays, halloween, valentines, anniversaries etc, I don't do. My only mission, is to find others of God's elect, few though there are, & some who may not yet know they are, & like I was, maybe stuck in some church, until God helps you find His truth. If necessary, I will add more.
  9. Freewill is defined, as a noun, in the dictionary as ' the power of acting without the constraint of necessity or fate; the ability to act at one's own discretion. ' That is not how the bible defines it, it is an adjective, & is defined ' (especially of a donation) voluntary: free-will offerings. ' The bible verses citing these are; Lev 22v18, 21, 23, 38, Num 15v3, 29v39, Deut 12v6, 17, 16v10, 23v23, 2Chr 31v14, Ezra 1v4, 3v5, 7v13, 16, 8v28 & Ps 119v108. The only verse that is not free-will offerings is Ezra 7v13 ' I issue a decree that all those of the people of Israel & the priests & Levites in my realm who volunteer to go up to Jerusalem, may go with you. ' The world's definition says you can act without constraint (or without God's say so), & while we can all choose what we do, what we CANNOT do, is choose God, as it is God who chooses His elect family, which I will confirm with scripture. Num 16v5 ' and he spoke to Korah and all his company, saying, “Tomorrow morning the Lord will show who is His and who is holy,[b] and will cause him to come near to Him. That one whom He chooses He will cause to come near to Him. ' Num 24v13 ‘If Balak were to give me his house full of silver and gold, I could not go beyond the word of the Lord, to do good or bad of my own will. What the Lord says, that I must speak’? Job 14v5 ' Since his days are determined, The number of his months is with You; You have appointed his limits, so that he cannot pass. ' Ps33v10 ' The Lord brings the counsel of the nations to nothing; He makes the plans of the peoples of no effect. ' Ps 115v3 ' But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases. ' Ecc 3v14 ' I know that whatever God does, It shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, And nothing taken from it. God does it, that men should fear before Him. ' That is a great verse! Dan 4v35 ' All the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing; He does according to His will in the army of heaven And among the inhabitants of the earth. No one can restrain His hand Or say to Him, “What have You done? ' So no one (with their freewill!) can restrain God's hand! New testament time, starting with one you should all know. Mat 6v10 ' our kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. ' Jn1v13 ' who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. ' Jn 5v30 ' I can of Myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is righteous, because I do not seek My own will but the will of the Father who sent Me. ' Jn 17v9 ' I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. ' Acts 13v48 ' Now when the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and glorified the word of the Lord. And as many as had been appointed to eternal life believed. ' A convincing verse indeed. Rom 8v28 ' And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. ' Not called, but 'the called' (God's elect) Rom 9v18 ' Therefore He has mercy on whom He wills, and whom He wills He hardens. ' Say no more! Lastly, 2Pet2v10 sums up what every human has, self-will. ' and especially those who walk according to the flesh in the lust of uncleanness and despise authority. They are presumptuous, self-willed. ' As God's elect also have self-will, that needs God's forgiveness daily, summed up, famously by Paul in Rom 7v19-20 ' For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. '

  12. For those reading my posts, I probably come across as blunt & controversial, but another side of me, is my music interests. I am not one who idolises anyone, nor one to applaud, but I like an overall sound, & on the whole, I don't follow along with lyrics, as the singing for me is another instrument. I am limiting myself to naming best bands, female & male singers, but just the top ten, in no particular order, as that changes according to my mood. I am going back from 50yrs ago - present, & reflects what still sounds fresh, & not dated. BEST BANDS Radiohead, The Beatles, Steely Dan, Weather Report, Elbow, Gentle Giant, Focus, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd & Led Zeppelin. BEST MALE VOCALIST Damien Rice, Peter Gabriel, Roy Harper, John Martyn, Ed Sheeran, Stevie Wonder, Thom Yorke (Radiohead), Donald Fagan (Steely Dan), Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam), Robert Plant (Led Zeppelin). BEST FEMALE VOCALIST Kate Bush, Sia, Sandy Denny, Joni Mitchell, Tori Amos, Bjork, Joan Armatrading, Judi Tzuke, Roberta Flack, & Carole King. Because I like hearing good bass, that hold together songs & tunes, I have to include them. BEST BASS PLAYER Jaco Pastorious (Weather Report), Chris Squire (Yes), Jack Bruce (Cream), John Giblin (Session work). Pino palladino (Session work), Tony Levin (King Crimson & Peter Gabriel), Colin hodgkinson (Back Door & Whitesnake), Jah Wobble, Percy Jones (Brand X) & John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin). Coming up, best album tracks, with an odd single, that has not got boring, with endless plays.
  13. You cannot suddenly become saved, we are being saved over a lifetime of being conformed to the likeness of Christ, & crucifying self daily. Lk 9v23. Saved is sozo in greek, meaning to go from point A-B, & being protected through the lifelong process. We cannot choose God, as Yeshua said in Jn 15v16; “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you,”
  14. Before explaining, Could folks stick to the subject, & not very off into your own arguments of other things, as my last post was locked, because of said arguments, thanks. I know folks might think I am a Jehovah's witness, because of easter & xmass being pagan, but I'm not, but it is the only thing I am in agreement with them on. As for birthdays, they too are of pagan origin, & only twice mentioned in the bible, as in Gen 40 v20-23; “20 And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh's birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants. 21 And he restored the chief butler unto his butlership again; and he gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand: 22 But he hanged the chief baker: as Joseph had interpreted to them. 23 Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him.” Also in Mat 14 v6-12; “6 But when Herod's birthday was kept, the daughter of Herodias danced before them, and pleased Herod. 7 Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatsoever she would ask. 8 And she, being before instructed of her mother, said, Give me here John Baptist's head in a charger. 9 And the king was sorry: nevertheless for the oath's sake, and them which sat with him at meat, he commanded it to be given her. 10 And he sent, and beheaded John in the prison. 11 And his head was brought in a charger, and given to the damsel: and she brought it to her mother. 12 And his disciples came, and took up the body, and buried it, and went and told Jesus.” KJV Both of these were not believers, but killers, so biblically, if you want to celebrate, who are you going to kill? Obviously, births were celebrated, Yeshua's being the chief one, but no yearly celebration. Birthdays, like xmass & easter, are celebrations for self, & presents, food & booze, & I know a lot will say 'what's wrong with that'. Well for me, I want to do God's will, not my own self-will.
  15. As we are fast approaching the end of 7 months of light, (March-Sept) the pagans can revel in their festivals of halloween, xmass, new year, valentines day, mardi gras, 40 day mourning for tammuz (lent), & easter, in their 5 months of darkness, along with their so called christian friends. It seems fitting that 5 months (150days) was also judgement upon man as in Gen 8 v3 at the end of the flood. Also in Rev 9 v5 the unbelievers were tormented for 5 months, by locusts, which have a lifespan of 5 months.. Could it be that judgement for those taking part in their fleshly festivals from October through to March, still goes on, just like it did back in the old testament, with Israel going after baal & the grove (sun, moon, & tree gods). Seems similar to me, most revel in their selfishness, gluttony, presents, & debauchery, to take their minds off the cold & dark. But, of course, it's dressed up to look like it is good, with family get togethers & filling churches up at xmass, ho, ho, ho! I'm so relieved to have been away from that rollercoaster ride, for the last 15yrs, but will try to ignore the tackiness of all the ghastly decorations, that, of course, has already started 3 months before, as usual!
  16. The other sheep are still believers, but like I was before 15yrs ago, in other churches that were preaching false doctrine, so if you are one of God's elect, somehow God will show you, & will bring you out of the false doctrine, & teach you true doctrine, by His Spirit. But those who are goats, (unbelievers) cannot become sheep, & will therefore, promote their false doctrine, to keep you from knowing the truth, they might not realise they are doing that. I had to relearn everything, that I had been fed for 30yrs, & the last 15yrs the truth really has set me free, although you have to endure serious opposition, like I know I am doing, in this forum, but it is worth it, because it confirms His word, that few will go along with the truth. The false gospel makes you feel comfortable, & accepted, whilst the truth makes you feel isolated, but knowing how the disciples were hated, & killed for the faith given to them, I know too, I will be killed spiritually, & maybe for real too, in the future 7yr tribulation, where it will be against the law, to preach truth, in the 2nd half of the 7yrs.
  17. Yes, God chooses the few, read what Yeshua's own words say, in Mat 7v13-14; " Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate & broad is the way that leads to destruction, & there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate & difficulties the way which leads to life, & there are few who find it." Luck has nothing to do with it, we have either His mercy, or His wrath as in Rom 9v22-23; [What] if God, willing to shew [his] wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
  18. If he was an unbelieving sinner, it flies in the face of Jn9v31, "Now we know that God does not hear sinners, but if anyone is a worshipper of God & does His will, He hears him."
  19. The most famous verse in the bible, & yet so misconstrued by many, So let's define the words, & see what it actually says. That little 2 letter word is SO significant. If God loved all the world, that's what it would say, without the 'so'. So means in a particular manner, He loved the world. World being kosmos - orderly arrangement. People then misconstrue 'that everyone believing into Him'. Everyone is pas o - the all, not just all, the believing all, which are the few elect God has chosen. Yeshua did not die for the whole world, He died for His bride, the church, as Eph 5v25 says, "....just as Christ loved the church & gave Himself for HER." People love to quote Rom 10v13, saying that whoever, or everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Whoever, again is 'the all', His elect. The next verse, v14 "How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed?" You cannot be an unbeliever, & call for Him to save you, when your dead in your sins, as an unbeliever, for God does not hear sinners, only believers who have sinned! That's the truth of His Word, & most won't like it, but it still needs to be said.
  20. If Yeshua said it in Jn 15v16, that is good enough for me!
  21. It's ok to be cynical, but your wanting a rise from me, won't happen, but I can laugh with you, & your friend on the box.
  22. What you put down is english gematria, I'm talking of biblical gematria, which is hebrew of the old testament, & greek of the new testament, you can see how all the numbers link to the letters, if you search 'biblical gematria'.
  23. Just to be clear, God chooses His elect, Jn 15v16, we cannot accept or deny Christ, we are either sheep or goats, we cannot change from one to another, that is false gospel teaching.
  24. Did you really write that, after all the evidence? Resurrection is female gender (bride, church), & refers to our coming to life, after dying to this flesh, daily. As 2Tim 2v18 "have strayed concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is past & they overthrow the faith of some." Yeshua's own words in Lk 9v23 "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, & take up his cross daily & follow Me." Your why not? answer, seems to imply, it's ok, as long as we mention Jesus!
  25. I have been twice, when I was in the pentecostal church, & was even baptised in the River Jordan, but I don't believe in water baptism now, as it is spiritual blood baptism, where our hearts are sprinkled. It was good to see Bethlehem from the Mount of Olives, I hadn't realised it was only a few miles away. In Jerusalem, there was a lot of religiousosity, with robes of eastern orthodox church. Floating in the dead sea was amazing, you could sit up & read the paper, but make sure you don't put your head under, as some kids did, but on the shore they had showers to wash off, as your left a bit slimy with the 30% salt & minerals in there. People with skin complaints go there, for the healing minerals of the sea. I know this, as I cut my foot, but within an hour my foot had, for the most part, healed over, & because the land lies so low, the UV rays of the sun are minuscule, so actually does you good. Meggido was vast, where Armageddon will be. We went up Mt Nebo where Moses saw the promised land, but could not enter. You get through loads of bottled water as it's 30-33 degrees everyday, but amazingly hardly any flies. The lake of Galilee we went round by boat, we weren't brave enough to walk on the water! Overall 2 best holidays I have ever had, the bible comes to life.
