The trinity is the top of a very deep iceberg of what we do not know fully about God. It almost has to be enough that Christ talked about the Father and Holy Ghost. It is hard to believe though how many people reject the trinity when Christ Himself constantly talked of the Father, and then that the comforter would come in His place. He also said that He went to the Father so there can be no question that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit exist, and they exist all at the same time. Speaking of the deep iceberg, how can we even attempt to understand that He created time and space, heaven and hell, and does not need to dwell within either time or space? I AM, who can even fathom those two words uttered by God the Father in the Old Testament and by Christ in the New Testament?

Carlos - I am going to respond to this post without reading the others, something I do not normally do. I want to speak from my heart about this situation you are in. Marriage is a partnership, it is hard work to keep a marriage together, and anyone who says differently must live on another planet. Many people marry for the wrong reasons like sex and pregnancy. Many people divorce for the wrong reasons like family members interfering with two people who should be left alone to work out their own lives together. I will be married 30 years in a few months. When we went to see the film shortly after it had come out we went to a theatre jammed packed with a noisy, laughing, and shouting crowd of people from small children to elderly people that had to be helped to their seats. There were a few wisecracks about people dieing from watching the movie, just sort of a lighthearted crowd of people giggling and laughing. I for one was hesitate to go to this movie because I had an idea of what might be involved, but I could not have foreseen the sudden and dramatic change in the audience as the movie began, and throughout the entire time that it played. I have never been in a theater that was quieter the entire time of the showing, except for the occasional sob, and rustling of tissue to dry ones eyes. After the initial viewers coming back to their seats with popcorn at the beginning of the movie, I do not remember anyone getting up during the movie. After the movie hardly anyone spoke as they left the auditorium. It moved me also deeply, and I do not believe I have the energy to watch it again. It took a great deal of physical strength from me as I watched the movie, and I was literally numb all over for several minutes afterwards. I just wish that Mel would do a movie on the book of Acts next!

I am talking about available inventory. For companies that have just-in-time they reduce inventory so that if an emergency happens, say the shutdown of transportation systems such as shipping they will not be able to continue production for more than the supplies they have on hand, which is very little because they do not store extra supplies anymore because of just-in-time. Now that many of the components are made overseas this is a very real possibility. The other thing is that if a company is the sole source for a particular product that another company must have to manufacture their product and it is suddenly disabled it might affect many other manufacturing firms that need that component, because they do not store those extra parts. It was a great idea because no one had to be concerned about storing extra inventory or paying for the additional inventory on hand at the end of the year, but in the uncertain world in which we live, it just does not seem like a good idea to me anymore. The government stockpiles some things like oil, but commercial companies have no stockpiles. Companies are encouraged not to have stockpiles. I am sure if someone thought about it long and hard, it would be possible to come up with a few critical components that if those manufacturers were disabled would cripple huge areas of the manufacturing base for a long time. On the other hand who cares? ...and what does this have to do with The Matrix? Oh ya a rabbit trail

I would say that God can do anything He wants. Christ is part of the trinity and was able to look upon sin, the Holy Spirit is also a part of the trinity and is able to live within us...it was before Christ that the Holy Spirit would depart from sinners. God at one time considered destroying man completely...Rainbow reminder now. He has chosen to set up certain promises with man, but He did not have to do that...God could have chosen to not create anything. God Himself sets His own parameters as to what He will not do, not that He could not have done them before He set the parameters. He will even remake heaven and earth. About the only thing He will not do is uncreate a soul - so the need for the lake of fire. Did He have to create the universe? Did He have to make man? Did He have to create the Bible? He choose to do these things. He chooses to keep His promises.

Technology may be a temporary thing. When the end comes we might be already back in the stoneage. It would just take one pandemic, or the loss of a few natural resources, or a global change in wheather to disrupt technology completely. Carl Sagan believed that there is a certain point where humanity must reach for the stars, or forever lose the possibility of doing so because we will run out of the naturally resources to do so. If you want to consider a conspiricy (although I do not think it is one), consider the manufacturing concept of just-in-time. The concept that most companies now buy into. It basically means that everyone sends and receives items just in time so that they do not have to have an inventory sitting around. Someday this will have drastic consequences because when something worldwide does occur it will stop production of critical items everywhere. A company will not be able to make an item for the lack of a item like a bolt, because they did not store them within their company. The bolt company may have been destroyed, and the only source for that item (I am really thinking about more critical one-of-a-kind items).

I have worked on several secret and top secret military weapons programs over the years and they were classified as such for at least two reasons that had nothing to do with conspiracies. One reason was to prevent our enemies from attaining the knowledge so that they could get for free what it takes billions of dollars to get with hard work. It could explain many things though, like why can God be everywhere at once, because there is not really any space or time, nor any dimensions to the universe - just thought. Maybe saying "just thought" would really be humorous to God - because thought is the only real thing. So people who live their lives not believing in God, only what they can see, feel, taste, touch, and hear never really experience the realness of the world - which is the mind of God. Yikes! I do not think we would be any less real if we were actually a part of God's mind. Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. It sort of brings a whole new meaning to the above verse.

Hell is cast into the Lake of Fire. Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. ...But as the devil is tormented day and night, so to are all those who were in hell and now find themselves in the lake of fire. I wonder if hell stays intact in the lake of fire though, or if it breaks like a water balloon and only the lake of fire then exists for the lost. Time is ended about this same period, so there will be no measurement possible of eternity - it just will always be.

I thought this was an easy passage until I started asking myself a few questions, now they have snowballed. lol Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Why does this passage not say the following: And the souls who were in hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. Is death a physical thing that can be cast into the lake of fire? Is hell going to be kept intact in the lake of fire? Why say death and hell? Besides, is not hell empty? The previous passage says so here. Death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them. Who might be dead but not in hell or heaven? Delivered up the dead from death?

Hell ends up in the Lake of Fire. Time is officiallly ended by God. You decide to determine how long the Lake of Fire will last so you take your watch out and time it. The watch no longer means anything because while the watch works perfectly it never moves. There is no longer any period to measure.
