TT, you're more than welcome, I knew it was the female that you posted, and could have explained regarding the male, but didn't want to spoil your new find, God bless.

@Heybro :)Aww. That was thoughtful of you.

Your identifying it led to some enjoyable research. Here are some of the interesting things I learned.

It has the biological name of Anas platyrhynchos. The common name is wild duck.

They can be found in many parts of the world such as in Eurasia, Americas, and North Africa. They like living in the subtropical and tropical areas. They have been introduced to Brazil, Peru, Australia, New Zealand, Uruguay, Falklands Islands, Chile, South Africa, and Argentine.

The brown-speckled plumage is mostly found in the female Mallard Ducks. The belly and wings are in grey color for the male Mallard Ducks. Moreover, the head is in glossy green.

Facts about Mallard Ducks: the habitat
They can be found living in rivers, small ponds, parks, lakes and salt-water wetlands. They like living in a flock or group for they are social animals. Their diet includes small animals and water plants.

Facts about Mallard Ducks: the length and wingspan
Mallard Ducks have the wingspan of 32 until 39 inches or 81 to 98 cm. The length is measured at 20 to 26 inches or 50 to 65 cm.

Facts about Mallard Ducks: the weight
Mallard Ducks have the weight of 1.6 to 3.5 lb or 0.72 to 1.58 kilograms.

Facts about Mallard Ducks: the standard measurement
The tarsus of Mallard Ducks is measured at 1.6 to 1.9 inches or 4.1 to 4.8 cm. The bill is measured at 1.7 to 2.4 inches or 4.4 to 6.1 cm. The wing chord is measured at 10.1 to 12.0 inches or 25.7 to 30.6 cm.

Facts about Mallard Ducks: the food choices
The food choices of Mallard Ducks make the birds included as omnivorous animals. They like eating worms, crustaceans, tubers, roots, worms, flies, dragonflies, and beetles.

Facts about Mallard Ducks: the breeding season
The female eats 63 percent plant matter and 37 percent animal matter during the breeding season.

Hey TT, hoping the info was correct and helpful to you, God bless.

@Heybro Yep. That's it!  Thanks for your help, brother.

:)The Lord has created so many beautiful birds. This picture of a female Mallard (left)...the one I was needing to identify and a male (right) go out especially to you.

  3. Please pray for my son who has been suffering with ongoing stomach trouble (long term.May be result of a botched surgery.)

For some odd reason, my own stomach has been swollen and painful lately (badly bloated or maybe something else?)

Anyway, both of us need God's healing touch. Thanks.

I am sorry I have been out of the loop here on Worthy for a while.  Many things happening within my family and the farm.

@mlbrokish Nice to see you back! I have missed you. I will add you to my prayer list.

I have prayed and will continue to do so, and ask our Savior to place His healing upon you and your husband and bless you with the finances to afford medicine, fuel, and food.  Though we do not understand His ways, His love never fails, even in the waiting.

@marvelloustime Amen to everything our sister said.

Big hug for you, along with my prayers. :bighug:

  5. This poem has helped people consider a new perspective...getting a glimpse of God's point-of-view, rather than their own.

I dedicate this to my dear sister @marvelloustime who is going through a horrendous chapter in her life right now. To any who would take the time to encourage her and pray for her, I would be most grateful.

No matter how bleak it looks

The Sovereign Lord can make all things beautiful again.

New every morning GREAT is His faithfulness!

Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

    Jeremiah's Hope
    Because of the loving devotion of the LORD we are not consumed, for His mercies never fail. They are new every morning;

Great is Your faithfulness! “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “therefore I will hope in Him.” (Lamentations 3:22-24)

But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

@Abby-Joy:amen: I love this chapter! Thanks for posting it.

The Lord led me to write a poem based on the above verse-7

I hope it is okay if I share it here @angels4u :)

    An Earthen Vessel

    I'm just an earthen vessel
But I carry a great treasure
    God's Spirit dwells within me
And my purpose is His pleasure

    Although I often fail Him
When I call upon His Name
His Blood is greater than my sin
    And takes away my shame

One day I'll live in Heaven
Where He'll dry my every tear

But till I reach the other side
    I'll love
     and serve Him here

"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us" 2 Corinthians 4:7

"Know you not that you are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?" 1 Corinthians 3:16

“The blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:7,9

"And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." Revelation 21:4

"We love him, because he first loved us." 1 John 4:19

"Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him." John 14:23

"Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ." Colossians 3:24

  9. @marvelloustime I understand. And so does God. He knows your heart. He knows you better than you know yourself, as that video I posted says.

His word promises that He will not permit us to go through more than we can bear. I know there are times that this does not seem to be the case. Like now, for example.

I think these are the times we can only "walk by faith, not sight."

When we pray, "Lord, I believe. Help Thou my unbelief."

  10. @marvelloustime I am overjoyed! The Lord be praised!!! This is such wonderful news, precious sister.

Especially after just having read your most recent prayer request. It has been so hard to watch you go through hardship upon hardship with barely a moment to catch your breath.

This praise report is a breath of fresh air! God is merciful. He hears our cries and answers our prayers.

  11. Valentine's Day is when we can express our love and appreciation to one another. But to those who are lonely out there and feeling no one cares about you on this day- I have great news.:) Jesus Christ loved you so much that He sacrificed His own life for you upon a cross. He died for your sins so that you could go to Heaven one day and have a personal relationship with Him right now.

Here is a poem I found that says it well.
