  1. Let me start off by saying that I do believe in God. I was a christian for many years, then I found paganism. It gave me the freedom i yearned, the trouble is it gave me so much freedom with my beliefs that I found myself floundering. I need God. Due to study though i am confused by the whole pagan/christian holidays.Who celebrated it first? I know the Bible has been mistranslated and now i don't know what is of God and what is of man I believe in God but I don't believe in the devil I believe in heaven but don't believe in hell. I believe Jesus died for my sins, but I don't believe it should be forever spoken about to make us feel bad. I believe in a God of love but not one of fear. I feel like I'm being torn in different directions, and don't know where to turn.
  2. So the KJV is definitely the one to go with then.
  3. Oh, it was a truly awesome feeling. Jesus IS alive!
  4. I went to church today and was accepted back into my church family. Two of my old friends prayed for me and i had so many hugs, it was unbelievable There were plenty of people who told me that they never gave up praying for me, even though it was 10+ years since i was there last! The church has grown so much, and the Holy Spirit flowed through the building. Many times i was close to tears.
  5. I'm not sure if i'll be able to get the NASB..though it certainly sounds good. And somebody has offered to send me a KJV..i feel blessed
  6. Thankyou everybody. I have done a bit of searching and it looks like i need a KJV
  7. I live near the beach, though don't visit often. *sigh* I'd love to visit Ireland again, my Dad is from the west coast.
  8. That's very helpful thanks I will have to try and get one i think
  9. Thankyou I read the NIV but have read about the discrepancies in it, and i want something that hasn't been changed too much out of original context. I used to have a KJV, not sure if i still have it or not.
  10. Which is the best version to read? I have read that words and meanings get changed or the context becomes different, so which version is the best to read? At the moment i have an NIV but would another version be better?
  11. Oh wow. thankyou everybody It's funny, i've only post a few times here, and it already feels like home
  12. I joined today without direction. I can feel the love in this place just pouring out, so i just wanted to share that i re dedicated my life to God I'll admit i have no idea where i will be led now, and that i didn't even see that coming lol..but it felt right. For rhe first time in many years i can feel the Holy Spirit and God's love..and i feel at peace. I thank God for leading me here today
  13. I'm here because i'm trying to find the truth.
