  1. That is a wonderful story of Christ's love and power. I love this!!!! God bless you for sharing it. When people trample on our feelings we tend to forget that Christ did die for them too. Our Savior can bring about that precious change in anyon if we pray and step out of the way.
  2. WOW!! what a powerful testimony of what God can do!!! God bless you for posting this.
  3. ok, for one, I did not know that 39 was advanced age, lol. can you not just tell them that you will not do the test? they can't refuse youany other service if you do not have the test, can they? they obviously don't realize that you would never terminate the life of your child. (wow, number 8)
  4. I smile as I read your posts. I can't help but to be "proud" of you for your stand and your concerns about your relationship with God and Sara. You really don't see that much in young men your age. Dating/courting has changed alot and is not Biblical these days. God has a plan for your life and you are working towards that. Please understand that what we believe to be God's plan for us is not always His plan but one we superimpose on ourselves to be God's (if that makes sence). I know that you will keep on your knees about it in prayer to our Father in Heaven. And I know that you will win the heart of Sara and her mother in God's timing. One other quick note, if you have a moment one day look up on the www.duggarfamily.com website and check out their oldest son's testimony about his marriage. I have a 3 year old son and I pray that he is as concerned about his relationship with God and being a leader as you are at 18 years old. God Bless you.
  5. We all have much to be thankful for!!! I love this post sister. I am thankful for Jesus dying on the cross to save me from my sins. I am thankful that God has continued the work He has begun in me, my husband and our marriage, as I thought it was over. I am thankful for my precious son who is a brightness in this dark world. I am thankful that we have food and shelter and all provisions. I am thankful for God's timing. I am thankful for the Bible, our instructions for how to survive this crazy earth until we are called home. and much more!!!
  6. Anita, I should have piped up earlier, although it seems that you have tried nearly everything. I work for an attorney in Missouri. I know that things differ from state to state, but in Missouri, you can get a divorce without an attorney, you can do it yourself. The big thing is that you and your husband should agree to all terms. On our "courts" website (www.mo.courts.gov)there is a section that says represent yourself (paraphrased) when you click on that it will take you to a survey to take on weather you are "qualified" to represent yourself. It will always tell you that you are not qualified, but that does not matter you can proceed. Then it should take you to the place where you can download the Petition or Application for Dissolution of Marriage. You would fill out the paperwork and take that with the filing fee (in Missouri it is $97 for civil cases)to the courthouse and they will file it. THey will ask if you want your husband to be served or if you want to deliver it, there will be a service fee if you want him served. It will have to be on file for 30 days and then they will set a court date. You will show up to court and state your case and you should be able to sign a final decree that day should the judge order the dissolution of your marriage. It still costs some money but significantly less than an attorney doing it. I'm not sure about legal aid and any cost or timelines. I hope this info will help some. If I can help in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me.
  7. "I AM" is what God is for all of us. This sounds like an exact statement that Oprah made on her show one time. To me it sounds New Age. I think our main objective to any reading should be to pray that God gives us discernment and go from there.
  8. When I was young, I remember going to church with my grandparents in their little country church. I enjoyed it so much as a kid. It had an outhouse and no A/C and hard benches. It had wasps and hand fans and such too. The people were very hospitable and loved people very much. I liked going there more than the fancy church I went to with my parents. I loved how EVERYONE would sing at the top of their lungs, even if they couldn't sing. They gave fruit baskets at Christmas too!! Very fond memories. Thank you, Lord, for the simpler times. One day we may have to revert back to those times to live on this earth, who knows.
  9. He is my Protector, my Hope, my Salvation, my Guide, my Friend. Jesus is everything. Glory to God!!! Thank you Jesus!!
  10. Amen, stormy!! Well said. Thank the Lord for this insight to you. He is soooo awsome. I tend to have a rebellion problem, cleverly disguised as anything else. It is awsome to think about when we give it all to God, our heart does change and we become more like Him.
  11. So do you practice this in every area of life equally? When you are sick, do you not take medicine etc. etc.? Mostly, no. I am not citicizing you, I am just trying to understand. So why would you single out having children with this approach, and not all areas of life> Huh? Oh wait. My answer of 'Mostly, no,' was to the second question, about whether I take medicine when I'm sick. Mostly I don't. I do try to put as much of my life as possible into the LORD's hands. Not perfect on that, I know. But He's brought me through a lot that I sure couldn't have done in my own strength or logic. Oh. OK so you are consistent across all areas of life. You don't take any action, you just let God act Well, sort of. I mean, I don't just stand around. I do find that, for me at least, when I try to 'help things along' I tend to mess it up. I guess to sum it all up, I believe that the LORD - who knows all and knows the future, which I don't know - is much better equipped to map out the steps of my life than I am. well said and amen. zaidenmom
  12. I find that song worship tends to help. I like to get up and do the motions to children's church songs like Father Abraham. It gets me tickled and blesses me out!!! Oh, and it makes me fell young, which is nice too. Plus my 2 1/2 year old son likes to watch his mom act silly and have fun. zaidenmom
  13. I have heard it said that Oprah is one of the most influencial people in the U.S. I think that is probably true. I used to enjoy watching her show, but after hearing that New Age/Earth stuff I decided to not watch any more. And then I found that she endorses Brack Obama. She is dangerous now. I pray for her salvation, what a testimony that would be. zaidenmom
  14. Thank God for your salvation, Karen. What a blessing you are to others through your past trials. An awsome testimony of what He and only He can do in us. zaidenmom
