  1. (I got a new poem today) Forever. When I think about forever ; my eternity Up There, it is getting lighter, my suffering down here. One thousand years are for You but a day; be patient and endure to the end, I hear You say. I've got a glimpse of Heaven, Where forever I'll praise Your Name, There it will be no sorrow, no agony, tears or pain. Thank You for Golgotha, where You paid for my eternity ; for Your cross, Your life, Your blood and agony. You live today, Lord, and forever and ever; praying for me, as You want us to be together. 24.03.2022.
  2. Hi All, I assume it's been a rough year for everyone, including my family. I lost my job due to Covid19 during the summer and after thinking about how to continue, I made a decision to create my own wooden cross model since jewelry has been my passion for a long time. I got a friend from Finland to help me, and the first batch of the cross is now finally finished and I was able to add it to Amazon marketplace. I'm not sure where to start marketing this necklace, does anyone here have ideas where to start? Here's the link to the product if you're interested: https://www.amazon.de/dp/B08HXPFTCH/ God Bless you all, Maria
  3. Before anyone asks the Christian aspect is in the pacifier being the cross made of diamond shapes. It is also made this way to illustrate, "he is not here for he is alive." I will also be putting more Christian themes into this. I will be working on this during the holiday week end. I would really like advice on how to render head hair a little more accurately. I worked on it more since I took this photo. I will update once I have the trees and leafs colored. I don't have anything done for hair except for the fur on his paws and a small amount on his tail. I also did a thin cover of home-mixed gesso over the cloths and did that over with a better color pencil texture. I will do more explanation of the story of this piece once I have it done and I made the face portion of this my avatar across the forums. I would really like help on some ideas for making the hair on his head better. . Anyone think I should use a thin layer of paint of the colors I will be using? That way I can scratch in some fly away hairs and get a bit more detail. This is on like three layers of my home-mixed gusso and I can apply another layer to make more realistic hair if necessary. . . Not sure if its my extensions, but could not find a way to upload a picture. FB linked image
  4. The Cross This is the cross, both just and true, That I should give My life for you. More than tears and blood alone, More than a life or broken bones. Through the pain, beyond all fear, I took those steps to make it clear. The Father’s love, so deep and wide, That He would give His Son to die: To suffer loss and feel despair… To lead the way and meet you there. A place of peace and joy abounding: Many a voice in praise resounding. It was for you, I bled and cried… The curtain rent to open wide. That you may come into My throne, And know My Father as your own. The price of sin and death was paid, When on the cross My life I gave. But now you must stand up and run, From sin and strife, deceptive ‘fun’. Into My light and joy and peace… Now is the time: Proclaim Release. (originally given to me in 2003)
  5. What role does the Cross play in your walk with Christ? Have you ever found yourself worshipping the Cross instead of Christ?
  6. Luke 24:1-3 - "Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulcher, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulcher. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus." Observation: TRULY, ITS TIME FOR ME TO STOP LOOKING FOR THE LIVING AMONG THE DEAD. IT'S TIME FOR ME TO STOP WANDERING AROUND IN THE CEMETERY OF SIN, SICKNESS, AND FAILURE AND TO STEP INTO RESURRECTION LIFE! AS A RESURRECTED CREATURE, I AM NO ACCIDENT GOING SOMEWHERE TO HAPPEN. MY LIFE ISN'T JUST A LOOSE WEB OF EVENTS AND CIRCUMSTANCES. GOD HAS SPECIFIC PLANS FOR ME. Romans 1:17 - "For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, But he who is put right with God shall live by faith." "From faith to faith" means we are to begin and finish in faith. We are to start in faith and stand in faith until that which we are believing for arrives. We go from "faith to faith" not faith to feelings. Faith is a seed. When we are dealing in faith, there is a timing for the manifestation. It takes time sometimes for our faith to pull things into the natural realm. That's why the bible says it's "from faith to faith." We have to stay in faith even when we don't see any changes. In our faith, we have to get above seeing or feeling something. Observation: FAITH PLEASES GOD BECAUSE IT MAKES A WAY FOR HIM TO WORK IN MY LIFE. IT CONNECTS ME TO HIS SUPERNATURAL ANOINTING. LIKE ABRAHAM I STAGGER NOT AT THE PROMISE OF GOD THROUGH UNBELIEF; BUT AM STRONG IN FAITH GIVING GLORY TO GOD! Song of Solomon 3:3 - "The watchmen that patrol the city found me and I asked, 'Have you seen my beloved?"' THE WATCHMEN, WHO GOD HAS SET ON THE WALLS OF JERUSALEM, FIND YOU BECAUSE THEY ARE ALWAYS LOOKING OUT FOR HIS CITY. YOU ASK THEM FOR NEWS OF YOUR BELOVED (JESUS), BUT THEY CANNOT TELL YOU WHERE HE IS. YOU SEARCH FOR YOUR BELOVED, BUT NO ONE CAN TELL YOU WHERE HE IS BUT HE HIMSELF. Isaiah 62:6,12 - "I have set watchmen upon your walls, O Jerusalem, who will never hold their peace day or night; you who are His servants that put the Lord in remembrance of His promises, keep not silence. And they shall call them the holy people, the redeemed of the Lord." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRYhttp://afministry.ning.com
  7. "Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more the me is not worthy of me; and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds His life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it." - Matthew 10:37-39 Many believe for Jesus' salvation, but never walk in the total freedom of the cross. In the New Testament, "kairos" means ' the appointed time in the purpose of God", the time when God acts; for example in Mark 1:15: "And saying, "The time (kairos) is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe the gospel.'" DIVINE IMPARTATION FOR STRENGTH In Luke 22:43 after Jesus had resolved within His own heart for the Father's will to be done in His life, we see that "An angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him." It is possible for us to be granted a divine impartation of strength to embrace the cross today. If we are to achieve anything in our lives that bears eternal fruit, we must first deny ourselves and embrace the cross (God's PURPOSE for our lives) just as Christ Jesus modeled for us. The anointing to embrace the cross (God's CALLING on our life) involves prayer, sanctification, and intimacy with God. There is no alternative way to embrace the cross. In Matthew 27:32 Simon the Cyrenian was "compelled to bear His cross." Is Jesus calling us to do the same today? COMPELLED TO BEAR OUR CROSS Matthew 27:32 - "Now as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: Him they compelled to bear His cross." "Compelled (Greek: Aggareuo, Strongs 29) literally translated -- to be pressed into public service or compelled to "go". The word for "bear" (Greek; Airo, Strong's 142), literal translation -- to take up or to take away. The call is still true for us today just as it was for Simon the Cyrenian. To "take up our cross" we must come to the place of death. We must die to ourselves and to our worldly dreams and fully embrace the plans and blueprints that God has written for us in heaven. When Simon and Jesus took the cross to Calvary, "they were come (together) unto a place called Golgotha" (Matthew 27:33). Prophetically, Simon the Cyrenian represents each of us: We must all come to the place of the cross and die to our agendas and carnal thoughts for our lives and ministries. We must allow the Father's will to be done in our lives. We must all come to our own personal Golgothas. Just as Jesus was with the Cyrenian, He will be with each of us at the time and place of our personal death to self. "Jesus then said to his disciples, 'If anyone wishes to be a follower of mine, he must leave self behind; he must take up his cross and come with me. Whoever cares for his own safety is lost; but if a man will let himself be lost for my sake, he will find his true self.'" - Mattthew 16:24-25 NEB COMING UNDER ATTACK The enemy of our soul does not want us to embrace the Cross of Christ. The warfare can be tremendous for us as we embrace the cross (death to self). When we approach the place of surrender and death to self we will also come under attack from the evil one. Fortunately, Jesus has already fought this battle for each of us. The enemy will bellow and scream at us every time we fall short. When we fail to fully embrace the cross, he will illuminate our shortcomings. Picking up our cross is a process. If we fall down -- get up just as Jesus did. Emulate Christ -- dying to yourself and worldly dreams is a process. Even the Son of God walked through this process. It takes time and intimacy with the Lord -- laying down our life is a process. "Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple." - Luke 14:27 Taking up your cross is not a popular message. When Jesus shared this message, many left Him, and later reviled and cursed Him. The message of the cross was one reason why Jesus was beaten, afflicted, smote, reviled spit on, crucified, and killed. When we die to manmade methods, ideas, and formulas, and begin to truly minister in the pattern of heaven, only then can God truly begin to release the Kingdom into our life. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  8. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. - Colossians 2:15 A sad occourence in some circles is the diminishing of the cross of Jesus Christ. We see in many Churches the cross being taken down in sanctuaries, other symbols being used in its stead. There are other more extreme cases where believers start to think of the cross as pagan, unbiblical and even not a cross but a pole as Jehovah Witnesses teach. This should not surprise us that there is enmity and division over the cross as a symbol as it bears the very message and death of the Person of God for a lost humanity. The enemy of our souls knows this and has and continues to oppose or pervert and mis-use its symbol. The cross gives us a powerful message and truth in visible form when looked upon. It says that the eternal God became flesh and submitted himself to death on the cross for humanity. It was death being trampled upon by the death of God. It was the triumphing over demonic hosts in the unseen. It is the love of God and forgiving of sins. Its very symbol speaks to the believer of life, the unbeliever of God's love and the demons of their defeat. When I was in a certain city, the Holy Spirit bore witness in my heart to wear a medium size cross around my neck with large rope. I was actively evangelizing unreached Punjabi peoples in the area with the Good News of Jesus. When I obeyed God and wore the cross an amazing thing happened, everywhere I went the Punjabi people seemed to see me very clearly and where drawn to me. I remember countless times in daily life where they would just stare and after I finished what I was doing, I would go and hand a scripture booklet to them. What that experience spoke to me was that bearing the cross of Christ in reference in a physical way had a spiritual impact. Whether they looked at me with my long beard and cross as a holy man or devoutly religious, I am not sure. But I could not deny the difference it made. It also made me councious that I was a bearer of this message of the Cross to the people daily. Another way the symbol of the cross was used in the early Church was by tracing it on the forehead and other ways. This practice began with water baptism and later became an accepted way of acknowledging the Lord and the death of Christ. Cyril an early church leader in AD. 310 wrote: "Let us not then be ashamed to confess the Crucified. Be the Cross our seal made with boldness by our fingers on our brow, and on everything; over the bread we eat, and the cups we drink; in our comings in, and goings out; before our sleep, when we lie down and when we rise up; when we are in the way, and when we are still." Martin Luther as other protestants carried on this tradition of the sign of the cross. Luther said, "In the morning, when you rise, you shall make the sign of the holy cross, and you shall say: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Then, kneeling or standing, you shall say the Apostles’ Creed and the Lord’s Prayer." This way of doing the sign of cross was to touch the fore-head, then the belly, then left shoulder, then right. This motion made a cross and it signified many things including, (1) acknowledging the Lord (2) declaring triumph over the enemy (3) testifying that our body, spirit and soul belong to God (4) putting in remembrance the death of Christ. Should all believers wear crosses, have cross symbols in their home or church, or make the visible sign of the cross daily? This question should make us ask another question first, Do I daily remember, praise and thank God for the Cross of Christ? Is it always in my remembrance? All of these traditions of the symbol of the cross are servants to the greater reality of the very death of Christ for each of us personally. Life, time, work, vocations distract us at times from the very purpose and person that everything is all about. M. Basilea Schlink says, "You were created and redeemed to focus on Jesus – on Him alone." St. Paul the apostle said that the cross was everything to him, it was his focus and boast (Galatians 6:14). Let us remember daily that it is this powerful cross that frees us from sin, satan and our own very self. Let it be in our gaze daily in all the motions of life. And hear the voice of your Lord saying "Remember Me", "Remember what I did for you." Yes, Lord we will remember you, let us not lose the wonder and holiness of your Cross.
  9. John 5:39 - "You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me." THIS SAYS CLEARLY THAT REVELATION IS MEANT TO BRING US INTO AN ENCOUNTER WITH GOD, AND IF IT DOESN'T, IT ONLY MAKES US MORE RELIGIOUS. RENEWING THE MIND IS NOT MERELY READING WORDS ON A PAGE AND HAVING A MOMENT OF REVELATION ABOUT A PARTICULAR VERSE. RENEWAL COMES AS REVELATION THAT LEADS YOU INTO A NEW EXPERIENCE WITH GOD. MANY CHRISTIANS HAVE AT TIMES EMBRACED A ROUTINE OF READING SCRIPTURE WITHOUT LETTING THE READING LEAD TO EXPERIENCE. Affirmation: TO RENEW MY MIND I MUST NOT JUST THINK DIFFERENTLY BUT LIVE DIFFERENTLY, IN A NEW EXPERIENCE OF THE EMPOWERMENT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. Luke 14:26 - "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters - yes, even his own life - he cannot be my disciple." SOME OF JESUS' STATEMENTS ABOUT HIS OWN EARTHLY FAMILY WERE CONSIDERED MORALLY WRONG AND THE ULTIMATE IN DISHONOR BY THE CULTURE AROUND HIM. JESUS' STATEMENT WAS REVOLUTIONARY. THIS, HOWEVER, WAS NOT THE STATEMENT OF AN EXTREMIST. IT CONVEYED JESUS' JEALOUS LOVE FOR HUMANITY. HE LOVED US ENOUGH TO LEAVE HIS FATHER IN HEAVEN, AND HE EXPECTS NO LESS FROM US - ASKING US TO ABANDON ALL OTHER LOVES FOR HIM. Affirmation: AS A FOLLOWER OF JESUS I TREAT EVERYTHING ELSE AS LESSER IN COMPARISON TO HIM, THE GREATER. Luke 5:4 - "When Jesus had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, "Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch." Luke 5 is a great example of the Church in our day. We have been fishing all night and have not caught much. Many of us have not ventured out of the shallow water, out of the zones of safety and comfortableness, to find the fish where they are. The fish are in the deep water; they are outside the Church, and outside our opinions and prejudices. As we are obedient to God's call and venture into the deep water and into relationships with people "on the streets," we will be overwhelmed by the response and will need to network with other churches to accommodate the great numbers of people who will come to Jesus. Matthew 4:19 - And Jesus said unto them, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  10. Luke 2:44,45 - "But supposing Him to be in the company they went a day's journey, and they sought Him among their kinsfolk and acquaintances; and when they did not find Him, they returned to Jerusalem, seeking Him." Likewise, many of us have become so consumed with our battles that we fail to notice Jesus is not with us on our journey. Jesus' parents returned to where they had last seen Him; so also must we. To renew us, God is bringing us back to our most recent encounter with the living Christ. To reach our place of breakthrough, God is bringing us back to the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. For My Prayerful Consideration: IS NOT INTIMACY WITH GOD THE VERY THING I HAVE NEGLECTED? AS I SIMPLY AND TRUTHFULLY EVALUATE, WITHOUT RATIONALIZATION, MY HEART'S CONDITION I AM DRAWN INTO THE PRESENCE OF GOD. WHAT SEEMS TO ME LIKE A TIME OF DESOLATION IS MORE TRULY A TIME OF PREPARATION. GOD HAS PREPARED FOR ME A NEW BEGINNING. 2 Corinthians 11:3 - "But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ." Matthew 16:25 - "For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose Following Him always leads to the cross. His triumph was the cross, and it is ours too. If we are in Christ we are to be dead to this world. It is impossible to offend a dead person. It is impossible for a dead person to feel rejected or abused. If this is true we can respond to any situation with God's love.it; but whoever loses his life for my sake shall find it." Luke 16:16 - "The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it." This realm of God’s Spirit does not come without “pressing” – without contending. The first thing about pressing is seeking. Pressing into it means there is a passionate pursuit of God in prayer. The word “to seek” means to diligently look for and search out earnestly until the object of the search is located. It is as crying out and hungering for the presence of God. AFFIRMATIONS: I press into and lay hold of the kingdom of heaven in an aggressive way. I have a burning heart of fiery witness and passion when it comes to exhorting others in their walk with God. I repent from trying to do God's will without abiding in His presence. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  11. 2 Corinthians 4:13 - "We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak." OBSERVATION: Sometimes I have to speak the Word to myself until I believe it -- then I can use that word to speak to my situation. The abiding word produces the spirit of faith within me; so I spend time with God and permit that word to abide in me. I confess that word and meditate in that word and abide in Jesus. Then the spirit of faith is produced in me. Romans 10:17 - "So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing, by the word of God." Romans 6:4,5 - "Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so, we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection." The cross of Golgotha utterly crucified us. Our natural being no longer has a place in God's thoughts. The death of Jesus on the cross put an irrevocable end to what we are by nature and what we could ever be. What we are in Christ has nothing more to do with what we were before we were crucified. InChrist we find ourselves in the province of resurrection, and resurrection is only possible if there is first a death. In the resurrection there is only one reality -- Christ all and in all! l Corinthians 3:18,19 - "Make no mistake about it: if any one of you thinks of himself as wise, in the ordinary sense of the word, then he must learn to be a fool before he really can be wise. Why? Because the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God....God is not convinced by the arguments of the wise." On our own we cannot comprehend how to grow and live in oneness with God. Live every day in the knowledge that every bit of spiritual insight is a pure gift from God. The only way to receive wisdom from God is to come before Him (SUBMITTING YOUR SPIRIT TO HIM), pushing away every bit of understanding you think you have gained, and each day, offer yourself as a servant who is willing to do the lowest job. As long as you allow the spirit of "superior knowledge" to secretly overtake you -- that is, to be master of you of your own soul -- you will be as powerless in spirit as a slave -- always subject to your lower nature. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  12. Matthew 6:10 - "Your Kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." This is the primary focus for all prayer -- if it exists in heaven, it is to be "loosed" on earth. It's the praying Christian who "looses" heaven's expression here. When the believer prays according the revealed will of God, faith is specific and focused. Faith grabs hold of that reality. Enduring faith doesn't let go. Such an invasion causes the circumstances here to line up with heaven. Matthew 16:19 - "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven. (NAS)" Romans 1:24,25 - "Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator - who is forever praised." EVERY SIN IS THE EXCHANGE OF THE TRUTH OF GOD FOR A LIE. CHRISTIANS, WHO TEND TO AUTOMATICALLY ASSUME THEY ARE THE "CHOSEN OF GOD," HAVE REASSURED THEMSELVES THAT THEY COULD NOT POSSIBLY BE DECEIVED. THE VERY THOUGHT, "I CANNOT BE DECEIVED" IS ITSELF A DECEPTION. MANY TESTS AWAIT THE "CALLED" BEFORE THEY ARE EQUIPPED BY GOD AND BECOME HIS CHOSEN; NOT THE LEAST OF THESE TESTS IS BECOMING FREE FROM DECEPTION. Matthew 22:14 - "Many are called but few are chosen." John 14:30 - ".......for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me." Pauperhood is relegated to the children of a lesser god. He is the one who assigns them to a life of poverty, pain, and depression through a diabolical play of illusion. He hopes to conceal their true identity forever. This evil prince feeds his captives the poisonous rations of religion, convincing them they will fill their soul's hunger for righteousness. These slaves, blindfolded by their sin, think that they are laboring for their own freedom and work to pave their way out of prison with bricks built from the miry clay of self-righteousness. Yet, unknowingly, brick by brick, they are erecting their own chambers of death. Worse yet, they birth children into the same darkness, ultimately creating legacies of bondage with mind-sets of hopelessness. Affirmations: I AM NOT JUST A SOLDIER OF THE CROSS; I AM AN HEIR TO THE THRONE. THE DIVINE NATURE PERMEATES MY SOUL, TRANSFORMS MY MIND, TRANSPLANTS MY HEART, AND TRANSFIGURES MY SPIRIT. I WAS MADE TO BE A VESSEL OF HIS GLORY AND VEHICLE OF HIS LIGHT. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  13. Matthew 6:13 - "But deliver us from evil." THE WORD "EVIL" REPRESENTS THE ENTIRE CURSE OF SIN UPON MAN. "PONEROS", THE GREEK WORD FOR EVIL, CAME FROM THE WORD "PONOS," MEANING PAIN. AND THAT WORD CAME FROM THE ROOT WORD "PENES," MEANING POOR. To Summarize: EVIL-SIN, PAIN (SICKNESS), AND POOR (POVERTY). JESUS DESTROYED THE POWER OF SIN, SICKNESS, AND POVERTY THROUGH HIS REDEMPTIVE WORK ON THE CROSS. Psalm 23:4,5 - "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil: my cup runneth over." OBSERVATION: Because God is with me, every adversity I face will unfold in victory as I maintain my faith in God! The battle I am in will soon become a meal to me, an experience that will nourish and build me up spiritually. John 13:8 -- Peter said to Him, "You shall never wash my feet!" Jesus answered him, "If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me." Once we have received Christ as our Lord and Savior, we are bathed all over, and cleansed by His blood once and for all eternity! His blood has perfected us forever (Hebrews 10:14), and we only need to wash our feet because we walk in the world and our feet pick up dust and dirt, causing us to stumble. Ephesians 5:25-26 tells us that "Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the Word." We, the church, are cleansed with the washing of water by the Word. The more we come under anointed teaching that unveils Christ through the Word, the more the cleansing goes on. And as our feet are washed, instead of stumbling, we will be walking and even running! Affirmation: I LET JESUS WASH MY FEET WITH A DEEPER REVELATION OF HIMSELF THROUGH HIS WORD. John 3:6 - "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." Observation: IF I AM TRYING TO DEAL WITH GOD OUT OF MY HEAD OR OUT OF MY FEELINGS, THEN WHAT I AM DOING IS TRYING TO DEAL WITH GOD OUT OF MY FLESH. John 4:24 - "God is a Spirit: and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  14. Ephesians 1:9,10 - "For He has made known to us in all wisdom and insight the mystery of His will, according to His purpose which He set forth in Christ as a plan for the fulness of time to unite all things in Him, things in heaven and things on earth. " THE ULTIMATE PURPOSE OF GOD IS TO SUM UP ALL THINGS IN HIS SON. IN EVERYTHING THE LORD IS DOING ON THE EARTH, THE ULTIMATE PURPOSE IS TO BE CONFORMED TO THE IMAGE OF CHRIST. THEREFORE THE BASIS OF WHAT HE IS SAYING TO ME IS THAT I MUST BE FOUND IN HIM. LIKEWISE, KNOWING THAT THE BASIC COMMUNICATION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IS ABOUT THE SON, HIS WAYS, HIS WORKS AND HIS HEART, ENABLES ME TO AT LEAST HAVE A BASIS FOR BEGINNING TO INTERPRET WHAT THE HOLY SPIRIT IS SAYING TO ME. Luke 1:18 - "And Zacharias said unto the angel. "Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.'" Luke 1:34 - "Then said Mary unto the angel, 'How shall this be, since I do not know a man?'" Both Mary and Zacharias asked how these miracles would occur, but it is evident that Mary asked "how" in faith while Zacharias asked "how" in unbelief. It is clear in scripture that unbelief doesn't please God (Hebrews 11:6), but the Lord doesn't mind us questioning Him for the purpose of instruction so we can cooperate with His will in our lives. Abram knew that it was God's will for him to have a son, but Abram and Sarai came up with their own plan which caused them and the world much grief (Genesis 16:1-6), Abram would have avoided many problems if he had asked the Lord how He was going to accomplish this miraculous event. If Mary had not questioned this angel, she might have reasoned that Jesus would be born through the natural union of her and Joseph. This would have been a grave mistake. It would have disqualified her from being used. Affirmations: I KNOW IT'S NOT ENOUGH JUST TO KNOW GOD'S WILL; I CONTINUE TO SEEK THE LORD UNTIL I KNOW GOD'S PURPOSE FOR MY LIFE. Matthew 12:43,44 - "Now when the unclean spirit goes out of a man, it passes through waterless pleases, seeking rest, and does not find it. Then it says, 'I will return to my house from which I came."' JESUS REVEALED THAT THERE IS A DIMENSION TO HUMAN NATURE THAT ACTUALLY CAN HOST AN EVIL SPIRIT AND PROVIDE IT A TYPE OF REST. THE ASPECT OF HUMAN NATURE WHICH IS MOST SIMILAR IN SUBSTANCE AND DISPOSITION TO THE NATURE OF THE EVIL ONE IS THE CARNAL THOUGHT-LIFE, WHICH IS A DIMENSION OF THE SOUL (MIND, WILL, AND EMOTIONS). IT IS OUR UNCRUCIFIED THOUGHTS AND UNSANCTIFIED ATTITUDES THAT UNCLEAN SPIRITS (MASKING THEMSELVES AS OUR THOUGHTS AND HIDING THEMSELVES IN OUR ATTITUDES) FIND ACCESS INTO OUR LIVES. 15. When Jesus declared on the Cross, "It is finished," He decreed to the earth and the world of darkness that they had lost. When Jesus arose from the grave, He fulfilled the legal requirements of the law and broke the curse of sin off the earth! Jesus secured everything for the Believer from the Cross of Calvary and the Resurrection from the grave, and satan knows he is powerless to stop God's Kingdom plan. BECAUSE OF OUR RESURRECTED SAVIOR, WE WIN! Colossians 2:12-15 (NKJV) - " ...[You were] buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us." Jesus' followers can see how the Cross had become the intersection of Heaven and earth. The supernatural traffic between Heaven and earth can flow freely through this intersection, and the supernatural life is available to us NOW: 1) Exchanging Punishment for Peace - Isa. 53:5 2) Exchanging Sickness for Healing - Isa. 53:4-5 3) Exchanging Sin for Righteousness - Isa. 53:10, 2 Cor. 5:21 4) Exchanging Curse for Blessing - Deut. 28:15-68 for Deut. 28:1-14 5) Exchanging Poverty for Wealth - 2 Cor. 8:9 6) Exchanging Threefold Death for Threefold Life - Heb. 2:9 He tasted death in three successive phases: (1) He was cut off from union and fellowship with the Father; (2) He was cut off from physical life; and (3) He was banished from God's presence like a scapegoat, carrying sin away. He was crucified and buried; He descended into Hades and rose again so that our redemption could be complete. In exchange, the gift of life to every Believer is: (1) union and fellowship with God; and (2) resurrection and eternal life in God's glorious presence. 7) Exchanging the Old Man for the New - Rom. 6:6; 8:10; Col. 2:11; Gal. 5:17-24 As we understand that our spirit is "quickened" by His Spirit we must – as God's design for Kingdom citizens – take dominion and multiply God's Kingdom on this earth as it is in Heaven! That is indeed the Believer's resurrection authority. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  16. Mark 6:3,5 - "And they took offense at Him. He could not do any miracles there, except lay His hands on a few sick people and heal them." OBSERVATION: THE VERY POWER OF CHRIST TO HEAL, DELIVER, AND WORK MIRACLES IS CONTAINED IN THE REVELATION OF HIS LORDSHIP. JESUS DID NO MIRACLE UNTIL HE BEGAN TO MANIFEST HIMSELF AS LORD. FROM THAT TIME ON, THE ONLY RELATIONSHIPS HE ACTIVELY SUSTAINED WERE THOSE WHICH RECOGNIZED AND SUBMITTED TO HIS LORDSHIP OVER THEM. SO, THE KEY TO MY RECEIVING MIRACLES IS FOR ME TO SUBMIT TO HIS LORDSHIP OVER MY LIFE. Joshua 1:8 - "This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; but you shall meditate therein day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success." Meditating on the promises of God is something we can do in order to determine where we're going in life. When we declare the Word over our own life and prophesy our own destiny in agreement with Him, we release the anointing of the Spirit in a greater measure to bring the Word to pass. AFFIRMATIONS: I always receive from God because I have faith and do not doubt. (Matthew 21:21,22) God grants me the spirit of wisdom and understanding to fulfill the hope to which He has called me and realize the richness of His glorious inheritance in me. (Ephesians 1:17,18) I curse those things that don’t bear fruit for God in my life. (Mark 11:12) Since I bear and keep on bearing lasting fruit for Jesus, whatever I ask the Father in Jesus’ name he will give it to me. (John 15:16) Song of Solomon 4:7 - "You are all fair, my love, there is no spot in you." UNTIL YOU ARE IMMERSED IN THE CROSS YOU ARE STILL NOT ALL FAIR. AS FOR YOU, THE CROSS HAS ENTIRELY DESTROYED YOUR BEAUTY IN THE EYES OF MEN. IN HIS (JESUS) EYES, HOWEVER, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  17. Luke 12:10 - "Everyone who will speak a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him." Observation: JESUS WAS PREPARED IN HIS HEART TO FORGIVE MEN BEFORE THEY EVER SINNED AGAINST HIM. HE KNEW HIS MISSION WAS TO DIE FOR MEN, NOT CONDEMN THEM. I AM TO DO THE SAME. Romans 8:13,16 - "For if I live after the flesh, I shall die; but if I through the spirit to mortify the deeds of the body, I shall live. The Holy Spirit bears witness with my spirit, that I am a child of God." Affirmation: I DOMINATE MY MIND AND MY BODY WITH MY SPIRIT SINCE I MAINTAIN MY SPIRIT PROPERLY - FEEDING, STRENGTHENING, AND DOMINATING MY INNER MAN WITH THE WORD. LET US DECLARE: 1. That I will come into a greater revelation of the restored relationship I have with our Heavenly Father (Gods PURPOSE for my life - my CALLING in Christ) and His Kingdom through the Cross! 2. That in revelation of my sonship I will occupy the full authority I have in the earth and bring all of creation back into subjection to the dominion of the King! 3. My environment will be forever changed as I pray, say and do what the Father shows me and I see Heaven invade every place I go and everyone I meet. Song of Solomon 4:3 - "Your lips are like a scarlet thread, and your speech is sweet. Your cheeks are like a piece of pomegranate, besides that which is hidden within." "YOUR CHEEKS ARE LIKE A PIECE OF POMEGRANATE." THE POMEGRANATE HAS MANY SEEDS ALL CONTAINED IN ONE SINGLE RIND. LIKEWISE, ALL YOUR THOUGHTS ARE RE-ORDERED IN GOD BY A PURE AND PERFECT LOVE. ALL THAT HAS BEEN DESCRIBED HERE IS NOTHING COMPARED WITH ALL THAT IS YET CONCEALED IN THE DEEPEST DEPTHS OF YOUR SPIRIT. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  18. "And Goliath cursed David by his gods. The Philistine also said to David, "Come to me, and I will give your flesh to the birds of the sky and the beasts of the field." - 1 Samuel 18:43,44 Goliath first used fiery darts against David (his words of negativity), believing that the negativity alone would cause David to cower down! Yes, Goliath's negative words were meant to be a "first-blow" against David to weaken him so that Goliath could move in quickly for the kill! For us today, a Philistine spirit might sound like this: • You're too young (old) to be used of God. • You haven't attended Bible college, so you're unqualified to lay hands on the sick and see them healed. • You're not a good speaker. • Your family was poor. How can you ever consider yourself blessed of God? • You are not attractive, you're fat (skinny), or too short (tall). • You are weak. Just take a good look at yourself. Is there anything about you of which you can really be proud? • You failed. You sinned. God will never use you. God has abandoned you. • Shame on you! KNOWING AND UNDERSTANDING OUR IDENTITY IN CHRIST Did you notice that this spirit targets our significance? In other words, it targets our identity as a Christian: a blood-bought Believer, a child of the King, a son and daughter of God. Satan desires for each of us to get stuck in cycles of feeling "insignificant." The dictionary describes insignificance as being unimportant and having no purpose in life However, when we don't know our full identity in Christ, we remain in a continual search for significance. This is exactly what Goliath attempted to do with David...infiltrate his belief system concerning his identity and his relationship with God! This search will remain on our wilderness wandering map unless we begin to rebuke the words (fiery darts and arrows) and begin to agree with what God says about us. WE MUST POSSESS OUR PROMISED LAND You are already victorious because of the Cross. Still we must possess our Promised Land through AFFIRMING and MEDITATING the scriptures that have to do with our identity as born-again believers. Jesus paid the price for it – let's believe it and enter into it! IT'S TIME FOR BREAKTHROUGH Our true identity has been on the line – what do you believe about yourself? What do you believe about God? The truth must become established for breakthrough to occur. The fiery darts (Ephesians 6:16) are targeting our identity. The identity thief has a plan – to steal, kill, and destroy your future. Let's exalt the Lord and declare His identity as "The Breaker"! Yes, He is the Breaker – the one who breaks forth on our behalf (see Micah 2:13). God is breaking forth for us. Jesus broke forth and gave us life by the shedding of His precious Blood. It's time for faith to arise once more. Raise up your shield of faith today! Lift up the name of Jesus – your shield! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  19. Mark 4:26,27 - "Jesus went on to say, 'The Kingdom of God is like a man who scatters seed in his field. He sleeps at night, is up and about during the day, and all the while the seeds are sprouting and growing. Yet he does not know how it happens."' Turn away from anything that would take preeminence over your time with the Master Gardener. Allow Jesus to uproot anything in your field that hinders growth. Jesus provides water from His pierced side and again, as He promised, "You will be like a well-watered field, like a spring whose waters never fail." Living Water, "reign" down on us! Our Father promises in Revelation 21:6, "I will give to the thirsty the springs of the Water of Life--as a gift!" He says only to whose who are thirsty will He give that gift. Observation: The word is a seed that contains the very life of God. When it's planted in my heart and left there, it will release that life. God's best is for me to take the seed of His word and plant it in my heart where it will naturally and effortlessly produce the changes that I desire. John 15:7,8 - "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples." 1 Kings 19:10 - And he said, "I have been very zealous for the Lord, the God of hosts; for the sons of Israel have forsaken Thy covenant, torn down Thine altars and killed Thy prophets with the sword. And I alone am left; and they seek my life, to take it away. " IN HIS DEJECTION, ALONE AND HURTING, ELIJAH WITHDREW INTO A CAVE IN MT. HOREB. FOR US, SELF-PITY CAN ALSO BECOME A SPIRITUAL CAVE. IT CAN TRAP US IN A DARK HOLE OF LONELINESS AND PAIN. IN THIS PLACE OF ISOLATION WE FAIL TO HEAR THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF GOD; ALL WE REALLY HEAR IS THE ECHO OF OUR OWN VOICE MAGNIFYING AND DISTORTING OUR PROBLEMS. Song of Solomon 3:9 - "King Solomon made himself a chariot of the wood of Lebanon." THE SON OF GOD MADE HIMSELF A CHARIOT OF HIS HUMANITY. THE THRONE OF THE KING OF KINGS IS MADE OF THE WOOD OF LEBANON. CHRIST CONSTRUCTS A THRONE FOR HIMSELF IN EVERY PERSON. HE ADORNS THIS THRONE IN GREAT SPLENDOR SO THAT HE MIGHT REIGN THERE. HE BOUGHT THIS PLACE WITHIN YOU WITH HIS BLOOD. BY HIS GRACE THIS THRONE IS MADE HOLY. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  20. 2 Chronicles 17:9 -- "For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him..." The word tells us that God shows Himself strong in behalf of those whose hearts are "perfect" toward Him. "Perfect does not mean that we have to do everything just right and live without making a mistake. I means "devoted" -- a heart consecrated, dedicated, loyal and faithful to God. Who is faithful? The one who spends his time doing what God has called him to do. Or as Jesus put it, --the one who takes up his cross and follows Him. The one who denies His fleshly desires and spends his life on the things God desires him to do. Psalms 37:28 -- "For the Lord loves the just and will not forsake His faithful ones." Revelation 2:10 -- "Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life." AFFIRMATIONS: Today I decide to be a faithful and wise servant. I find out that is stealing my time from the Lord. I serve His interests instead of my own. I take of Jesus' thoughts today. I take up His purposes and plans. Now is the time to be faithful! INTO ACTION: What has God called me to do? ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  21. John 6:5,7 - "So when Jesus went up into the hills and sat down with His disciples around Him, he soon saw a great multitude of people climbing the hill, looking for Him. Turning to Philip he asked. 'Philip, where can we buy bread to feed all these people?' Philip answered him, "Two hundred denarii would not buy enough bread for each one to have a bite!" Philip got caught up in thinking about the problem. He was figuring out how may people there were....how much money was in the treasury....and how much bread costs. He was so preopccupied with his own doubts and questions that the problems were speaking to him more loudly than the Lord. As a result, he answered Jesus without really listening to Him. OBSERVATION: The Lord often asks us to go beyond our abilities. Our usual response is to express our limitations -- not realizing that Jesus is asking us to place our limited ability in His hand, so He can multiply it. AFFIRMATION: WHEN I GET OUTSIDE OF MYSELF AND BEGIN TO THINK INSIDE THE WORD OF GOD, I GET OUTSIDE OF MY LIMITATIONS AND INTO THE LIMITLESS POWER OF ALMIGHTY GOD! Philippians 4:6 - "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Christ's presence within us is our assurance that we can live in peace, even in times of pressure and turmoil. This is the abundant life purchased for us by the broken body and spilled Blood of the Lamb of God at Calvary. He died and rose again to birth the Kingdom of God within us when we are born again. The Prince of Peace abides within us! We have a Blood-bought right to walk in uninterrupted shalom, free from all anxiety and fear, because of the living, breathing presence of Christ in our temple. Affirmations: JESUS IS MY GREAT HIGH PRIEST, AND HE IS INTERCEDING FOR ME RIGHT NOW. WITH GOD ON MY SIDE, I CAN ENJOY LIFE AS HE INTENDED FOR ME TO ENJOY IT. I BOLDLY CONFESS THAT I AM FEAR-FREE AND THAT ANXIETY HAS NO PLACE IN ME! I DECLARE THIS BY FAITH IN JESUS' NAME! Song of Solomon 3:6 - "Who is she that goes up by the wilderness, like a pillar of smoke, from the incense of myrrh, and frankincense, and all the powders of the perfumer?" YOU BECOME SO PURE IN THE ARMS OF YOUR BELOVED (JESUS) THAT YOU SEEM LIKE A BREATH OF AIR CONSUMED BY THE FIRE OF LOVE. YOUR UPRIGHTNESS IS LIKE SMOKE RISING. YOUR SPIRITUAL NATURE IS CLEARLY EVIDENT. YOU FLOW UPWARD, COMING FORTH FROM THE WILDERNESS OF FAITH. WHERE ARE YOU GOING? TO REST IN GOD. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  22. Luke 9:23 - "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me." Spiritual storms, winds, and billows will blow into our lives, pulling us this way and that. Sometimes, in the face of winds and danger, we know there is a place of safety in God, but still we don't fly to that safe place in Him. Instead, we fly away, resisting the wisdom that tells us to fly to Him. Why do we all seem to do this? Because we all know in our spirits what flying toward Him will mean. We know it will require first going to the Cross. Peace, safety, comfort, rest are found in God, but testing and discomfort are also woven into His design. Therefore, we should turn around and start running toward what is uncomfortable, because that is exactly where we are going to find Him. We will find our rest only after we choose to nest on a crossbeam. David knew this. In Psalm 84, he tells us to fly to that place in God – the secret place, often the place of our greatest testing, known only to God and us. By abiding in this place, we build a strong history with God. Every trial and storm He brings us through becomes a part of the nest. Day by day, He lines our nest with His faithfulness, His goodness, His mercy, and His comfort. We rest secure in His strong tower, built to last. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  23. "Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest." - Matthew 9:38 "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations.." - Matthew 28:19 FOUR STEPS TO EFFECTIVE STREET EVANGELISM: 1) Pray! It's important to talk to God about people before you talk to people about God. Start out by prayer walking in the area that you want to do evangelism. Ask God for insight and direction. Pray for the people that you see. Pray for the Holy Spirit to go before you to prepare people's hearts, and to guide you to the people that are ready to hear. 2) Make contact: Still in an attitude of prayer, ask God to direct you to people. Introduce yourself and have an opening dialogue statement, like this "Hi, my name is __________, I'm here from Community Church to let you know that God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life." Then allow the conversation to flow from there. Be sensitive to God's direction, and allow Him to speak through you (i.e. the gifts of the Spirit, etc). 3) Meal outreach--offering sacked lunches to the homeless. It's one thing to just pass out free food, its another to take time to sit and eat with someone, and spend the time talking with them. 4) Recognize that evangelism (especially cold contact evangelism) is a process of removing the walls and barriers that keep people separated from God. Think of it as a chain . . . sometimes you are the first link in the chain, sometimes you are the last (and have the privelege of actually introducing someone to a relationship with Jesus). Most often you are somewhere in between. You will reap where you did not sow, but you must also be willing to sow where you don't reap. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  24. Ways in which we can learn to live by His strength within us: 1. Become deeply rooted. We're encouraged to be strong in the Lord and His kratos power (Eph. 6:10). Read the Word and discover the fullness of this strength, power and love for you. Develop intimacy and friendship with the Lord by spending time in the secret place of His presence. Seek and come to know Him more than you have before. Those who abide in Jesus will know the anointing and will flow in it (John 15). When your roots grow deep you'll flourish (Ps. 92:13) and the Spirit of the Lord will be upon you in strength! 2. Acquaint yourself with what God would have you do, pray for wisdom. Paul prayed that the saints at Colossae might be fully acquainted with what God would have them do in all wisdom and spiritual understanding (Col. 1:9-10). He offered a similar prayer on behalf of the Ephesians (Eph. 1:17-19). Wisdom and spiritual understanding awaken you to the reality of God's strength and power in you, working through you and flowing from you. 3. Plug into fresh oil daily. "But my horn you have exalted like a wild ox, I have been anointed with fresh oil" (Ps. 92:10). To be exalted as a wild ox is to be strengthened. Oxen are strong and powerful. It takes a lot to knock an ox down. Fresh oil releases the strength of the Lord in the inner man. It is only by His Spirit (Zech. 4:6) that you are able to accomplish the mighty and impossible and take pleasure in infirmities, in reproach, in persecution and in distress for Christ's sake. For when you are weak, then you are strong (2 Cor. 12:10). So become as strong as an ox by tapping into the precious oil of the Spirit every day. 4. Trust in the Lord. We cannot walk in the fullness of our destiny until we know and trust God’s strength and live daily by the strength of who He is in our inner man. This strength only comes by the power of the Holy Spirit. David trusted God even though he was hunted and persecuted by King Saul. He said he wasn't plucked up or destroyed, but flourished like a green olive tree in the house of the Lord (Ps. 52:8). 5. Rejoice for Christ and His Mighty Strength in You. Rejoice that you can rule and reign in this life with boldness, confidence, strength, zeal and vigor. When Christ, your High Priest, goes before you, you can walk in the fullness of your inheritance. You can walk in every manifestation of power available to you, including kratos power. Rejoice around the throne and sing a new song of victory, for Christ in you and His mighty strength in your inner man! "Blessing and honor and glory and power [kratos] be to Him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, forever, and ever" (Rev. 5:13b)! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  25. Psalm 51:6 - "Behold, Thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part Thou shalt make me to know wisdom." As we cry out from a deep engaging of the Spirit of the living God within our spirit, we experience communion, which is a place of deep-to-deep fellowship with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit searches out the deep counsel of God for you and reveals it to you. Observation: DOCTRINAL TRUTH HAS AN ILLUSION ABOUT ITSELF: THE ILLUSION IS THAT KNOWLEDGE IS THE SAME THING AS RIGHTEOUSNESS. ON THE OTHER HAND, TRUTH THAT COMES BY REVELATION ALWAYS PRODUCES CHANGE; IT ALWAYS LEAVES US LESS SURE OF OURSELVES, MORE DEPENDENT UPON GOD, AND MOVE LOVING TOWARD OTHERS. 2 Timothy 2:11,12 - "It is a faithful saying: For if we be dead with Him, we shall also live with Him: If we suffer, we shall also reign with Him: if we deny Him, He shall also deny us." We yelid ourselves in the death to self, to the will of God; having faith in Jesus on the throne, as our Head and life, that He has brought us in and will make it true in our experience -- we trust Jesus, by being a partaker of His nature and life, to work all in us that the Father has PURPOSED for our individual life -- and we shall know how blessed it is to enter the rest of God. Affirmations: I CONFESS THAT I AM FOLLOWING THE VOICE OF JESUS. I HAVE BEEN GIVEN SPIRITUAL POWER, SPIRITUAL WEAPONS, AND THE WONDERFUL WORD OF GOD. SINCE I AM EQUIPT WITH EVERYTHING I NEED TO WIN, I MAINTAIN THE ATTITUDE THAT NEVER GIVES IN, NEVER GIVES UP, AND NEVER SURRENDERS TO DEFEAT. Song of Solomon 1:3 - "Draw me, we will run after you to the fragrance of your perfume." THE YOUNG MAIDEN (THE CHURCH) ASKS TO BE DRAWN TO HER BRIDEGROOM (JESUS) FROM DEEP WITH HER SPIRIT. THE BRIDE ALREADY UNDERSTANDS THAT THERE IS AN ENJOYMENT OF HER BRIDEGROOM DEEPER AND MORE LASTING THAN WHAT SHE NOW KNOWS. THIS CAUSES HER TO MAKE A NEW REQUEST: "DRAW ME", SHE SAYS "INTO THE MOST INWARD PARTS OF MY SPIRIT, SO THAT I MIGHT COMPLETELY RUN TO YOU." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
