  1. I write my requests down in a little notebook that I call my prayer book, any of the prayers I want answered. And then I go back and write down the answer when it comes. This helps me when someone asks me to pray for something. I jot it down in the little notebook I have in my purse so I won't forget to pray about it. It's a lot more exciting when the answer comes and I can write it down as answered. And sometimes it is not answered the way I think it should be answered. And a lot of times it does not come at the time I expect it to come. But it helps me keep track of all my petitions and I'm learning more and more that way. Bonnie
  2. This was sooo cool. I have read that verse before, or remember it anyway, but I guess I never wondered about it. There are so many things to discover in the Word. I will never stop learning. I sooo can't wait to go to Heaven.
  3. WOW! what a sermon! I was a "Christian" who got interested in Mormonism. I was an investigator for 1-1/2 yrs. But, it was not a total waste because, through it, I dug into the Bible like I had never done before and developed a real hunger for knowing Heavenly Father. I have been hung up on Him and His Word ever since. I even stopped reading the Book of Mormon and all their other scriptures and find I rest much better at night. I still get that old urge to be a part of them again, but only because they are such good people - just very deceived. The spirit of Mormonism comes from the occult, straight from Joseph Smith, whom they say they totally believe in. Even if they have their doubts, it would be hard to leave their world because most of them would lose their family. But, I chose a different path and have a heavy heart for my friends now. I have to work everyday with my best friend, who got me into it, but she sees something in me that I think she longs to have, although I promised I would never try to sway her belief; it must be the Holy Spirit who draws her and I continually pray for her. I believe that if we listen to that "still small voice," that we will allow a hunger to grow in us and then we will willingly saturate ourselves in his Word. And then our minds can be renewed and the world grows "strangely dim." Without Him how lost I would be. I couldn't have said that before I was drawn into an investigation. I fought the law and the Law won. The Law is truely in my heart now. I no longer think I have to obey it to get into the "Celestial Kingdom." I believe it will be very hard for someone to suddenly try to turn to God when trouble comes. It would be much smoother if they have the Word hidden in their hearts and have been seeking after Him for a long time, before it is too late and there is no time left to study the Bible. Better to pray God brings along some disaster or heartache to push you into hungering for righteousness than to realize that it is too late and you missed out. I think we can pray for that hunger, can't we? Thanx for such a rich message.
  4. This is a test: I'm new at this and have not figured out how to use it yet, but I'd like to ask Arthur Durnan a question. I see you are off line now and I've tried to e-mail you. Thanx
  5. I was just reading in Hebrews today and was surprised to read something scarey in chapter 6, verse 4-6. "For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted the heavenly gift and have become partakers of the Holy Spirit and have tasted the good word of God and the powers of the age to come, if they fall away, to renew them again to repentance, since they crucify again for themselves the Son of God, and put Him to an open shame." I am from a Mormon background, but am rediscovering God and so it may not be true, but this does appear to suggest that we can lose our salvation if we do it to ourselves. Does it not?
