  1. A young homeless couple is trying to get off drugs and turn to Christ, and since they're making progress Satan is working on them hard now. Their names are Jesse and Sierra. Below is the original post and follow up I left about them in my Worthy welcome thread yesterday which explains how we met and where they're at right now. Prayer for them would be much appreciated brothers and sisters. Can everyone please, please pray for this couple? Their names are Jesse and Sierra. She wanted to finish off the last of what they had and he was feeling good/strong so he thought he could handle it and the demons attacked them hard and he said really hurtful things and came and found me to talk. He's really beating himself up, because of how great he was doing and then backsliding so abruptly. I can tell he really, really doesn't want to go back to this and is very sincere about getting back on the straight and narrow, but that guilt and shame is messing with him now. I told him to repent and keep asking Jesus for forgiveness, (and that I backslid on my drinking a few times, but to never quit on quitting, and boldly approach the throne for grace and he will receive it, it's a process, a walk and it will get easier) and guidance of the Holy Spirit to apologize to her and make things right. That Jesus and the angels were rejoicing this morning and they're not ready to give up on him just like that, and that's the Devil talking. They're too close to getting out of this hell to give up (if Sierra could clean up and set a good example for her kids in the future like she did in the past, it would be such a Godsend for that family), and I would really appreciate everyone's prayers for them. And any advice or wisdom I could pass onto them in future about this as I am still new to ministering. I ain't no pastor! Thank you everyone.

  3. Brothers and Sisters, Jesus grew the seed I planted!!! On August 1st, the first day I was homeless I met a homeless couple that were both addicted to heroin. The woman was a divorced mother of four who had backslid from her faith and her boyfriend was a good-hearted man who believed in a higher power but never had Jesus in his life. I would see them and talk to them once or twice a week, reading a little from the Gospel's each time and encouraging them to go to a rehab center and get off the drugs. She was very interested and clearly was a believer who had lost her faith after she left her husband and lost care of her children, and he wasn't averse at all. Well, I saw him this morning about two hours after my other homeless friend (Mr. Matthew 6:26) left the bench and he was in incredible spirits and told me he had been detoxing for three days and accepted Jesus into his life! I was stunned! We just talked for three hours straight about the Bible and Jesus and he was so obviously born again. I've never seen him so happy and he couldn't stop talking about Jesus and he just knew he was God in the flesh (I had explained the beginning of John to him and it clearly stuck!) and we shared scriptures back and forth and it was the most faith strengthening thing I've ever experienced. I'm still stunned honestly. He had such a similar reaction to the Holy Spirit that I had, for instance mid curse, the word would catch in his throat "fu--" and he would look at me wide eyed like, "whoah" and he couldn't quit stressing how peaceful, clear and grounded he felt. Everything just suddenly made sense to him. It was easily the best experience of my life along with my own awakening two months ago. And I can't wait to see her again, because she was encouraging him so much to give Jesus a try. I can't imagine this won't be incredibly encouraging to her as well! Jesus is amazing and I feel so blessed I can't really believe this is my life right now. I've always wanted to help people but I was a depressed, nihilistic atheist since I was a teenager(27 now), and didn't have any hope so I just didn't know how to do that. Now, with the Good News of the Gospel I have a clear message of Truth and Love to share with people. And I told him I'd been praying for them both and he was really grateful for that and we were both so amazed that there truly is power in prayer! I mean, I've already had many prayers answered, but this was the most undeniable and faith strengthening one yet! I've been struggling with suicidal thoughts since I was 16 (two attempts, and four mental hospitalizations) and Jesus IMMEDIATELY took it all away. I haven't had a single suicidal thought since the hour I first believed and I know I never will again. Jesus truly saves! This has been an incredible day. Praise the Lord of Lords and King of Kings! All the Glory to God! Hallelujah!
  4. Oh, I will! I've been talking about Jesus to anyone out here who will listen. Been itching to talk with fellow believers, though, so I'm excited to be here. I live in WA state, a little north of Seattle on the ocean. Gorgeous area.
  5. I'm homeless right now and was just reading from the Sermon on the Mount with a fellow homeless man I've befriended and just as we we got to Matthew 6:26 'Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?' a young man walked up to our bench and gave us some food. Maybe the most perfect timing I've ever experienced. God is truly amazing!
  6. Hello my fellow Christian brothers and sisters! Very happy to have found this site. It looks interesting, uplifting and active, just what I was looking for. Born again late June and the last two months have been incredible. I'm so excited to have the Holy Spirit guiding me and drawing closer to Jesus Christ! I enjoy reading the Bible aloud (especially the Gospels!) and I love the way 'Sea of Galilee' rolls off the tongue, hence my username. Greatly looking forward to getting to know and learn from you all. From what I've browsed the community seems great. Moderate away!
