There are numerous historical, linguistic and archaeological evidences that back up the veracity of the Bible. For example, it is quite easy to walk where Jesus, King David, Solomon, etc. walked in the Bible, and there are often even churches built on the most famous sites. In addition, there are literally thousands of manuscripts from the New Testament that prove our current Bible is accurate. Lastly, the Bible has been proven over and over again archaeologically. In fact, I know of two scholars who went to Israel with the express purpose of disproving the Bible and ended up becoming believers in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Called "Ram In A Thicket," the 16.5 inch figurine (which some say looks more like a goat) is made from gold, silver, copper, lapis lazuli, red limestone, and bits of shell. By: Marshall Ramsey II, Worthy News U.S. Correspondent KNOCKNAREA, Ireland (WorthyNews) -- Archaeologists at IT Sligo have found the bones of an adult and a child in a tiny cave high on Knocknarea mountain near the town of the same name. Researchers discovered a total of 13 small bones and bone fragments in an almost inaccessible cave last November. Three were from a child and 10 from the adult. They included foot bones and fragments of skull. The adult was aged 30 to 39 and the child of four to six years. While it was not possible to determine the gender, radiocarbon dating has shown that they are some 5,500 years old, making them among the earliest human bones found in the county. Interestingly, it appears that the two are not related, that is, they are not a parent/sibling combination. The adult was dated to be about 5,500 years old whereas the child about 300 years younger. While there is no definite proof, it is possible that the mountain-top grave is an ancestral family tomb, as families of that time, once a piece of land had been reached, settled in the area, and started up communities. LINK TO JESUS So what about the link to Jesus Christ? The answer lies in the meanings of the name. According to the Placenames Database of Ireland, Knocknarea (Conc na Riabh in Irish) means 'hill of the stripes.' This is a reference to Jesus receiving the stripes on his back during his crucifixion, notably mentioned in the book of Isaiah, chapter 53: "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: The chastisement of our peace was upon him; AND WITH HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED."(emphasis mine) However, this in itself is not enough. More information must be obtained before making a concrete link between Knocknarea and the Lord Jesus. While the Placenames Database of Ireland lists the meaning of Knocknarea as "hill of the stripes," other possibilities exist. P.W. Joyce suggested the name meant "hill of the executions." This would be spelled Cnoc na Riaghadh. This would be a reference to the Lord Jesus being executed, a.k.a. crucified, on Golgotha, also called Calvary. "And after that they had mocked him, they took the robe off from him, and put his own raiment on him, and led him away to crucify him. And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull, And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots:..." Another possible etymology is "hill of the kings," Conc na Riogha. This refers to Jesus Christ being King of the Jews as mentioned in Matthew 27. Yet one more meaning of Knocknarea has been proposed that links it to Jesus Christ. This one is "hill of the moon." This reference comes from a BBC article in which Knocknarea is in mentioned regarding a cairn that let light in from the moon at mid-winter. This feature is highly reminiscent of the Great Pyramid of Giza in Egypt. This last reference is a bit tricky and references an Akkadian deity. Sin was the name of an Akkadian deity and was seen as a god of the moon. Second Corinthians 5:21 says that God made Jesus to be sin for us, even though Jesus himself knew no sin. Now concerning the word moon. The Irish word for moon is gealach. As you can see, it does not match the Irish spellings for Knocknarea. However due to its astronomical significance, it has received the title "hill of the moon." This provides a fourth link between Jesus and Knocknarea. The evidence is clear. Knocknarea in Ireland was so named to provide a direct link to Jesus Christ, that he should be killed, and that it should be for us and not for himself. As you may have heard, the tomb of a previously unknown Egyptian pharaoh, Woseribre Senebkay, was found at South Abydos in Sohag province about 300 miles south of Cairo, Egypt. Woseribre (also spelled Waseribre) is believed to be a king of a forgotten Abydos dynasty that ruled from about 1650-1600 B.C. According to an article at www.discovery.com, the tomb was found by people from the University of Pennsylvania working with Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities. 'It rested in a four-chambered tomb amidst the fragmented debris of his coffin, funerary mask and canopic chest. Such chests were used to contain the organs of an individual.' The evidence offered that Waseribre Sebenkay is Judah, son of Israel, is in the name. A was in ancient Egypt is often called a scepter. In Genesis 49, when the patriarch Israel was giving blessings to his children, he said this concerning Judah: "The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be." As is common among ancient cultures, vowels are not used when spelling. This can give a wide variety of spellings of the same name. In this case, Woseribre could be spelled Waseribre, Waseriber, Wasreibre, and others. Another feature of ancient cultures, including some modern ones in northern Africa, is to worship ones ancestors. Occasionally, these ancestors would be deified, perhaps being referred to by other names. In the case of Israel, he was called Kronos by the Greeks.(3) According to the Phoenician historian Sanchuniathon, Kronos (called Israel by them) had a special son named Zhe-ut. Zhe-ut is a variation of the Greek word Zeus, both of which are variations of the word Yehudah, or Judah. This establishes a link that sometimes real-life people take on mythological names, whether the name was taken by themselves or given them by later generations. Judah also came to be known by other names, including Djehuty and Thoth. The father of Thoth was Re/Ra, the Egyptian sun god. As Thoth is Judah, and Thoth is the son of Ra, this would make Re Israel. Take a look back at the name of the newly discovered pharaoh, Woseribre. Woser, or Wasre would be rendered, given the information above, scepter of Re. Judah, when receiving his father's blessing was associated with the scepter. The scepter was a staff that signaled that the bearer of the staff was the new head of the tribe. Judah, who is Thoth, and identified with the scepter, thus takes on the name Woser, or Wasre. The next part of Waseribre Senebkay's first name is ibre. Ib is likened to the Muslim word ibn, which means son. With Re having previously being identified as Israel, ibre is thus rendered "son of Israel." Combined with the first part Waser, Waseribre, is rendered "scepter of Israel, the son of Israel." This is a clear identification of Waseribre as Judah ben Israel. The word Senebkay also points to Judah. Judah is identified Genesis with a lion. Lions are known for power and strength. Seneb in Egyptian is rendered power/strength. This would give the interpretation of Wasreibre Senebkay as "scepter of Israel, the son of Israel, the lion." I am unsure as to what the suffix 'kay' means, however, it appears that it would not affect the meaning of the name Woseribre Senebkay, and its identification as Judah the son of Israel. www.discovery.com contributed to this report.

It was found at the Kami-Goten archaeological site on August 8, 2013. The mold, a double-ringed pommel and a straight blade, has no bearing in Japan, or even on the Korean peninsula, cultural property officials say. The Shiga Prefectural Association for Cultural Heritage said the finds from the site likely date from 350 B.C. to 300 A.D. Japanese archaeologists were surprised to find the mold, which bears a strong resemblance to those used in the far reaches of northern China. The two siltstone molds, designed to lay on top of each other, are each 30 centimeters (cm) long, 9 cm wide, and 4 cm thick. The design of the molds, which were found lying on top of one another, was made so that the blade smith could cast both the handle and the blade as a single piece. Harutago Odagi, as associate professor of archaeology at Tenri University, says the saw-tooth patterns on the handle suggest that the mold must have been fashioned in Japan. "The artefacts, likely modeled after bronze daggers of northern China, were probably made in Japan, although how the design got here is a mystery," he said. One possible match for the mold is the "slender bronze dagger." It was introduced to Japan from Korea, which the Japanese in turn began to specialize in making them. This seems a possibility, however the earliest date given for the find, 350 BC, conflicts with the time period given by the U.S. National Gallery of Art, which gives the Chinese Bronze Age as between about 2,000 BC and 771 BC, a more than 400 year difference. Another possible match are the Ordos daggers, bronze artifacts manufactured during the Spring and Autumn and Warring States Period in China, from 770 BC to 221 BC. The date of the find falls within the time frame, and the double-edged blade and single mold design also fit. However the style of the blade and the handle does not match up. The most likely candidate seems to be the acinaces, or akinaka dagger, used by the ancient Scythians, Medes, Persians, and Greeks. This seems to fit the design of the mold the best. Plus, if one takes a look at the shape of the blade, it seems to have a Romanesque pugio appearance. The pugio was used by Roman soldiers as a side arm, perhaps as a secondary weapon if the sword and shield were not available. One possible reason for the discovery is that sometime between the fall of the Grecian and Persian empires and the rise of the Roman empire is that (Roman?) traders somehow made their way east and traded with Hindus in India, which in the 1st century AD they began a cultural expansion east, reaching ports in Sri Lanka, Burma, and Malaysia, trading goods, until the artifact had reached Takashima. Although this does appear to be a stretch, it does fit the details available to us. Another possible explanation is that the dagger mold somehow made its way over land until it reached China and Korea, and from there made its way to Japan. However, at this time the mystery remains. It rises almost 32 feet (10 m) high, has a circumference of about 230 feet (70 m), and weighs an estimated 60,000 tons. As a comparison, Stonehenge is only half as big around, the tallest stones don't reach as high, and the structure weighs more than most modern-day battleships.(1) It was first detected during a sonar survey of the southwestern portion of the Sea of Galilee in 2003.(1) Yitzhak Paz of the Israeli Antiquities Authority and Ben-Gurion University believes the structure could date back more than 4,000 years. "The more logical possibility is that it belongs to the third millennium B.C., because there are other megalithic phenomena [from that time] that are close by," he said in an interview with LiveScience.(2) Paz also said that the structure indicates that those who made it were a "well-organized society, with planning skills and economic ability." What is interesting about this building is that it belonged to Eber, the father of all Hebrews. Eber, or Heber, is the 4x-great grandfather of Abraham, the father of Isaac and grandfather of Jacob, who changed his name to Israel. Eber is also the great grandson of Shem, the son of Noah, from whom we get the name Sumeria, which means "land of Shem's light." The genealogical and historical information in the Bible has long been disputed, with some even questioning whether or not it was all fake. It is a known fact that the Assyrians (named after Asshur, a descendant of Shem) put the letters 'Gh' and 'Kh' in front of names that sounded like they began with vowels.
