  1. This is adapted from a paper by Dr. DuWayne Lee. I have changed some wording and added some, but it is in essence the same. I have chosen to employ several Bible versions, without cherry picking them, just for some variety and not to lean too heavily on any single version. What is the Perseverance of the Saints? - Part 1 This particular wording comes to us from the acronym T.U.L.I.P. The tulip is a set of 5 beliefs that distinguish reformed theology of the Puritans and other early protestants. The letters stand for: Total depravity Unconditional election Limited atonement Irresistible grace Perseverance of the saints. The doctrine of perseverance is debated among Christians, and unfortunately the immature and prideful ones make it a divisive subject. Some do so out of ignorance, not understanding what it is or whether or not is it Biblical. Sometimes it is just a matter of group think ("my pastor said", or "my denomination teaches") instead of careful and studied examination. Some people just come to conclusions based on their understanding (which may or may not be correct) of a verse of group of verses without being aware of other verses that also relate to the topic. So what is the doctrine specifically? According to Dr. Clarence Bass (Dr. Clarence Bass, professor emeritus at Bethel Theological Seminary): "That act of God by which, on the basis of the completed work of redemption through the meritorious work of Christ, He preserves the believer in continuing faith through the continuing ministry of the Holy Spirit unto eternal life." To paraphrase Dr. Lorraine Boettner for the sake of brevity: Those whom God has chosen in Christ, He has effectively called and set apart, cannot totally or finally fall from His grace. The will persist to the end and be eternally saved. While a true Christian may fall into sin temporarily, they will eventually return and will be saved. Implications First, what it is not: It is NOT the idea that a person is eternally saved no matter what they may become in terms of character. 1 Cor 6: 9 Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, 10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. ESV Gal 5 19 Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: sexual immorality, impurity, indecent behavior, 20 idolatry, witchcraft, hostilities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, 21 envy, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. NASB EPH 5 3 But among you, as is proper among the saints, there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed. 4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk, or crude joking, which are out of character, but rather thanksgiving. 5 For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure, or greedy person (that is, an idolater), has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things the wrath of God is coming on the sons of disobedience. 7 Therefore do not be partakers with them. BSB It also does not mean that the Christian will be saved whether he/she persists in faith or not. Mark 13 13 And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. NKJ The doctrine also does not teach that one is saved by their faith, but then kept safe by their works. In other words the doctrine does not maintain that to be saved, one must earn or keep salvation by living a good life after one has been saved by faith. This is the end of Part One, which was a little history and definition of the doctrine, and clarification of what the doctrine does not teach. In the next installment, we will examine what the doctrine does teach.
  2. I have decided ti create and index of topic for this section. It will be small at first, since I am very slow going on this project, but hopefully I can grow it with time. Here the topics will be listed, in alphabetical order with no suggestion of any topic being more important than another. As I grow this index, I will add topics into this first post of this thread.   3. The Trinity The Trinity is the Doctrine which states that there is only one God, and that the one God exists in three persons, all having a part in the creation, being co-equal and co-eternal. Persons here, does not mean people, not three humans, it merely means that the three are personal in nature, having the qualities of personhood, such as thought, will, action, relationship etc. Think of the idea of personality, and you get some idea. The doctrine is hard for many to accept, because in the limited thinking of being conditioned by a lifetime of experience in a material universe, they tend to think in terms of those experiences and not thinking outside of them, We sometimes forget to consider that things normally impossible, are possible with God. The doctrine does not arrive from some contrived imagination, it is seen as the only way to explain truths that the Bible states. It is not illogical, it is just outside of the limited logic we often apply. The Bible states that there is only One God. Bible refers to one person as the Father. It refers to a person it calls the Son, and it refers to a person it calls the Holy Spirit. Each of these persons are called God. If there is one God, and there are three persons who are each as individuals, also God, then by necessity, the three persons ARE the one God. Theoretically, there could be more persons who are also God, but if that is true, the Bible does not mention them, so to assume that there are more than three persons who are God, would be to go outside of God inspired scripture. There is one God Deut 6:4 4 “Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one! The Father is called God 2 Thess 1:1 1 Paul and Silvanus and Timothy, To the church of the Thessalonians in God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace. The Son is called God John 1:1-3 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. John 10:30-33 30 “I and the Father are one.”, 31 The Jews picked up stones again to stone Him. 32 Jesus answered them, “I showed you many good works from the Father; for which of them are you stoning Me?” 33 The Jews answered Him, “For a good work we do not stone You, but for blasphemy; and because You, being a man, make Yourself out to be God.” John 20:26-28 26 After eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors having been shut, and stood in their midst and said, “Peace be with you.” 27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.” 28 Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” Heb 1:8 8 But of the Son He says, “YOUR THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER, AND THE RIGHTEOUS SCEPTER IS THE SCEPTER OF HIS KINGDOM. Philip 2:9-11 9 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. The Holy Spirit is called God Acts 5:3-4 3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back some of the price of the land? 4 “While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not under your control? Why is it that you have conceived this deed in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.” 2 Cor 3:17 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

I already saw some people claming that a teaching are wrong because it was made years after the primitive church, so my qietion is: all the new teachings are wrong or it is possible a new teaching (that definitely didn't existed before) be right? or all doctrines after the primitive church are false?
  5. What did Paul preached in Galatians How I studied the book God did not arrange the bible in parts so that you would read a portion here and there. He gave us a library of books so that we would study a book at a time. Each book was given in the context of history, time and space because God spoke his Word through the prophets in the context of real life situation, time and space. When you understand the time period the book was written, why it was written, to whom it was written and who wrote the book then you will find the key that unlocks the book and you will understand the message of the book. This is what I did with the book of Galatians. Only when you understand the message of the book, can you put every text in its context. The book of Galatians is Paul’s most vigorous defense of the nature of the Gospel of grace through faith . Paul stands up for the defense of the gospel. He even confront Peter in public over major doctrinal issue. Here we have two leading man Peter and Paul involved in a confrontation on major doctrinal issue. Today the prime virtue is tolerance. There are not enough man like Paul who is willing to confront major doctrinal error in the church. What did Paul teach? In almost all the churches that Paul had planted the Judaizers would soon follow him there to spread a form of legalism upon the Christian faith. They followed him in Galatia, they followed him in Thessalonica and they followed him in Corinth. Paul calls them false brothers (Galatians 2:4), the circumcision group (Galatians 2:12) and perverters of the gospel of Christ (Galatians 1:7). The Judaizers taught the Galatians that: the gospel Paul has given you is incomplete. You need faith in the blood of Christ Plus circumcision. Except you be circumcised after the manner of Moses, you cannot be saved (Acts 15:1).Circumcision is a sign of becoming a proselyte Jew. That was the issue before the Jerusalem council. The decision of the Jerusalem council is that you don’t have to be circumcised to be saved. In another words you don’t have to become a proselyte Jew to be saved. When you become a proselyte, you have to keep all the oral laws and you have to keep the traditions of the elders. And you have to keep the Torah as perverted by the scribes and Pharisees. The Scribes and Pharisees have narrowed down the interpretation of the Torah so that they could keep it by their own human effort. The nation Israel ignored the righteousness which is by faith and they went about to establish their own righteousness (Romans 9:30-32). To this day in Israel, the Messianic Jews are persecuted by the orthodox Jews for their faith because they do not keep the oral laws and the traditions of the elders. Paul is not negating the Torah In Galatians Paul is not negating the Torah. Paul was a Torah keeping Jew believing in the law and the prophets. (Acts 24:14).What Paul is negating is leaving your faith in Jesus for something else a different gospel. A gospel of trying to establish your own righteousness by your self-effort as taught by the Judaizers and the Pharisee. Hence the term works of the law, yoke of bondage, and curse of the law. You don't need both Jesus and becoming a proselyte Jew to be saved. Twice in the opening chapter Paul makes this strong statement. This is the only epistle that contains this statement: But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other (a different kind) gospel to you than that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel to you than that you have received, let him be accursed. (Galatians 1:8-9) This makes me to shudder! What a fearful thing to add or to take away from only one true gospel of grace through faith. For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9) Salvation in by grace through faith alone equals EVERYTHING. But in the days of the: Early church, it was: Grace through faith PLUS legalism. Legalism occurs when you change the original intent of the Torah. You narrow it down so that you can keep it by your own self effort and you create oral laws and traditions along with it. Today in the church it is grace through faith MINUS the OT scripture which equals license. When a Christian believes that his freedom in Christ gives him the right to ignore ¾ of the canon of scriptures, you have license lawlessness and carnality. What kind of message you believe will affect the kind of lifestyle you live. How can the man of God be complete and thoroughly equipped for every good work?
  6. Hello everyone, I am writing a full report on Torah only using the NT, this is the start of part 1. I was shown to not search for the spiritual on the web. I only Use The Word and The Spirit. Part 1:The Meeting Of Acts. In acts chapter 13 vs. 14 & 15, we can see the Gentiles in Antioch are keeping the Sabbath and studying Torah, KJV: “But when they departed from Per'ga,they came to Antioch in Pisidia and went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and sat down. 15. And after the reading of The Law(Torah) and the prophets” (so Torah and rest of OT is what was being studied by the first Christian’s on The Biblical Sabbath day) In vs. 39 we see By our Belief/Faith in The Messiah we are Justified/made pure,. KJV: “And by him all that believe are Justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses”(simply following the customs of Torah is not what gives humans Justification) In vs. 45 we see the Jews become Jealous of the masses of Gentiles who have came to synagogue to Hear The Word of YHWH, and start speaking blasphemous. KJV: “BUT when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with envy" In chapter 14 vs 1 we see the Greeks and Jews both believed together as one Body in synagogue, no separation of Jew n Gentile. In chapter 15 vs.1 we have man who came down from Judea and taught the New converts, that They CAN NOT be saved UNLESS they are physically circumcised, KJV: “And certain men which came down from Judaea taught the brethren, and said, Except ye be circumcised after the manner of Moses YE CANNOT BE SAVED.” which is what causes the whole debate can a person get salvation and be uncircumcised? KJV vs.2: “Paul and Barnabas and certain other of them, should go upto Jerusalem unto the Apostles and Elders ABOUT THIS QUESTION" (Not whether we should keep or destroy the Torah that would have been sacrilegious and never would have ever crossed Their minds!) In vs 5 there is a Pharisee that stood up during the debate, and said it is NEEDFUL they be circumcised and they should be COMMANDED to keep or "Guard" the Torah which could be a reference to rabbinical oral law about placing "fences" around Torah, on this verse I sought out a 4th translation from the Aramaic peshitta, that actually makes the most sense for the context, HRB: “But some of those rose up from the sect of the Pharisees who had believed, saying, It is necessary to circumcise them in order to keep the Law of Moses” In vs.9 we see again there is NO difference between Jew and Gentile, and that our Hearts become purified By Faith! Keeping the rules without Faith is worthless, keep the Torah perfect, without Faith and a circumcised heart it means Nothing! In vs. 10 we see Peter say, “now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?” I believe this Yoke to be a mindset, the very mindset that caused this whole debate, that you CANNOT BE SAVED unless you follow these rules and customs, where as now the understanding has changed in this Meeting from ” we HAVE to Follow these customs to be Saved” to “now that we are Saved by grace, we SHOULD follow these customs” Although, the Torah is Holy, just and good (Ro 7:12), human beings are not, and according to the Torah (Deut 27:26) if one entered the first covenant, then they were obligated to observe every law of Torah and there was no way to have certain sins removed such as adultery, idolatry, blasphemy and murder. Yahshua magnified the Torah to show that in spirit every human being has committed such sins. Since Circumcision is the sign of the first covenant in which you could not have the penalty of such sins removed, Peter is clearly stating why would the elders want to put such a burden on new believers. Paul clearly expounds on this in the book of Galatians that if one is circumcised and joins the old covenant that Messiah will profit him nothing as there was no removal of sins but simply a hope of a better covenant to come with a more perfect priesthood in Melchizedek. In vs. 11 we again see through the Grace of The Messiah we are saved along with our Faith and belief as we seen in previous verses, this of course is not saying in any way that we should not Try to Follow YHWHs Rules, Just that The rules themselves DO NOT bring salvation, many men followed the customs who were unrighteous in heart, like the Pharisees who wouldn’t help men who needed healing on the Sabbath, they twisted His Torah into something it never was . In vs, 19 we see James stands up and says that they should not TROUBLE the New converts, as in don’t overwhelm these new people who have came to Elohim with a direct command from the Jerusalem council that they must follow every rule In order to gain salvation, in vs.20 he instead recommends that they(the elders) write them(new converts) a list they need to abstain from, to not overwhelm them, that they just stop fornication, blood, idols, things strangled “It would be ridiculous to think that these are the only 4 requirements that a new gentile believer needed to follow, as it does not mention murder, blasphemy or even belief in Yahshua. Since cultural issues such as not draining the blood correctly in animals was keeping Jewish believers from fellowshipping with gentile ones, the Apostles are simply making basic rules that will allow them to meet together with a clear conscience. These 4 points are not the only doctrine that a new gentile believer will have to learn, but they are a starting point, as the next verse clearly states that the gentiles will “hear the Torah each Sabbath that they meet” with the Jewish believers, clearly showing the still binding validity of the Sabbath and Torah, even after this decree.” In vs 21. James points out the fact that The Torah of Moses is preached every Sabbath, KJV:”For Moses of Old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath day" there fore The elders don’t need to teach or tell these people about the rest of the commandments, bc they fully expect them to Hear Torah every Sabbath as they go to synagogue, in turn they can learn the rest of Torah at Their own pace and not be overwhelmed or worried. And in vs. 22 we can see only after this truth was stated “THEN" the elders, apostles, is pleased and in agreement with the decision.
  7. Admins: could we have a separate forum for non-Trinitarian sects, so that we could discuss their particular false doctrines. If any Jehovah's Witness, Mormon or Oneness Apostolic were to join these forums, then we could evangelize them and help them to see the truth of the Trinity and Christ's full humanity and deity. I've made cult evangelism as specialization for many years, my having come out of the Oneness (Apostolic - Jesus Only) movement in 1989. A separate chat room for such cults might attract a few brave souls to come and visit us, please don't argue about people being corrupted or their faith compromised, as there are more than enough people who can give a good Trinitarian witness to these cults, I myself although not a DD or an expert, nonetheless do have 28 years experience in evangelizing cults.
  8. I'm not active in one part of this community because there seems to be a lot of upset going on there. I thought I'd post this article link here in case anyone wanted to get to the bare bones of what appears to be in contention in the other part of Worthy Christian. It's a really long article but in my opinion of it even if someone approaches the study as I did and reads it in periods of time over the course of days, and just so as not to cross their eyes with all that writing on a lit Internet page, it is worth the time it takes. Because it seems like when we're all suppose to be Christians who love and hold dear Jesus Christ, we argue over who's church or denominations teachings concerning a certain set of beliefs are the one. And we seem to also be arguing , some of us anyway from what I can tell, that other peoples church, or denomination, are totally off and not of Christ at all. That's kinda mean. And even when Jesus corrected people he may have used flowery language, like calling them vipers, but he still loved them enough to set them straight. And after all aren't we all who are in the heart of Christ suppose to come at one another in that same love he has for us? This link below like I said may seem huge in the scope of an information page but it may help clear up what seems to be really passionate people taking sides on the topic of doctrine.   9. I'm a former Oneness Pentecostal, also known as Apostolics or Jesus Only; I was involved with them in London, England in the last 1980s. Would anyone like to ask me some questions about them?   10. “42And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. 43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.” (Luke 23:42, KJV). The repentant thief asks Jesus to remember him when he came into his kingdom, please notice that this noun is a singular. To which Jesus replies that today (that very day), the thief would accompany Christ in his kingdom, which he called "paradise" implying that at that very time God’s kingdom was then a present event, Christ ruling over both the faithful dead saints, as well as his faithful servants then living upon the earth. So notice that the thief assumes, and Christ's reply accepts, that there is only one single Kingdom, over which the thief hopes, and Christ then confirms that he will then become a part of this single Kingdom. Christ didn't tell the thief that there are actually two different kingdoms, as in some more extreme dispensational theology; firstly the Kingdom of God and secondly the Kingdom of Heaven, and that Christ will place him into one of these two (plural) kingdoms. There is only one Kingdom! My theology is on the whole mostly covenant theology (reformed). I mean no disrespect to the dispensationalists, but can those of the more extreme flavour prove their claim to multiple Kingdoms?
  11. ‘I and my Father are one.’ (John 10:30, KJV). ‘ego kai ho patar ev esmen: (John 10:30: The Nestles Greek text). ‘I ((Subject)) and ((conjunction)) my Father ((object)) are ((verb 1st-person-plural)) one ((adjective)).’ (John 10:30, KJV). Oneness Pentecostals (Apostolics), and I used to be one back in the 1980s, would need to explain the use of the verb ‘to be,’ which a first person plural at John 10:30; ‘I and my Father (we) are one.’ This verse does not record Jesus as saying; ‘I am the Father,’ for such a direct claim by Jesus to be God the Father, would have included the verb ‘to be’ in the first person singular: ‘I am.’ But Jesus at John 10:30 instead applies a plural verb to both the Father and also to the Son; ‘are’ as in ‘we are,’ which is the verb ‘to be,’ (esmen) a present tense, in first person plural. This is why he specifically claimed to be God’s Son, and not God the Father himself at John 10:36; ‘Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?’ Secondly, why is the Greek neuter word ‘hen’ for ‘one’ used at John 10:30 rather than the masculine Greek word for “one,” which is the Greek ‘heis?’ This masculine word is always used in the Greek, to describe God as ‘one’ in the strictly numeric sense, and so logically it would be the only word which Jesus could use to claim that he is himself really God the Father in an absolute and literal sense. So the neuter word ‘hen,’ just means to be ‘one in agreement’ or to be ‘one in unity’ with another person, it’s used that way at 1st Corinthians 3:8, where Paul planted and Apollos watered so that were one (hen), which doesn’t mean that Paul is claiming that he was Apollos! Paul is just saying that they worked together as a team, but not that they were both the same one person! As a former Oneness Pentecostal, allow me to warn people against this error, which is sweeping through and taking over nominally Trinitarian Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches around the world. I was once a Oneness Pentecostal (Apostolic), way way back in the later 1980s, I left and became a Trinitarian after I had written a tract for them, promoting the Oneness view of Water Baptism and offering £1,000 if anyone could disprove the Oneness claim that you must be baptised with the formula: Lord Christ Christ in order to be saved. I live in the south-west of the UK (Plymouth) and no longer attend any fellowship, as that would be too painful to me, but I see the main Oneness claims (i.e. that Jesus is God the Father, and that the baptismal formula is Lord Jesus Christ), taking over so many individual believers in local fellowships, which nominally are Trinitarian, but within which elders and other leaders teach exactly as they choose, which is often anti-Trinitarian! The church situation here in the UK is so bad as to be dire beyond belief, you can't even sit down and discuss the Bible with religious people, they switch off the moment you try to discuss scripture. GOD TV has had a big part to play in this.

  16. Five Minute Theology (updated from May 8, 2015) I recently purchased a small book entitled "Concise Theology - A Guide to Historic Christian Beliefs" by J.I. Packer. I think the book is excellent, and it is what is describes itself as. Each topic in the book is only a page, or a page and a half, so it is truly concise. The topics also cite scripture verse addresses to support the conclusions. The book is also easy to understand for most people I think, assuming that they have normal capacity for understanding, and God's grace of the Holy Spirit to enable them to understand and accept spiritual truths. I was calling this, "Five Minute Theology, because that is about how much time it takes to read each topic. Those who are not born again, might have difficulty accepting it, as they do many things of God, and of course, even believers have trouble accepting and understanding the things of God at times. If that were not true, then all believers would agree on all doctrines, and likely denominations would be far less common or important. Copyright issues will keep me from posting the entire book online, but I thought perhaps, some people might be interested in reading a chapter at a time, so I thought perhaps I could quote small amounts of it at a time, in the Bible Study room of the Arrow Chat or Comet Chat feature of Worthychat. For those who choose to participate, they will not receive a seminary level degree of instruction on Christian theology, but they will come away knowing the basics of historic Christian theology, which in my estimation, would bring them easily into the upper 5% of believers, in terms of knowing what the church has believed and accepted, as the teaching of the Bible, concerning faith and practice. This amounts to, essentially, an elaborate statement of faith. My idea is to paste quotes of this book, into the room, and those present may read these quotes. Then afterward, if people have questions, or want to comment or otherwise discuss what was posted, they are of course, welcomed to do so. Now, of course theologians and lay Christians alike, disagree over so details or peripheral theology, and that will be no different here, so there may be some debate, some disagreement on some points discussed. This is okay, that can be done as long as people are willing and able to be civil and respectful in their discussions. For those who do not care to attend this event, or do not want to participate in the discussion and or just hate debate and disagreement, the regular section of Worthychat is open for them, without be disturbed by the activities in the Bible Study room. My hope and goal here, is that this will prove to be both instructional, and edifying, and that the discussion of these topics, will add a dimension of depth for our chatters, that is too often absent at times. We had the first chat session in July of 2015. I cannot commit to the frequency of these events, but I hope to make them a regular feature. This is still a bit of an experiment. Our chatters come from every time zone, and some have schedules which will keep them from participating no matter what time is chosen. This is a problem for which I know no solution. Possibly, it can be reduced by doing this at more that one day of the week, or hour of the day, we'll have to see. There are 94 topics, so as you can see, if we did this once a week, this would take about one year and 9 and a half months to finish. That is a big commitment for those who would want to attend, and for the one leading. Of course, chatters do not have to commit to attendance, but I do not think there is a chatter who would not benefit from attending. Of course, if you are interested, you can always just purchase and read read the book , but my thinking is, that we would or could benefit, from the discussion of the topics. Perhaps, we could even do more than one topic per week, I would be interested in hearing your thoughts and suggestions - about if you would be interested in participation, and best of good times to do this, etc. I am going to disable comments on this post here in my "Thoughts and Rants Blog" - I put this here for the exposure.   17. I am posing those two questions, because I believe they have two different answers. I think that as Christians, many of us may have an inaccurate or incomplete understanding of God's love. My hope here is to initiate a conversation, wherein the participants can bring out a fuller understanding of God's love, than many of us currently understand. I feel sure that there are many here, who are mature in the word, and can contribute to this topic. I hope that each post has information to offer, not just an opinion of a yes or know, as if this was a poll. I good read, and an excellent free resource, is by noted New Testament scholar, Don Carson. I reserve the right to close this topic, if it gets ridiculously redundant, bitter, or so long that it is in danger of intimidating new readers because of it's length. I know some will not read threads, when the post count gets really high. They may have an interest in the topic, but do not want to wade through a tedious amount of verbiage. If I decide to close it, I will probably add a final post with a bulleted list of all the points you were able to develop about God's love from the pages of scripture.
