    Obama

I think there is alot to be found out about him...
  2. Hmm. Let's see: For one, George W. Bush's faith in Christ wasn't constantly questioned, doubted and smeared by fanatical bigots... Need I say more? Who are these alleged 'fanatical bigots', Lorax? I think it's okay to question Obama's beliefs; after all, he's not running for county dog catcher. The people have a right to know what he, or any candidate, is about before handing over the nuclear codes. Don't you think? The FACTS are out there as to what Hillary stands for... She's a socialist. Do you really want to hand over the nuclear codes to her, knowing her history?...
  3. Hmm. Let's see: For one, George W. Bush's faith wasn't constantly questioned, doubted and smeared by fanatical bigots... Need I say more? People are not bigots for questioning someone's faith. When a person obviously does not adhere to the core beliefs of their own professed religion, then something is clearly wrong with them. George W. Bush may go to church, but he does nothing "Christian". Everything he does is unified "one world religion" approach. He uses the word "God" a lot, but does not apply any real context to that word. A real Christian president would talke about Jesus, and not the amorphous "God" that Mr. Bush mentions. "God" in a vacuum, without the context of judao christian teachings, is just a by-word used to play people for fools. Well, judge, I was going to say the same thing but you wrapped it up. I know Mr. Bush is a Christian but I don't see the mantle on him. Not saying he's a bad man, far from it, but I've never heard him mention the Savior's name. A lot of what is said about Obama is rumor. Rumor to hurt his credibility... I've heard that GW Bush is a member of the Illuminati, but that doesn't make it true...
  4. If she somehow manages to steal her way in, it will be the same as when Bill was president. I'll have to turn her off or kick the tv in. If she's the next President, I have a feeling there will be a lot of TV's kicked in... Who can stand to listen to her voice for four years?...
  5. If he says he is a Christian, that is good enough for me...God will straighten out the details...
  6. hilary stole when she left the white house, it just figures she'll try to steal her way back in...
  7. The real Hillary Clinton stood up at the Democratic presidential debate this week: angry, sarcastic, stubborn, secretive, arrogant, mired in the past, victim of the media, and still firmly convinced that she is uniquely entitled to the Democratic Party nomination and the presidency. That Hillary hasn
  8. Yep. He's black, educated, and actually speaks english well. What more could you ask for? Substance. Yeah, you, me and kat...everybody else loves the winning smile. She's not wrong for endorsing him and neither is Caroline Kennedy and using their names to do it. That is their right, same as it is yours to dismiss it outright...
  9. Great idea! Michael Douglas for President, Katherine Zita Jones as First Lady, Martin Sheen as Secretary of State, Matthew Mcconaughey as Speaker of the House and Micheal J Fox as Presidential advisor...
  10. Clooney can barely decide whether or not to have a steady relationship with a woman in his life. Only recently has he been seen with a lady on his arm. If he can't make a decision about his own personal life, what makes anyone think he would be great presidential material?
  11. As EricH pointed out it is actually a sign of reverence. In Hebrew, God's Name YHVH is ineffable (unpronouncable). Jewish people make no attempt to pronounce His Name. Whenever YHVH appears in the text, they replace it with Adonai or the term "Ha Shem" ("The Name") so that they avoid taking His Name in vain. Taking the Lord's name in vain refers to a vain oath. What was meant was that we were not make a false promise or swear falsely by His Name. I understand what taking the Lord's name in vain means. I've been saved for years and when I read those posts with G-d in them, instead of God, I felt it was wrong and didn't know the meaning behind it as you described. What about unsaved people that come here? Are they supposed to know the origin behind putting the dash in between God's name? Why not make it simple and just use God's name the way most are familar with and how the King James Version and other versions of the Bible have it? An unsaved person could read that and draw a conclusion that the name of God is being disrespected without having any foreknowledge...
  12. I'm seeing in some posts on this board where some people post God with a dash in the middle of His name. Shown as G-d. That is the only word in the posts that has that dash in it. What is the point of putting a dash in God's name? That shows irreverence for God. It shows to me that your taking His name in vain. Why is this done or allowed on here?...
  13. which is why I thank God and my lucky stars everyday that I not only have a beautiful wife, but she's also thrifty. She would never consider spending $200 on a pair of shoes... I can be thrifty. Just not every day. I like to do my part to spur on the American economy. Kind of like a missionary. Won't do you much good contributing to the American economy, if your going to throw $200 or any contribution spent on anything into the kitchen sink. I don't think missionaries do that or even Ms. White...
  14. He really stepped in it this time didn't he? There is justice I hope. His next book will be called "Now I Really Blew It"...
