  1. Porn is a hardcore addiction, and somthing scary to get into, once someone bits the hook, only by the Lord you can stop. The best thign to do, is keep God number one at all times, pray for him, with him. Keep strong in the Lord, and start studying it, if you nag him and nag him, it creates a rebelion, but if you keep grounded in the Lord, He's going to have victory over this. It's somthign I have struggled with, My girlfriend is patient, and she's someone I can go to when I'm struggling with it, instead of falling in temptation. It's about the Lord and his Glory, he will prevail and have victory, pray about it, and pray for him, with him, and start getting into bible studys with him.
  2. Amen, that is pretty awesome, praise the Lord for our assurance of Hope.
  3. Sin is condemed to the flesh, even sin yoru not aware of, or have no control of. One thing thats impotant to realize is that we all fall short of the Glory of God, and we all sin, in my personal walk with the Lord, I have noticed He's always convicted me at a rate I can handle, Like when I was saved I struggled with drugs and sex, well The lord convicted me about drugs and after, sex, before cussing or movies I was watching. We are all sinners, and we all fall short of the Glory of God. To willingly sin separates you more than unrealizing your sinning. The best advice I can give you, change what you can. The more you grow with the Lord, and learn about his ways, the more you sumbit to him, and not submit to the desires of the flesh. Hang in there, and what sins you can't control, remember Christs blood set you free, not the law, but his grace.
  4. This was an interesting read, and everythign you've mentioned is very important to realize when reading the bible, one main thing I've learned is to pray about it, pray for understanding, and wisdom, and keep yourself from pride in yoru own opinion. You did an awesome job on writing this, I was glad to read it,.
  5. I can't use PM remember. I will explain the issue myself. Before you can use such a probability argument as that tried in this thread, you need to show that Jesus actually did fulfill prophecies. To show that Jesus actually did fulfill prophecies: Firstly, you need to be able to prove that there was a prophecy to be fulfilled. Secondly, you need to be able to prove that Jesus fulfilled it. With that in mind, lets look at a couple of examples of Bible prophecy: Example 1 Where is this supposed prophecy found in the Old Testament? This isn't even a prophecy! And it certainly isn't talking about Jesus -- the "son" in question is Israel. It looks as if Matthew is taking the Old Testament out of context to create "prophecy". Now what a Christian may want to say is that the scripture is a "type" for Jesus. But Christians don't have any evidence for that, so they don't have any independent evidence that a prophecy ever existed. Was there a fulfillment event? Did the family of Jesus go and stay in Egypt and later come back? We have no independent evidence of this, and the Bible story looks very suspect because the birth narratives appear to be inconsistent with each other. So there is no independent evidence that a prophecy ever existed in the first place, and no independent evidence that it was ever fulfilled. Example 2 So where is this supposed prophecy found in the Old Testament? This was about a sign for Ahaz. How could Jesus possibly be a sign for Ahaz? And that it even talks of a virgin birth is disputed. Notice that the RSV translates in Isaiah 7:14 that a "young woman shall conceive". But even if it did say virgin that wouldn't help the Christian. It can't possibly be a prophecy about Jesus. How could the statement in Isaiah 7:16, "For before the child knows how to refuse the evil and choose the good, the land before whose two kings you are in dread will be deserted" be about Jesus? It is so blatantly nothing to do with Jesus that Christians have to talk of "dual prophecy". But they don't have proof of that; that the text ever contained such meaning. So they don't have independent evidence that a prophecy ever existed. Do they have independent evidence of the virgin birth? No of course they don't. (Although perhaps it gets mentioned in apocrypha? But that isn't much help of course.) So there is no independent evidence that a prophecy ever existed and no independent evidence that it was ever fulfilled. Try Isaiah 53, which was fulfilled in all 4 gosples. The crusifiction of Christ, written 700 years before he came. and well, even the koran states about the virgin birth. Whats funny, is even the history channel states there is evidence to suport that, even the ones that are trying to prove Jesus wrong.
  6. Sad, I feel God can use any type of music, cause I've seen that he has.
  7. I agree with the lyrics glorifying to God, lol haha nice opinion on the ear plugs, Honestly I think he might enjoy it, But we are so limited on the knowledge of Gods choice of music.
  8. I have heard the argument that certain sounds (tonality, pitch, etc.) have a physical and mental effect on a person. A few pastor's I know have "preached" on the subject stating that music (regardless of the lyrical content) is only as good as the style in which it is played. I personally have a hard time with this approach. For me, personally, I am of the opinion that if the lyrics and the delivery give glory and honor to God - then SHOUT IT, SCREAM IT, AND YELL IT form the roof tops if you have to! I've heard that arguement as well, but honestly, I feel it depends on the person, cause the tones come from a person, so a person who is that mentaly toned, can me reached by that tone in music, we are drawn to the music that defines how we feel.
  9. I have heard and seen many negative and postitive views on Christian Music in the catagorys of Punk ROck, Hardcore, Death Metal, even Rock. I have heard that God cant be "glorified with screaming music" Now, My question to you. How do you view it? Is God pleased with these styles of music? One of my Favorate bands, Officer Negative, out of most bands, they stayed true to what they stood for, unity in Christ, and spreading the Love of the Lord. They where hardcore Punk rock, fast pased but they're message has always been awesome and glorifying to God. They played with alot of Punk bands with an ANTI Christian image, and got the whole crowd who didnt know Christ to sing "United In Christ as one we stand". I found that quite powerful. My opinion it's the heart of the music that makes the music what it is, if the person playing the music truly Loves the Lord and has a heart of worship, then what ever style that music is, is glorifying to the Lord.
  10. Thats messed up. Thanks for posting this, I wish more would stand up against it, cause it's just getting crazy, if someone says anything against it they are eather a gay basher or a homophobic politicaly, which is exactly the oposite of what it really is. It's common morality. A homophobic wouldnt speak against it, and a gay basher, well thats sad that they make it like a race issue. Pray for our country, thats all I gotta say.
  11. Yes, Honestly I feel Christians suffer more, and are going to suffer, but I would rather suffer and overcome a mountain in the Lord, than stumble over a little hill. As far as the rapture, I do believe in it, and I do know we are going to go through some crazy tribulations. We will suffer, as far as the rapture, yes there will be saints to come out of the tribulation period, it could mean that they came to Christ after the rapture, and where slain, as I feel it is, or it could mean that we are going to go through some crazy things in the tribulation, Heres 2 verses I found that makes me believe in a more pre or mid tribulation rapture. Mat 24:22 And unless those days should be shortened, no flesh would be saved. But for the elect's sake, those days shall be shortened. Mar 13:20 And unless the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh would be saved. But for the elect's sake, whom He has chosen, He has shortened the days. refering to the great tribulation ahead, This I do feel is why, The Lord is Going to pour out his wrath on the earth, for the elects sake, whom he has chosen, he has shortened the days of suffering. We will suffer, but I dont feel we are going to go through the bowls of Gods wrath, and the Woes.
  12. I believe that it is the rapture, all though the word rapture isnt in the bible, it means to be "taken up" and by that verse, it sounds like the rapture, no one knows the day or the hour, but it does clearly state what the raptures going to be like.
  13. I feel the same way. it is very important to pray about it, and pray for discernment. Cause there are alot of wolves, and where are they attacking? Where God is moving the most. I believe in revelation and I strongly believe in prophecy, but I also believe in comfermation. If the Lord doesnt conferm it in my heart, then why would I believe? I have been in many pointless debates, which I am trying to humble myself cause I realized I was way prideful in my own opinion. As far as the Body of Christ, there is alot of separation, and I feel it should be about love, and always stand on Love. With Churches asking constantly for money, when it should be from the heart, not forced. I've seen many things in the body of Christ that I disagree with. State your opinion, and pray for them, pray about it if you feel it's wrong.
  14. Now if thats the odds of 8 prophecys, whats the odds of one man fufiling all these prophecies? I have heard from a few different sources there was actualy 365 prophecies Christ fufilled. But heres a list of 68 fulfilled. 1.His pre-existence Mic 5:2 John 1:1; John 1:14 2.God would provide Himself a Lamb as an offering Genesis 22:8 John 1:29 3.The sacrificial lamb Isaiah 53:5 John 1:29 4.Heir to the throne of David Isaiah 9:6-7 Matthew 1:1 5.From the tribe of Judah Genesis 49:10 Matthew 1:1 6.Of the seed of Abraham Genesis 12:3 Matthew 1:1-16 7.Born of the seed of a woman Genesis 3:15 Matthew 1:18 8.Born of a virgin Isaiah 7:14 Matthew 1:18 9.His name called Immanuel, "God with us" Isaiah 7:14 Matthew 1:23 10.Called "The mighty God, The everlasting Father" Isaiah 9:6 Matthew 1:23 11.Born in Bethlehem Mic 5:2 Matthew 2:1 12.Presented with gifts Psalm 72:10 Matthew 2:1; Matthew 2:11 13.Slaughter of the children Jeremiah 31:15 Matthew 2:18 14.Called out of Egypt Template:Hosea Matthew 2:15 15.Would be a Nazarene Judges 13:5; Amos 2:11; Lam 4:7 Matthew 2:23 16.Would be a Prophet of the children of Israel Deuteronomy 18:15 Matthew 2:15 17.Priest after the order of Melchizedek Psalm 110:4 Hebrews 5:5-6; Heb 6:30; Hebrews 7:15-17 18.Preceded by a messenger to prepare his way Malachi 3:1 Matthew 11:7-11 19.His messenger before Him in spirit of Elijah Malachi 4:5-6 Luke 1:17 20.Messenger crying "Prepare ye the way of the Lord" Isaiah 40:3 Matthew 3:3 21.Declared to be the Son of God Psalm 2:7 Matthew 3:17 22.All nations blessed by Abraham's seed Genesis 12:3 Matthew 8:5; Matthew 8:10 23.No bones broken Numbers 9:12; Psalm 34:2 John 19:33-36 24.Gentiles flock to Him 2 Samuel 22:44-45; Psalms 2:7-8; Isaiah 55:5; Isaiah 60:3; Isaiah 65:1; Malachi 1:11 Matthew 8:10 25.LORD said unto Him, "Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool" Psalm 110:1 Matthew 22:44; Mark 12:36; Mark 16:19 26.Soldiers gambled for his garment Psalm 22:18 Matthew 27:35 27.People sat there looking at Him Psalm 22:17 Matthew 27:36 28.Hated without a cause Psalm 35:19 Matthew 27:23; 29.He is the stone which the builders rejected which became the headstone Psalms 118:22-23; Isaiah 28:16 Matthew 21:42; 1Pet 2:7 30.People would hear not and see not Isaiah 6:9-10 Matthew 13:14-15 31.A stone of stumbling to Israel Isaiah 8:14-15 1Pet 2:8 32.Brought light to Zebulon & Naphtali, Galilee of the Gentiles Isaiah 9:1-2 Matthew 4:15 33.People give God lip service Isaiah 29:13 Matthew 15:8 34.People trust in traditions of men Isaiah 29:13 Matthew 15:9 35.Heal blind/deaf/lame/dumb Isaiah 29:18; Isaiah 35:5-6 Matthew 11:5 36.God delights in Him Isaiah 42:1 Matthew 3:17; Matthew 17:5 37.Would not strive or cry Isaiah 42:2-3 Mark 7:36 38.Given for a covenant Isaiah 42:6; Jeremiah 31:31-34 Romans 11:27; Gal 3:17; Gal 4:24; Hebrews 8:6-10; Heb 10:16; Heb 10:29; Heb 12:24; Heb 13:20 39.Rejected by His own Isaiah 53:3 Matthew 21:42; Mark 8:31; Mark 12:10; Luke 9:22; Luke 17:25 40.He bore our sickness Isaiah 53:4 Matthew 8:16-17 41.Wounded for our sins Isaiah 53:5 John 6:51 42.He bore the sins of many Isaiah 53:10-12 Mark 10:45 43.Preached to the poor/brokenhearted/captives Isaiah 61:1 Matthew 11:5 44.Messiah not killed for Himself Template:Daniel Matthew 20:28 45.Smitten on the cheek Mic 5:1 Matthew 27:30 46.Came to bring a sword, not peace Mic 7:6 Matthew 10:34-35 47.He entered Jerusalem as a king riding on an ass Zech 9:9 Matthew 21:5 48.Sold for 30 pieces of silver Zech 11:12 Matthew 26:15; Luke 22:5 49.The 30 pieces of silver given for the potter's field Zech 11:13 Matthew 27:9-10 50.The 30 pieces of silver thrown in the temple Zech 11:13 Matthew 27:5 51.Forsaken by his disciples Zech 13:7 Matthew 26:56 52.Betrayed by a friend Psalm 41:9 John 13:21 53.Accused by false witnesses Psalm 35:11 Matthew 26:60 54.Silent to accusations Isaiah 53:7 Matthew 27:14 55.Spat upon, smitten and scourged Isaiah 50:6; Isaiah 53:5 Matthew 27:26; Matthew 27:30 56.Thirsty during execution Psalm 22:16 John 19:28 57.Given vinegar and gall for thirst Psalm 69:21 Matthew 27:34 58.Crucified with criminals Isaiah 53:12 Matthew 27:35 59.Side pierced Zech 12:10 John 19:34 60.His body was pierced Psalm 22:16; Zech 12:10 John 20:25-27 61.He trusted in God, let Him deliver him! 15. Not sure, but pretty cool topic, whats up?
  16. that is messed up, somthing is seriously wrong here.
  17. Why? Because Christianity is not a religion. Satan comes as an angel of the Light, cheating many though philosiphy, and fear. Now early catholism started cause the king wanted every one he ruled over to be christian, cause christians where concidered good people, they killed thousands all in the name of God, which they where blind. Neo nazi's all the same, violence is a product of man made tradition. Christianity is not a religion, it is a personal relationship. Now as far as accepting others, well Jesus accepted prostitutes, tax collecters, sinners, yet they new they had sin. Homosexuality has been just as attacking on Christianity as Christianity on homosexuals if not more attacking, for the fact. Homosexuality is a sin, Love the sinners hate the sin, but in a carnal mind, they hate the one who calls it a sin. Sin only makes us what we are in the world. There is corouption everwhere. THrough the blood of Jesus we are free. Now me, I am an x drug addict, and also a former sex adict, Now would It be wise for me to hang out with temptation? Those oposing my beliefs, seek to destroy beliefs, I do have friends that are aithiest, that are gay, that are drug addicts. I am friends, but I do not have fellowship with them, around what they do, or doing what they do, for I am a child of the Light. Yes love them, but make known the truth. Christianity set apart from Christ is alot of reason why we have violence. My Lord says love thy enemys. Which I do, Its not my place to condem them, it is my place to make known the word. If someone cannot accept me saying that is a sin, where the bible directly says it is a sin, then what friendship is there? Yes I do accept others not what they do. I am the worst of the worst sinners, yet the Lord has shown his grace on me, and his blood covers me. There are alot of wolves in sheeps clothing, those that seek to devour, My place to to make known, not devour. My war isnt with flesh and blood. Those who call themselves christians, yet act contrary to their beliefs and claim it's from God are false. If a Christian is trying to justify somthing that God has said is wrong, then they are false. Anyone can claim a name, or a title, but that is why christianity is set apart from religion. Now christianity viewed as a religion, and a belief, is a dangerious thing, I am A christian yes, not a set man made form of beliefs but I am a christian through the revelation of Christ, and the Holy Spirit working in my life. It is a living relationship, not a man made tradition, I know Jesus personally. There are so many who's love is cold in Christ, they are bitter, and angery, acting contrary to what Jesus Preaches. IT has been said "You will know Christians by their love" True christians, Believe in Christ, Love in Christ, and live in Christ. If we claim to be His children, yet our lives and hearts contradict, then we are not his. Christ can be seen in our lives, and through our love. In word and in action we confess Christ.
  18. I heard rossie o'donnel say this, very sad, very sad. Ya know, the way society is going it is very probible to be martyrd In our country. PRaise the Lord though, I know he's comming back soon. This world is going to get worse, they dispise the truth. We live in an wicked, adulterious generation. The only thing really you can do is stay bold. Stand up for the word, Reach out, and try to reach as many as you can. Pray, and hold fast to the good word. Praise the Lord. In Christ always.
  19. Why are we so afraid to offend someone, when we're offering the one thing that can save them? Is it worth it, as worth it as life it's self. Hold fast to the word, Like paul, there was many who did not listen, today the number has grown worse of those shut off to the idea, But it is very important to still stand up for Christ, heres somthing paul said about the same matter. Galations 1:10-11 10 For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ. 11 But I make known to you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. 12 For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ. We are not Christians by the pleasure of the world, and we are not christians to please men, But Christ. We live to serve Christ, and standing up for his name is very important. THis world has fallen into a more passive look, viewing Christianity as just another religion, but it's not a religion, it's a personal relationship, and it is truth. Also look at Ephesians 6:19-20 19 and for me, that utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. Paul was always asking prayer to speak boldly, and his whole life testifying of Jesus, thats where our hearts ought to strive to be like. 1 Peter 3:15,16 But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 16 keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behavior in Christ may be ashamed of their slander We are set apart, and it's our job to be ready in and out of season. I have been told that it's best if I drop it, and leave Christ out of the discussions a few times in my life, and a few times I've seen people saved because I opened my mouth and confessed my Lord. NOw lets look at the apostles lives, well they where faithful, to the point of jail, and death. They always confessed the Lord and that is all they stand on. I honestly feel that they would be disapointed to see how passive we've become with the Good news of Jesus Christ. The gave their lives to serve the Lord, and so many now have fallen into a well, is it right to talk about Jesus? I honestly pray and long to see christians stand up in unity, and truly live for Christ. If we dont speak our voices, who will? Mark 8:38 38 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.

    Magic

Very real, From my experience, I have been involved in wicca, and witchcraft, also demonism. What I have come to understand, is They are all harnessing energy to cause yoru own will, but what gives you the power to do so is ultimently demonic. Magic is somthing very dangerious, and wicked to play with. And all forms connect into one. The power of the Lord Jesus Christ is more power than we can ever imagine, and his blood covers all, and cleanses all.
  21. Wow, thats awesome, and a delight to read, Praise the Lord Praise the Lord. You did an awesome job on writing this, and thank you for taking the time to write it. It was a pleasure to read, I found it quite edifying.
  22. Lord I also pray for Lauren, I know very well that she could have accepted you at the last minuite, Lord I pray that you forgive her for her sins, Lord I pray that you be with her, And I pray that Katy gets to see her when she see's you face to face. In Jesus name I pray amen.
  23. I have had a simular experience, someone I always looked up to passed away of a drug overdose and a fire, I heard the news, and he was an unchristian, it's a hard thing to accept. Honestly, pray about it, and keep your faith, ya know. Lord I pray for Katy, Lift her heart with peace in your presence, Lord I pray that you fill her heart with your love, and that you lead her closer to you, Oh Lord Praise you. Praise you, I pray that you lead her and guide her closer to understanding, that you fill her heart with peace Lord. Comfort her Lord and give her direction, I pray for the family of her friend, that you would enter their Lives, and have victory in their hearts. Lord let them come to know you if they dont already, I pray for your peace Lord, Fill their hearts with your love. In Jesus name I pray amen.
  24. Now lets look at genesis 1 Genesis 1 The History of Creation 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. 3 Then God said,
