ummm...no..we were not created to be a god. Where is your scripture to back this? There is only one God and He created us to worship the one true God, Himself!

Sorry, I should have specified. Biblicist gave us definitions of denominations and religions. So I guess you could say they were different Christian denominations that were confused on the subject of Jesus being Jehovah. Now, what I would like to know is who classified Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses as "non-Christian?" Anyone who makes that assumption is misinformed. But, as a Mormon, I enjoy being in my own "category."

"a g-d in training" I think it is rather a dangerous practice to consider yourself a g-d in training. Or a g-d at all. There is only one God who exists in three persons. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

Christians have been and will continue to be persecuted. Sure it is a sign of truth. But, persecution alone is not a sign. There must be fact, it must make sense, and there must be the "fruits." By their fruits ye shall know them. Who is it that inspires persecution? Ultimately, it is the devil. He of all people wants nothing more than to destroy the truth. Another sad thing is the persecution amongs the Christian sects. Persecution from without, and what most don't realize, is the persecution from within. The different denominations, clergy, follwers, etc, are attacking other religions, leaders, and members. And what for? Over small differences in belief. It is clear that not all can be right at once, and yes, there must exist one true church. Most everyone has the strong conviction that it is their own church, which is normal and acceptable. But this does not mean that we have the right to infringe upon others beliefs, practices, and religious rights. But yes, unfortunately there is persecution, and it will only grow worse until the day of Christ's return. It has been prophesied and it will come to pass.

A "god" in the sense as he was a heavenly being, an archangel of high rank. So, what does this have to do with your name? Surely you do not identify with Lucifer? Why so obscure? Good observation. It has nothing to do with Lucifer, nor to I wish to offiliate myself with him. He certainly was a person of high rank before the world was, and it is a pity that he desired more than what God had promised to give him. Now, to all, the reason I proposed this question is not because I am in doubt on the subject. I lived in Brazil for some time, and I saw many different religions and I often asked about their beliefs and practices. I guess you could say that I interviewed a number of leaders and members. It seemed that nobody knew whether the Father is Jehovah, or if it is Christ. People from the same congregations often contradicted one another. I wanted to see if it was the same in the States, but I find that people here are much more well informed on the topic. Thanks for the replies.

But to answer yours, Lucifer was a god before the world was. The Bible tells us this.

When dealing with different or strange tounges, as they have come to be called, we must move forward with caution. We must ask ourselves: What is the purpose of praying or speaking in some unknown tounge? The Bible states clearly in 1 Corinthians chapter 14 that unless there is someone translating, you must keep quite, speaking to God alone. Paul tells us that he would rather say 5 words in a language he knows and others understand that speaking 1000 words in some unknown tounge. Everything that comes from God will edify us. How are we being edified, illuminated, or improved by speaking a language that we infact do not understand ourselves. And if we don't understand, will the people who listen interpret that? And if no one understands, is there any task being accomplished? We must remember that there are two spirits at work here. God's, and the devil's. Remember, that if it doesn't edify, it doesn't come from God. And if it doesn't come from God, where does it come from? The devil. Now, don't get me wrong. I believe in the gift of tounges. But we must not distort what the Bible tells us. Acts 2 tells us of a remarkable outpouring of the spirit, resulting in the bestowal of the gift of tounges on the apostles. What tounges did they speak? Strange, unknown languages? No. They spoke Greek, Latin, Arabic, Hebrew, etc. There were many people there from many backgrounds, and each heard the apostles speak in THEIR own langauges, which caught them offguard, for they asked amongst themselves: Are not these men Galileans? Yet they speak to us in OUR own tounges. Therefore, the Gift of Tounges is NOT speaking in strange, unknown languages, BUT, it is speaking in languages that exist so that others may hear and understand the Good Word.

Helping and sustaining Israel is fulfilling prophecy. Israel will rise up in the last days, acknowledge Christ as their King, and will prepare the way for the Messaih's return. Anyone who studies the Bible knows this.

How can the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost be ONE personage? They can't. Would Christ ever say anything to confuse us? Is he an actor? A hypocrite? God forbid! Why on numerous occasions does He refer distinctly to His Father? Why doesn't He refer to Himself as God The Father? I do those things that please my Father.... I am on my Father's errand.... Pray to my Father which is in Heaven.... Pray in My name, unto the Father.... The Father judgeth no one, but giveth all judgement unto the Son.... These are merely a few examples of what Christ has said in the New Testament. THe following experiences should help us to realize that there are in fact three, and not One: When Christ was baptized, a voice was heard from where? From the heavens. And what descended in the sign of a dove? The Holy Ghost. Here we see three distint personages. Christ, while on the cross, cried unto His Father. "Why hast thou forsaken me?" This phrase implies the absence of His Father's presence. God was and is with Him(Christ) but in that moment God left Christ alone to suffer for our sins, and Christ felt that. When Christ was resurrected, Mary stretched forth her hand to touch Him, but He wouldn't permit her, saying He had not yet gone up to where His Father is. Plain and simple. Christ, after His death and ressurrection, had not gone to where the Father was upon meeting Mary in the garden of the empty tomb. After Christ's death, a man named Stephen looked up into heaven while being stoned, and saw the Glory of God and Christ on the right hand of God. How could He distinguish two personages? Was he hallucinating? Doubtful, since even in the most strenuous or painful circumstances, Holy Men are still spiritually focussed. So, are God, Christ, and the Holy Ghost One personage? Or are they three seperate beings? Christ prayed unto His Father in John 17, for His apostles, that they might be one in Him as He was one with the Father. How can there exist such unity among mortal men? They cannnot possibly be One being; various personalities within one body. It is not logical, it is not Biblical, it is not True Doctrine. God, Christ, and the Holy Ghost are One in idea, purpose, thought, mind, but not in physical form. God has a body of flesh and bone, the Son also, but the Holy Ghost is a spirit, for if it were not, it could not dwell within us.
