  1. Well, there's always chocolate, ice cream, or both... But all boredom aside, here's something you might enjoy... Just lie down where you're comfortable and pray in the Word and Spirit about all your hopes and dreams of family love and motherhood. While you are quietly listening and meditating on whatever God's Spirit brings to focus in your heart and mind, rub your tummy, maybe hum or sing as you are moved to, as you pay special attention to what your child feels like inside your womb. While you think about the journey you have travelled on so far, one full of wonder, walked in faith, hope, and love in anticipation of soon seeing your child FACE to FACE, may you be deeply impressed by the sheer beauty in the mystery of what your physical eyes had not yet beheld and the wisdom and understanding behind God's design of creation. Gen 2:23 The man said, "This is now bone of my bones, And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man." Gen 2:24 For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh. God Bless
  2. Barred Spiral Galaxy NGC 1672 A Dark Sky Over Death Valley...And I mean WOW!!! Look at all those stars!!! I forget what the sky can look like on a clear night far from all the city lights, sometimes. Amazing...
  3. Maybe it will remind the family members that sharks get excited when there is blood in the water...
  4. Lord have mercy is right! Can you imagine how high the assault and possibly the murder rate would go if this happened? Total transparency of thoughts...Everytime I think of it, I can find some amusing scenario to run through my mind. Some women might start dressing a little differently...more modestly. Affairs and double lives would have to cease. No more conspiracies. No more lies. Hey, it might not be so bad...After the BLOODY REVOLUTION is over...
  5. It would be a riot if we could read eachother's thoughts...Lord have mercy!!! And then, after awhile, some of us will just learn to have selective thought reading. LOL! Selective hearing is a husbands and parents survival instincts kicking in. Oh no!
  6. Maybe we can stop offering a penny for your thoughts and keep our two cents...but seriously, that's interesting.
  7. Dear Emily Anne, How beautiful! Sometimes we need to lose our minds a little. Hurting people often times hurt other people and do not know what the love of God is. When I was growing up, I suffered various abuses and neglect at the hands of others. Often times from the very people who were supposed to protect, care for and love me but they either could or would not. After all this time, I just found out this year in a conversation I had with my brother that we almost wound up being put in foster care until our grandparents decided to step in. Because I did not know God, I would internalize the pain in my heart and mind and let it fester and it would manifest itself in shameful ways. I was given over to increasing anger, bitterness, and hatefulness, and sin flowed out of my heart like a river. I have seen enough of the dark side of the human heart. But God, in all His wisdom lets the sun shine on the righteous and the wicked and brought me face to face not only with the sin in them, but also with the sin in me. I saw the glory in Christ with the sinners on either side of Him as He gave His life a ransom for the sins of the world on the cross. I needed to believe and recieve the power of His forgiveness more than anything else in the world. God shows us His love in His Son and His Spirit teaches us to love like Him. That's why I love what you are sharing in this testimony soo very much. In order for us to heal and get to a place where we can manifest and grow in His love, He will often give us those kinds of insights and understandings like the one that you had, so through the power of His forgiveness we can likewise have compassion on those who hurt us, and love in the Agape way, that our joy and peace be made more full. God, in all His wisdom, does indeed choose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. God actually brought me to a place where He enabled me to minister to some of the needs of the very people who hurt me the most. When I think about the way certain things happened it makes me laugh, in particular because it was a blessing in disguise, since it appeared to me like a curse for such a long time. Reminds me of these verses that really spoke to my heart during that time... Mat 7:7 "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Mat 7:8 "For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Mat 7:9 "Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? Mat 7:10 "Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? Mat 7:11 "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him! At first, all I saw was a stone and a snake but He turned them into loaves and fishes. Praise God for His goodness! Thank you for sharing what God has placed on your heart
  8. Yep. He's black, educated, and actually speaks english well. What more could you ask for? Substance. It is the substance of what I have heard about some of his views that cause me concern.
  9. Haha...Whenever I get a new ache and pain, white hair, or some other form of aging, I tend to forget how young I am and moan about how I am getting older. I sometimes have dreams whereby I recieved certain insights and understandings, although it can take awhile for them to fully dawn on me. One that had kept reoccuring to me a while back was where I would be floating up and away and sometimes I felt scared because I could not always get back down to earth easily, as my sense of balance and gravity would shift around and it would take me time to adjust and figure it out. I could always eventually make my way back, although I felt so light and free as I was floating away, yet I was relieved once I could figure it out so I could make my way back to the earth. Once during a time when I was in much prayer and seeking the Lord's face, there were a sequence of nights where my eyes popped open as I was woken up out of a dead sleep and my eyes would lock on the digital time display on the clock next to my bed at exactly 3:33. At the time, I never experienced anything quite like this and I was very cautious about sharing with anyone about this experience, as it perplexed me at that time and I didn't know what to make of it. One of the things I came to realize through it was that God is Triune, and at that time I had been previously blinded to that understanding because of a teaching I was indoctrinated in as a JW. There were other realizations that I came to through it, too. It was a very personal and spiritually awakening experience. Because of how powerful it was, I pondered it much and still ponder over it in my heart. At first, I thought maybe I was going bananas, and in a way, I was. I was broken, but I was blessed in that. I consider this experience a spiritual awakening and vision. Like I said earlier, though, it can take some time and effort to make sense of these experiences. One thing that really helped was to keep faithfully checking God's Word for the insights and understandings to become more clear and confirmed for me in my heart.
  10. We have a 1611 KJV and it has the apocrypha books in it, too.
  11. Your laughter is contagious... I have had a belly aching laughter over your reaction to this story... Thank You!!! I needed that!
  12. My favorite bible study resource is e-sword. You can look into and compare various translations like the ALT, ASV, ESV, KJV, NASB, etc., along with the Hebrew and Greek with concordance references, and look at certain commentaries. Any resource that enables you to do that makes for a wonderful bible study resource. We have multiple translations of the bible in our home also, but the one I tend to use the most is the NASB Ryrie Study Bible. The NIV is especially controversial because of the use of paraphrases. I don't use it often, but we have the bible on cd's that are from an NIV translation. We bought that before we knew much of anything about the translation controversies.
