I am currently reading the Bible cover to cover for the first time in my life and am very excited about it! I started Proverbs last night.

I love animals, have a 3 lb. Yorkshire Terrier named LuLu and a 13 year old cat that bites. Nobody likes her but me.

Everyone in my household is baptized (Praise God) and go to church regularly.

I hate my job, am not crazy about New Jersey (I'm originally a New Yorker) and have a long way to go before I can get rid of the old me but I'm trying!

1. WOW!! Thank you so much for posting! I just love how The Lord works... I "just so happened" to "suddenly" decide to "check out" what was "going on" on Worthy Boards and read this... AWESOME!! Can't wait to see it!!! Go Jesus!
2. Good question...Because when I get angry it usually means I want to punch somebody in the mouth
3. About your singing: I'll bet The Lord doesn't think so! Sounds like you and I have the same taste in music and I absolutely LOOOOVE Newsong You might, too
4. Unless this band is trying to show us what it would be like if God gave up on us, it sounds more like these are lyrics satan would just love for us to believe... Not all who say Lord, Lord... Careful of what you listen to.
5. This politically correct nonsense is soooo getting out of hand...How sick of it am I? Now the gay people are fighting for the "rights" of "gay animals" I WANNA GO HOME!
6. Well...I ordered my copy and am looking forward to seeing it. It sure beats Desperate Housewives, Roll Bounce, Corpse Bride, Joey, Sex and the City and all of the other useless nonsense out there...
7. satan comes in many forms...anything that causes you to walk away from The Lord is satanic...Now, I'm not saying that your boyfriend is the devil what I am saying is that the devil is using your boyfriend to lead you in the wrong direction. Any time any thing causes you to stumble and doubt God should be a giant red flag that you need to run closer to Him and if this means leaving your boyfriend so be it. Tell your boyfriend how you feel as you're exiting the door in the hopes that he, as he watches you walk away from him, will see the light... then walk out the door and don't look back. Absolutely no one and no thing is worth losing The Lord over. Be blessed.
8. Wow.. this is a tough one because initially I thought "Why didn't this school look at the bigger picture and allow this child to stay...Then with fellowship and prayer win her over to Christ and through her her parents would be taught the truth - lovingly" then I thought... "The word of God is nothing to be ashamed of and you don't whisper it into peoples ears you yell it! Not mean spirited but not disguised as anything else either...And all we need now is for these 'parents' to file a lawsuit against the school for attempted brainwashing so stick to the rules and so be it." What would I have done if I were running the school? I would have allowed her to stay...teach her The Word, send other kids her age who are equipped to deal with such matters (kids that are mature in their Christian walk) to talk to her and then if the parents don't like it tell them "This is what the word of God Almighty says and if you don't like it you take her out" and pray that the girl took something with her whe she left. My 2cents.

QUESTION

I promised to come back to this after asking my Pastor (for those who care) Question: Can a person have Christ as his Savior without submitting to Him as Lord? My Pastor says....YES
10. All I know is...and I don't know everything that they are waiting for a king that will deliver them...Not understanding, of course, what "king" really means or "deliverance" since they are thinking of these things in worldy terms... I imagine. But in all fairness...I ordered a movie (not yet released) called "The Judas Project" in which Jesus and His ministry is brought to us in modern terms..."What if Jesus came today? What if He didn't come 2000 years ago? Would we believe He is who He says He is?" reads the description... I bought it hoping to understand the Jews and learn to stop criticising them...Hopefully, this movie will not let me down... In the meantime, I have my nose stuck in the Bible, reading page by page from the book of Genesis...which helps IMMENSLY.
11. As yod said it is ignorance to think that if you're Jewish you're not saved...I know...I used to think the same thing... That was back when I didn't know anything. I thought that believing in Christ automatically made you "Christian" so therefore you couldn't possibly be Jewish...makes sense right? Sure, when you don't know any better...But, after picking up my Bible and reading the Truth I know now that this is not the case. Just pray for those that tell you these things that someday they will know the truth - like I did. God Bless you! Lorry
12. I don't miss anything about this life... I WANNA GO HOME!!!! But...I hear ya my friend...I am shocked at what I see on TV, billboards, and in commercials nowadays!! Just to name a few....
13. They will, my brother in Christ...Don't you worry...Your life will be a testimony in itself. I have, long ago, decided to lend a deaf ear to the religious folk...They hurt me more than helped...So, now I go to God for everything! Cheesecake for dessert! Right on DaBronx!! Yes, I attend church services regularly (even though I dislike a lot of what's going on there), yes I fellowship with Christian friends every chance I get and I come on here and one other Christian forum for certain issues but mainly my focus is on Jesus and what He thinks. May my cup runneth over on this one!!! Don't let the enemy confuse you...You are living in the Word and that's what matters! Again AMEN!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> <{POST_SNAPBACK}> What.... no chocolate? LOL Hope I helped, my brother
