  1. JUST LIKE JESUS A few years ago a group of salesmen went to a regional sales convention in Chicago. They had assured their wives that they would be home in plenty of time for Friday night's dinner. In their rush, with tickets and briefcases in hand, one of these salesmen inadvertently kicked over a table which held a display of apples. Apples flew everywhere. Without stopping or looking back, they all managed to reach the plane in time for their nearly missed boarding. All but one. He paused, took a deep breath, got in touch with his feelings, and experienced a twinge of compassion for the girl whose apple stand had been overturned. He told his buddies to go on without him, waved goodbye, told one of them to call his wife when they arrived at their home destination and explain his taking a later flight. Then he returned to the terminal where the apples were all over the terminal floor. He was glad he did. The 16 year old girl was totally blind! She was softly crying, tears running down her cheeks in frustration, and at the same time helplessly groping for her spilled produce as the crowd swirled about her, no one stopping and no one to care for her plight. The salesman knelt on the floor with her, gathered up the applies, put them back on the table and helped organize her display. As he did this, he noticed that many of them had become battered and bruised; these he set aside in another basket. When he had finished, he pulled out his wallet and said to the girl, "Here, please take this $40 for the damage we did. Are you okay?" She nodded through her tears. He continued on with, "I hope we didn't spoil your day too badly." As the salesman started to walk away, the bewildered blind girl called out to him, "Mister....." He paused and turned to look back into those blind eyes. She continued, "Are you Jesus?" He stopped in mid-stride, and he wondered. Then slowly he made his way to catch the later flight with that question burning and bouncing about in his soul: "Are you Jesus?" Do people mistake you for Jesus? That's our destiny, is it not? To be so much like Jesus that people cannot tell the difference as we live and interact with a world (shopping, working, reacting to others that are serving us) that is blind to His love, life and grace. If we claim to know Him, we should live, walk and act as He would. Knowing Him is more than simply quoting Scripture and going to church. It's actually living the Word as life unfolds day to day. You are the apple of His eye even though we, too, have been bruised by a fall. He stopped what He was doing and picked you and me up on a hill called Calvary and paid in full for our damaged fruit. Let us live like we are worth the price He paid. "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11 Love In Christ, ChainOfGrace

  3. Why God Made Big Women Dear God" I began, with my face hung down He answered back "Why the frown?" "Why, may I ask did you make me this way?" "What way is that? What are you trying to say" "My body, Dear Lord, My face, it's too square" They are the wrong color, My eyes and my hair. My hips are too wide, My belly too round. When I look at my feet, I can't see the ground. My thighs are so thick, My feet, they stick out. My fingers my toes they are as big as a trout. My eyes are too close, they're in the wrong place . I'm loud sometimes, and bossy to boot, Sometimes I wish I was just born a mute. The Lord, he just chuckled, as if it was funny, "Dear Child, you will learn, thats more than plenty." You're hair and your eyes, those things don't matter. It's the size of your heart, and not if you get fatter. You have the gifts that I've given to you. To cheer up your friends when they're feeling blue. You make people laugh and forget all their sorrows. Those are the things that make more tomorrows. Your children and family, I put in your care. Those are the reasons I put you there. You're smart and you're witty, people love you. Why can't you seem to love yourself too? I thought a minute not sure what to say, Then into my mind popped events of the day. "They laugh at me, you know, people who see me" they think it's funny, but it hurts, cant they see? I've tried everything, to be as they say small and thin, in a petitie way. The Lord looked at me, with a curious grin. He said with a smirk "Who said thin was in?" I made you perfect the way that you are. Those magazines and models, they take it too far. I made you bigger, because that's who you are. There's nothing small about you my child. You are too grande to fit those things they call in. To say you are grande is still putting it mild. You have a big heart, so full of love. You have deep emotions, no one can deny. You do things largely, everything with pride, your thoughts, your ideas, even the tears you cry. I made you big. That is a fact. I made you like me. Don't forget that. You are too special to define and even harder to confine. ~ Author Unknown Jesus loves us just the way we are Love In Christ, ChainOfGrace

  5. When God assigns a task, one that He needs done, Don't question why he chose you, to be the special one, Ours is not to reason why, or fret about His plan, Or hesitate to air our doubts, or ponder if we can, He know your limitations, He knows your talents too, The chores He has are many, the willing workers few, He needs your hands and feet, to demonstate His caring, He needs your voice to witness, to the kingdom He's preparing, So answer when God calls you, supply a ready ear, He won't ask the impossible, put aside your fear, The only thingyou really need, to honor God's reguest, Is the will to serve Him fully, and a pledge to do you very best...... May God continue to Bless ya'll as you serve Him..... Love In Christ,,,,,,,ChainOfGrace
  6. On life's busy throughfare We meet with angels unaware, But we are too busy to see or hear, Too busy to sense God is near, To busy to stop and recognize, The grief that lies in another's eyes, To busy to offer to help or share, To busy to sympathize or care, Too busy to do the good things we should, Telling others we would if we could, But life is too swift and the peace is too great, And we dare not pause for we might be late, For our next appointment which means so much, We are willing to brush off the Saviour's touch, And we tell ourselves there will come a day, We will have more time to pause on our way, But before we know it life's sun has set, And wev'e passed the Saviour but never met, For hurrying along life's throughfare, We passed Him by and remained unaware, That within the sight of our eye, Unnoticed, the son of God passed by.... May God Bless you and always be first in your life...... ChainOf Grace

  9. Sometimes we wonder, "What did I do to deserve this?" or "Why did God have to do this to me?" Here is a wonderful explanation! A daughter is telling her Mother how everything is going wrong, she's failing algebra, her boyfriend broke up with her and her best friend is moving away. Meanwhile, her Mother is baking a cake and asks her daughter if she would like a snack, and the daughter says, "Absolutely Mom, I love your cake" "Here, have some cooking oil," her Mother offers. "Yuck" says her daughter. "How about a couple raw eggs?" "Gross, Mom!" "Would you like some flour then? Or maybe baking soda?" "Mom, those are all yucky!" To which the mother replies: "Yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves. But when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake! God works the same way. Many times we wonder why He would let us go through such bad and difficult times. But God knows that when He puts these things all in His order, they always work for good! We just have to trust Him and, eventually, they will all make something wonderful! God is crazy about you. He sends you flowers every spring and a sunrise every morning. Whenever you want to talk, He'll listen. He can live anywhere in the universe, and He chose your heart. May God continue to Bless you daily ChainOfGrace
  10. it's self evident. spirit-ually found wanting. The true "church".....is far and few/as members go.......and is not found in buildings made with hands. So sad when ya have to leave Jesus at home to go to church:( and many Churches are more worried about man than the real purpose of being there and that is to Worship the Lord and Glorify His Holy name!!!!!!!
  11. It's amazing and incrediable, But it's true as it can be, God loves and understands us all, And that means you and me, His grace is all sufficient, For both the young and old, For the lonely and the timid, For the brash and for the bold, His loves knows no exceptions, So never feel excluded, No matter who or what you are, Your name has been included And no matter what your past has been Trust God to understand, And no matter what the problem is , Just place it in His hand, For in all our unlovliness, This great God loves us still, He loved us since the world began, And what's more, He always will..... May God"s Love continue to Bless you all!!!! ChainOfGrace
  12. Healing Power Of The Lord Jesus Christ On Sept 10 2001 I was frying fish at Ernie's house and was just about to put the last piece in grease at 500% temp when the kettle dumped and burned my arms and legs and foot, all i can remember is calling out a blood curdling scream helppppppppppppp!!!!!!! and Ernie came running and i couldnt get up cause the floor was saturated with grease from the pot. I remember we had a new bag of ice and grabbed it from the freezer as we flew out the door to headed for the hospital. He managed to get me to the van and we rushed the hospital. Erie had been drinking I never saw a man sober up as fast as he did that moment as he flew me to the hospital which was quite a ways to get there. As we were going I was peeling layers of skin off my leg as the grease burned deeper and deeper and I was in excruciating pain and my arm was on fire, a voice told me to open up Ernie's thermos jug and I put my arm in it and lo and behold it was full of ice water five days and still ice in it ,talk about Jesus being with me all I could say is Jesus be with me as we kept driving it seemed like it was forever to get there. Finally we arrived and they got me right in the emergency room and started treatment right away. I remember all the pain I went through and then the ambulance ride to Springfield burn center was no joy either. We had a flat tire and had to tranfer and I was so sick from ride when we arrived to the center I was a mess. But the Lord was so good to be with me all the way and be the one to take my pain because I could take no pain meds as they made me very sick to my stomach. Then the fun began as they emerged me into a big tank oooooooo boy was that fun. I remember praying Lord please take this pain for me because I know i can't handle it and ya know He did. I felt myself drawing closer to the Lord at this time and it was a great feeling. Each day Iwas in this burn center i would ask my doctor do you belive in the Healing power of the Lord Jesus Christ, He would say no why should I ? And I thought to myself hmmmm,,, lots of reasons but didn't push it and just kept praying to the Lord for strength and healing and pain relief as well. Well another day went by and back in that tank ewwwwwww!!!!!! but ya know it got better each time cause Jesus was with me and He took my pain. Well the doctor didnt like the way the upper part of my arm looked and mentioned to me about possibly having to do skin grafting and I said ,,,, oh that wont happen. He said how could I be sure? And I said because I believe in the Healing power of the Lord Jesus Christ. He just shrugged his shoulders and went on and said we will see. Well the next day he looked at the upper arm and decided to release me and said he wanted to wait it out. And they sent me home hmmmmmm,,,,, imagine that:) Well I went home and the healing process began and I have to say if it wasnt for the love and nurturing care of my wonderful mother as she bathed and dressed my burns everyday and took such wonderful care of me and the Love of Jesus she showed me I would have never made it. God truly blessed me with her and I thank Him daily for her. And my boss was wonderful to pay me the whole time I was off which was a blessing as well. And several folks from the church brought meals to me which was also a blessing. God was really with me through the whole thing. As time went on I was getting better but still had a ways to go to be able to return to work. And each day I prayed Jesus heal me from these burns Lord I know you are the Almighty physcian and Healer and I know you can Heal me and each day I would draw closer to the Lord and was getting to know Him as my personal Savior and learing to lean more and more on Him. And then it happened. The Song" He Touched Me "has a whole new meaning to me now because Sept 21 2001 As I was sitting in my living room looking at at my favorite picture of Jesus my mom gave me and I was praying to Him.All of a sudden I felt my arm heat up and I felt chills but warm on my arm and felt a presence in the room and my arm started to become nomal then my leg did and I knew it was Jesus healing me . I could feel Him.I remember talking to Him while He was Healing me. And asking Him,,,, Do you still feel the nails Jesus?????? And it was then i made the decision to never leave Him ever again. Jesus touched me and Healed me and my burns were taken away and I have not one scar to show. He laid His hands on me and spoke to me in the most loving voice and said my child because you believe and have the faith you are healed. and that day I found Jesus Christ as my personal Savior and have lived my life for Him every day since. Oh the love He has for us is beyond what we can comprehend and all we have to do is accept Him and live our life for Him. The Love I have for Him is never ending. Jesus truly is my everything!!!!!!!! He is my purpose to be here:)
  13. With the Lord as your Shepherd, you have all that you need, For if you follow in His footsteps, wherever He may lead, He will guard and guide and keep you, in His loving watchful care, And when traveling in "dark valley's", your Shepherd will be there, His goodness is unfailing, His kindness knows no end, For the Lord is a Good Shepherd, on whom you can depend, So when your hear is troubled, you'll find quiet, peace, and calm, If you open up your Bible, and just read this treasured Psalm..... God Bless You!!!!! ChainOfGrace:a
