  1. Have you tried using prophecy to reach the lost and tell them what God has for them? Prophecy is used for other Christians but shouldnt it be used by us to reach the lost? How about telling people about the ancient Babylonian school of Daniel for dream interpretation instead of Freud? Try praying that God will give a person you know a dream and then help them with its meaning. Pen
  2. Jesus loves the homosexual- hates the homosexuality as it is a sin according to the scriptures. Homosexual activity is as bad a sin as lying, jealousy, not keeeping the sabbath, swearing, sleeping around, murder, rape etc. To God, each sin is the same- it separates us from his presence. Just one of a whole lot of reasons why we need Jesus to help us be salt and light in the world. We all have sin and need Jesus. Is there any more need for discussion?
  3. Hello all I am doing an open university course in psychology and I am struck by the very much humanist standpoint that all the studies and materials are from. Evolution isnt really even discussed just automatically accepted and yet all of the last 100 years or so of research seems to show how different we are to primates and other animals. There is no mention of the other ID/ creationist perspectives. Has anyone seen anything on this Christian view point on the mind that God has made so marvelously? The next portion of study is on conciousness and I am yet to find mention of the "soul" in modern understanding/ research. I started this course to aim to go onto supporting children with problems and had no idea what a "dark" place spiritually the world of psychology seems to be. Any links / info helpful. Thanks Jenni

    Evolution

Evidence for the flood of Noah. True geology points to the Flood of Noah. When we listen to those who support evolution we are led to believe that the rock layers were laid down gradually over millions of years. However, anyone who gets close to the evidence finds that each fossil tells a story of rapid burial, and some of these fossils are found through many layers including for instance polystrate trees. Many of these layers lie conformably upon one another demonstrating that all the layers were buried in a short period of time. Some Darwinists such as Stephen J Gould and the geologist Derek Ager have even recognised this evidence for rapid burial and developed newer evolutionary theories, with evolution allegedly occurring in rapid jumps between catastrophic events. The evidence is that fossils appear suddenly as if buried rapidly and then remain the same through many layers. Gould and Ager comment.

    Evolution

hello all Just to say that I am studying for an MSC in psychology and have come across the sticky subject of evolutionary psychology and I have found some good hard evidence based stuff to support creation theory. The incredible complexity of life Atheistic scientists have been trying to develop a complete naturalistic theory for the origin of life from the big bang, to molecules, to bacteria, to fish and finally to mankind. In order to find evidence for this naturalistic theory, atheistic scientists have been searching high and low for evidence that life can form spontaneously from non-living chemicals. This is termed abiogenesis. They are still searching after 130 years of failure, with huge amounts of time and resources spent looking for evidence; from the bottom of the ocean floor, to the surface of Mars. Bathybius: Thomas Huxley in the nineteenth century thought he had found the protoplasm of life at the bottom of the ocean when he treated a sample of sea floor sediment in alcohol and found a jelly that appeared to move. He named this jelly Bathybius and for seven years it was considered by many scientists to be the protoplasm of life. However, it was later found to be a simple chemical of hydrated calcium sulphate. More recently the very expensive search for life on Mars has turned up evidence for volcanism and not life. The Miller-Urey Experiment: Miller and Urey carried out an experiment in 1953 to see whether it was possible to artificially create life. They passed an electric current through a chemical atmosphere that was free of oxygen. They thought that chemicals such as ammonia and nitrogen were present after the formation of the earth without oxygen. Miller and Urey managed to create some simple amino acids, but simply creating amino acids is not enough to bring about the complex and ordered long chain molecules necessary for life to occur. As Paul Davies has noted, it is the ability to write the genetic code that is what is needed. This is simply impossible with the application of an electric current through a chemical soup. Davies compares this experiment to an attempt to build a house by placing a stick of dynamite under a pile of bricks. Sir Fred Hoyle compared it to a tornado sweeping through a junk- yard creating a 747.
  6. One thing that is NEVER mentioned is that Darwin gave his life to the Lord at the end of his life realising that his theories couldnt work. These clergy should be ashamed of themselves- what exactly are they bothering being christians for if they dont accept any of christian teachings?
  7. BBC 24 ran this story- thought you might be interested:Cartoon protest slogans condemned Many Muslims do not believe the protesters are representative There has been widespread condemnation of a demonstration by Muslim protesters who threatened violence during a march. Shadow home secretary David Davis said some of the messages on the placards amounted to "incitement to murder". The protest on Friday in London over cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad saw slogans such as "7/7 is on its way". The police say they are studying photographs of those who attended and that arrests, if necessary, will be made at the "most appropriate time". Separate protests held on Saturday passed off peacefully. Police said more than 100 complaints had been received about the protests. Among the images which have sparked outcry is one of Muhammad with a bomb-shaped turban on his head. Newspapers in Spain, Italy, Germany and France reprinted the material. 'Disgraceful' Mr Davis told the Sunday Telegraph that protesters should be dealt with firmly by police. It's irrelevant whether it's Muslims causing hatred or anyone else - freedom of speech has to be responsible Asghar Bukhari BBC TV interview "Clearly, some of these placards are incitement to violence, and indeed incitement to murder - an extremely serious offence which the police must deal with and deal with quickly," he said. "Whatever your view on these cartoons, we have a tradition of freedom of speech in this country which has to be protected. "Certainly there can be no tolerance of incitement to murder." On Saturday, Asghar Bukhari, chairman of the Muslim Public Affairs Committee, said the demonstration in London on Friday should have been stopped by police because the group had been advocating violence. He said the protesters "did not represent British Muslims". Mr Bukhari told the BBC News website: "The placards and chants were disgraceful and disgusting, Muslims do not feel that way. The cartoons were deeply offensive to hundreds of millions of Muslims Labour MP David Winnick In quotes: UK protest "I condemn them without reservation, these people are less representative of Muslims than the BNP are of the British people." He said that Muslims were angry over satirical cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad published in European papers but it was "outrageous" for anyone to advocate extreme action or violence. "We believe it [the protest] should have been banned and the march stopped. "It's irrelevant whether it's Muslims causing hatred or anyone else - freedom of speech has to be responsible." Prosecution call Meanwhile, Labour MP David Winnick called for people who waved threatening placards to be prosecuted. Mr Winnick, a member of the House of Commons Home Affairs Committee, said: "The cartoons were deeply offensive to hundreds of millions of Muslims. Protesters waved placards outside London embassies on Friday "But it is totally unacceptable that, on British soil, there should be thugs demonstrating for people to be beheaded and actually glorifying the atrocities of July 7. "It is to be hoped that prosecutions will follow very quickly indeed." He said those responsible who were temporarily in Britain should be deported, even it meant stripping them of permission previously given to remain in the country. The Walsall North MP added that the overwhelming majority of Muslims in Britain "have the same distaste as the rest of us about these thugs". "I hope it will be the last time we ever see such a demonstration, totally unacceptable to the Muslim community," he said. Police estimated Friday's crowd at between 500 and 700 and no arrests were made. On Saturday more protesters, organised by the Hizb ut-Tahrir group, gathered outside the Danish embassy in London. It appeared that the rally was far more restrained than the one on Friday. Police later said two men had been arrested near the embassy during the protest. "They were arrested to prevent a breach of the peace, after a search by officers found leaflets including cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed," a Met spokeswoman said. Many Muslim groups have condemned Friday's protests and the images that were used there Taji Mustafa, Hizb ut-Tahir Q&A: Hizb ut-Tahrir Flanked by a forest of messages such as, "'Freedom' to insult", a speaker at Saturday's rally told the crowd they were demanding an end to "vilification". "If you want to debate and criticise then we are ready and we have been waiting, but we are not going to accept these images," he said. He called on "the governments of the Muslim world to completely sever all contact with European governments" until they had "controlled the media". Taji Mustafa, a spokesman for Hizb ut-Tahir, told BBC's Sunday AM that the posters, images shown by the television programme, had featured in Friday's protests which his group had "nothing to do with". "It had absolutely nothing to do with us, and we condemned those - they are not acceptable," he said. "And many Muslim groups have condemned Friday's protests and the images that were used there. "Our protest yesterday was very peaceful." He said the group advises Muslims "not to stoop to the level of those who want to resort to insults on the Prophet of Islam" and instead to engage in peaceful, responsible protests. And these protests should demand the media outlets who published the cartoons should apologise, retract them and pledge to "never to repeat this offence" in the future, he said. He added that it was an "issue of respect" between people I wonder if Christians had protested in a Muslim country if they would have escaped WITH THIER LIVES? These are misguided, decieved people but we MUST STAND UP TO THESE BULLIES. The report doesnt mention that the people who were waving "freedom of speech" slogans and references to European news agency cartoons WERE arrested and the millitants WERE NOT because "the police were afraid to incite a riot"
  8. I was wondering if anyone remembers being told not to go near anyone saying the end of the world is coming on such and such a time. Doesnt it say no one knows the hour? There are some preachers about who thnk that 2007 is a bible number and therefore things point to the end coming then. Is God that predictable?
  9. An intersting post I think. My 10 year old son has started to ask about how the world ends. I have just said that the world does end and it is ok because God is with us always. Not really enough though because he keeps on asking. Apparently the school have told him that the sun will blow up and that will be it. Hmm what to do?
  10. sue neuclear I hope not! I know that we (our lands) will not be obliterated until the end. Crashes, disasters etc are the birth pains. Prayer meeting next week re earthquake. Will keep posted.
  11. Please notice the strong anti Jewish stance the British media is taking. We call thsi piece of land "occupied" by Jews (when until the Arabs heard the jews were coming shoved their people out to become the palestinians) the Arabs "justified" in murdering, stealing and taking. The fact is the Arabs HATE the Jews. It is an offense to them to have the jews in their bit of the world. In a twist of history I think this might be the best thing to happen to Isreal. Hamas will be so deplorable that world opinion will swing against them so far that the Jews will get given ALL their lands back as it is written. Exciting times my family, exciting times.
  12. how far to take this. Do we get some preparations in place for our community for impending earthquake?
  13. Just a little aside.... It is often said that the church was built on the martredom of the christians in that colleseum. In there today there is a big, but simple wooden cross for the men, women and children who died there. Although I understand Christian mauling to death became un popular becassue the christians werent afraid to die. Isnt it amazing the cross is built on Jewish riches buried beneath the foundations?
