  1. This is a good reminder! To often we only want to praise the Lord for what he does in our lives, instead of for who he is! God bless ?
  2. Amen!? not always so easy to do but working on it! God bless ?
  3. Hello ?and welcome.. Remember always begin your decisions with prayer and God will guild you. We all step out unsure if we heard from God at times, but God always finds us if we're not in his will. With this, I believe stepping toward a friendship is best, unless the friend is trying to lead you astray. To answer your question with my opinion, I'd say no. Don't end a friendship over different views. That's not being a friend. Friendship is being there when others need you, accepting others for who they are. Being able to talk over differences and so on. It seems that your friend may have different views about the work place and his role their. This doesn't mean that he don't want to be friends, if this was the case I don't believe he would of wanted you to work there. Also everyone changes, he may have changed a lot since college, maybe it's time to begin a new type of friendship with him, getting to know one another now and building from there. I'd give it a chance to grow once again even if this means stepping back at work. God bless you ?
  4. Merry Christmas my dear friend Dusty Road, I am so glad you returned to worthy and your doing much better! May you be blessed this holiday season, as well as Lady.
  5. Oh thank you turtletwo, that was beautiful and encouraging. I love it? May you also have a wonderful Christmas ? as you celebrate the same, as I know you will because I can see your heart in your posts and threads. Your love for Jesus is an inspiration. God bless you always ?
  6. Dear brothers and sister's, I wanted this thread to bless each of you this holiday season, as well as wishing each one a very merry Christmas. As it seems their will always be disagreements among us, may we all be able to come together and praise God for giving us Jesus Christ. To find the joy in him, to see the miracle in his divine birth and to bless him for loving us so much by giving us this most precious gift, his son. For if only for a moment, set aside our differences and be in unity with this one remembrance (Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace, goodwill toward men. ")
  7. That's ok sister,I was just agreeing with you and I believe what you said was well spoken! let us stand strong together this Christmas season, and know what Christmas really means and proclaim it! (whatever history says .. rightly or wrongly .. Christmas for me is celebration of Jesus Christ's birth .. He came to give His sinless life on the cross to pay the debt aka price for mankind's sinfulness from Adam and Eve on .. He was named Immanuel aka Emanuel, meaning "God with us" .. Christ was/is Messiah, Lord and Saviour .. so, Christmas for me is all about the aforementioned, nothing to do with pagans or their celebrations .. as for the fun part of Christmas, Santa Claus and gift giving was originally St. Nicholas who was there for the poor as was good King Wencelas (spelling?) .. and although part of pagan worship, the Christmas tree to Christians is just a beautifully decorated tree which adds to the happiness of Christmas .. its lights cheer up the darkness and Christ is Light of the World, so maybe Christmas tree lights lighting up a darkened room can be a symbol or not but certainly nothing to do with paganism .. so Christmas for me is spiritual around Jesus Christ Son of God and God Himself and Saviour of all mankind and around the fun part .. soooooooo, Merry Christmas to all .. Happy and Holy Christmas to all .. )
  8. Just thought I'd add this The Magic of Christmas "The Magic of Christmas" is an original Christian poem about the true spirit of Christmas, which can't be bought or wrapped up in a box; it comes from the inside as we share goodwill with those around us: "Joy to the World," the carolers sang out As last minute shoppers scurried about, Desperately seeking that one special gift That would give Christmas morning a magical lift. As an old man stood standing, listening to the song, Midst all the madness of the bustling throng, In a shaky, hoarse voice he began to join in Singing the words of the famous old hymn. One by one people stopped with their madness To join with the old man for a moment of gladness. By the time the carolers finished with singing the song, The whole throng was united as they all sang along. As if by magic from out of the sky Church bells rang out from a chapel nearby. And when it was over the people greeted each other With messages of goodwill, they shared with one another. You see, that magical gift the shoppers sought for so long, Was not in the buying or scurrying along. That magical gift so desperately sought Was the Spirit of Christmas—which could never be bought. -- Tom Krauseits I believe The world seeks for something during Christmas, perhaps they think magical, perhaps it's fantasy or perhaps they don't understand they really are looking for the miraculous. A love, a peace a true joy to receive, something to grasp and hold on to for the new approaching year. Why isn't it then our job to offer what is real? Jesus Christ is this wonderful reason for the season. I believe this poem shows how one can influence many, let us be that one this Christmas that is the influence! Revlori God bless ?
  9. Amen Not Me! This I do try everyday, however I find at more times my spirit is willing and my flesh is weak. For doing what is right and pleasing to God is certainly a choice that we should absolutely strive for and with the holy spirit we can forever grow in this. Thank you for encouraging us today as we look toward ourselves and even the motives behind our actions to see if we really are pleasing to God! God bless ?
  10. That's so true, We live in a corrupt world for sure, a world Full of racism, that happens everywhere to all people. Aren't we glad that God accepts everyone in his family that will receive Christ? Did you ever think of what heaven will be like when all of us get there? Every color, every different nationality, people of every shape and size, wow what a time that will be, no one will ever cast judgement again.... have a blessed day brother!
  11. Regardless if I don't see miracles like this today, I will chose to believe that God performs miracles and uses his people is these wonderful amazing ways. I am open to his will in my life, and I will continue to pray for and lay hands on the sick. This message today was encouraging to me, because my husband has MS and his health has declined, but praise God he is the same and he does perform miracles today and he does still heal the sick! Thank you guys!
  12. Hello Kenzie You have gotten very good advice from your brothers and sisters here dear, and I can only agree with them. I can also share something that might lighten things up and make you smile. I am white, however I am very tan. I keep a tan even in winter compared to my lovely extremely white sisters and beautiful very very white daughter. This was an issue when me and my sister's would play outside by my grandmother's home. Please no one take this to offence! My grandmother would see us and call me a little brown jug and tell me if any one comes to hide behind the house. Really I was always tan and in the summer I get really dark.My sisters thought this was hilarious and would make fun, but things do turn around. As we all grew up, me the dark one, wouldn't get sun burnt but alas, they burn constantly, except my baby sister who now Go's to the tanning bed all year to keep a tan like me. You see God makes us all special, by the way my husband is white but looks like a red man. His skin never turns tan its like a red orange, two of my children are like really light white and my third is like me, remains tan. So you see, let people think or say what they want. I know I'm a pretty woman ( not being sarcastic, or swell headed. I know God made me pretty and my husband thinks so lol) my children are beautiful and handsome as well as ( to me) my husband is. Be happy dear with you, and one day if the Lord willing you will meet a handsome man who will adore you for you! God bless ?
  13. That's a wonderful way to be reminded of who Jesus is to us everyday, through our valleys and our mountains, this may keep us moving forward in him! Praise God! Thank you and may you have a very Merry Christmas to My friend, God's blessings!
  14. Thank you, as I accept your Happy winter holiday in love, may you in turn except my Merry Christmas in brotherly love! For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 Luke 2:11 Today in the City of David a Savior has been born to you. He is Christ the Lord! Matthew 1:23 "Behold, the virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call Him Immanuel" (which means, "God with us").
  15. Perhaps you don't understand the reason Christians celebrate the birth of their savior, lifting up JESUS Christ is not nonsense, and God is pleased that we lift up Christ everyday, especially at Christmas as we stand up and proclaim he is King. We express this joy as we show his love to everyone, even to those who have a hard heart, those to whom sadly view Christmas as pagan, to those who are lost and dying, to ALL mankind in hopes that we can win one to Christ. The Christmas joy( Christ our king being born) is the perfect opportunity to share him. Nonsense seems to be then, not sharing Christ during the season when he's most accepted. 1. We share the joy of Christ by giving a card, a gift, sharing a meal. 2. We let others know this joy by sending a note, by a Merry Christmas greeting, by a warm decorated home that invites and welcomes strangers. 3. We attend church services where millions only attend on Christmas to here the message of his birth, why because of the joy of Christ that's shared on this blessed and holy day that we as the world has set aside. This is nonsence? No This is not God approved? No, God's blessings are upon Christmas! God uses many means to tell everyone of his love. Christmas is one of those days. Do you really believe Satan would of come up with a day that brings honor to Jesus Christ? no. To the very one he tried to kill and hates with an eternal hatred? No God has blessed Christmas and to enjoy this day is not nonsense. It's sad that people who claim to be Christians can't see the joy in this wonderful season. How sad it must make even God when those who say they are his children will not honor his son, when so many people's hearts are opened toward him on Christmas. I will still wish you a merry Christmas because I believe it is by this joy that I share in this season, as well as those who have also said merry Christmas!
  16. May you have a merry Christmas Betha and a blessed beginning to your new year. The Christmas joy is shared in many ways, for each person shares there joy and love as uniquely as we are God made individuals. When that love and joy is shared, We should be able to receive that as a blessing and with the same heart, be a blessing to others.
  17. Love the pic! Merry Christmas and have a blessed new year my sister!
  18. Have a wonderful Christmas my friend!
  19. Have a wonderful Christmas my friends!
  20. The Day of the Lord" is a biblical term and theme used in both the Hebrew Bible (יֹום יְהוָה) and the New Testament (ἡμέρα κυρίου), as in "The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come" (Joel 2:31, cited in Acts 2:20). I personally agree with this, that it is the day in which the Lord Jesus will return to earth. However no one can give a date to this, so I can't answer when. God bless you ?
  21. Praise God Daily verse and quote, praise God. My desire is to be used by God, and walk so closely to him, that people will only see Christ in me and his anointing to flow from me that God will receive all glory and praise. sadly with broken heart, I'm not there yet, but I refuse to quit or give up, and I will forever press on as long as I have breath. God bless you my friend.
  22. Perhaps look into an aide to be with her. Many insurance companies will pay for service's as well. My daughter is an aide that goes into people's homes, does small chores for them and provides company for them for so many hours at a time. This may be something that may also help you and your wife. I know with my husband, we agree on most subjects most of the time, however at times I must make a decision for his good and mine. Perhaps look into what your options are through your insurance company and then take them over with her. Remember there's no shame in needing help, perhaps letting her know you need help to,will help her accept help from others as well.
  23. AMEN... Wonderful for the holiday (well all year through ) but because so many are celebrating Christmas, let us praise God for our savior, the very reason for the season.... God bless and Merry Christmas?
