To do whatever the Lord allows me to wake up and to bring unity to the Body of Christ. I believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative, infallible word of God. Much of what we call "religion" is a whole lot of man made rules and regulations to control people. Jesus said, "Follow me". He promised His Holy Spirit to guide us. The scriptures that are most relevant to Crying in the Wilderness Ministry are: Ephesians 2:10; Jeremiah 1:4-19, 7:1-34; Ezekiel 33, Revelation 3:14-21 as well as John 17:23. Of course all this goes with 1Corinthians 13.<br />"Crying in the Wilderness Ministry

  1. I hope this dosen't mean I'm a right wing, Bible thumping, fundamentalist conspirator, - with a philosophy that says we have the right to pursue happiness but the government does not have the responsibility to provide it! 2. I read the entire article and found it quite interesting and informative. I spent much of my life in Scientific Research - a PhD in Medical Biochemistry and 25 years in Clinical diagnostic research. As a scientist I cannot understand how any intelligent person can believe that it all started with a BIG BANG. I know - E=MC2 - interchangeability of matter and energy but where did it come from in the first place? A joke: Several scientists were in the lab and mixed together a very well defined set of chemicals and low and behold when viewed under the microscope it was moving. One of the scientists ran out of the door - lifted up the vial that contained the new life and said, "God, we don't need you any more. We have created life out out the dirt!" From the sky he heard in a loud booming voice, "Get your own dirt!". Joking aside - we have been given intelligence and we should continue to seek knowledge. There is much we do not know. For a second in time I was the world's leading expert on "Gluconeogenesis in the Liver and Kidney of Thiamine Deficient Rats". WOW - It's so exciting you can say it backwards WOW! What I really discovered after many years of study was how little I really knew. I definitely feel that the search for the truth should continue - creation (the world around us and the universe) is a source of vast information, in my opinion, about the Creator. Many times I have been asked my opinion of Evolution vs Intelligent Design. My answer, "A great opportunity for study and debate as is a Pretribulation rapture vs Midtrib, or Posttrib - Personally I believe in pantrib and pancreation - it will all pan out in the end. Since neither of these has a great effect on my salvation - which is dependent upon knowing and accepting the work and teachings of Jesus Christ and His redemption of mankind by His death on the cross - I have used the opportunity remind people of three absolutes: The longer you stay here the older you get. If you live long enough you will not get out of this alive. The statistical death rate among humans regardless of their beliefs in creation, evolution, sex, sexual orientation, republican, democrat, denomination, atheist, etc is 100%. WHAT IF THE BIBLE IS TRUE?
  3. Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American G.I. One died for your soul, the others for your freedom. Memorial Day - a time to spend with the Lord, family, and friends celebrating the freedoms we have as a result to the death of Christ upon the cross and the sacrifices that were made and are being made by those who have and are serving in our Armed Forces. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance. Thomas Jefferson 3rd president of US (1743 - 1826)
  4. Perhaps some light can be shed on the meaning of these verses by considering the following article. American Christianity -- Laodicean church in the making, says Barna Jody Brown OneNewsNow.com May 23, 2007 Bible-opened.jpg More than 20 years of research, says The Barna Group, has revealed a disturbing trend among Americans' spiritual beliefs and behavior: their commitment to orthodox biblical perspectives is "slipping." The director of a recent Barna study says the findings reflect a "spiritual profile" among Americans similar to that of the early church at Laodicea -- a church which Jesus admonished for being "neither hot nor cold" and called to repentance. advertisement Every year, The Barna Group explores the "state of America's faith," examining such factors as people's spiritual activity, faith identity, commitment, and religious perspective. This year's poll of more than 1,000 adults (conducted in January) indicates that while Americans are remaining spiritually active, the percentage of those who hold orthodox biblical views has fallen to its lowest level in decades. "They've actually become less orthodox, less traditional," Barna's David Kinnaman tells Associated Press. "[M]any of their core biblical perspectives have changed." A report released by Barna summarizes this year's findings. Among them -- two-thirds (66%) of Americans believe that God is best described as "the all-powerful, all-knowing creator of the universe who rules the world today." That is down five percent from one year ago and represents the lowest percentage in more than 20 years of similar surveys, notes the report. You can read the entire article at One News Now
  5. Below is a letter I have written to our local papers. Brothers and Sisters in Christ we need to wake-up and become His witnesses before that priviledge is taken away. Perhaps I'm to pessimistic but all around me I am seeing the word of God attacked under the guise of Iintolerance, etc. As His called out ones we have an opportunity to make His word known to a dying and perverse world! 7. I posted this here to provide encouragement to those in need. Remember each of us is a unique miracle created for a purpose which God determined beforehand. Ephesians 2:10 Daily Rules from God for 2007 1. Wake Up!! Decide to have a good day. "Today is the day the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be glad in it." Psalms 118:24 2. Dress Up!! The best way to dress up is to put on a smile. A smile is an inexpensive way to improve your looks. "The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at outward appearance; but the Lord looks at the heart." I Samuel 16:7 3. Shut Up!! Say nice things and learn to listen. God gave us two ears and one mouth, so He must have meant for us to do twice as much listening as talking. "He who guards his lips guards his soul." Proverbs 13:3 4. Stand Up!!... For what you believe in. Stand for something or you will fall for anything.. "Let us not be weary in doing good; for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good..." Galatians 6:9-10 5. Look Up!!... To the Lord. "I can do everything through Christ who strengthens me." Phillippians 4:13 6. Reach Up!!... For something higher. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding. In all your ways, acknowledge Him, And He will direct your path." Proverbs 3:5-6 7. Lift Up!!... Your Prayers. "Do not worry about anything; instead PRAY ABOUT EVERYTHING." Philippians 4:6 Pass this on and brighten someone's day, and remember: God answers Knee-Mail.
  8. We are saved by GRACE THROUGH FAITH NOT BY WORKS (the law) To often the "religious pharisees" among us emphasize the law which is clearly given that we might know we cannot be saved by the law. I think a through study of the scriptures not the commentaries will make it clear that whether you are circumsized or not is not what is important - whether you tithe or not is not important - some should give 50% - others what they are led of the spirit. :et's be set free by Christ from the Law of sin and death! The Law is to often quoted to justify man and to put a yoke on the Body of Christ. Jesus came to set the captives free...... There are many other references in the New Testament. Gal 5:18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law. Rom 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under Law, but under grace. Rom 6:15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under Law, but under grace? Let it not be! Rom 6:16 Do you not know that to whom you yield yourselves as slaves for obedience, you are slaves to him whom you obey; whether it is of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness. Gal 3:10 For as many as are out of works of the Law, these are under a curse; for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the Book of the Law, to do them." Gal 3:11 But that no one is justified by the Law in the sight of God is clear, for, "The just shall live by faith." Gal 3:12 But the Law is not of faith; but, "The man who does these things shall live in them." Gal 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us (for it is written, "Cursed is everyone having been hanged on a tree"); Gal 3:14 so that the blessing of Abraham might be to the nations in Jesus Christ, and that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Rom 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the works of the Law.
  9. Sir Winston Churchill Never, never, never believe any war will be smooth and easy, or that anyone who embarks on the strange voyage can measure the tides and hurricanes he will encounter. The statesman who yields to war fever must realize that once the signal is given, he is no longer the master of policy but the slave of unforeseeable and uncontrollable events.

  11. Below are a few verses that indicate that we are sinners and continue to sin - (New International Version) I found a GREAT site to look up Bible verses as well as answers to many questions - check it out at http://www.livingwaters.com/add-toolbar.shtml Romans 7:24-25 24What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? 25Thanks be to God
  12. I have come to the conclusion that they encourage young men (18-25) to join the armed forces or they are drafted because for some reason they really think they can take that hill with fixed bayonets AND YELLING while the enemy shoOts at them with machine guns. If we old guys were drafted we would most likely surround the hill and starve the enemy out. Bottom line - death does not take on a real meaning until you have seen it first hand or been to a few funerals. As a teen I thought I would never die and could do all things - I have grown up some ... PRAISE GOD!
  13. If we are to be one in the Spirit it must be the Holy Spirit. My research indicates that for the most part the ecumenical movement is more interested in "unity" than in truth. God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow - He does not change. We cannot be in unity of the Holy Spirit if we compromise any of the truth revealed to us by Him in the Scriptures. When Jesus prayed that we might be one even as He and the Father are one (John 17:23) He defined the oneness we are to have --- the same as He and the Father... not the oneness that we might achieve by committee and compromise. Below are a few sites that discuss this issue.... http://www.jeremiahproject.com/prophecy/ecumen01.html http://www.orthodoxinfo.com/ecumenism/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ecumenism
  14. We are to be like little children. I am in my 60s and believe me 9(or my wife) God is doing a mighty work - I'm acting mor and more as a child. thank you for reminding us! Just went to your website - it is fantastic and certainly glorifies the Lord!!! Thanks again
