  1. I have been a part of this forum for some time and I am truly blessed to see all of you faithfully pray for prayer requests posted here! God is so good and you really let the light of God's love shine to all who ask for prayer! :th_praying:

    We are tremendously blessed as Christians to be able to pray to a loving Father and have Him answer us. He is simply wonderful and I praise His beautiful name!

    For those who are able, please lift up my family and I this Christmas season as we have some very big decisions to make in the first few months of the new year. The Lord has been faithful to answer our prayers and has guided us over the last several years right on time. Never early! :) But never late! We have set our next house move date for the summer of 2020 and would appreciate all prayers for wisdom and more clarity about where to move to next. My whole family is involved and many are affected in this next phase of life so we want to stay right in the center of God's will for us with so many affected by the big move. Please lift up my kids school too as they are adjusting well being they have only attended for 2 years and have finally gotten over being the 'new kids'. We need His continued protection and direction in every area of all of our lives. Thank you in advance for praying for my family and I!

    I was so inspired that I wrote this prayer for others to use if they like:

    Dear Father, in this moment of prayer I place my family into Your loving care. I lift up my parents, spouse, children and grandchildren. Thank You that they are in Your keeping. I know and believe that You are faithful to watch and care for them. You are able to keep that which I commit to You against that day. No weapon formed against them shall prosper and every tongue that rises against my family, You shall show to be in the wrong. Thank You for Your guidance and protection over my family and I. Thank You for the angels You have commanded concerning my family. They shall keep us and guard us in all our ways. Thank You Lord that we remain right in the center of Your will in all things. In Jesus Name, amen.

    PS - I just want to personally say thank you Daniel at DailyEffectivePrayer.org and all the other online prayer warriors out there who have prayed for and in agreement with me! Thanks especially to you brothers & sisters here on Worthy too who are standing in agreement with me through prayer. I believe God is good and His plans for me and my family are good.

    These are some scriptures to use when believing for similar family issues as I, etc. I believe prayer based on God's Word is what brings about results (in my opinion). I hope these bible verses bless you as much as they do me. :thumbs_up:

  2. Thanks for being honest about how you feel.

    Blood Bought nailed the answer. People are in hell for not accepting Jesus. Thats it.

    If I went by my feelings I would not have gone to church today. 

    I look at God's Word and believe it, whether I feel like it or not. He cannot lie.

    Faith is trusting God more than I trust my feelings or circumstances.

    I am praying for you as I know what you mean by your post. I felt that way too at times but thankfully, ended up staying in the place of trusting God over my feelings.

    Don't get me wrong. I have questions too, for Him. One day, He'll answer them if really need to know in the end.

  3. I want to list some scriptures about strength here too in case anyone wants/needs them. Prayer based on scripture is vital.

    Bible Verses For Strength:

    Isaiah 12:2 2 Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The LORD, the LORD himself, is my strength and my defense ; he has become my salvation.”

    Isaiah 33:2 2 LORD, be gracious to us; we long for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation in time of distress.

    Isaiah 40:29-31 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

    Philippians 4:13 13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

    Psalm 119:28 28 My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word.

    Ephesians 6:10 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.

  4. Sorry, I know you're asking how we tackle the Bible but I must say, you're method really stirred me up to dig into the Word more than I do. Thanks for posting! I like your method of reading God's Word, particularly when you mentioned that you pick up Bibles from charity shops and book exchange boxes. I like having a real Bible in my hand now and again.     I agree. I just posted about that on another thread. When we see a sign or wonder, we need to ask who gets the glory. With Hickey, the Lord got the glory. ;)
