  1. That's right, let's blame God for His plans for creation instead of man's abuse of CFC releases amongst other abuses. Psa 2:1 Why have the nations raged and the peoples are meditating on vanity? Psa 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves; yea, the rulers have plotted together against Jehovah and His Anointed, saying, Psa 2:3 We will break their bands in two, and throw off their cords from us. Psa 2:4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall mock at them. Psa 2:5 Then He will speak to them in His anger, and He will terrify them in His wrath; (LITV, my emphasis added) I can't wait for The Great Day of The Lord so that He will vindicate Himself against the stupid vanities of man in his natural condition. A side thought: I wonder if others have noticed that Psalm quote really being fleshed out in our time? Something to ponder.
  2. To angelique and anyone else, I'm not sure if you have heard about this website but it was created by Miriam Neff, widow of Bob Neff of Moody Radio for ministry to widows. http://www.widowconnection.com/WC/Navigation.html I hope that it is a help and resource to everyone.
  3. I wonder if the mitocondrial DNA which is only passed by female (Moms to their young whether male or female) is a key created by God for us? It seems females have mitocondrial DNA that is somewhat close to Eve's. This DNA has always surprised me. Hence my post interest. Sleep well all.
  4. Hey a fellow Tennessean!I love Moody radio. Where you at in TN, bloodbought? I love Moody too. Excellent folks at WMBW. It's been a lifeline for me since last December. I'm in Meigs county. Ah! Excellent. Just northeast of me. Small world. I had to work and train a new guard and missed the concert. I didn't know he was a fellow brother-in-Christ until about 9:30 last night then accidentally tuned to wrong Christian station on an old analog dial radio for another one and a half hrs before discovering error . How was the concert? I searched for a stream of it at Moody main website but no joy.

  6. Moody Radio will be broadcasting this Saturday night at 8 pm EST "Front Row Live" concert featuring Avalon and Casting Crowns at the Moody church. One can listen online too if you don't have a radio station in your area; see the link. Enjoy if you can.
  7. feeling down, frustrated, angry, etc in the Christian walk especially in these rough days. a book by Michael Card "A Sacred Sorrow" It's about the lost language of laments in this fallen broken world. He addresses the two main complaints we all have: God! Where are You? (doubts about Presence) God if You love me, why? (doubts about His loving-kindness - Hebrew hesed.) If you are in the wilderness of life, this just might help you find the way through to a closer relationship with the Lord.
  8. Angelique, are there any widows in your church that you can talk to and fellowship with and grieve alongside with? If so please seek them out. Nothing beats that intimate small group fellowship that you can open up to. Plus you can be an indirect blessing to them, especially the elder widows, to allow them to minister to you with their wisdom and experience and comfort. You all can support each other as the Body of Christ should be doing. I know I'm just a newbie here in your eyes but please don't forget about your fellow widow sisters in your church. Your pastor might know of another church group who can help you out if no widows in your church. My belated condolences to you, my sister-in-Christ, beloved by God.
  9. This matches me and I know how you feel since I've been going through this same junk for a long while. No real life fellowship with brethren anymore for more than 15-30 mins or so on Sunday night. I work 3-11pm during the week so I miss out on the weeknight stuff that the church does. Seems I'm the odd man out. I need that daily fellowship. Isn't that what the early church did? Act 2:46 And continuing steadfastly with one mind day by day in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they shared food in gladness and simplicity of heart, These guys and gals didn't want to be apart from each other. Today yikes like pulling teeth to get any time on Sunday night, the only night off for me outside the service time. Are there any church doors open for us swing-shift and 2nd-3rd shift guys and gals? It seems almost all churches are oriented around 1st shift with weekends off only peeps. I miss my spiritual family. Sorry if in some peeps minds I hijacked the thread but, paws, I think we both are feeling the symptoms of lack of RL fellowship. Loneliness during the week! Do I matter to anyone in the Body during the week? It's not quite self-pity party but that deep-down hunger to be with God's family. BTW the early morning time after shift for me is the hardest spiritually since noone is up and Enemy is attacking the most. I wonder how God had setup the temple/city guards and Levites night schedules in those ancient days long ago? I wonder if it was like the military's schedule for watches after midnight: 2-4 hrs long. Sorry if I spoke too much.
  10. Hmmm good thought Aleksander hmmm food for thought.
  11. Sorry, I edited my above post but hope you find that NT verse. BTW, Solomon wasn't jaded. He was given wisdom from God so he tried out many many things and gave us a report of that trial in Ecclesiastes. Hence the result is: Everything done under the sun without God as central worship is vanity, useless, worthless.
  12. Huh ASV, ESV and MKJV use that word. Strange, compared to (LITV) I returned and saw under the sun that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the mighty; nor even bread to the wise; nor even riches to the men of discernment; nor even favor to knowing men. For time and occurrence happen to them all. I guess they translate 'occurrence' with chance. Hmmm Reason for edit I'm not good on Hebrew but trusting the dictionaries I can semi-understand why translated chance. From dictionary: H6294 פּגע pega‛ peh'-gah From H6293; impact (casual): - chance, occurrent.
