  1. This is walter...that is not my post. I don't know how that got changed with someone else's.
  2. And God bless you as well. In many verses I read that at the Lord's coming there will be His people waiting for Him. 1Th.4:17 : " Then we which are alive and remain..." 2Tim 4:8 : "...but also unto all them that love His appearing." Isaiah 25:9 : "And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God; we have waired for Him, and He will save us..." Hebrews 9:27 : " ...and unto them that look for Him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation." Mt.24:31: "....and they shall gather together His elect (all of God's chosen, Jew and non-Jew) from the four winds...." ( When the Son of man comes in the clouds Of heaven with great power and glory....v.30) And so many more describing the final event of the world as we know it.
  3. well yes that is correct. Our reasons are different, however. I believe they both represent God's people in all nations that endure till the end, after Great Tribulation, waiting for the salvation of the Lord. The "two witnesses" seem to be like the "two anointed ones" in Zechariah 3. Could they be a representation of the old and new testament church?
  4. Roe v. Wade is unconstitutional. The Unborn should be covered under the Declaration of "LIFE, liberty and the pursuit of happiness." Maybe one day we'll have a bold enough President- someone who doesn't care what the evil opposition thinks, and get this thing overturned. ( of course I already believe we have that someone. I am hoping and praying that in his second term it will be done.)
  5. CHURCH (assembly) Ingredients: 1) Holy Spirit Indwelling. 2) Bible (King James Recommended) 3) Helpful study aids (avoid commentaries and opinions) 4) One or more true believers (with the mind of Christ). This is not a necessary ingredient... you may not be so fortunate. Ultimately your fellowship is with GOD. This recipe comes from the Bible. Unfortunately what you see today and might be part of is not very Godly. Sorry.
  6. Well. so far so good. "peace through strength" is the only thing that works with terrorists. I also noticed the Iranian people rising up against their evil regime. Thank God for President Trump in supporting those people.
  7. So where's the sin in supporting someone who has the ability to pass righteous legislation while were still here on Earth? I don't know President Trump's heart just like anyone else but I see the positive things that he's doing that Christians should be glad about. He is exposing these evil beasts and they are doing everything they think they can to stop him. God please protect President Trump!
  8. You mentioned a lot of stuff here which I have to look over. My question for you is: since you believe that God will "rapture" believers before the period Of Great Tribulation begins, who exactly is going to be down here witnessing the gospel to those who are really going to need it before the end of the world?
  9. If you have a concordance you can examine the number "ten" or "seven" and see how God uses the number in the context of the verse. A good example is Matthew 18: 21 -22 : Peter asks Jesus " how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?" Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven." So obviously Jesus isn't saying that after the 490th time you can no longer forgive your brother, but that there is no end to forgiveness, that forgiveness is perfect in its purpose.
  10. yes indeed. "And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be One LORD, and His name One." ( Zechariah 14:9) just an observation here: Don't the millenialists teach that Jesus will only "reign" from Jerusalem? If the Lord Jesus Christ is "King over all the earth", then all nations should be subject to or submit to Him.
  11. This will be the most fascinatingly incredible thing we could ever see... don't even think you can describe it in words! This is why I am very passionate about what I believe regarding the end of all things. Christ's coming will be instantaneous as in "the twinkling of an eye"(1Cor.15:52)...."and so shall we ever be with the Lord"(1Th.4:17). It's not complicated at all. I truly believe that Satan wants to confuse the simple understanding that when Jesus comes we better be ready - we only have one opportunity. So somewhere in church history maybe 200 years ago or so? This "Millennial Reign" teaching began to form combining the beautifully illustrative descriptions of Heaven in the Old Testament with the metephorical phrase "a thousand years" In the highly allegorical book of Revelation, no where else. You know if Jesus was talking to his disciples in the Book of Matthew and said there would come a time of a thousand years that I will be here and reign in this sin infested Earth that would be a different story.
  12. You may consider this ( if you haven't already). In it's proper context, numbers can have spiritual meaning in the Bible. You can see certain patterns develop like with the numbers ten, hundred or a thousand which could describe the "completeness" of whatever is in view. Twelve is like "fullness" usually referring to the 12 tribes of Israel or the 12 apostles. Spiritually they can represent the fullness of believers or Gentiles as in Romans 11. If you multiply the fullness of the Apostles and Israel (12 ×12)( as a side note the number two can represent the church or Old and New Testament) you have a 144. Multiplied by 1,000 and behold you have the "complete fullness" of all the saved of the Earth. ( even the Jehovah's Witnesses will admit that there just can't be a hundred and forty four thousand people going to heaven) So in Revelation 7 I believe the hundred forty-four thousand represent all of God's people, Jew and non-Jew...."ALL ISRAEL" (Rom.11:25-26)
  13. I would appreciate it if you could show me the verses that you use to support your understanding of the timing of the Great Tribulation.
  14. Have not considered that. I know that he knows he will have "a short time" (Rev. 12:12) and I do consider the "short time" to be from the beginning of the Christian church to the end of this world. However I do see the "last day" as the "day of the LORD". It will come as a " thief in the night" ( 2Peter3). But oh how interesting the time will be right before that day. In a few short words I am "pretty convinced" that there will be five months of spiritual torment (Rev.9). This could be the duration of the Great Tribulation, shortened for the" elect's sake." ( Mt. 24:22).
  15. The point I was trying to make was to consider how the phrase "a 1000 years" is interpreted. There is no other place in the Bible where you can find "a thousand years" relating to some sort of literal earthly reign. While we are at it you will not find any evidence of a "second", "third" or any number of resurrections , only one. Consider this: If the phrase "a thousand years " was approached from a symbolic standpoint, those who take part in the "first" resurrection ( every saved person) will recieve their new resurrected bodies and will then reign with Christ in eternal glory ( "a thousand years")...." and so shall we ever be with the Lord" (1Thess. 4:17) I believe that the "second death" is another way God is describing the resurrection of the unsaved . At Christ's coming ( Judgment Day), the resurrected remains of the unsaved along with those alive will be destroyed by the fire of Christ's coming ( "the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." 1Peter 3:10). Could this "lake of fire" in Rev. 20:14-15 be those earth purifying flames? Death and hell (the grave) is destroyed forever (cast into the lake of fire)..."this is the second death."
