  1. Well worth sharing Qnts, thanks...expect Pallywood to get into full swing by the end of the week.
  2. Hey Hupo...good to hear from you mate....drop me an email if you get the chance...always interested to hear how things are with you, and how things are at this particular time. I know it may sound harsh at times to want the enemies of Israel destroyed, but there is a time for war and a time for peace, and King David pulled no punches when petitioning G-d about his enemies such as: ◄ Psalm 54 ► New American Standard Bible Prayer for Defense against Enemies. For the choir director; on stringed instruments. A Maskil of David, when the Ziphites came and said to Saul, “Is not David hiding himself among us?” 1Save me, O God, by Your name, And vindicate me by Your power. 2Hear my prayer, O God; Give ear to the words of my mouth. 3For strangers have risen against me And violent men have sought my life; They have not set God before them. Selah. 4Behold, God is my helper; The Lord is the sustainer of my soul. 5He will recompense the evil to my foes; Destroy them in Your faithfulness. 6Willingly I will sacrifice to You; I will give thanks to Your name, O LORD, for it is good. 7For He has delivered me from all trouble, And my eye has looked with satisfaction upon my enemies. Best regards as always. Botz
  3. http://www.progressivestoday.com/app-brings-israels-air-raid-warnings-to-your-iphone/ This is an app that will alert you to every rocket, missile or mortar attack taking place in Israel, and will show which towns are being targetted...it will be a real eye opener. I was in the field with my horse and during an hour the siren sounded 20 times. I like to think of this app as a call to prayer for Jews and Christians that truly support Israel because every time it goes off we can pray that the rocket will find no target and that the IDF and the IAF will be able to target those that launched it. I pray that Hamas and all the enemies of Israel will be totally crushed.

  5. I have met many that claim to be prophets, but cannot recall a single one whom I believed were prophets, most seemed to have a prophetic gifting, but in reality it was pretty hit and miss stuff and some was way out in left field. I don't think there are prophets around like Elijah or Amos or Jonah, and I find it difficult to see the office of Prophet operating with any consistency within the New Covenant writings.
  6. I am not knocking, or trying to discourage sharing the Gospel, I am just trying to make the point that we end up cheering ourselves on rather than actively engaging with visitors to this site...and as good as Scriptures can be, it is sometimes of more benefit to break away from the classic 'evangelical approach'.
  7. Nicely put...unfortunately with the best will in the world it is true that the religion of Islam is by and large a breeding ground for anti-Semitism although there are Moslems that are decent law-abiding citizens and also serve the nation of Israel loyally. My family lived in France near Bordeaux...lovely country and people...but as in the UK, anti-Semitism is on the rise and with Marine Le Pen getting 25% of the votes, I think things will get worse, which is why Jewish immigration from France has increased immensely.
  8. I think for a person who is not a Christian to come here and try and have dialogue will not be easy...Other One had a valid point, where does this thread go from here?...or just what is there in it to attract someone who does not share our faith? IMO if we are going engage meaningfully, we have to get beyond throwing out a jumble of Christian weighted doctrine and covering as much Scripture or Christian truths as we can in a post...to actually choosing one subject and opening it up for anyone to participate, even if it is to criticize or strongly challenge. Too often we speak or write to a formula, where other Believer's might perceive us as theologically correct, and the words we say are true and contain spiritual truth...but the content is just not palatable for the non-Christian, who could care less about dogma and would rather bite off his own arm.
  9. This is the same plan that I believe is the only one possible....forget the two State solution, it sounds good on paper, but its weakness is that the Pals will break any agreement the moment they get the chance, and Israel cannot afford to take that chance....to allow two States and the security of Israel to be compromised cheapens the death of many Israelis who have died for their country. I whole-heartedly agree that it is the Palestinians who are the settlers, they are the ones trying to steal Israeli land and snatch away their inheritance and birth-right. Let them live in Israel as Israeli citizens with equal rights, or as residents, but if they don't want to live peacefully they are free to leave and bless some other nation with what they have to offer.
  10. Jerusalem will remain the undivided capital of Israel. Agreed there is nothing else to discuss.
  11. I expect most of it found its way into secret Swiss bank accounts. Some would be used to buy arms and rockets. Some to give to the families of martyrs. Some to build tunnels. Some to continue educating Arab children to hate Jews. I expect one could make up new lyrics to the 60's song 'where have all the flowers gone?'.
  12. Confronting the Boycott, divestment and sanction group in Brighton UK. Where I live we have formed a group called Sussex Friends of Israel, and have been counter protesting against the BDS and PSC (Palestine solidarity campaign) for over a year as they try to get a local Israeli run shop called Ecostream closed down as the supply factory in Israel (Sodastream) supposedly is built in the 'occupied territories'. We comprise of approx 75% Jewish and 25% Christian, united with a common purpose to oppose this shameful bigotry and provide the general public with an alternative narrative. It is our hope and prayer that Christians that supposedly love and support Israel along with concerned members of the Jewish community, will rise up all over the Western world and begin to actually do something positive, because this is part of the Arab-Israeli conflict that is now on our door-step and that we still have time to do something about it. Having a loud voice and a bit of 'chutzpah' is a bonus.
  13. Hi DB, The context of the passage is not focusing on hate, that is used in a hyperbolic way...it is talking about the cost of discipleship and Jesus is trying to establish in the minds of potential disciples that there is a cost involved in following Him. Indeed further down the passage He expands upon this theme making it evident it has to be an individual choice, and He also alludes to what He has to suffer in order to meet His destiny (eg crucifixion) and how all of us individually will have to take up our own individual crosses and understand that in dying we live. Whenever there is an apparent contradiction in the Bible...you can be certain that either the translation into English could have been better, or that some idiom is used that doesn't really translate. Sometimes in Hebrew especially, the context determines the strength and meaning of the word used...that coupled with the Rabbinic parables that Jesus uses to teach...mean that we often have to do a bit of home-work to arrive at the fuller meatier meaning. This was also true of the disciples, who found some of the things Jesus said rather perplexing...I think they are meant to be somewhat concealed at times, because they mean so much more when we actually get to the heart of their message, and it becomes a personal and subjective discovery guided by the Holy Spirit.
  14. My personal feeling is that these talks will stutter to a stand-still eventually, and that ostensibly the reason given will be on-going conflict (expect the Pals to increase the skirmishes)...but I can't really believe the Pals will agree to ending their demand for 5 million plus refugees to return, and even Hilik Bar and the Labour left have said not one single refugee will set foot on the land....Abbas will be under intense pressure from the Arab League, but also internally from some of the real Arafat hard-liners, and we have seen this sort of scenario many times before...the end result is unlikely to be peace.
  15. Very pertinent article....one that should make all Christians who support Israel wake up and take a stand against what is going on rather than just reading about these things....it is time we actively come against them and develop strategies in our localities as to how best to be a voice that stands with Israel. My fear is that Christians will continue to remain armchair supporters of Israel with a few prayers and donations thrown in...but never get actively involved countering the venom against Israel that can be found in NGO groups in virtually any sizeable town...and in many case here in the UK, even some small villages of 5,000 or less. If anyone needs help in what to look for or how to recognize what is going on and how to get started, please don't hesitate to ask. Regards. Botz.
