David,
Thank you David for posting this! I am blessed by everyones responses and will take to heart all of your advice as well. May the Lord be blessed by our worship to Him! May it be a sweet aroma that He is well pleased with.
I have recently returned to the music ministry in our church after a yr long time off. God had showed me many things through this time off. I think it is a constant battle to not perform but to truly be a worshiper. There is alot of mechanics to this ministry and easy to fall into the flesh and our ability to accomplish the task. We were just at a meeting for the Music Ministry and we talked about examining ourselves on a constant basis. When they were carrying the arc of the covvenant, they thought they were doing what they should and yet God was not pleased. We can fall into this same attitude - doing.........all the right things and yet God is not pleased........maybe our hearts are not pure.........maybe our motive is not in the right place..............that is why it is so important to constantly be in submission & surrender to Him so that we can hear from Him, be Spirit lead not man directed.
Sorry didn't mean to go on and on. Thank you all again for your wonderful incite!
The Lord's blessing on you al!
In His Service,
Lynn~
