  1. Why people think that the antichrist is a person? the Bible teach us that is a religious and political power; First of all, we can read in the book of 1 John, plainly says there are "many antichrists" (1 John 2:18) and a "spirit of antichrist" (1 John 4:3). John also wrote that any person who denies the true doctrine of Jesus Christ is "a deceiver and an antichrist" (2 John 7,9). I know Paul called the Antichrist, "the man of sin ... the son of perdition" (2 Thess. 2:3). It is primarily because of this verse that millions have come to believe that there will be only one super-sinister Mr. Sin who will rise to power after the Rapture. There are other equally inspired statements in the Bible which parallel Paul's expression, "the man of sin." Prophecy also refers to this same Antichrist as the "little horn" (Daniel 7:8), the "beast" (Revelation 13:1), "the mystery of iniquity" (2 Thessalonians 2:7), and "that Wicked" (2 Thess. 2:8). Do all of these expressions refer to one evil person who will rise to power after the Rapture? No, we need to read more deep into the word of God. Most agree that Daniel
  2. I watch a clip on u tube that claimed that the coat of arms of Prince Charles contain all the symbols associated with the antichrist. It claims that he is heavily involved with the Freemasons and hopes to be the sovereign of the European Union. What do you think of this idea that he is the antichrist?
  3. In John 3:16, it says for God so love the world that he gave his only begotten Son..... it says God so love the world, and not only believers... It also states that While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us... it means he loves every one... and before you became a believer, you were an unbeliver and Christ heard your prayers to save you
  4. Eze 38:10 Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: It shall come to pass in that day, that things shall come into thy mind, and thou shalt devise an evil device: Eze 38:11 and thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell securely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates; Eze 38:12 to take the spoil and to take the prey; to turn thy hand against the waste places that are now inhabited, and against the people that are gathered out of the nations, that have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the middle of the earth The war of Gog is fought for the riches of Israel. Israel has not been rich enough yet for the nations to desire the spoils of the land yet. The recent find of natural gas is just the first step in making Israel a rich nation, i think they will find lots of oil in a world greedy for oil.
  5. The premillenial scheme of eschatology was developed by John Nelson Darby who taught it to two very influential men,Cyrus Scofield and Dwight Moody. An inappropriate appeal to authority doesn't change the facts. One does not have to believe in premillennial eschatology to believe in the rapture. I am making the point that the concept of a rapture did not come from John Nelson Darby, it came from Paul in 1thes 4:17. some one can believe in a post- tribulational premillennial rapture. I am ok with that as long as they believe in a rapture where believers can look forward to the resurrection. You should have made that plain from the first. Say what you mean and quit dithering around. have a nice day and blessings

  7. I am rather surprised that some christians do not belief that the Old Testament contains prophesy by the OT prophets, even to the extent of proposing two writers for the book of Isaiah. The Lord Jesus himself says that the scriptures were written about him and the fact that these prophets have their prophecy fulfilled and the Matthew writes again and again that Jesus came to fulfill many prophesies in the old testament. Why is it that some in this forum have trouble acknowledging that prophecies are written throughout the old testament? If the Bible is edited to cut off these prophecies, one might as well read Shakespeare. What is the problem with believeing prophesy? is it that it involves the supernatural? Or is it just an academic argument? Oh there are many that believe in prophecy but they have ears that do not hear. It is those who lack discernmrnt and believe the errors of John Nelson Darby when it comes to Daniel, Revelation and a rapture. John Nelson Darby believed in prophesy-literally, thats how he came to the conclusion of a rapture. Its not in the OT, Its in the NT, not in Daniel nor Rev 1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first; 1Th 4:17 to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Caught up is rupturo in Latin, hence rapture Rapture is taught by Paul in 1Thes 417, he Latin word is Rapturo hence the word rapture. If you dun like the word, call it caught up as the english word is in 1Thes 4:17. Whether yu want to believe it is pre or post tribulation is another matter. Thats a whole different argument. Rapture is not taught by John Nelson Darby, it is taught by Paul in 1Thes4:17.

  9. Jesus came and never changed one iota of the OT. Thus saying that all of it is true. He never said that it was 2 Isaiahs, he said it is one prophet Isaiah. thus no two prophets
  10. Thus the tendency to phrase prophecy in the form of a question, so that one can claim ambiguity when pressed. In case of the afore mentioned books of the OT, the Gospel writers have affirmed their accuracy and in the case of Isaiah and the book of Psalms, even the Lord Jesus have alluded to their accuracy.
  11. If prophesy does not pass the 2 test, the prophet is a false prophet and should be put to death.
  12. It all came from the German school of thought that rejects all notion of prophesy and miracles in the Bible. They even propose a second author for Isaiah because they think that Isaiah could not have possibly known Cyrus's name before he was even concieved, therefore they attribute the second part of Isaiah to a different author called Deutero-Isaiah who wrote history after the captivity of Babylon. All the academic rubbish to assault the word of God. ....leaving us all free to spout whatever we can make up and call it "prophesy", just so long as we can proof-text it, eh? You Dont have to throw the baby out with the dirty water. the bible itself tells you how to discern between the true and false prophesy: Deu 13:1 If there arise in the midst of thee a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and he give thee a sign or a wonder, Deu 13:2 and the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; Deu 13:3 thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or unto that dreamer of dreams: for Jehovah your God proveth you, to know whether ye love Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Deu 13:4 Ye shall walk after Jehovah your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. Deu 13:5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death, because he hath spoken rebellion against Jehovah your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed thee out of the house of bondage, to draw thee aside out of the way which Jehovah thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put away the evil from the midst of thee. Deu 18:20 But the prophet, that shall speak a word presumptuously in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die. Deu 18:21 And if thou say in thy heart, How shall we know the word which Jehovah hath not spoken? Deu 18:22 when a prophet speaketh in the name of Jehovah, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which Jehovah hath not spoken: the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously, thou shalt not be afraid of him. the test as to whether a prophesy is sent from God is 1) it does not contradict the commandments of God ie it does not contradict the truth of the bible. 2) it comes to pass which means that the prophecy fulfills exactly what has been written. No need for great debates as to what is true or false prophesy,
  13. In he Jewish custom, the Bar Mitzvah done at the age of about 12 years old would indicate that the child has come of age and he is asked to read the scriptures to indicate that he is a man and able to discern spiritual truths. I suppose thats as close to the age of accountability as one can get. I remember a story where Jesus accompanied his parent to the Temple and his father thought he was walking with the women, and when the women caught up with the men, Jesus was not with them, and both the parents thought he was missing, later to find him discussing the scriptures in "his father's house". The fact that Jesus was walking with the women indicate that he was not a man yet to be in the company of the men. No insult intended to women... i just read the sciptures as written.
  14. there is nothing I have found that actually says that babies are going up with the Rapture.... some believe that children fall under the covering of their parents, so if the parents are saved, the child will follow, but... if the parent is not save, the child is also lost (unles they have taken the Lord as their savior..... some believe that children (until the age of what people call the accountability) will be taken up then they have to make their own choice if past that age..... the only thing I can think might shed some light is that if a person is a believer, and they are married to an unbeliever, the unbeliever is sanctified under the believer..... mike Thanks Mike I never could really understand this concept.. being sanctified does not mean that unbelieving husband is saved... that would rather go against the concept of a personal salvation and personal accountability of sin...
  15. You have declared that they are innocent, why would GOD declare them guilty? Because they have inherited the sin nature when Adam fell. Rom 3:23 for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God; All means even babies Seet
