  1. I would rather eliminate the enemy within these people than the people themselves. We cannot deny they are God's creation too, taken over by THE Enemy. I know it looks impossible but God is capable of miracles if it so suits His plan.
  2. Today is a week since this round of killing began, but in fact the people in this country are under attack one way of the other since the beginning in 1948! It is not new. It is just more sophisticated. For this reason people in Israel have "got used" to these situations. I know. You never get used to a close friend killed right in front of you but as a general atmosphere this is true. When I was 5 my parents were guarding me against these enemies. I grew up and too the place of my parents spending many years doing what my parents did before me. My children grew up and took over and now my grandchildren..... I have a grandson sitting opposite the Hammas in Gaza and we have SMS communication just to keep him connected to normality.\ I find it to be a spiritual war. No less! and in a spiritual war I can lose the battle very easily. We are stronger than Hammas. But there is something that we can easily be dragged into. I am talking about anger and hatred. When they shoot all those rockets at my 14 grandchildren, it is so easy to get angry, frustrated and wish the enemy the worst I can imagine! During the 2006 war with Hizbollah in Lebanon, God asked me to pray for Nasrallah..... My initial reaction was "OVER MY DEAD BODY!!!" A while later I did try and even succeeded (a miracle in itself) to pray for my number 1 enemy. At that moment I realized what God was telling me. It had nothing to do with Nasrallah! It was all about that anger and hatred potentially building up in my heart. Today it is very clear to me that I don't have to hate my enemy in order to beat them at war. This is why I do not wish my enemies to be crushed. We will do that if we have to but I think God's glory will be so much greater if that terrible enemy will TURN TO HIM! I know...I know.... impossible, right? If you really think this is impossible, you are missing out on one of God great facilities.... MIRACLES Miracles are not beyond God So my bottom line for now is to pray for my enemies even when I have to fight them!! ... and of course this is impossible without God's help So, let's do the job WITHOUT hatred and anger. How about it?
  3. Hi Botz, The red alert application you talk about is not bad. I use it and you can get a good idea of where to drive and what to keep away from. On the other hand we'll be going down South over the weekend to visit friends who probably need support NOW and not when it's over. I know how bad it sounds from a distance but although it is a huge inconvenience, it is none the less still a thriving country where people do their daily stuff, with an added ritual of running for shelter every so often. As for praying... I would rather the enemy turn their eyes on HIM rather than be crushed. I guess that is asking for a lot but....you never know...God has His ways with people he created :-) Meanwhile, enjoy your horse ride.... :horse:
  4. no, I don't think it is a conspiracy. The rockets and the grenades they launch don't have any kind of guidance system. All Hamas can do with qassam rockets is point in the general direction of Israel, shoot and hope they get lucky and hit something. So it makes sense that they end up landing in open areas with killing anyone. What's more, they don't care. Miss and do nothing, kill some Israelis, miss big time and kill some of your own people.... they're not bothered. They'll target their own if it progresses their cause. This is why Muslims are such tough cookies to fight. They'll kill themselves and their families if need be. They don't have the sense of self-preservation that other enemies have. That's why you can't fight Muslims with jabs, blocks and well-timed hooks - you always have to go for the knockout punch. They don't fight fair and never have. In Britain we have a saying: "It's just not cricket!" We are in the midst of World War III which is vastly different than WWWII. We are using WWWII thinking and that does not work. You cannot frighten an enemy with tanks and planes when they use suicide bombers as a weapon. It is a religious war fought by an enemy who don't care about their own life. We need to change the disk or lose the war !!
  5. no, I don't think it is a conspiracy. The rockets and the grenades they launch don't have any kind of guidance system. All Hamas can do with qassam rockets is point in the general direction of Israel, shoot and hope they get lucky and hit something. So it makes sense that they end up landing in open areas with killing anyone. With all due respect, it's true they don't have a guiding system but considering the distance they shoot and the size of the targets..... how come it's mostly in open areas? I find it pretty suspicious, but time will tell
  6. That is what we do most of the time. Also, they throw a lot of rockets and mortar shells at us but mostly they land in open areas. If you ask me, it smells very suspicious .... conspiracy?
  7. Targeted and pinpointed, my foot!!! They are bombing empty buildings and sand dunes at best.... lots of noise to cover up empty words
  8. It could very well be in our interest to safeguard Jordan rather than have the radical Islamic maniacs sitting a few KM away from our main towns As for the US.... I wouldn't hold my breath waiting, especially with the existing president
  9. Israel fighting the same enemy as Iran......Nuts! isn't it Trouble is....these are the facts of life right now :guns: If you are looking for logic in Middle East politics, I suggest you try the moon. Better luck there
  10. I have to admit they (my "friendly" neighbors) are absolutely right at least in one aspect: "Death is near" I mean, it is true for every living creature. After all God made us this way and death is very much a part of life, isn't it? Whether it is "near" or not is a matter of personal interpretation. For me, today would be near. Next year too, but 100 years from now is pretty far away on the time line. So, let them have their say. I do acknowledge their saying it. I do not, however, acknowledge their way of pushing things. That is something we will oppose, and have been doing so since the birth of our state in 1948. Point is: What they say is just words. What they do is what we should be, and are, dealing with. Get that?! My dear "friendly" neighbors
  11. No surprise here. It was just a matter of time Palestinians make a terrorist government with Hamas. What else should one expect?
  12. Not bad but I would make a couple of changes: instead of "Allah" I would write "God" and instead of "kill" I would put "join" Other than that I agree
  13. Actually, what comes to mind is that song "Return to sender....." - preferably by air
