Hopefully that is a daily thing we do--it's called "consecration". As we meet the Father daily and seek His righteousness, why would we need a Lent period? If we do these things daily, as God so desires, we don't need Lent--it's just a religious exercise. Exactly!

Praise God for this! No sin is greater than another sin. When I lie, that sin is just as bad as homosexuality. We are forgiven!

Please show me the scriptural reasons that you believe this is not true? I think that if you think this applys to you, that you were once saved and now your not.. You were never saved to begin with! Saved = Believing that Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins! John 3:16: 16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Oh no, don't do that! LOL! Anyhow, I do not observe lent either. Instead, through my daily walk with God, I try to give up anything that may be harmful to myself and to people around me. I think that is the way it should really be. If someone is giving up cursing, for example. Just for lent?! Come on people, lets give it up entirely! So my prayer is this.. That everyone who is observing lent and giving up bad stuff in their lives may give it up not only for 40 days, but for the rest of their lives! Rebecca

I do have to disagree with some of this. I don't think that the media's intent is to target Christianity. Look at the most recent, "The Passion of Christ". I think that the media will always be looking for controversial topics, not just Christianity. When people fear change, they attack the changer. In this case, the changer is Jesus. You do bring up some very good points though. Let us still, pray for the media =) Rebecca

Wow, that is a huge encouragement to me! I've been having problems with a co-worker also. It's been going on, once a month for a while now lola. One moment she is a great person to talk to and laugh with, the next minute she is very rude to me and almost yells at me. I have prayed for her and God has given me peace and wisdom about it. I think this is a big life lesson for me to not take things so personally, especially at the work place. You are not the only one discouraged. I have faced these questions before in my life too. Understanding comes with time and prayer. Seeing isn't believing all the time. It's about faith. I now feel God in my heart. He has given me a peace and he will give you a peace when the time is right. You just need to relax and let God work in your life. So many times I just stand before God in awe. I look at what he has created and I am speechless. God made you for a reason. He made us all for a reason. I do not believe that God choses us. WE choose HIM! God gives EVERYONE the opp. to follow him. God see's your heartache. He hear's your cry. He does care. Sometimes, the best thing for us is no answer at all. He molds us into discipleship. I grew up in an unstable home as a lot of people have. God may not have answered my prayer right then. But he answered my prayers. I thank God for what he has done. If you don't hear anything else, here this.. I thank God for you and for your willingness to seek him out! Don't give up because I know God see's your struggles and he will come through for you!
