Habakkuk 2:1-2: "I will stand on my guard post and station myself on the rampart; and I will keep watch to see what He will speak to me...Then the Lord answered me and said, 'Record the vision...'" Ways to be sure what you're hearing is from Him: TEST THE ORIGIN (1 John 4:1) Thoughts from our own minds are progressive, with one thought leading to the next. Thoughts from the Holy Spirit are spontaneous. The Hebrew word for true prophecy is "naba",which literally means to bubble up, whereas false prophecy is "ziyd" meaning to boil up. True words from the Lord will bubble up from our innermost being; we don't need to cook them up ourselves. COMPARE IT TO BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES God will never say something to you personally which is contrary to His universal revelation as expressed in the Scriptures. If the Bible clearly states that something is a sin, no amount of journaling can make it right. Much of what you journal about will not be specifically addressed in the Bible, however, so an understanding of Biblical principles is also needed. COMPARE IT TO THE NAMES AND CARACTER OF GOD REVEALED IN THE BIBLE Anything God says to you will be in harmony with His essential nature. Journaling will help you get to know God personally, but knowing what the Bible says about Him will help you discern what words are from Him. Make sure the tenor of your journaling lines up with the character of God as described in the names of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. TEST THE FRUIT (Matthew 7:15-20) What effect does what you are hearing have on your soul and your spirit? Words from the Lord will quicken your faith and increase your love, peace, and joy. They will stimulate a sense of humility within you as you become more aware of Who God is and who you are. On the other hand, any words you receive which cause you to fear or doubt, which bring you into confusion or anxiety, or which stroke your ego must be immediately rebuked and rejected as lies of the enemy. SHARE IT WITH YOUR SPIRITUAL COUNSELORS (Proverbs 11:14) We are members of a Body! A cord of three strands is not easily broken, and God's intention has always been for us to grow together. Nothing will increase your faith in your ability to hear from God like having it confirmed by two or three other people who have a solid Biblical orientation. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY

"Before she went into labor, she had the baby. Before the birth pangs hit, she delivered a son....So I open the womb and not deliver the baby? Do I, the One who delivers babies shut the womb?" - Isaiah 66:7-9 Soul travail is an impassioned deep level of intercession (prayer) that affects the spiritual atmosphere so that the lost can hear the gospel and make a decision to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We literally push back the blinding oppressing power of the enemy so that the gospel penetrates the heart. Effective witnessing can never be done without a burden, anguish and true weeping for souls in prayer first! BURDEN US WITH HIS HEART We cannot have believers being stirred up to win souls out of duty or obligation because it's the Christian thing to do. But we can cry out and say: Holy Spirit come and burden me with his heart. Holy Spirit come and put inside of me the desire of God! Holy Spirit come and break me like You are broken for souls to be saved. Help me to travail for souls. LET JACOB BE OUR EXAMPLE We need to be wrestlers with God for souls. We need to become like Jacob (Genesis 32:24-30) and say, "I'm going to get a hold of you Lord God. I am going to wrestle with You, O God. I am going to labor right here in the spirit until You bless me with the burden for souls. The apostle Paul talks about travail: "My little children, for whom I lobor in birth again until Christ is formed in you." - Galatians 4:19. Paul had already labored and travailed for their spiritual birth and once again he is in labor until Christ is formed in them. OVERCOME WITH THE HEART OF GOD There is a fire -- there is an anointing that can fall on us so that we are literally overcome with the heart of God. There is grace available from the Lord to bow before Him on our face, weeping, crying out, and there is grace for us ot be touched by the Holy Spirit to labor and travail for souls. And God can take us out of our comfort zone and compel us by His Spirit to go into the streets to share the gospel with the lost. We will not be operating from a sense of duty and oblitgation. Jesus never ministered to people because it was something he had to do or because it was His job. Rather He reached the lost because of His great love for them. WE HAVE A GREAT PROMISE OF HOUSEHOLD SALVATION AND REVIVAL "And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shall be saved, and thy house. (Acts 16:31) Travailing in warfare prayer can break satan's power -- through the ministry of binding and loosing we can truly help push back the blinding power of deception keeping souls from making a decision for the gospel. In order for Jesus to be the greatest intercessor, to be the greatest High Priest and to have the ministry forever of intercession (Hebrews 4:14, 5:1-10), He had to really relate and identify with where we're at. He had to identify with us. We need to identify with the lost too. When we allow the Holy Spirit to take us into a place of identification, we will actually identify with the plight of the lost to the point that our heart and emotions become involved. At this point we need to persevere and allow ourselves to move into prayer in a deeper and deeper way, travailing for the salvation of souls. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY

There is kingly authority that is available through Isaiah 22:22 and the key of David. He has called us to rule and to reign with Him as His bride: "The key of the house of David I will lay on his shoulder, so he shall open and no one shall shut; and he shall shut, and no one shall open." - Isaiah 22:22 The kings who ruled during Biblical days, wore on their royal garments two keys -- one sewn onto each shoulder. These keys signified that they were the governing authority over the entire land. WE HAVE KINGLY AUTHORITY THAT GOD WANTS US TO USE God wants His kings to rise up and take their place in the earth. We need an authority that goes beyond just what we say and what we pray. We need power to be demonstrated when we begin to speak the word of God. When we begin to prophesy, we want that word to come to pass. Like Samuel, God wats to put an anointing upon us so that when we speak the words of God there is life on them; and those words don't fall to the ground, they come to pass and people begin to listen to the Church. God wants to challenge us to know that we are kings. As we step into positions of spiritual authority God will release us to worldwide prominence and expand our territories. He will take us places that we have never dreamed to release His presence and power on earth. HOW TO ACCESS THE KEY OF DAVID David was a lover of God -- the key that he wielded was the key of intimacy with God. God has beed doing a work in those who have been in a place with Him in intimacy. The key of David will loose for us what God has already loosed in Heaven on our behalf, and it will also bind things that God has already bound in heaven (Matthew 16:19). When we operate in that key of intimacy, breakthrough will happen. Intimacy releases breakthrough. JESUS IS THE KEY OF DAVID "For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace, there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His Kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this." (Isaiah 9:6-7) Jesus came to the earth for a purpose: to seek and save that which was lost, (the authority that Adam lost in the Garden) see Luke 19:10. He's talking about the mandate of spiritual dominion rule and reign in the earth that the devil snatched up when Adam fell in the Garden. Jesus is the One who opened all the doors that needed to be opened and shut all the doors that need to be shut when He died and rose from the dead. The key of David will loose for us what God has already loosed in Heaven on our behalf, and it will also bind the things that God has already bound in Heaven: Matthew 16:19 -- "And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of Heaven...." Jesus states that He is getting the Keys back and giving them to the Church. We access the keys when we access Jesus. Knowing Jesus as a friend who is closer than a brother releases a co-laboring partnership empowered through intimacy. And that intimate relationship with Jesus releases to us the keys of revelation and knowledge that will transform nations. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY

Psalm 139:23,24 - "Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me and know my anxious thoughts and see if there be any hurtful way in me, and lead me in the everlasting way." Observation: THE ENEMIES WHICH DEFEAT ME ARE HIDDEN AND LATENT WITHIN ME. THE HOLY SPIRIT MUST EXPOSE MY FOES BEFORE I CAN CONQUER THEM! AM I TOO PROUD OR TOO INSECURE TO ADMIT I NEED HELP? John 10:10 - "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." The Holy Spirit, the Helper, is ready to give out gifts and is giving out gifts to those who are ASKING,KNOCKING and SEEKING and BELIEVING that God will do what He says He will do. Divine increase abounds right and left. Curses will be broken and blessings of God will be released. AFFIRMATIONS: I CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST HAS COME THAT I MIGHT HAVE, KEEP, AND CONSTANTLY RETAIN A VITALITY, GUSTO, VIGOR, AND ZEST FOR LIVING THAT SPRINGS UP FROM DEEP DOWN INSIDE ME. I'M TAKING MY EYES OFF THE LOW ROAD, AND I'M HEADED FOR THE HIGH ROAD OF BLESSING GOD HAS PLANNED FOR ME! Isaiah 55:1,2 - "Wait and listen, every one who is thirsty, come to the waters, and he that has no money: come, buy, and eat; yes, come buy wine and milk without money and without price. Wherefore do you spend money for that which is not bread? and your labor for that which does not satisfy? hearken diligently unto me, and eat that which is good and let your soul delight itself in fatness (the profuseness of spiritual joy)." Observation: WHY DO I OFFER THE SILVER OF MY WILL FOR WHAT IS NOT BREAD (THE BREAD OF THE DIVINE SPIRIT) AND WASTE THE LABOR FOR MY APPETITES ON WHAT CANNOT SATISFY THEM? I WAIT AND LISTEN TO THE VOICE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND HAVE THE FOOD I DESIRE AND MY SOUL DELIGHTS IN ABUNDANCE. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY

1 Corinthians 2:16 - "For who has known or understood the mind (the counsels and purposes) of the Lord so as to guide and instruct Him and give Him knowledge? But we have the mind of Christ, the Messiah, and do hold the thoughts (feelings and purposes) of His heart. " If you feel weary and discouraged, in need of wisdom and direction, simply ask for God's grace and guidance. As we seek His PURPOSE FOR OUR LIFE and not just the benefits of "His hand," we will find that the more we know Abba Father, the more His love and compassion will emanate through us. The light and wisdom we seek from above are not to be found in human programs of education and psychology, or even in our common sense and good intentions, but only, exclusively, in the Person of Christ Jesus. "He has been made unto us wisdom." - 1 Corinthians 1:30. Affirmations: GOD WANTS ME TO BE SO IN TUNE WITH HIS SPIRIT THAT I AM ABLE TO FEEL HIS HEART OF COMPASSION TOWARD THOSE AROUND ME WHO ARE HURTING OR AFFLICTED WITH SICKNESS AND PAIN. SINCE HE IS ONE WITH ME, HE CAN REACH OUT THROUGH MY HANDS AND FULFILL HIS PURPOSES IN THE EARTH. 1 Corinthians 3:3 - "You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere men?" GOD HAS MORE FOR US THAT MERELY BECOMING BETTER PEOPLE; HE WANTS TO FLOOD OUR LIVES WITH THE SAME POWER THAT RAISED CHRIST FROM THE DEAD! GOD DOES NOT MERELY WANTS US "NORMAL," HE WANTS US CHRISTLIKE! Romans 5:20 - "But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound." Observation: GOD USES DARK MOMENTS AS OPPORTUNITIES TO POUR OUT HIS GRACE AND TO SHOW OTHERS WHO HE IS! I CHOOSE TO PUSH AWAY ALL MY FEARS AND TO BELIEVE THAT GOD IS GOING TO DO SOMETHING MIRACULOUS TO SAVE THE DAY! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY

Matthew 7:5 - "You hypocrite! First take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye." Observation: Jesus condemned sin. And we condemn sin also, but the sin we must condemn first is the sin of judging others, for it obscures our vision from discerning sin in ourselves. I will never become holy by criticizing others; nor am I brought nearer to God through finding fault. Galatians 5:18-21 - "But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest......which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God." Affirmation: I CONFESS THAT IT IS NO LONGER I WHO LIVE, BUT JESUS CHRIST LIVES IN ME! I HAVE WALKED IN THE FLESH LONG ENOUGH; NOW I WALK IN THE SPIRIT. I LET THE HOLY SPIRIT PRODUCE THE LIFE OF JESUS CHRIST IN ME. John 6: 5,7 - "When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, 'Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?' Philip answered Him, Two hundred pennyworth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them may take a little." Observation: WHEN I GET OUTSIDE OF MYSELF AND BEGIN TO THINK INSIDE THE WORD OF GOD, I GET OUTSIDE OF MY LIMITATIONS AND INTO THE LIMITLESS POWER OF ALMIGHTY GOD! Mark 3:14-15 says, "Then He appointed twelve, that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach, and to have power to heal sickness and to cast out demons." Luke 9:1 says, "Then He called His twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases." He gave it to them. He just said, "Here, take it." And they took the impartation He gave them, and they healed the sick and ministered to everyone they met. John 20:21-22 says, "So Jesus said to them again, 'Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.' And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, 'Receive the Holy Spirit.'" God sent Jesus out with an immeasurable anointing of the Holy Spirit. And Jesus was saying to the disciples, "Now I'm going to send you out like My Father sent Me." That means Jesus imparted an immeasurable anointing to them. Every Believer has received a measure of impartation and anointing, but God has even more He wants to increase in you, because you're His temple, you're His workmanship; and He wants to manifest His glory, His nature, His character, and His power through your life. IMPARTATION IS AN INFUSING Paul says in Romans 1:11 -- "I long and I ache to see you that you may receive an impartation." Not just on, but IN. He says (paraphrased), "The impartation is going to be spiritual. It doesn't come from me. I'm just going to be a vessel, a signpost, and when I lay hands on you, I know what's going to happen. That's why I ache to see you. When you receive this, it's going to help you in what God has for your life". PRE-ORDAINED FOR GOOD WORKS In Ephesians 2:10 it says, "We are His workmanship." He's doing a work in you and has ordained good works for you, but it's never by your might, never by your ability, never by your power, but by the power of the Holy Spirit. Do you want impartation like that from the Lord? God wants to give you a download for your life – an impartation of new levels, new mantles, a new anointing, and a new commission! James 1:17 says, "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of Lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning." Every good gift is from the Father. In Romans 1:11, Paul is describing a spiritual gift – from Spirit to spirit. Not from a man, not a natural blessing, but from the Lord. Ask the Lord for a direct blessing from Him to You. A divine impartation that is life-changing and life-establishing for you! Ask Him, and then by faith receive what He gives! God's Word says "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened" (Matthew 7:7-8). HAVE YOU BEEN ASKING? Have you been asking? Are you asking for an anointing for purpose? Watch out, you will receive fiery impartation of the Word of God for your life that will burn like fire in your bones! If you want this, align yourself and say, "I'm hungry. I'm so hungry for You, Lord Jesus." Matthew 7:9-11 says, "Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him!" Ask Him for a good gift! HOLY HUNGER IS SATISIFIED THROUGH DIVINE IMPARTATION Psalm 63:1-4 says, "O God, You are my God; early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. So I have looked for You in the sanctuary, to see Your power and Your glory." You have a holy hunger that can't be satisfied by the natural. It can only be filled by the Holy Spirit and His mighty flow for your life. Ask right now for a mighty outpouring, a divine impartation from Him to you. Psalm 63:5 declares, "My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips." Ask God to pour out a mighty anointing upon you – to release the rich, abundant anointing of the Holy Spirit. To saturate you with such rich anointing that you can't help but be joyful, can't help but speak of His lovingkindness. We need the oil of the Holy Spirit, we need fresh oil every day. We need the perpetual unlimited flow of His precious oil in and through our lives. Let Psalm 92:10 be released right now: "But my horn You have exalted like a wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil!" ASK RIGHT NOW Ask for divine impartation! The world needs to see a people who are not walking in the power of man or what religion can give but from the power of the precious Holy Spirit. "And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God." - 1 Corinthians 2:4-5 Ask God right now, regardless of where you are, for your own personal divine impartation. Are you hungry? Just ask Him. Get ready, here it comes! Let the rock pour out rivers of oil for you that your path drips with fresh oil and anointing (see Job 29:6)! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY

Galatians 5:16 - "But I say, walk by the Spirit, and do not gratify the desires of the flesh." He has put an unlimited potential within us by His Spirit. Don't think about what you can't do. Think about what you can do through Christ. Exercising faith to fulfill your call will always result in permanent spiritual results - "fruit which remains" measured by the lives you have dramatically changed. Affirmations: I AM DEVELOPING MY OWN HUMAN SPIRIT, AND I AM BECOMING MORE SENSITIVE TO THE SPIRIT OF GOD. I HAVE ACCEPTED THE CALL OF GOD TO LEAVE THE LOW LIFE BEHIND, AND I AM FOLLOWING THE SPIRIT OF GOD TO A HIGHER REALM, WHERE I WILL LIVE IN CONTINUAL PEACE, JOY, AND VICTORY. Luke 18:9 - "He also told this parable to some who trusted in themselves that they were righteous and despised others." Like all expeditions, my journey starts with a departure. Long before I ever arrive at holiness, I must depart from self-righteousness and pride. Romans 6:18 - "Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness." Affirmations: SINCE I HAVE GIVEN MY LIFE TO JESUS, THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD HAS BEEN IMPARTED TO ME. BECAUSE THROUGH JESUS, I RECEIVED GOD'S NATURE. SIN AND THE DOMINION OF SATAN CANNOT HAVE AUTHORITY OVER ME BECAUSE JESUS IS MY LORD. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY

Romans 12:2 - "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." The place where Jesus was crucified was called "Golgotha", which meant "place of the skull." If I will be effective in spiritual warfare, the first field of conflict where I must learn warfare is the batleground of the mind; ie. the "place of the skull." Joshua 1:6 - "Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them." True soldiers of Christ resolve to die every day to this world so that they live for the sake of the Gospel. It is time for courage to enable us to lift a sword that never leaves our hands again -- it never gets put on the mantle. Every day is a day of conquest -- every day is a day for king Jesus to be glorified -- it is called courage. Affirmation: COURAGE MAKES ME DO EXTRAORDINARY THINGS FOR GOD EVEN IN THE MIDDLE OF IMPOSSIBLE CIRCUMSTANCES. Proverbs 28:1 - "The wicked flee when no man pursues them, but the righteous are bold as a lion." 1 Corinthians 2:11 - "As for a man, it is his own spirit within him that knows all about him; in the same way only God's Spirit knows all about God." Observation: GOD COMMUNICATES WITH ME THROUGH MY SPIRIT. IT IS GOD'S SPIRIT THAT BEARS WITNESS WITH MY SPIRIT THAT I AM A SON OF GOD. Romans 8:14 - "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY

2 Timothy 2:22 - "Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart." Observation: IT IS BETTER TO DEVELOP GODLY VIRTUES THAN TO SPEND MY DAY PRAYING AGAINST THE DEVIL. VICTORY BEGINS WITH THE NAME OF JESUS ON MY LIPS. IT IS CONSUMMATED BY THE NATURE OF JESUS IN MY HEART. Matthew 6:9-11 - "This, then, is how you should pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed by Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." Observation: HEAVEN NEEDS ME TO GIVE IT LICENSE TO IMPACT EARTH. I CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE AND CHANGE THE COURSE OF HISTORY IF I WILL JUST UNDERSTAND THE PURPOSE AND POWER OF PRAYER. Romans 8:14 - "As many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." God's Higher Ground is where you stop arguing with yourself and others, cease struggling with your flesh, and move into His perfect will for you. It's the place where you have made the decision to live a holy life in a temporal unholy world, and although you are quite aware that you will never (in this life) avoid occasional stumbling, you must get up and go to HIGHER GROUND. Higher Ground is the only place where 'Super-grow' soil exists for your spirit to grow (Mark 4: 20). It is the place where you are determined to fulfill the PURPOSE God placed you here for. Blessings abound in that place......are you willing to go to Higher Ground? Affirmations: I CONFESS THAT I AM LED BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD! THE HOLY SPIRIT TUGS AND PULLS ON MY HEART, AND I COOPERATE BY FOLLOWING HIM AS HE GENTLY LEADS ME WHERE HE WANTS ME TO GO. HE SEES AND KNOWS WHAT I CANNOT SEE. Receiving His Refreshing Wind - Meditations

Song of Solomon 4:16 - "Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out. Let my Beloved come into His garden, and eat His pleasant fruits." This is a new day, let the Son arise with healing in His wings and let the wind of God take you to a new realm of faith and understanding in this hour for such a time as this. Choose life, and to live that life abundantly. It's not too late, it's time to begin again. It is the time for a new season of love and drinking of the new wine. It's time to be intoxicated with His love and come into the chamber – into His presence to meet with Him. He will meet with you in that secret place and show you the secrets of His heart. YOU CAN TRUST HIM He does not withhold any good thing from you, you can trust Him with your all your heart. He desires that you prosper even as your soul prospers (3 John 2). This is a time of sowing and reaping in spiritual prosperity; of seeking first the Kingdom of God and all the things you need or ever wanted shall be added to you (Matthew 6:33). This is a time of manifestation and breakthrough; of new birth where we realize that the dream is His dream and the desire is His desire. He is a faithful, faithful God! Always faithful. He is looking – seeking for a faithful Bride. The power is in your tongue (Proverbs 18:21) and the words of the Lord are in your mouth and they are God-breathed. Speak the Words He Puts in Your Mouth. Be bold and stand in the power of His Spirit with HIS words in your mouth. Fresh breath of life on the things that have died or laid dormant; dreams that seemed to have been lost but not forgotten will suddenly be realized. He is doing a new thing in you and it's a sudden thing! ARISE AND SHINE He is fanning the flame of His fire and passion in His people to burn with love and desire for the things of His heart; for the things of His Kingdom. He is saying, "It's time to arise and shine." SO ARISE! The wind of God will bring a fresh revelation and understanding. It will bring understanding for the Word of God, and fresh hunger and for His Word and His presence. Hebrew 4:12 - "For the Word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." CONSECRATE YOURSELVES This is a time of consecration and separation of the world; but not of your relationships that are God ordained and in covenant commitment. Put off the old man and PUT ON THE NEW(Ephesians 4:24). This is an exhortation to discover and move forward in God's CALLING ON YOUR LIFE. Leave the familiar and breaking the cycle of your fleshly desires, ways and mind-sets -- break the lies that say the grass is greener on the other side, when in fact the grass is dried up, full of weeds and thorns – where there is no water or life in the carnal ways of man. Numbers 11:5,6 - "We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions and the garlic: But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this manna before our eyes." They were unsuccessful in deriving from the manna all the taste and strength they were looking for, not because the manna didn't have these but because of their craving for other foods. Similarly, if spiritual persons could raise their appetites above childish things, they would discover in spiritual food the savor of all things. \ 2 Kings 6:17 - "And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha." In spiritual warfare, the battle is never limited to an "us against them" human affair. It always includes "those with us" against "those with them." Do you want to cultivate your spiritual mind? Then immerse yourself in God's Word (Psalm 119:9). Pray for revelation and ask the Spirit of God to open your eyes to behold awesome things from heavenly realms. There is nothing wrong with intellectual knowledge and pursuit. God gave us our mind and expects us to use it. However, we should never depend upon mere human intellectual wisdom to advance us in the realm of the Holy Spirit (John 16:13). Mark 11:23 - "For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." Because great power is released when my heart and mouth start working toether, it's extremely important that I put the right things into my heart. OBSERVATION:Once I find the will of God in a situation I will know how to pray. If I need a mountain moved out of my life, I believe God with my heart and speak it out with my mouth. AFFIRMATIONS:Jesus came that I might have life and that I might have it more abundantly. (John 10:10) I shall have whatsoever things that I desire when I pray, since I believe that I receive them. Judges 16:21 - "But the Philistines took Samson, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison-house." The same thing happens to a person in whom the enemy appetites reside and triumph. First these appetites weaken and blind, then they afflict and torment by chaining that person to the mill of concupiscence, for they are the chains by which a soul is bound. Genesis 1:26 - "God said, let Us make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts, and over all the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth." It is not satan who defeats us; it is our openness to him. Satan is tolerated for one purpose: the warfare between the devil and God's saints thrusts us into christlikeness, where the nature of Christ becomes our only place of rest and security. God allows warfare to facilitate His eternal plan, which is to make man in His image. It has always been the Lord's intent to have a "people" who would have dominion authority on the earth. The word "dominion" (Hebrew - radah) means to prevail, rule, reign, to tread down." Through Jesus Christ we have been given authority over the enemy and all that he would try to come against us with. The word AUTHORITY means, LEGAL OR RIGHTFUL POWER, A RIGHT TO COMMAND OR ACT. "Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall hurt you." - Luke 10:19 1 Peter 1:13 - "Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ." Plan of Action: TODAY I SEEK TO DEAL WITH THE LOOSE ENDS THAT I'VE ALLOWED TO REMAIN IN MY MIND AND EMOTIONS. WHEN I SEE WITH THE EYES OF FAITH THAT THIS IS THE SPIRITUAL MEANING OF THE CROSS, I WILL KNOW HOW TO IMITATE CHRIST AND DO WHAT HE DID. Matthew 15:29 - "And He said, 'Come.' And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus". In the purest sense Peter did not rest His weight upon the water; He stood upon Christ's Word: "COME!" Peter trusted that if Jesus told him to do the impossible -- even to walk on the water -- the power to obey woud be inherent within the command. Hebrews 10:24 - "And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works." OBSERVATION: Because I constantly observe and contemplate others to know how to encourage and provoke them to love and to good works and as I reach out to assist them with words of strength -- they are becoming better, stronger, and bolder in the Lord. Affirmations: I AM EXTREMELY CONSCIOUS OF THE WORKINGS OF CHRIST AND OF GOD'S ENERGY AT WORK IN ME. I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. Matthew 15:26 - "To this Jesus replied 'it is not right to take the children's bread and throw it to the dogs."' It is the privilege of children to eat at the table with their Father and from His dish, which is to share in His Spirit; but the dogs must eat the crumbs that fall from the table. John 14:16 -- "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever..." The Holy Spirit, the Helper, is ready to give out gifts and is giving out gifts to those who are asking, knocking and seeking and believing that God will do what He says He will do. THROUGH FAITH THE HOLY SPIRIT BRINGS GOD'S PROMISES TO PASS Jeremiah 1:12 -- "The Lord said to me, 'You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that My word is fulfilled."' The Holy spirit is here to help bring these promises to pass. The greatest gift He gave us was Jesus. We must believe in the goodness of God, His desire to give specifically to us, and present ourselves in ready-mode to receive all that He wants to give. John 10:10 -- "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly." HE WILL DO A NEW THING IN US AND GIVE US A REVELATION OF OUR DESTINY Isaiah 43:19 -- "Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." The Holy Spirit is ready to give new anointings to His people. Those who welcome Him will receive new revelations of their DESTINY created out of His glory presence. The excellence of what He does will catch us off guard and put the "awe of God" back in our hearts. We will say, "How awesome! This is amazing!" Our hearts will well with thanksgiving and joy at the sight of His work. Isaiah 61:7 --" Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be theirs." He will build something new that we were not expecting, but because we welcomed Him in our house it will just be part of the blessing of His presence. HE WILL GIVE US HIS SOUND Romans 10:18 -- "But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their SOUND went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world." The Helper, the Holy Spirit, is also ready to give us the double portion of His sound or voice. For those who welcome the Holy Spirit, He will give a new clear sound. People will be drawn to the sound right and left. Divine increase will abound right and left. Curses will be broken and blessings of God will be released. Now, as always, is the time to make ready our hearts for the Holy Spirit. God is ready to pour out gifts and freshness of His Presence, and awaken our eyes to His goodness, giving us the double of His glory and the overflow and outpour of His blessings. Revelation 3:17 - "Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou are wreched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked. I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire..." We are living in the time of the Laodicean Church, which we are told is "rich and increased with goods" (Revelation 3:17).Therefore, most of us are too busy to spend much time in prayer. We must place a high value on the time that we spend alone with the Lord, or it will be overtaken and replaced with activities. This "set apart time to be alone with the Lord" must constantly be contended for. Our Lord is very sensitive about "room being made" for Him, as, when He was born into this world, there was "no room" in the inn. Thus, when anyone of us actively determines to make room for Him, He quickly notices and responds. Affirmations: I AM A "NEW WINESKIN," CLEANSED, EMPTIED AND CAPABLE OF EXPANDING WITH THE NEW WINE. MY HEART IS A CONTAINER INTO WHICH THE SPIRIT OF GOD IS POURED. I SWELL WITH CHRIST'S INNER FULLNESS. THE PURPOSE OF MY LIFE IS TO CONTAIN THE FRUIT AND POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. I AM DESPERATE IN MY SEARCH AND HUNGER FOR GOD! Galatians 4:19 - "My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you." Hebrews 4:10,11 - "For he that is entered into His rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from His. Let us labor therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief." Affirmations: I LABOR BY FORCEFULLY QUIETING MY SOUL OF THE NOISE OF IT'S FLESHLY THINKING AND SOULISH CRYING, WHICH IS A YOKE OF SLAVERY AROUND MY NECK, HOLDING ME CAPTIVE IN MY OWN PERSONAL SPIRITUAL EGYPT. I SEND IT FLEEING INTO THE SILENT "WILDERNESS" WITH GOD. THERE IT WILL FIND THE FREEDOM AND HOLY REST THAT ARE THE HERITAGE OF THE TRUE SONS OF GOD. Revelation 3:18 - "So I advise you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, to make you truly rich and white clothes to put on to hide the shame of your nakedness, and ointment for your eyes so that you may see." OBSERVATION: If I am not receiving from God, I need to change what I have been giving my attention to. Affirmations: I AM THE VICTORY THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. (1 Corinthians 15:57) I AM BLESSED WITH EVERY SPIRITUAL BLESSING IN THE HEAVENLY PLACES IN CHRIST. (Ephesians 1:3) I AM SEATED WITH CHRIST IN HEAVENLY PLACES. (Ephesians 2:6) Matthew 12:34-37 - "For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account therof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned". OBSERVATION: My future -- good or bad -- is in me, right now. It's in my mouth and it's determined by the words I speak. I am the prophet of my own life. AFFIRMATIONS: The Spirit of God is creating a desire for the NEW - I thank the Holy Spirit for helping me to press through into this new place. Revelation is opening my eyes and giving me this new vision. I arise now. My provision is waiting at the next level. The course of the river is beginning to change. I jump in and go up! A new height, a new momentum, and a new strength enters my soul. I refuse to sit any long in a low place. Revelation 22:1 - "And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb." OBSERVATION: God leads me to the river of His Spirit -- the current of clear goodness that flows without ceasing. As I step into that unfailing new life I will want nothing else. LOVE IS THE PATH ON WHICH I WALK AS CLOSELY AS IS POSSIBLE TO THOSE WHO ARE ALREADY LIVING IN THE LIFE ETERNAL. THE MORE I FOLLOW LOVE THE MORE MY OLD SELF IS CONSUMED AND DIES. Galatians 5:22 - "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith." Proverbs 18:21 - "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." Affirmation: I SPEAK GOD'S WORDS CONTINUALLY, AND THEN WATCH THE HOLY SPIRIT BLAST THE MOUNTAINS OF OBSTACLES OUT OF MY WAY. Psalm 77:12 - "I will meditate also of all Thy work, and talk of Thy doings." What I think about the most will grow the strongest in me. Joshua 1:8 - "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night." "Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." - Ephesians 5:20 Thankfulness takes the sting out of adversity. That is why He has instructed us to give thanks for everything. There is an element of mystery in this transaction: You give Him thanks (regardless of your feelings), and He gives you Joy (regardless of your circumstances). This is a spiritual act of obedience—at times, blind obedience. Thankfulness opens your heart to His Presence and your mind to His thoughts, enabling you to see from His perspective. It is this Light of His Presence that removes the sting from adversity. "He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, from his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water."- (John 7:38)AMP As Believers in Jesus Christ we walk in and release a supernatural, prophetic river of life (see John 7:38). It is already flowing through us. The reality of the new creation is this: When a person is born again, the Spirit of Jesus comes and takes up residence inside. From that moment forward, new life flows out of that person like a river of living water. The new life that flows through us makes it possible for the Kingdom of God to touch the earth. "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever" (see Hebrews 13:8). What He did from the beginning, He still does today – creating and re-creating, healing, restoring; sending light into the darkness; bringing victory to the humble and defeat to the proud. On a daily basis, as Believers we breathe in and out the supernatural atmosphere of Heaven into the earthly realm. As followers of Jesus Christ: we are called to bear good fruit and fruit that remains (see John 15:16), we are called to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying (see John 16:13) and echo it in a meaningful, relatable way. Luke 7:39,40-43 - 'This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth Him: for she is a sinner.' 'There was a certain creditor which had two debtors: the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty. And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both. Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?' Simon answered, and said, 'I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most.'" Simon saw this woman as one type of sinner and himself as another, much better person, only requiring a little forgiveness. James 2:10 - "Whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all." Galatians 5:16 - "Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh." OBSERVATION: I must sow seeds to my spirit instead of sowing seeds to the flesh. What I feed on is what will grow in my life. Galatians 6:8 - "He who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the spirit will of the Spirit reap life everlasting." Affirmations: I AM DEVELOPING MY OWN HUMAN SPIRIT, AND I AM BECOMING MORE SENSITIVE TO THE SPIRIT OF GOD. I HAVE ACCEPTED THE CALL OF GOD TO LEAVE THE LOW LIFE BEHIND, AND I AM FOLLOWING THE SPIRIT OF GOD TO A HIGHER REALM, WHERE I WILL LIVE IN CONTINUAL PEACE, JOY, AND VICTORY. Romans 12:21 - "Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good." Observation: WHAT I REFUSE TO OVERCOME EVENTUALLY OVERCOMES ME. James 4:5 - "Surely, you don't think scripture is wrong when it says: the Spirit which He sent to live in us wants us for Himself alone?" Observation: The Holy Spirit within me conflicts with fleshly desire, urging me into service for Him. It still requires my submission and my action. Being led the the Holy Spirit is an ongoing God encounter. A religious spirit is a demonic presence that works to get us to substitute being led by our intellect instead of the Spirit of God. Ephesians 2:10 - "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them." Genesis 1:2 - "And the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters." THE HOLY SPIRIT IS EVER MOVING, WORKING, AND BRINGING FORTH THE PURPOSES OF GOD. THE NATURE OF THE CHRISTIAN LIFE IS TO BE MOVING AND GOING SOMEWHERE. 1 Corinthians 1:5 - "That in every thing you are enriched by Him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge." Genesis 1:2 - "And the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters." If the Holy Spirit can make a glorious creation out of the most desolate place, He can bring forth a glorious new creation out of the most desolate, confused, and empty life. 1 Corinthians 1:2 - "To all who are called to be God's holy people, who belong to Him in union with Jesus Christ, together with all people everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours." Affirmations: I REALIZE THAT I AM GOD'S CHILD AND HAVE THE POWER OF ATTORNEY TO USE THE NAME OF JESUS AND HAVE EVERYTHING THE WORD SAYS I CAN HAVE. I HAVE CONFIDENCE BECAUSE I KNOW THAT I'M NOT SPEAKING MY OWN WORDS, I AM SPEAKING GOD'S WORD AND IT WILL COME TO PASS. Ephesians 2:19 - "Now therefore you are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God". Psalm 34:1 -" I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth." Affirmation: MY PRESENT FOCUS DETERMINES MY PRESENT JOY. 1 Corinthians 2:7,8 - "But if the ministry of death, in letters engraved on stones, came with glory, so that the sons of Israel could not look intently at the face of Moses because of the glory of his face, fading as it was, how shall the ministry of the Spirit fail to be even more with glory?" These are days of DESTINY, filled with wonder and excitement. The awe of God is returning to the people of God, filling the heart of God's people with great expectation. Every eye shall behold His brilliance and magnificent Glory WHERE IS THE GLORY? IT IS IN HIS PRESENCE. OBSERVATION: When I learn to draw close to Him and dwell in His presence, I will experience something even greater than what Moses did. Moses met with Him face-to-face, but I have Him living in Me. Hebrews 12:29 - "For our God is a consuming fire". OBSERVATION: If I am truly getting closer to Him, the fire in my life will be growing. Ephesians 2:6 - "And has raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus." AFFIRMATIONS: A spiritual kingdom lies all about me, embracing me, altogether within reach of my inner self, waiting for me to recognize it. God Himself is here waiting my response to His presence. "And from the throne proceeded lightnings, thunderings, and voices. Seven lamps of fire were burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God." (Revelation 4:5) "The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord." (Isaiah 11:2) The Lord desires us to enter into a deeper level of pressing into Him, or what is called "pursuit after Him." It is a stirring of the Holy Spirit deep within that literally awakens your inner man, so that YOU KNOW THAT YOU KNOW there is something more that He wants to share with you. This is called HOLY HUNGER. ONLY COMMUNION CAN SATISFY Only communion with Him is going to satisfy the deep ache within. This wonderful hunger is stirred up by the Holy Spirit like as described in Jeremiah 33:3, "Call to Me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know". As we begin to cry out from this deep engaging of the Spirit of the living God within our spirits, we experience the communion of the Holy Spirit, which is a place of deep to deep fellowship with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit searches out the deep counsel of God for you and reveals it to you. WE CALL OUT TO HIM "But God has revealed it to us by His Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God."(1 Corinthians 2:10) Deuteronomy 29:29declares that, "the secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever!" As the Holy Spirit initiates this hunger, we begin to say "yes" to the Lord in agreement with the stirring of the Holy Spirit. We begin to call out to Him. As we begin to call to Him, He answers us by showing us great and mighty things that we did not know. The word "mighty" here in the Hebrews means inaccessible. He wants to release to us something that was once inaccessible to us that we did not know. He wants to reveal to us by the Revealer the deep counsel of God. It is a precious privilege to know the mysteries and the secrets of the kingdom. But when the Revealer reveals them to us, they are now for us and our children's children. A GREATER INVITATION FROM JESUS In Revelation 3:20 there is a greater invitation from the Lord to the church: "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me." In this verse, Jesus essentially says, "If you hear me knock and you open your heart (door) to me I will come and dine with you, or banquet with you." This refers to visitation or communion of a greater degree. As you say "yes" to the Lord, something wonderful and glorious takes place next. Just a few verses later in Revelation 4:1, we see now an invitation to go through the door that is opened by the Lord: "After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, 'Come up here, and I will show you things which must take place after this.'" He is the Door or Gate to "come up here" and meet with Him. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
