  1. Hebrews 11:1 - "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Christianity without faith is like a computer without electricity: the circuits of "proper knowledge" may be in place, but there is no light, no power nor functionality, Hebrews 11:6 - "But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him." 1 Peter 5:8 - "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour." The enemy is terrified when God's children come into the true knowledge of who they are in Christ, all that Jesus won for them on the cross, and what they were created to do (God's PURPOSE for their life) -- because he knows that if they step into their true identity in Christ, they will walk in authority against his evil schemes and advance God's Kingdom (displacing His). Believing lies creates a victim mentality, and creates a vulnerablility consciousness which is succeptable to accusing God of not being just or faithful. Affirmations: IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST I TAKE AUTHORITY OVER THE ACCUSATIONS THAT THE DEVIL HAS BEEN SPEAKING IN MY MIND. HE'S BEEN TELLING ME ALL THE REASONS THAT I SHOULDN'T HAVE ANY HOPE. EACH ACCUSATION IS MET WITH "IT IS WRITTEN." THE HOLY SPIRIT IS OPERATING IN ME RIGHT NOW TO GET ME OUT OF EVERY MESS I HAVE CREATED, BOTH INTENTIONALLY OR UNINTENTIONALLY. MY HEART IS REPENTANT, THEREFORE I AM FORGIVEN. BY AFFIRMING AND MEDITATING ON GOD'S WORD, GOD IS HELPING ME WALK OUT OF THE PROBLEMS THAT HAVE TRIED TO GRIP MY MIND AND MY LIFE. I DECLARE THIS BY FAITH IN JESUS' NAME. Song of Solomon 2:12 - "The flowers have appeared on the earth: the pruning-time is come, and the voice of the turtledove is heard in our land." THE VOICE OF THE TURTLEDOVE - THE HUMANITY OF CHRIST - INVITES YOU TO LOSE YOURSELF AND HIDE YOURSELF WITH HIM IN THE BOSOM OF THE FATHER. CHRIST CALLS YOU TO "OUR LAND" BECAUSE HE HAS WON IT FOR YOU BY HIS REDEMPTION. THE FLOWERS THAT GROW THERE NEVER FADE, FOR THEY HAVE NO FEAR OF WINTER COMING AGAIN. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  2. 1 Corinthians 15:24 - "Then the end will come; Christ will overcome all spiritual rulers, authorities, and powers, and hand over the Kingdom to God the Father." THIS IS THE HUMILITY OF CHRIST -- WHAT HE CONQUERS, HE THEN SURRENDERS. IN HUMILITY ABRAHAM TAKES ISAAC, AND OFFERS HIM BACK TO GOD. DAVID CONQUERS JERUSALEM, THEN DEDICATES IT TO THE LORD, CALLING IT THE "CITY OF GOD". WHAT WE HAVE BEEN BLESSED WITH THROUGH FAITH WE NOW OFFER BACK TO GOD. John 16:13 - "However, when He comes who is the Spirit of truth, he will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but will tell only what He hears; and He will make known to you the things that are coming." The deep things of God are known only to Him, but are revealed to us through His Spirit. That is the promise of 1 Corinthians 2. Indisputably, our great desire is to soar in the Spirit and obtain revelations of God's nature, power, strategy, and insight. However, to best accommodate this great privilege, we must be firmly "rooted and grounded" in Him. We must "Go deep in order to go high!" WE MUST BE: 1. Rooted and grounded in love (Ephesians 3:17). 2. Rooted and grounded in faith (Understanding Christ's finished work, who we are in Christ and our inheritance in Christ.) 3. Rooted and grounded in truth (Understanding God's Purpose for our life - our CALLING in Christ.) The more firmly we are grounded, the more capable we become to penetrate Heaven by the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation and embrace insight with understanding. AFFIRMATIONS: I confess that I am led by the Spirit of God! Because I cooperate with Him, I don't waste valuable time, energy, or money, and I don't shed a lot of unnecessary tears. He leads me past every attack: He helps me avoid each strategy of the devil; and He safely guides me to the place where God wants me to be! Song of Solomon 2:11 - "For lo! the winter is past, the rain is over and gone." YOU COULD HAVE FROZEN FROM THE EXCESSIVE COLD OR BEEN OVERWHELMED BY THE SNOWS AND STORMS OF SINS. INSTEAD, YOU BECOME STRONG DURING THE TIME WHEN YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED THE LORD WITHIN WHILE THE STORMS WERE RAGING WITHOUT. THE COLD HAS DESTROYED ALL THE INSECTS - THAT IS, THINGS THAT WERE FORMERLY ACTIVE IN YOU AND WOULD HAVE DESTROYED YOU. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  3. Romans 10:17 - "So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing, by the word of God." Notice that it does not say, faith comes from "having heard." The whole nature of faith implies a relationship with God that is current. The emphasis is on hearing.......in the now! Faith has its anchor in the unseen realm. It lives from the invisible toward the visible. Faith actualizes what it realizes. Faith has focus and purpose. Faith grabs hold of the reality of the Kingdom and forcefully and violently brings it into a collision with this natural one. An inferior kingdom cannot stand. For one who has faith in the Word of God, there is nothing impossible. There are no impossibilites when there is faith..........and there are no exceptions. Observation: IF I WANT TO KEEP ADVANCING MY FAITH, I HAVE TO BE PLANTED. I PLANT MYSELF IN A PLACE WHERE THE WORD IS PREVALENT AND THE PEOPLE AROUND ME ARE CONTINUALLY SPEAKING AND LIVING IT. 2 Corinthians 3:18 - "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." Affirmations: I CONFESS THAT BY GOD'S GRACE, I AM MAKING MY PRESENT SITUATION MORE AND MORE GLORIOUS! I ALLOW GOD TO CHANGE ME SO THIS PRESENT SEASON OF MY LIFE CAN BECOME GLORIOUS. BECAUSE THE HOLY SPIRIT SEES MY WILLINGNESS TO GO THROUGH THE NECESSARY TRANSFORMATION PROCESS, HE IS PREPARING TO MOVE ME UPWARD INTO A MORE GLORIOUS PHASE IN MY LIFE. I AM GOING FROM GLORY TO GLORY! Song of Solomon 2:10 - Behold, my beloved speaks to me and says, "Rise up, my love, my dove, my fair one, and come." GOD TURNS YOU WITHIN, TOWARD HIM, AND PREPARES YOU FOR UNION WITH HIM THROUGH HIS HOLY EMBRACE. THE BELOVED (JESUS) SPEAKS TO YOU AND INVITES YOU TO COME QUICKLY OUT OF YOURSELF. HE NO LONGER ASKS YOU TO REST, BUT COMMANDS YOU TO RISE UP. " I HAVE LED YOU DEEPLY WITHIN TO FIND ME; NOW I COME OUT AND ASK YOU TO FOLLOW ME OUT OF YOURSELF." THIS IS A CALL TO DEPART FROM YOUR SELF-NATURE. YOU MUST LOSE POSSESSION OF YOURSELF IN ORDER TO BE POSSESSED BY GOD ALONE. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  4. 1 Peter 1:23 - "Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever." POWER IN PRAYER IS NOT BASED ON EMOTIONS, FEELINGS, OR THE THEORIES OF MEN, BUT UPON THE WORD OF GOD, OUR AGREEMENT WITH IT, OUR ONENESS WITH CHRIST, WHO IS THE LIVING WORD, AND OUR UNITY WITH GOD'S PURPOSES AND WILL. Hebrews 10:38 - "Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him." Knowing that you are on the rock foundation of Matthew 16:18,19 and able to bind and to loose -- having that living faith that you can pray and know you have the answer because of God's promises, and the fact that Jesus said, "If Ye believe." It is on this rock that our faith must be based, and this will never fail; God has established it forever. Affirmations: I REFUSE TO RELINQUISH ANY OF MY GOD-PROMISED TERRITORY! MY FAITH IS TOUGH, RESISTANT, PERSISTENT, OBSTINATE, AND STUBBORN. MY SPIRIT IS SO TENACIOUS THAT IT REFUSES TO LET GO! IT ISN'T A QUESTION OF "IF" MY VICTORY WILL COME - IT'S ONLY A QUESTION OF "WHEN" IT WILL COME! Song of Solomon 1:4 - "Draw me (The Believer)! We (The Church) will run after you (Jesus)! The king (Jesus) brings me into his apartments! We will be glad and rejoice in you! We will recall your love, more fragrant than wine. The upright love you." NOW HIS BRIDE IS FILLED WITH UNSPEAKABLE JOY FOR SHE KNOWS THAT SHE IS FOUND IN HIM (JESUS). SHE PREFERS THE BRIDEGROOM (JESUS) OVER EVERYHING ELSE. HERE IS THE HEIGHT OF HER JOY AND PLEASURE. Psalm 105:4 - "Seek, inquire of and for the Lord, and crave Him and His strength; seek and require His face and His presence continually evermore." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  5. 1. What is the pivot point of all Christianity? Answer: Jesus' substitution and our identification with it. Jesus was made to be sin for us. He never committed sin but he became the nature of sin. To the extent that I realize that Jesus was made to be sin, that is how much I will see myself as the righteousness of God in Him. "He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." - 2 Corinthians 5:21 "He died for all, so that they who live might no longer liver for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again on their behalf." - 2 Corinthians 5:15 "I am crucified, with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me." - Galatians 2:20 2. What comes as a result of your first seeking the kingdom of God and His righteousness? Answer: God loves me with the same love that He loves Jesus. I have as much right to expect God to move on my behalf as I would expect Him to respond to Jesus. "When that day comes you will not ask me for anything. I tell you the truth; my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name." - John 16:23 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he willl do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father." - John 14:12 "I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing." - John 15:5 3. Why was David victorious against Goliath? Answer: He saw God on his side. He knew he was in right standing with God and God was for him. "What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who is against us?" - Riomans 8:31 "But in all these things we over-whelmingly conquer through Him who loved us." - Romans 8:37 "For you have made the Lord, my refuge, even the Most High your dwelling place. For He will give His angels charge concerning you, To guard you in all your ways." - Psalm 91:9,11 4. What is the effect of righteousness? Answer: Quietness and assurance. "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul." - Psalm 23:1-3 "To grant us that we, being rescued from the hand of our enemies, might serve Him without fear, in Holiness and righteousness before Him all our days." - Luke 1:74,75 "For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus, having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God." - Philippians 1:6,11 5. When is it that nothing can prevail against you? Answer: When I can be confident of God's willingness to use His power in my behalf because of my right standing with Him. I have no need to fear what Satan or man can do to me. "For everyone born of God, has overcome the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith." - 1 John 5:4 "But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth." - 1 John 2:20 "But the Lord is faithful and will give you strength and will protect you from the Evil One." - 2 Thessalonians 3:3 INTO ACTION: Affirm and meditate on the indicated scriptures several times daily until the renewing of your mind is made real to your spirit. AFFIRMATIONS: Since God is for me, who can sucessfully come against me? (Romans 8:31) I am more than a conquerer since nothing can separate me from the love of Christ. (Romans 8:37,39) I am sincere and without offence, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ unto the glory and praise of God.(Philippians1:10,11) ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  6. Why is it that a lot of Christians are scared to truly live by faith, physically, mentally, spiritually in every moment. Is it because we just don't measure up to God's power?
  7. 1 John 3:16 - "Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down His life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren." Observation: WHEN I WANT GOD ABOVE ALL, I AM WILLING - AS CHRIST WAS WILLING - TO FOLLOW THE HOLY SPIRIT, EVEN IN THE MOST DRY AND DARK AND PAINFUL TIMES. WHEN I SEE WITH THE EYES OF FAITH THAT THIS IS THE SPIRITUAL MEANING OF THE CROSS, I WILL KNOW HOW TO IMITATE CHRIST AND DO WHAT HE DID. Matthew 15:29 - "And He said, 'Come.' And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus". In the purest sense Peter did not rest His weight upon the water; He stood upon Christ's Word: "COME!" Peter trusted that if Jesus told him to do the impossible -- even to walk on the water -- the power to obey woud be inherent within the command. Hebrews 10:24 - "And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works." OBSERVATION: Because I constantly observe and contemplate others to know how to encourage and provoke them to love and to good works and as I reach out to assist them with words of strength -- they are becoming better, stronger, and bolder in the Lord. Affirmations: I AM EXTREMELY CONSCIOUS OF THE WORKINGS OF CHRIST AND OF GOD'S ENERGY AT WORK IN ME. I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. (Matthew 5:14) I AM A LAMP, NOT HIDDEN ANYMORE, BECAUSE GOD IS FILLING ME WITH THE EFFECTUAL WORKINGS OF CHRIST--THE EFFECTUAL WORD IN ME AS A BEACON TO ALL WHO ARE IN THE WORLD. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  8. Luke 8:14 -- "The seed among the thorns represents those who listen and believe God's words but whose faith afterwards is choked out by worry and riches and the responsibilities and pleasures of life. And so they are never able to help anyone else to believe the Good News." Your enemy wants to subdue your awareness and release a slumbering spirit. In this state he can sell you on giving in to a comfortable life thereby causing a corpse-like complacency. You will always avoid the challenges of breaking out of the box into the maximum life that Jesus died to get you into. The phrase "out of the box" means that someone or something has broken out from its barriers. It also means that someone has outgrown their history and has gone beyond their limitations. QUESTIONS TO ASK MYSELF: What is choking the Christ life and preventing break-out in my life? What action am I going to take to confront and eradicate these limitations? ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  9. In Ezekiel 37, the Prophet Ezekiel was carried in the Spirit to a valley of dry bones. These bones represented the house of Israel, but also speak of structures, as well as anything that has been dead for so long it no longer even resembles its former appearance. God led Ezekiel to walk around the dry bones, and in verse 2, the Bible makes three things very clear: 1. Ezekiel had to walk around the bones very many times. 2. The amount of bones was enormous, so much so that they couldn't be counted. 3. The bones were very dry. The amount of detail that the Prophet goes into about the bones speaks to the fact that he was in the midst of a situation that he could not easily escape, walk through, or just gloss over. God specifically had him going around in circles so that he could get a detailed look at the condition of the bones he was in the midst of. CONFRONTING OUR IMPOSSIBLE SITUATIONS In the same way, many of us have been in the midst of situations we could not escape. Every time it seems like we get free, it seems like we're right back in the same place we started out! Season after season, over and over again, we're made to go around the same problems and issues! Walking around a dead situation long enough can sometimes dampen even the most brilliant and powerful faith! However, it's just these times where God comes to us and asks us like He asked Ezekiel, "Can these dry bones live?" After you have heard the darkest and most depressing news, do you still believe that God is able? God's question to Ezekiel was never about the bones. What God was really asking Ezekiel was, "Where is the limit to your faith?" After seeing all the death and devastation, God needs someone who will rise up and declare, "MY GOD IS STILL ABLE!" That is what God is looking for TODAY! God needs your voice to declare His power! Someone around you needs to hear that God is still able to save, heal, deliver, defend, provide, heal, and bring victory! The answer our generation gives to the question of "Can these bones live?" is going to determine the level of breakthrough that we experience. START PROPHESYING! When God saw Ezekiel's faith arise to the challenge, the answer was simple: START PROPHESYING! He told Ezekiel to prophesy to the dry bones and command them to listen to the Word of the Lord! Right now creation is moaning and groaning, waiting for the Word of the Lord to bring forth God's manifestation, but it can't because the sons have not arisen to declare the Word of the Lord! As Ezekiel began to prophesy and declare God's will, the release of faith and authority began to cause a shaking! Right now God is shaking things loose in the heavenlies and in the earth! As the Bible says in Haggai 2:6, "For thus saith the LORD of hosts; 'Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land...'" THE WIND OF DESTINY Right now, God is releasing a fresh wind upon us, the wind of destiny, to blow us into our PURPOSE and into our CALLING! Winds are the vehicle of the spirit realm. From Moses to Elijah, even to the Day of Pentecost, the winds of God have all played a part in bringing God's will into the earth! Ezekiel 37:9 - "Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man.." Declare today that the four winds are about to bring you into your place of purpose, power, prosperity, and passion as you are delivered into your DESTINY! • Declare that the winds of destiny are being released over you right now! • Declare that the north wind is bringing forth God's presence and rain! • Declare that the east wind is blowing to bring judgment to the forces of darkness in your life and release you into righteousness! • Declare that the west wind of God is bringing forth God's mercy and God's miracles in your life! • Declare that the south wind is releasing God's blessing and provision as you walk according to His ways! This is your finest hour! Receive the winds of your God-given DESTINY and rejoice! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  10. Romans 5:5 - "And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given unto us." Observation: ACTING IN LOVE WHEN OTHERS ARE NOT ACTING IN LOVE TOWARD ME - THIS IS THE HIGHEST VALUE TO MY SOUL. LOVE IS THE PATH ON WHICH I WALK AS CLOSELY AS IS POSSIBLE TO THOSE WHO ARE ALREADY LIVING IN THE LIFE ETERNAL. THE MORE I FOLLOW LOVE THE MORE MY OLD SELF IS CONSUMED AND DIES. Galatians 5:22 - "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith." Proverbs 18:21 - "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." Affirmation: I SPEAK GOD'S WORDS CONTINUALLY, AND THEN WATCH THE HOLY SPIRIT BLAST THE MOUNTAINS OF OBSTACLES OUT OF MY WAY. Psalm 77:12 - "I will meditate also of all Thy work, and talk of Thy doings." What I think about the most will grow the strongest in me. Joshua 1:8 - "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night." "Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." - Ephesians 5:20 Thankfulness takes the sting out of adversity. That is why He has instructed us to give thanks for everything. There is an element of mystery in this transaction: You give Him thanks (regardless of your feelings), and He gives you Joy (regardless of your circumstances). This is a spiritual act of obedience—at times, blind obedience. Thankfulness opens your heart to His Presence and your mind to His thoughts, enabling you to see from His perspective. It is this Light of His Presence that removes the sting from adversity. "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever." - Psalm 118:1 "Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, O Lord." - Psalm 89:15 ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  11. John 4:24 - "God is a Spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth." Observation: My true heart's desire is what attracts Him, like a fragrance rising on the air. He whispers delicately all the while to my inmost being -- and until now I have tried to follow Him on my own, and failed. Now He will show me how to follow Him in Spirit. Matthew 17:17 - "Then Jesus answered and said, 'O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.'" Jesus made it clear to the disciples that the gift of God would remain dormant in them if they could not believe. OBSERVATION: When we walk in fear, doubt, and rembrance of failures we are robbed of our boldness, and we become unable to step out in God's ablilty. Jeremiah 32:17 - "Alas, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! There is nothing too hard or too wonderful for You." Affirmation: I AM NEVER AS FAR FROM A MIRACLE AS IT FIRST APPEARS. OBSERVATION: The spirit of the resurrected Christ is in you -- find it. That discovery releases extraordinary faith. It's the discovery of the person in you -- that partnership positions you to redefine the nature of the world around you. Matthew 7:7 - "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  12. John 5:17 - "My Father is always at His work to this very day, and I, too, am working." Because we are so prone to neglecting and forgetting about the needs of other people, we think that God is capable of being slothful toward us -- and so we acuse Him of neglecting us when circumstances become painful, or simply not to our liking. John 14:16 - "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever." Matthew 13:14 - "In them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah: You will be ever hearing but never understanding; you will look and look and not see." As long as we see only with our bodily eyes, we will continue to live like a blind captive, fumbling around inside a prison cell in the dark of night -- while all the time the door that leads to our freedom stands open. Ephesians 1:18 - "I pray that your inward eyes my be illumined, so that you know what is the hope to which he calls you." Proverbs 29:18 - "Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he that keepeth the law, happy is he." When God gives you a vision, it's inspiring. Waiting is the hard part. We must remember not to grow weary in well-doing because we'll reap in due season if we don't faint (Galatians 6:9). We must also remember that we inherit the promises of God through faith and patience (Hebrews 6:12). And we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). If you don't give up, if you're diligent to keep declaring the vision, it will come to pass in the kairos moment. God is not a man that He should lie or the son of man that He should repent. As the Lord told Habakkuk, "If it delays, wait for it; it will surely come, it will not delay." - Habakkuk 2:3 Affirmations: I HUNGER FOR AND VIGOROULSLY PURSUE REVELATION. I CRY OUT DAY AND NIGHT FOR THE FULLNESS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. I COME INTO AGREEMENT WITH THE FATHER TO RELEASE ME INTO THE THINGS HE HAS PREDESTINED ME FOR SINCE BEFORE THE BEGINING OF THE WORLD. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  13. Hebrews 4:1-3 - "Let us fear therefore, lest haply a promise being left us of entering into His rest, any of you should seem to have come short of it....because they were not united by faith with them that heard. For we which have believed do enter into that rest.." We speak, with Scripture, of the "rest" of faith. Faith, however, only gives rest because it rests in God; it rests because it allows God to do all; the rest is in God Himself. It is His own divine rest into which we enter by faith -- in the entire surrender to Him, to His will and His working, that we may have perfect rest, that we dare to cast ourselves upon God, and have no care. BECAUSE CHRIST HAS: put away sin, has rent the veil, and is set down on the right hand ofof the throne, because all is finished and perfected, we have received the Holy Spirit from heaven in our hearts to make us the partakers of that glorified Christ, we may with confidence, with boldness, rest in Him to maintain and perfect His work in us in our individual CALLING in Christ. And, resting in Him, He becomes our Joshua (bringing us in and perfecting our faith) and giving us a home in the rest of God with Himself, now to go no more out -- forever. JESUS IS OUR JOSHUA Let us do what Israel did in crossing the Jordan; they allowed Joshua to bring them in; they followed him. Let us follow Jesus in the path He trod. In heaven God's will is all. On earth Jesus lived in the will of God, in suffering and doing, in meeting trial, in waiting for the Father's guidance; in giving up everything to it, He proved that God's will was His path. FOLLOW HIM We yelid ourselves in the death to self, to the will of God; having faith in Jesus on the throne, as our Head and life, that He has brought us in and will make it true in our experience -- we trust Jesus, by being a partaker of His nature and life, to work all in us that the Father has PURPOSED for our individual life -- and we shall know how blessed it is to enter the rest of God. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  14. Ephesians 2:1 - "But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ." The basic purpose of the cross is more than reconciling us to God; it also brings us back to Himself in the close, intimate relationship that He originally intended to have with men. He wants to bring us near. It is in that place that we find the glory and anointing needed to transform atmospheres on earth. We are called to be the carriers of His glory. Christ in you is the hope of Glory (Colossians 1:27). It is the glory of God that makes that difference. By laying hold of Jesus, we lay hold of the glory of the Holy Spirit allowing Him to manifest in us and through us. Hebrews 10:22 - "Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water." Romans 8:29 - "For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren." Affirmation: AS I REACH FOR CHRISTLIKENESS, MY LOVE FOR GOD BECOMES RICHER, MY WITNESS TO SINNERS MORE POWERFUL, AND MY SECRET LIFE HOLY. 2 Kings 5:10 - "And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in the Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean." Observation: AS I DIP IN THE LIVING WATER OF GOD'S WORD AND SUBMERGE MYSELF IN THE ANOINTING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT - THE WORLD WILL SEE AN EVENT THAT TRANSCENDS HUMAN POWER. THEY WILL WONDER AT THE DIVINE INTERVENTION BY GOD INTO MY CIRCUMSTANCES. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  15. When I'm lonely I always go to God! But as a human we need other humans to interact with. I come from a background where I was shut off from the real word! Now I'm trying to become a better person but I find it a little bit displeasing! Why do I say that? Because I feel like I have no "friends" and I especially have no one to talk to! Right now the only person I can talk to is in jail(my boyfriend). And I just feel like I'm becoming worse everyday! When I get angry (which is everyday ) I use the tongue of the devil! I just want to overcome this and know where and how to start ! Any and every advice is welcomed, I really appreciate it.
  16. Beware of huge wall of text. I was saved when i was 14 years old. For a whole year, i followed God wholeheartedly. I was made new in Christ. I loved Jesus so much, i strived to be as perfect as i could. I was all about God. Well, about a year later, something in me changed. The nagging of the world pulled and clawed at me.. being a 15 year old little girl, i wanted nothing else but to be like everyone else. I wanted to just fit in. (I had a lot else going on in my life that made me feel such things). So, i gave in to temptation. I decided to drop the faith and turn into everyone else. Well, 5 years later, now 20 years old, i find myself in need of Him. I've been struggling internally with life. Everything is hitting me in the face and i am now faced with the realities and responsibilities of being an adult. I must say, i thought i was going to be 15 forever. I am not ready to move so quickly into this new way of living. Anyway, back to the point. About a week ago, i was so desperate that i knew i needed God. I knew if i just came back to him, i would have peace in my soul about my life. But.. alas, after repentance and admitting my all, i feel nothing. It's nearly impossible for me to focus on the bible. I just can't get interested. Nothing is new to me, my eyes arent opening to anything new. I dont feel my spirit growing and even though i try to pray everyday and feed my spirit what i can, like through watching teachings on Youtube from Paul Washer for example, i dont feel any closer to God. I get easily distracted with the world and i dont know.. i just dont feel that different. I dont have that same fever, if you will, for God. The fire is just dead. I feel so lost. I feel like God spewed me out of his mouth and wants nothing to do with me.. or like.. cant help me anymore because thats just what he feels like, hes done with me. I need him so badly though.. even though im not totally ready to give up my old life, i know i need him and i know i have to let all of this go. Its just difficult to change out of the blue like this. Its almost like a shock, its still sinking in. But i want to change for Him. I want to have the relationship we used to have.. but i am so dead inside. I just dont know whats going on anymore...
  17. As the Lord taught in the Parable of the Sower, many will depart when testing comes. Many depart from Church, and many are now even departing from pursuing their CALLING in Christ when the tests come. You can never pass a test by quitting. 1 Peter 1:7 AMP - "So that the genuinenes of your faith may be tested, your faith which is infinitely more precious than the perishable gold which is tested and purified by fire....." OUR CONNECTION TO GOD AND ONE ANOTHER The Cross is a vertical post that represents our connection to God and a horizontal one that represents our connection to one another. One thing that taking up our cross means is that we must have both of these in our lives. Of course, our connection to God eclipses the importance of our connection to one another and must always be kept first. But if we have this and keep it first, we will also have the other. As John also wrote, we cannot love God who we do not see if we do not love our brother who we can see (see I John 4:20-21). John 20:21 -- "Just as the Father has sent me forth so I am sending you." This is certainly a command of Jesus for the Body of Christ to meet the needs (both temporal and spiritual) of new believers so they may indeed advance in the faith. The humbling service of DISCIPLING a new believer into: WHO HE IS IN CHRIST, HIS RIGHT STANDING WITH GOD, AND WALKING IN THE SPIRIT is the most valuable Christian service someone can minister to someone who has just had the "born again" experience. OLD THOUGHT PROCESSES In order for the church to advance into her destiny there are old thought processes that need to be dismantled: 1. The idea that higher spiritual advancement and development is reserved for the clergy. 2. The idea that spiritual training and discipling is the sole responsibility of the pastor and/or elders. 3. The idea that it takes years in the faith to be able to DISCIPLE other believers. 4. The idea that the only thing the laity is to be involved in is Church programs and listening to sermons. Submitting to DISCIPLESHIP training develops a "personal ministry to others consciousness" in the believer as well as promotes unity and brotherly love in the fellowship of the Body of Christ. 18. Mark 11:22,23 - "And Jesus answering saith unto them, 'Have faith in God. For verily I SAY unto you, That whosoever shall SAY unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall BELIEVE that those things which he SAITH shall come to pass: he shall have whatsoever he SAITH.'" Faith operates by believing and saying...and saying.....and saying. Affirmation: IT IS MY CONFESSION, OR WORDS OF FAITH, THAT BRINGS POSSESSION. Matthew 13;37 - "For by thy words thou shalt be justified and by thy words thou shalt be condemned." Acts 16;25,26 - "And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed." Paul and Silas chose not to focus on what they were going through; they chose to focus on what was happening through them. God's faithfulness is triggered by our faith, while praise brings us into His presence. When we praise God, He raises us out of our situation. When we find ourselves in trouble, we use praise as a key to unlock the "prison doors" of our circumstances. No matter what is going on in our life -- we fill our mouth with the high praises of God! 2 Timothy 2:24,26 - "And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will." Anything broken can be repaired; anything closed can be opened; anything lost can be recovered. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  19. Isaiah 6:2,3 - "Seraphim stood above Him, each having six wings; with two he covered his face, and with two he covered his feet, and with two he flew. And one called out to another and said, 'Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts, the whole earth is full of His glory."' Observation: I WILL SEE HIS GLORY ALSO IF I WILL DWELL IN HIS PRESENCE. WHEN I BEHOLD HIS GLORY I AM CHANGED INTO A DEMONSTRATION OF IT. Job 3:25 - "For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me." Observation: FEAR IS FAITH IN SATAN, BELIEVING IN HIS ABILITY TO HURT ME. Romans 10:8 - "But what says it? The word is near thee, even in your mouth, and in your heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach." His Word is not just a comfort to us in times of trouble but a sword that we wield in times of spiritual war. His faithful Word is what we proclaim over our CALLINGin Christ, our family, our church, our city and our nation! Many Christians are awakened spiritually, but they do not know God's promises in the Bible. To be successful, we must know God's Word, believe it, MEDITATEon it, and SPEAK it with faith. We overcome by the "word of our testimony." Proclaim the Word of God with authority. Indeed, the Holy Spirit tells us to take up "the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God" (Ephesians 6:17). If we advance protected by the Blood of the Lamb, if we war armed with the Word of God, and if we shoulder in our hearts the Cross of Christ, we will truly be "more than conquerors through Him that loved us" (Romans 8:37). Affirmation: MY DESTINY IS IN MY MOUTH. ITS MY WORDS - NOT ANYONE ELSE'S - THAT DETERMINE MY SUCCESS OR FAILURE. Hebrews 3:1 - "Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Christ Jesus." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  20. Romans 10:10 - "For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." When you believed in your heart and confessed with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord -- when you received Him as your savior -- that is call the "Great Confession." But if you do not know how to fight the good fight of faith -- how to stay in the faith fight until you win -- your confession becomes null, void, powerless, and of no use to you in this life. The Lord does not want us worrying about the future; He wants us to create it through the knowledge of His will for our lives (our DESTINY in Christ), through the proclamation of His Word – which is the "sword of the Spirit" (Ephesians 6:17) – and through our yieldedness to the power of the Holy Spirit. And then He promises, "Whoever believes in [Me] will not be disappointed" (Romans 10:11). He assures us, "All things are possible to him who believes" (Mark 9:23). Let's break the bondage of a passive spirit. Let's take up the sword of the Spirit and embrace the fight of faith! QUESTIONS TO ASK MYSELF: 1. What am I doing to fight the good fight of faith? 2. How does my confession become powerful? 3. What am I doing to build up my confession? ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  21. Ephesians 6:12 -- "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." The reality is that we're in battle. We're being prevailed against. Some of us are "losing" in the fight against sin and sickness, disease and death. Some of us are losing the battle for our kids to know Jesus. Some of us are battling for our marriages. Some of us are battling against poverty, and the very things that hinder the fulfillment of the prophetic word in our lives. War wages for the fulfillment of our very divine DESTINIES. LACK OF KNOWLEDGE Hosea 4:6 -- "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou has rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou has forgotton the law of God, I will also forget thy children." This infers that if God's people had knowledge of who they really are in Christ, of who God is, and of the rights and priveleges of their DOMINION -- they wouldn't be destroyed. As soon as we become blood-bought believers in the Lord Jesus Christ, we're thrust behind enemy lines, though assured of God's protection. However, we're also reminded that we operate in an environment of spiritual terrorism. ".....We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one" (1 John 5:19). SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY John 15:7 -- "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." Jesus walked in union with His Father. We too must do the same with Him. We only have true SPIRITUAL AUTHORITY to the degree that we are abiding in Him. The angels do not respect us and the demons do not obey us because of who we are, but because of who is in us. The Bible says that the birds of the air come to snatch away the Word of God (Luke 8:5-15). The birds of the air are the demons that snatch away the Word from a man's heart, but only because a man leaves it out there unprotected. The devil cannot take away the word from our hearts if we hold it close and protect it through: Affirming It Out Loud Meditating on It, And visualizing it coming to pass in our lives. THE WORD OF OUR TESTIMONY Psalm 78:9-11 -- "The sons of Ephraim were archers equipped with bows, yet they turned back in the day of battle. They did not keep the covenant of God and refused to walk in His law; they forgot His deeds and His miracles that He had shown them." The apostle John wrote, "They overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death." (Rev. 12:11). The elements of victory are recounted to us in this passage. They overcame him by the blood of the Lamb: This means we no longer are fighting FOR victory but we fight FROM victory. Triumph is assured when we enter the battle. ACTING VIOLENTLY ON THE WORD Matthew 11:12 -- "Violent men take the Kingdom by force." It is to be understood that our battles are to be the manifestations of His victory. The ultimate challenge is not the battle itself but the decision to participate. Notice that the "armor of God"in Ephesians Chapter 6 has no protection for your back. We are ill-equipped for retreat. The shield of faith is our truth and our buckler. It's the truth of the Word of God, and it's given to every believer to quench the fiery darts of the wicked one (Eph. 6:6). But it has to be used. We are to be doers of God's Word. When we act, the shield moves when we do, even if we don't feel it. 1. We don't have the Sword of the Spirit until the Word has been made real to our spirit. 2. We don't have the Shield of Faith until we walk in that faith of who God says we are in Christ. 3. We don't have the Shoes of Peace until we get into the presence of God. 4. We don't have the Helmet of Salvation until we have a revelation of Christ's finished work on the cross. 5. We don't have the Breastplate of Righteousness until we start thinking like God thinks. 6. We don't have the Belt of Truth until the Holy Spirit leads us into the truth of the fullness of the reality of God. WE ARE HIS AUTHORITY Matthew 6:10 -- "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. God's world collides with the world of darkness, and His world always wins. Our battle is always a battle for DOMINION -- a conflict of kingdoms. God has chosen to work through us. WE ARE HIS DELEGATED AUTHORITY on planet earth, and prayer is the vehicle that gives occasion for His invasion. Those who don't pray allow darkness to continue ruling. The enemy's greatest efforts at deceiving the Church are centered on diluting the purpose and effect of prayer. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  22. 1 Corinthians 2:9 - "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for them that love Him." God gave Jesus a heaping helping of joy, peace, health and prosperity for each believer on the earth. Jesus deposited too much in each one of our accounts. Now, if we want it we've got to make a withdrawal. Faith is the withdrawal slip. Psalm 91:1 - "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty." When I fail to enter the Secret Place, my pride and self-sufficiency have been documented. Mark 11:24 - "Therefore I say unto you, what things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them." Affirmations: I KEEP THE SWITCH OF FAITH TURNED ON. WHEN I BELIEVE I RECEIVE -- FAITH IS RELEASED. I DON’T HAVE TO MAKE IT HAPPEN. I DON’T HAVE TO FEEL IT HAPPEN. IT JUST HAPPENS. THE REBORN SPIRIT IS MADE THAT WAY. Mark 5:36 - "Be not afraid, only believe." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  23. John 2:3-5 - When the wine was gone, Jesus' mother said to him, "They have no more wine." "Why do you involve me?" Jesus replied, "My time has not yet come." His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you." Jesus attended a wedding where they ran out of wine, as yet He hadn't performed any of the wonders for which He would later become known. Mary knew who her Son was and what was possible....her faith so touched the heart of the Father that He apparently changed the chosen time to unveil Jesus as the miracle worker. Her faith just made room for the extravagance of God! Faith moves heaven, so that heaven will move earth. QUESTIONS TO ASK MYSELF: 1. Name an instance today where my faith is making room for the extravagance of God. 2. What specifically am I believing God for today that I can't do myself? ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  24. James 1:4 - "But let patience have her perfect work, that you may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." The Greek word patience can be translated endurance, constancy, or being constant regardless of circumstances. Faith is dependent on patience. Patience won't let faith quit. Patience is dependent on the decision to stay on the word regardless of what gets thrown against our lives. Affirmation: VICTORY IS ALREADY MINE 1 John 4:16,17 - "And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him. Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgement; because as he is, so are we in this world." God is love, and because we are one with Him, we too are love. 2 Chronicles 12:14 - And he did evil, because he prepared not his heart to seek the Lord. When satan throws temptation your way, if you are not already prepared, it's too late. You'll probable lose the fight. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  25. Hello everyone, Im Chris and I'm currently 22 going on 23. Im in terrible need of advice as I fear I may be making a huge mistake soon, but first I want to tell you about me. I grew up in a Christian home for the most part, but I turned out to be your average rebellious teenager. I hated school, I didn't have many friends, and I was a black sheep to my family. I felt alone and angry at myself and my family, all of which prompted me to leave home and travel to another state on my own, I was 19 when I left. During my journey, I ended up homeless on the streets until a charity group led me to a Gospel Rescue mission where I came to know that Christ saves through faith and not of works. At the time, I felt a deeper understanding and connection with God, something I had never felt before. Also at the time, I made going into the U.S Navy one of my priorities. It was my dream and felt that if I could join, I could finally make my family proud of me and finally make something of myself instead of a homeless bum. After I came to know Christ, I began a new journey first through a bible program they offered. I made new friends in Christ and began to come out of my shell, I was learning new things almost everyday and I was actually happy for the first time in years! In the process I even was reconciled with my family who were actually worried about me. Even so, I kept a narrow vision and pursued the Navy. After graduation, I enrolled in college, did some job traning, and so on in preparation for enlistment. With some setbacks here and there, this process would go on to take over 3 years. And now, I have hit a wall that has prevented me from joining. Because of some medical issues, they made enlisting challenging to the point where I finally gave up on joining. This was in no way God's fault, nothing is, but it was all mine for not applying myself properly as well as my lax and nonchalant nature. I feel devastated. I feel like I've failed. My dream was now broken. I went to my pastor and told him everything. He told me to sit still and wait on the Lord, that all this time I've been seeking my own will instead of His. I agreed and began to earnestly seek the Lord. But I began to lament to the fact that I was still upset about not joining the Navy. I'm not content. My other brothers have told me to simply get a job and work to get an apartment. But this still doesn't suffice. Ive looked back on my life now and seen that I've produced very little, if any, fruit throughout the years compared to others who have gone off to start successful careers and such. I'm not as ignorant as I used to be and do feel that the Lord has used me to lead others to Christ at times, as well as used my testimony about coming off the streets. But I now see that I'm struggling with my faith. I look to my friends who are avid preachers of Christ and smile even through their problems in life. They have joy, something I just no longer have. And it is these things that make me wonder: Did I truly make Christ my personal Savior that day? Is He really the Boss of my life? Was I willing to pick up my cross and follow Him? Am I really His child? I do believe that all things work together for good to them that love Him, that for by grace are you saved through faith and not of yourselves, so no man can boast. Maybe God has used this situation to chastise and discipline me into being more obedient to Him and not to my own will. As the Word of God states "For whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom He receives". If this is scourging then I most certainly am feeling it. But due to my present circumstances, I feel my faith shaking, even after hours of earnest prayer for His will in my life. I can't shake this feeling for the pride of life. I can't shake this feeling of wanting to run off somewhere and starting all over again. I can't shake this voice telling me that He doesn't even know me and that I'm not His, that I'm not even truly born again. I'm so afraid of not being truly saved, and I'm too afraid to really tell the others of what I'm going through, despite their well meaning and prayers. I want to serve God, and I want Him to use me for His Glory. But this whole mess has paralyzed me to the point of hopelessness and depression. I just have no direction in life and I can't effectively share the Gospel in joy. I don't expect an answer that will end all my problems, but I would greatly appreciate anyone's input on this. Thank you very much in advance for your answers.
