The scope of the parable of the seed sown, is to show that the beginnings of the gospel would be small, but its latter end would greatly increase; in this way the work of grace in the heart, the kingdom of God within us, would be carried on. In the soul where grace truly is, it will grow really; though perhaps at first not to be discerned, it will at last come to great strength and usefulness. The preaching of the gospel works like leaven in the hearts of those who receive it. The leaven works certainly, so does the word, yet gradually. It works silently, and without being seen, Mr 4:26 to 29, yet strongly; without noise, for so is the way of the Spirit, but without fail. Thus it was in the world. Now, Noah's biblical "fame" was for only one thing... The Flood. Not just for a flood, but THE Flood. The flood that came and swept them ALL away. Jesus is pointing to the flood of judgment as an analogy to His return. Jesus, the Son of God, saw, and refered to the Flood as a true account of history. If Jesus points to the flood, then it happened just as written about in genesis. As a scientist, I read what God says, and I then ask myself: "With God's word as the axiom (truth), what can I expect to observe about the situation I'm studying? If the observations accumulate according to the axiomatic expectations, then I keep asking questions... in order to find, and describe more interesting detail. There has been nothing found in any observations, or anything in this thread, that disagrees (contradictions) with the flood account in genesis. There are several fine links in this thread that will lead the readers to scientific summaries, and full scientific papers ... enough to answer all of the questions posed here, and more. Experiments have consistently shown that compositions aligning various focus elements with the rebatements, and diagonals within a golden rectangle, win many more awards, and sales of their work.
