I have a family that lives in Dallas and according to them the news casts there are saying that the businesses there made about 600 million dollars in one day from all the people who drove and flew to Dallas just to see the eclipse. That is just Dallas. Small towns in East Texas had so many people they declared emergencies to bring out people to help keep things moving.

We were about 40 miles just west of the total eclipse. We had a few very thin clouds that made it hard to get a good photo. I didn't bring my good cannon camera, and just couldn't get my phone to focus very well.
