  1. Only I need to correct the first name. It is...Arnold Murray.
  2. @ayin jade Thanks for the info! I had never heard of this "Serpent Seed" teaching before. I went to research it a bit and was shocked. Dangerous... In contrast to the outlandish claim that Satan and Eve had sexual relations and produced Cain, scripture says: "Now Adam had marital relations with his wife Eve, and she conceived, and gave birth to Cain, and said, "I have gotten a man from God." (Genesis 4:1) "And the Lord said unto Cain, where is Abel thy brother? " (Genesis 4:9) God Himself referred to Cain as being Abel's brother. Would God do this if Cain was actually the offspring of Satan?
  3. @marvelloustime I'm glad it spoke to your
  4. This is about the blind hymnist through which so many wonderful songs came:
  5. @marvelloustime I love it, too. When I was just a girl this was one of my favorites in our church hymnal. Must have been the Pastor's, as well...because we sang this one a LOT. he he. Thanks for posting this. It is a really nice version of it. Did you know it was written by a blind poet named Fanny Crosby? Hers is a fascinating story. I will be posting a biography clip under General videos. Keep watch for it, okay? God bless you.
  6. A tiny rhyme to go along with this emoji who I have affectionately named "Go-Go-Gospel" because of the circuit riders of old who used to go from village to village spreading the gospel via horse. Spreading the gospel far and near It looks like Go-Go has been here
  7. This month marks my 47th Birthday ("Born Again Birthday", that is. ) I wrote a poem to celebrate this, the most important day in my life. I wanted to share it with you, my Worthy family Testimony- (A Poem I Wrote This Month) I praise God for Christian parents Ones who cared about my soul As a child the seeds were planted And I felt the Spirit's pull Grandma gave me my own Bible I discovered there's a Hell Then I read I was a sinner Who deserved to go there well But in Jesus there was mercy He who paid the price for sin I cried out to be forgiven And God's Spirit entered in In that moment Jesus found me I became a new creation Trusting in His blood to save me Christ alone was my salvation My desires changed to please Him These my Savior put in me Flowing freely for I loved Him living for eternity Scripture became precious to me In a way unlike before I would just devour it daily Finding I was craving more Telling others about Jesus How He died to save them, too Sharing with the lost the gospel Now was what I longed to do Praying, praising not a burden They became a pure delight Fellowshiping with my Savior Who had brought this blind soul sight This- my simple testimony How Christ made my heart brand new To the ones who still don't know Him He can do the same for you
  8. @marvelloustime said, "He transforms us by His Holy Spirit to make us more like Him." (I hope it is okay if I answer for her She can add on, if she wishes. But this is one verse showing it is scriptural.) "And we all having been unveiled in face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image, from glory to glory, even as from the Lord, the Spirit." (2 Cor 3:18)
  9. A very small child with loving parents trusts everything his/her parents say and depends fully upon them. They believe their parent is invincible and can do anything. They see in their parent somebody awesome beyond compare who they feel safe with... someone who loves and cares for them. So must those who are believers see God in this way and approach Him accordingly...thereby being like little children.
  10. @AnOrangeCat Thanks. I went over and read it. Interesting.
  11. @AnOrangeCat Thanks. That is fascinating! I would love to know more about this. Do you happen to have a link? When my daughter was pregnant, she used to play classical music to relax my grandson inside of her. I thought that was wise as they say babies can indeed hear from the outside world. They even make Christian lullaby recordings for the little ones in the womb. Soothing for the mama, too
  12. @Worship Warriors Yes. In God's time, it shall be set right. ‘Will not the Judge of all the earth do right?’ (Genesis 18:25).
  13. Today is Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. This is a poem I wrote...because life matters. Questions...Because Life Matters Why do trials in life befall us? Is it so that we can grow? We keep searching for the answers Some things we may never know Seems unfair while kind folks suffer Those so evil have it made Wondering why the wicked prosper Living large in their charade Often we cry out for justice Sadly, it's so seldom found Unborn children being slaughtered Innocents who make no sound Inconvenience is the reason Some will take the easy route Elderly considered burdens Euthanasia can take out Calling it an act of mercy Justifying apathy Human life has lost its value When you end it easily Marriages that once were binding Vows till death we two shall part Are so rare when Christ who joins them Is no longer at the heart A disposable society Where the weakest ones we trod Love of many waxing cold now Towards their fellow man and God "Righteous are You, O LORD, that I would plead my case with You; Indeed I would discuss matters of justice with You: Why has the way of the wicked prospered? Why are all those who deal in treachery at ease?" (Jeremiah 12:1) “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.” (Matthew 24:12) VALUE LIFE
  14. 9 Ways to Celebrate Sanctity of Life Sunday by Ken Ham on January 10, 2020 Sunday, January 19, 2020, is Sanctity of Life Sunday in the US. Many churches choose to set aside time to celebrate and teach on the sanctity of all human life, particularly that of the unborn. It’s a great time to share the message that we are fearfully and wonderfully made by God, knit together in our mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13–14). Here are some ideas on what to do this year to celebrate National Sanctity of Life Sunday at your church or in your home. Hold a showing of our recently updated DVD from anatomist Dr. David Menton, Fearfully and Wonderfully Made. It’s an incredible peek into the mind-blowing process of human development, particularly in the very early stages. It powerfully displays the biblical truth that we’re fearfully and wonderfully made. Watch the movie Unplanned with your family (not appropriate for younger children) or purchase a license to watch the film with your church. This movie tells the story of a rising star in Planned Parenthood who is now a pro-life activist. It’s a very moving story, and young people in particular need to see it. Hold a fundraiser or special offering for a local pregnancy care center or consider hosting a diaper drive for a local pregnancy care center. Call first to confirm how much volume they can process and what sizes are most appreciated. Host a community baby shower where anyone from the community can come and take home free items. These items can be purchased by the church or congregation (e.g., diapers, wipes, etc.) or donated by the congregation (i.e., gently used baby or maternity clothes, strollers, cribs, toys, etc.). Or, if you know of single moms or dads, find out what they need and then meet that need. Contact your local pregnancy care center and see if there's anything you, your family, or the congregation could help with (e.g., a work bee day, provide needed items, etc.). Don't just assume your church family understands the value of all human life and what it means that humans are made in the image of God. Many Christians don't because they’ve been indoctrinated to think like many people in the mainstream culture. If you’re a pastor or parent, take time to share what God's Word says about the value of children, including the unborn, and his plan for them. Share resources for those who may have had an abortion (e.g., most pregnancy centers offer post-abortive counseling). Plan to visit the Creation Museum’s upcoming sanctity of life exhibit, set to open this summer. Bring along your youth group and support Answers in Genesis in confronting the culture with boldness on these prominent issues. And the sanctity of human life isn’t just about the unborn! Discuss how your church can be more friendly and welcoming towards those of all abilities. If you have parents of children with disabilities in your congregation, ask them how your church could improve and make Sunday morning easier for them. Don’t forget the elderly and terminally ill.Perhaps plan a visit to a nursing home, the home of someone unable to make it to church, or raise funds for a local Christian hospice, or honor the elderly or infirmed in your church. Sanctity of Life Sunday only comes once a year. Still, we should be ever mindful of the dignity and value God has bestowed on every human life by creating us in his image (Genesis 1:27). That’s a message we need to take to heart every day of the year. Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying, Ken
  15. Sanctity of Human Life Sunday ORIGINS: On January 13, 1984, President Ronald Reagan issued a proclamation designating January 22 as the first National Sanctity of Human Life Day. (January 22, 1973, was the day the U.S. Supreme Court legalized abortion-on-demand in all 50 states.) Churches around the United States use the day to celebrate God's gift of life, commemorate the many lives lost to abortion, and commit themselves to protecting human life at every stage. UPCOMING DATE: Churches continue to recognize the third Sunday in January as Sanctity of Human Life Sunday. In 2020, the date will be January 19.
  16. That's exactly what it is about. @BeauJangles Absolutely! Balance is vital. It is too often the missing link in threads. You explained things well. I adhere to your perspective. Thanks for this much needed post.
  17. @marvelloustime My son found this one. I hope it is a blessing to you.
