  1. ON this list, the difference between a royal member and a nonbeliever is nothing. Nobody can explain the parables here.
  2. God has a triune nature of Divine Love, Divine Truth and the Divine works. This is the Holy Trinity. In a good human being, this becomes charity, faith and good works. Now if a good person has charity, faith and good works, this doesn't mean they have three bodies. I have been accused of being a oneness and anti-trinity person simply because many Christians refuse to deal with parables and want to think of Father, Son and Holy Spirit as a natural Father, a natural Son (like humans) and a Ghost (like when humans see spirits).
  3. "Acts 7:55 But being full of the Holy Spirit, looking up intently into Heaven, he saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. 56 And he said, Behold, I see Heaven opened and the SON OF MAN standing on the right hand of God. Seems clear here that there is a Trinity" Of course their is a trinity but not necessarily of Divine persons. God is not like people as you have just proved. Did you notice that Jesus is not only the Son of God but the Son of Man? That is because Jesus is the truth or the Word of God become flesh. The word Son does not mean a son like with people. If you want to dismiss parables (God's very own language, then read this verse as a son of man - it is impossible - you must see now that Son means Truth or the Word).
  4. The mormons always use that verse to justify more than one God. The fact of the matter is that Jesus Christ derives His power and authority from the Love of God. That is because the right signifies Love and Power, and the Father signifies Divine Love. Jesus Christ does in fact say that there is the Trinity and that there is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Only the Nicean council said that God is like people with three bodies. This is an error that persists in the Church because protestant doctrine copied Catholic doctrine. God is not like people, and if he were, only one mind would be in one body supporting the fact that Jesus Christ is with the Father and send forth the Holy Spirit just like a person's soul, body and what the person does is a triune that is not thought of as split into more than one.
  5. You feel pressured to say One God because the Bible repeatedly says One. Yet in your mind you say three. God is like three people with three bodies but of the same mind. Something that reason would dismiss. Never will you see evidence that three people can think and act the same in each and every thing all through eternity. So first off, you think that God is like people (not a good assumption). Second, you think God can be of one mind and have multiple bodies (two of which he never seems to show anyone). This is also a bad assumption. So, not being willing to interpret the meaning of Father, Son and Holy Spirit you jump to a belief in more than one God. However, Christ never ever said more than one Divine Person. Saying "Divine Persons" was just an attempt to hold the Catholic Church together late in their history. An attempt that was written and re-written into official church writings. So you can keep on looking at "official" church writings but remember the church, made of people, can make errors yet Jesus Christ does not. Jesus Christ said that His name saves and He alone has the keys to hell and death. Jesus Christ, after his ascending to the Father, is indeed God with the Father, Son and Holy Spirit within Him and coming from Him. Only Jesus says he will send the Holy Spirit. Only Jesus says the Father is with Him. Your understanding seems to want to dismiss Jesus's words that He alone is the redeemer. The one and only visible God in a Divine Human form.
  6. Again, you can only see the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in Jesus Christ. This is why Philip was denied seeing the Father. This trinity is not a trinity of persons, it is not a trinity of three personalities, and it is not one mind in more than one body. God glorified a human form and you heard accounts of this human form walking this earth. Orthodoxy teaches "Three Divine Persons from Eterntiy." Think of that. Errors about the trinity are serious errors in the church. Think of those tortureed, killed and martyred because they did not seem to follow the Catholic Church. The same Church that struck these erroneous words to paper "Three Divine Persons from Eternity." Forget about the fact that God said He was the only God from Eternity and will always only be one. Good luck saying one and secretly thinking three if that is what you are doing. God knows your thoughts.
  7. St. Worm I can tell you this that you have rejected the encapsulation of the law or the commandments of the Lord. Your doctrine is called false doctrine and you are teaching falsely. Your doctrine posted in other discussions is why Christians are seen as polytheists preaching one God and thinking three individual Gods. God is one in purpose, in mind and in body. He expects you to follow the ten commandments and to teach others to do the same thing. You have failed in your mission and gone astray.
  8. Your belief is on the same level as Philip. Someone that Christ responded to by not showing Philip the Father. That is because what is the Father does not have a body like what is the Son. Also, what is the Holy Spirit does not have a body like the Son had. Therefore, God only has one body and one mind. How can you say that there are three Divine Persons and not imply three bodies and three visible Gods. But this is what your "orthodoxy" teaches. Yet there is only one mind and one body to God. If monotheism is not "orthodox" Christianity so be it. What is that to me who worships the Lord Jesus Christ. I should not worry of tens of thousands arrayed against me (like David) knowing the one and only God in the Lord Jesus Christ who was and will be the only God.
  9. It is no secret that churches that teach faith seperate from charity dismiss the ten commandments and also churches that teach predestination dismiss the ten commandments. You have not heard the Words of Christ or God if you think you can not practice following the ten commandments. Every society on the earth also depends on these commandments to keep peace and civil law. Without the practice of following the ten commandments, there is no church worshipping God but only an appearance of a church that is empty inside. Your comments smack of predestination and the "uselessness" of cooperating with God and doing what he says.
  10. St. Worm, the trinity is extremely important that is why I have again posted yet another trinity debate. This has been debated to no conclusion on this web because sanity rests with monotheism not polytheism. I do not like people who post that Christianity is polytheism but that is what "orthodoxy" teaches. "Orthodox" Christianity is teaching three divine persons from eternity. A quote that is not in the Bible.
  11. If you are not against the Lord then you are with him. Jesus told his disciples to pray to be delivered from temptation. Why? Because nobody in themselves has the power to deliver themselves from these temptations. Only the Lord can forgive sins and educate. Only the Lord can lead you away from sin and away from constantly breaking the commandments. No one should teach dismissal of the commandments - it is extremely disturbing and a dangerous false teaching. David meditated on God's law day and night. This law is primarily the tem commandments and the greatest commandments to love God and the neighbor.
  12. You should be very interested to know that Swedenborg said the same thing as your quote below: "The Council of Nicea did not invent the doctrine of the Trinity. They merely developed a profession of existing beliefs in response to Arianism." However, in their reaction to Arianism, they declared Three Divine Persons from Eternity. This is a persistent error in the Christian Church. You have not dealt with the Jewish prophets who declare One God. It is not so hard to believe (even when reading the Bible where the Holy Supper involves two things) that God only has one purpose, one mind and one body. This world has seen that body and it was glorified and taken up to heaven.
  13. Try Romans 13:8-9: "Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, THOU SHALT NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, THOU SHALT NOT KILL, THOU SHALT NOT STEAL, THOU SHALT NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS, THOU SHALT NOT COVET; and if there by any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF." Paul quotes directly from Christ when he talks to the rich man about the commandments - the primary source here is Christ if you want to see that but maybe you don't want to see these things.
  14. The apostle Paul reiterated that you must follow the ten commandments as did Jesus Christ reiterate following the ten commandments. Paul in no way says that you are excused from following the ten commandments - quite the contrary.
  15. St. Worm writes "Good luck. Seriously, this does not sound like good news at all. If I must follow the commandments to please God then that sounds like real bad news for me. I surely hope that you are not serious. Have you heard of the idea that the Law shows us our sin and points us to Christ?" St. Worm - have you ever heard that if you make a practice of sinning and not following the commandments you go to hell? Jesus Christ talks of Hell as well as Heaven and it is said that Jesus has the keys to hell and death. Jesus said "you know the commandments" but he was talking to someone else besides St. Worm
