    All of which we would do if someone invaded the USA.  That is what the emergency broadcast system is set to do.  During my TV director days it was my job at both stations to maintain the EBS system.   When the military would go to devcon2 when things were tense in the 60s and 70s we were not allowed to turn the transmitters off even after signoff.   Many nights I sat and waited to see if something was happening.  Not allowed to even let people know why I wasn't going to be home.   It was just known that if I didn't come home we were under an alert or I died in a wreck on the way home.

  2. It only takes a net wealth of 93,000 to be in the top 10%of the globe. If you own a house and not in debt one can easily be in the top 5% of the world.

    What is a poor American? That is difficult to say for we all have different lives with different needs. Medical problems give you different needs. Living in different places give one different needs. Up until a year or so age my wife had prescription drug costs that averaged $130,000 a year. We had insurance to cover that which others I know do not.  That would figure into who was poor to me.

    Can you say its some income, or net worth?

    For me personally, if you are out of debt with a hundred dollars in your pocket and a dry place to sleep, you are better off than half or more people of the globe.  People with a lot of stuff they are paying credit card debt are not poor, they are stupid.

  3. About 40 years ago I stopped smoking...   I weighted  about 200 pounds.   over the next 15 years I peaked out at 355.  I wasn't really out of shape, just fat.   It didn't stop me from working just make it a little more difficult.

    After playing with a couple of diets, an old doctor friend of mine explained how the human body works.    If you eat/drink more calories than you burn throughout the day, your body stores fat.   So the secret to loosing weight is not taking more calories than you can burn.   It takes about 3,000 calories to loose a pound of fat.

    Long story short for me, I went on a 1.000 calorie a day diet.  To do that one has to not only change how much we eat, we have to change what we eat.   Believe it or not you can eat between 900 and 1,200 calories a day and not be hungry.    I did this along with taking vitamins and some minerals.  In 6 months I lost 75 pounds.   Unfortunately at that time I took a fall and broke my left wrist.   My doctor wanted me to stop the diet for a couple of months to help my arm heal faster.   So I did.   I held my weight for several years at about 275. then it started back up and at 298 I went back on my 1,000 calorie a day diet.   It is a lot of work to plan out a menu with that amount of calories and still get the nutrition you need.   I made the decision to give Nutrisystem a try and so far that has worked out well.   October 1st I went on the diet and about October 15th I started Nutrisystem's.  So far I have lost 55 pounds and feel great.

    I also swim 5 days a week for about an hour to burn up more calories.    I tried lifting weights for a month or so and I noticed that while my belly got smaller, I actually gained weight...   turning fat into muscle isn't bad, but at my age I need to shed the pounds, but still keep some strength.   I don't need to press 300 pounds at 74 years of age.

    So since my peak weight of 355 over the past ten years or so I have lost 115 pounds in two sessions   Since October I've dropped about 55 pounds and lost 11 inches from around my big old fat belly.

    I've tried many different diets and all kinds of fads, but the only thing that works is to burn more calories than you eat...  So far today I have had 890 calories and can say I haven't been hungry all day.

    Trivia:   The lowest calorie order at IHop, is a T-bone steak and a salad.

    why are the US and the UN funding the east? i always thought the USA was a God fearing nation and therefore had no illusions about Babylon. and is this still happening regarding the funding now that Olbama has gone?

    The USA has a large number of God Fearing citizens, however our government has never been a Christian God Fearing nation...    one just has to look at the architecture of Washington DC to understand what is behind our government.

  5. I'm not so sure that Trump should be included in with the rest.....    his differences has stirred up a huge rebellion within the deep state which is what you are speaking of.   I haven't seen him as part of it.....   yet anyway.    And he was enticed to run by several members of the military that was considering having to overthrow the government to stop what Obama and his troops were doing to both the world and the country...

    Going to make the next few years very interesting to live through.

    A lot of the funding we send them is sent back in purchasing weapons.   We are really supporting out military industrial complex....    Some goes to the folks trying to set up a global government to be run by the UN in the long run....    basically our deep state that people talk about has that as a major goal....   and why so many of them are trying to get rid of our President for he does not want a global government but for us to keep our sovereignty here where it should be.

    But very little of our foreign aid goes to the people who really need it.   That's why after a hundred years of ripping wealth out of our nation, the world is still full of poor destitute people.

    Did you think, or do you think,  Britain or the USA is a 'Christian' nation ?

    just pondering Jeff.....    does it have to be?

    But to answer your question about the USA,  our government is not and never was Christian, but the majority of our Citizens were/are.....   So it's hard to tell about now for our input through news is so skewed it's hard to know.

    Hi Marilyn

    I don't know how much I can teach you....but I do know this, that you can teach me a lot.  I class myself a bit like Denardii!

    I can't get onto Worthy at night right now, when I do have some time.  The season for midgies is here.  These microscopic gnat-type things squeeze through the mesh in my security door; they come in somehow, and are attracted to any light that is on.  So I turn the lights off and then there is only the light from any screen.  Taking advantage of this, they jump in my hair and neck and annoy me like a mozzie.

    So, sis, keep on truckin'.  I will listen and comment where I can.  God bless, sister!

    Try spraying your screen with a mosquito repellant that has deet in it.  A friend in New York tells me they really dont like the stuff.

    Hey Marilyn,

    I'm no legal expert, but I read somewhere these 'treaties' and 'agreements' take precedence over the Constitution of the United States of America. In the last decade, many of our U.S. military troops have been assigned to United Nations for combat missions, under foreign commanders and leadership. Some have refused to serve under foreign powers, wear the UN patch and have been court-martialed.

    For years I always thought the antiChrist's massive military would be the establishment of a new European military, and could be. But since I believe we are at the threshold of Daniel's 70th week, it appears that the United Nations might be the instrument of global governance?  I figure it won't be long before there's some sort of global tax to support and build up the U.N. Probably in the form of a global warming emission carbon tax / credit system. Or the guise of getting serious in the fight against ISIS globally. We are living in interesting times.

    Treaties  that are ratified by the Senate become law, but like all laws passed by the senate, they do not take precedence over the constitution.  Agreements are between the Administration and the other party and we are not as a nation bound by them.  When a new president comes along that can be swept away with the stroke of a pen.   But the sitting president that made the agreement has to abide with the constitution and laws concerning the agreement.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Considering that with the Antichrist, if you consider he is the beast out of the bottomless pit (abyss) he is not human and possess knowledge from the angel realm and his army may not be what we think of as an army in this world.  If he can call fire down out of the heavens, he's likely got things we don't know about.
    Just something to ponder.
    I see your point and what I have been pondering is whether or not my attendance would seem an acceptance of gay marriage.
    Would it matter who it was......    the answer might be different if it was your son or daughter or grand kids than it would be for a friend so someone you work with....
    I'm not sure I could answer this question right now.  There are way to many variables that we don't have here.
  11. Angels,   we have a boat and spend time at the lake....   we also travel a lot for the past 7 years since we retired......     I took the trouble of finding this outfit and seeing the entire picture and I can tell you that this outfit is nothing compared to what we see at the beach that is pretty much accepted by the majority of the people that I know.     Kerry came from a small town here in Oklahoma not far from where we live.....   I knew of her and watched her career as she has gotten more involved.......   she is still a serious believer, and I guess it bothers me knowing that and have people judge her by an outfit she wears on the stage for one production  I'll pm you the last thing I saw her do on stage.
