  1. Revelation 4:1 -- "After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven..." If we will live in the awareness of the heavenly, we must be freed from the boundaries of the earthly. To awaken faith, the Holy Spirit will take us through times when the presence of God cannot be clearly discerned. Psalm 13:1 -- "How long wilt thou forget me, O Lord? forever? how long with thou hide thy face from me?" We should not accept that God has permanently hidden Himself from us, though during trials it may seem so. He is teaching us to see in the dark and to hear in the silence. He is making Himself known to our inner man so that, regardless of outer circumstances, we can continually be led by led by His Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18 -- "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit" OUR VISION MUST BECOME SPIRITUAL To see God, it is imperative that our vision become spiritual and not just sensory. To hear God, we must learn to tune out the clamor of our fears and earthly desires. The time of darkness, though it comes as an enemy, actually compels us to seek God more earnestly; we learn to even more revere God's light. Ultimately, we will discover the truth of what Isaiah wrote, that "the whole earth is full of God's glory" (Isaiah 6:3). The Bible was written by individuals who actually beheld the glory of God. To see the glory of God is our call as well. Our spiritual vision is not an imaginary device of the mind, but that which comes from the living union of the Holy Spirit with our hearts. Matthew 5:8 -- "Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God." PERSISTENCE IS THE ANSWER It is reasonable to expect that, if Christ truly dwells within us, we ought to perceive life with unveiled minds? We remove the veils of sin, shame and self-absorption, by persisting in seeking God. If we stay focused upon His Spirit and Word, we should expect to see the glory of the Lord. AFFIRMATION: I expect that, NOW, -- as I enter my prayer room or go for a walk, or in a dream -- the Spirit of God is going to appear to me in some marvelous and life-changing way. 2. I am finding apart from the divide between Catholic's and non-Catholic, or least for some of them, there is also a language barrier. Below is something I wrote on prayer and I would like to see how others view prayer in their lives. I do believe that we all belong to the Priesthood of the faithful and when we pray we stand for all seeking the Lord's blessing on all, as well that all may come to know Christ and his love.....for God wills (desires) the salvation of all. 1 Timothy 2:3-4. This is not a teaching but a sharing. If I am breaking any rules, moderator please delete immateriality. How do you pray? What does prayer mean to you? How has it changed over the years as you mature +++++++++++++++ Breathe in; breathe out (the practice of prayer) When I ask this “what do we pray for”, many do not understand what I am getting at. I guess we can start with the question what is prayer? The simplest answer is that it is “raising our heart and mind to God”. But that answer can lead to another question…..what does that mean for me in my everyday life? Prayer, if pursued and the impulses of grace are followed, which is in fact an invitation from the Holy Spirit, can slowly grow over the years to become a deeply ingrained habit. Prayer becomes a form of breathing for the soul. The Holy Spirit breathes in us, and we breathe out prayer. To stop and pray, to be open to the Holy Spirit opens us up to the healing and mercy of “the fire of God’s love’, which is stronger than death. So as the life of prayer deepens we can often find ourselves in a dry desert with only faith and prayer as our guides. Or we find that we discover depths within our souls that block us from living fully in the joy and love of God. Prayer gives us the humility to grow in the knowledge of God’s grace and our total dependence on his mercy and love. So we can find ourselves on stormy seas, without the false luxury of blaming others, or of seeking ways to self medicate that only complicate the matter and pile on more problems. Prayer frees us from being a victim as well as drowning in anger or self pity. The more we understand ourselves, the more we understand the struggle of others and find our hearts becoming the Heart of Christ Jesus. Prayer and our openness to God’s grace makes us aware that Paul’s statement that “It is not I but Christ who lives in me”, is not some abstract statement, or theological principle, but an actual living reality. Fear, bitterness, anger and cynicism are ways that we protect ourselves from the on- slot of life. Sin is the shield that we use to keep life out, which leads to only more suffering and a deepening of our wounds. It is only by letting go of fear that we can understand the healing balm of God’s love. As John says in his 1st Epistle, “Love cast out fear”. The death to self that Jesus calls us to is a letting go of self concern to the exclusion of others. As well as freeing others from manipulation and being made into mere object so that we can feel secure and in control….illusions both of them. Yet when we discover the love of God, its depth and what Christ Jesus went through to save us, we come to the understanding that we are truly embraced in the ever lasting arms of Christ Jesus’ love. We can forget how short our lives are and that we are pilgrims. One good thing about aging is that illusion of “I have plenty of time” is taken away. If someone lives to be 120 years of age, on their death bed, it will seem like a passing dream…..our time is short here. Being 68 (or will be in December) has freed me totally from that illusion. Life is more precious to me as I age, yet I know that ‘soon’ I will move on. What is life for? We need to ask ourselves that question and live from what we discover. Breathe in, breathe out, allow the Holy Spirit to pray in you, through you and let yourselves be used so that our arms, become the Arms-of-Christ, our hearts, become The-Heart-of-Christ and our minds, to become, The-Mind-of-Christ. For in our bodies we make up for what is lacking in the body of Christ. We have a great calling; we are all members of Christ Jesus and belong to the priesthood of the faithful. The more conscious we are of that the more we can allow the Holy Spirit to use us.
  3. I was struggling with my faith. I was caught in a wedge between choosing what I wanted to do instead of what God wanted for me. In the end I ended up leaving my residence and left on a bus on my own accord to go where I wanted. But halfway into the trip I felt nothing but pure spiritual agony. I had turned my back on God. I knew that what I was doing was gravely wrong. I was looking at verses such as Romans 1:28 where it talks about people being turned over to reprobate minds. How God gives them just what they want and turn them over to eternal damnation. The thought of all this almost made me puke. I felt sick to the point of faint at the though of being stamped unworthy and useless. I walked out on God.. This whole thing about being a reprobate terrified me. I'm turning back now and am on my way to make things right and totally surrender my life to Christ for good. I don't care what happens to me anymore or what others will think of me. I fear God more than man now. As long as I have Him, I don't ever want to turn back. Am I marked? Is it too late? Am I like Esau who gave up his inheritance for a plate of food, only to seek it back in tears and unable to receive it again? I read that a rebrobate mind is devoid of all sound judgment and left to do things that are unseemly. I don't feel I've quite reached this mindset yet.. not after this scare.. I greatly appreciate any input, many thanks and blessings
  4. Ephesians 5:14 - "Awake, sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you." OBSERVATION: If I truly want Christ to "shine upon me," I must arise from the distractions that emtomb me in lethargy and spiritual darkness. By praying the scriptures in the epistles of Paul that pertain to our inheritance in Christ we come to know who we are in Christ; the power that is flowing through us and our authority over sickness, distractions, or other issues of life. Matthew 22:14 - "Many are called, but few are chosen." There is another way to say this. "Many are called, but few will pay the price in order to be chosen." But if we are to come into that which He has reserved for us, we must submit to His dealings, and come His way. Genesis 1:2 - "And the earth was formless and void, and darkness was over the surface of the deep; and the Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the waters." THOSE WHO ARE BORN OF THE SPIRIT WILL ALSO BE MOVING, FLOWING, AND GOING SOMEWHERE. THIS IS THE NATURE OF THOSE WHO ARE BORN OF THE SPIRIT. John 3:8 - "The wind blows where it wishes and you hear the sound of it, but do not know where it comes from and where it is going; so is everyone who is born of the Spirit." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  5. Proverbs 20:27 - "The spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord." Luke 17:20,21 - "The kingdom of God comes not with observation. For behold, the kingdom of God is within you." If we wait quietly before God and learn to turn the eyes of our soul to the inward parts of our being -- our spirits -- we will encounter Him in the deep levels, as that is where His Spirit dwells. Matthew 25:30 - "And cast the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Affirmation: THE HOLY SPIRIT IS GIVING ME WISDOM AND COURAGE TO STEP OUT AND BEGIN TO FULFILL THE DREAM HE AS BIRTHED SO DEEPLY INSIDE ME. Jude 22 - "And of some have compassion, making a difference." Affirmation: MY HEART RELEASES THE COMPASSION OF JESUS CHRIST TO HELP DELIVER PEOPLE CAUGHT IN THE DECEPTION OF SIN AND DARKNESS AND SET THEM FREE. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  6. 1 Corinthians 6:17 "But the one who joins himself to the Lord is one spirit with Him." (His union with the believer is His union with the believer’s spirit.) 1 Corinthians 15:45 "So also it is written, 'The first Man, Adam, became a living soul.' The last Adam became a life-giving spirit." (The first man Adam was made a living soul, The last Adam was made a quickening Spirit.) Romans 6:5 - "For if we have become united with Him in the likeness of His death, certainly we shall also be in the likeness of His resurrection," (Where does this union come from? It is from our death and resurrection with the Lord. We receive His death as our death and the joining with Him in death as the beginning of our being joined to Him. Having died with Him, we also receive His resurrection as our own resurrection.) Romans 1:4 "And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:" 1 Peter 3:18 "For Christ also died for sins once for all, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, having been put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;" (The Lord Jesus was resurrected according to the Spirit of Holiness and made alive in the Spirit. Therefore we are joined to Him in resurrection. We die to all that belongs to ourselves and live to His Spirit.) Romans 7:4,6 "Therefore, my brethren, you also were made to die to the Law through the body of Christ, so that you might be joined to another, to Him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God. But now we have been released from the Law, having died to that by which we were bound, so that we serve in newness of the Spirit and not in oldness of the letter." (The result of this union is the capacity to serve the Lord in ‘newness of spirit’. There is nothing of the natural self mixed in the living and work. From this time on the soul and the body are used only to express the Lord’s life and work. After the believer is joined to the resurrected Lord, the believer must daily keep ‘reckoning’ and ‘yielding’. The Lord then can pour out His life giving power into the believer's spirit.) Affirmations: I AM ONE SPIRIT WITH THE LORD. (1 Corinthians 6:17) THE HOLY SPIRIT BEARS WITNESS WITH MY SPIRIT, THAT I AM A CHILD OF GOD. (Romans 8:16) ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  7. Hello everyone, Im Chris and I'm currently 22 going on 23. Im in terrible need of advice as I fear I may be making a huge mistake soon, but first I want to tell you about me. I grew up in a Christian home for the most part, but I turned out to be your average rebellious teenager. I hated school, I didn't have many friends, and I was a black sheep to my family. I felt alone and angry at myself and my family, all of which prompted me to leave home and travel to another state on my own, I was 19 when I left. During my journey, I ended up homeless on the streets until a charity group led me to a Gospel Rescue mission where I came to know that Christ saves through faith and not of works. At the time, I felt a deeper understanding and connection with God, something I had never felt before. Also at the time, I made going into the U.S Navy one of my priorities. It was my dream and felt that if I could join, I could finally make my family proud of me and finally make something of myself instead of a homeless bum. After I came to know Christ, I began a new journey first through a bible program they offered. I made new friends in Christ and began to come out of my shell, I was learning new things almost everyday and I was actually happy for the first time in years! In the process I even was reconciled with my family who were actually worried about me. Even so, I kept a narrow vision and pursued the Navy. After graduation, I enrolled in college, did some job traning, and so on in preparation for enlistment. With some setbacks here and there, this process would go on to take over 3 years. And now, I have hit a wall that has prevented me from joining. Because of some medical issues, they made enlisting challenging to the point where I finally gave up on joining. This was in no way God's fault, nothing is, but it was all mine for not applying myself properly as well as my lax and nonchalant nature. I feel devastated. I feel like I've failed. My dream was now broken. I went to my pastor and told him everything. He told me to sit still and wait on the Lord, that all this time I've been seeking my own will instead of His. I agreed and began to earnestly seek the Lord. But I began to lament to the fact that I was still upset about not joining the Navy. I'm not content. My other brothers have told me to simply get a job and work to get an apartment. But this still doesn't suffice. Ive looked back on my life now and seen that I've produced very little, if any, fruit throughout the years compared to others who have gone off to start successful careers and such. I'm not as ignorant as I used to be and do feel that the Lord has used me to lead others to Christ at times, as well as used my testimony about coming off the streets. But I now see that I'm struggling with my faith. I look to my friends who are avid preachers of Christ and smile even through their problems in life. They have joy, something I just no longer have. And it is these things that make me wonder: Did I truly make Christ my personal Savior that day? Is He really the Boss of my life? Was I willing to pick up my cross and follow Him? Am I really His child? I do believe that all things work together for good to them that love Him, that for by grace are you saved through faith and not of yourselves, so no man can boast. Maybe God has used this situation to chastise and discipline me into being more obedient to Him and not to my own will. As the Word of God states "For whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom He receives". If this is scourging then I most certainly am feeling it. But due to my present circumstances, I feel my faith shaking, even after hours of earnest prayer for His will in my life. I can't shake this feeling for the pride of life. I can't shake this feeling of wanting to run off somewhere and starting all over again. I can't shake this voice telling me that He doesn't even know me and that I'm not His, that I'm not even truly born again. I'm so afraid of not being truly saved, and I'm too afraid to really tell the others of what I'm going through, despite their well meaning and prayers. I want to serve God, and I want Him to use me for His Glory. But this whole mess has paralyzed me to the point of hopelessness and depression. I just have no direction in life and I can't effectively share the Gospel in joy. I don't expect an answer that will end all my problems, but I would greatly appreciate anyone's input on this. Thank you very much in advance for your answers.
  8. Stand firm and do not be moved! As believers, we are rooted and grounded in His magnificent love (see Eph. 3:17). Truly, the Lord will be strong on our behalf! This knowledge enables a courage deep within and causes us to be so anchored in His love that our hearts and minds are steadfast. Thus, we will reach a place of focus that comes from being led by the Lord. This creates in us perseverance through our faith as we hear and are led by Him. Holy perseverance is God-empowered boldness or courage that enables usdeep withinto persevere. One way we can define perseverance is simply to stay the course. This is a powerful blessing from the Lord that enables us to believe the impossible is possible. It is a work of the Holy Spirit within that enables us to have strength to stay the course, regardless of present circumstances or situations. This is what the prophet Isaiah wrote about: "Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice." - Isaiah 41:10 AMP ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  9. In His Presence Are the Answers That You Seek. Wear the crown of glory that He would have you wear uprightly. Lay down any identity that man would come with. Man would come and try to push His crown off your head, and put upon it a counterfeit identity. Lay down all these things that rush into your mind – to where you cannot even come into His presence, because your mind, your spirit, is somewhere else. Call everything that would command you to give up dreams and visions and hope – command it to be cast behind you, for it is of the enemy. Let His Spirit rule and reign. Let Him begin to flow out of you – with discernment, with knowledge, with worship. Practice this when you're alone. "My soul, wait in silence for God only, for my hope is from Him. He only is my rock and my salvation, the rock of my strength, my refuge is in God. Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us." - Pslams 62:5-8 ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  10. To secure our attention and place us on the pathway God desires, there are strategies that He employs that are very effective. As much as we are not to be ignorant of satan's devices (2 Cor. 2:11), we must be even more knowledgeable of the ways of the Lord (Ps. 25:4). Knowing God's ways will result in us experiencing His mighty acts (Ps. 103:7). Three ways God works to move us in a new direction: 1. DISRUPTION OF OUR PLANS When stuck at an impasse, it is a natural tendency to return to familiar surroundings. We see this in the lives of the disciples after Jesus' death. They went back to fishing even though they had clearly been mandated to forsake their vocation and follow Christ (see Luke 5:10-11; John 21:3). Because they were commercial fishermen, there may even have been economic motives behind their actions. Nevertheless, we see clearly that there was no lasting provision and no permanent peace in returning to past environments. When God leads us out of a place of familiarity and the way forward is blocked, what is the solution? There are some breakthroughs reserved for us that can only be accessed through prayer. We must seek God until we receive a clear answer from Heaven. Whether it was Paul's night vision of the man in Macedonia summoning him, or the voice of Jesus speaking to the disciples on the seashore in Galilee, the New Testament Christians received clear direction from the Spirit and were able to regain momentum and experience breakthrough. 2. DISAPATION OF RESOURCES Just as Elijah had foretold, the word of the Lord came to pass. "And there was a severe famine in Samaria ..." (1 Kings 18:2). During the famine, God looked after Elijah. He gave him specific instruction relative to how he would be sustained. "Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, 'Get away from here and turn eastward, and hide by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan. And it will be that you shall drink from the brook, and I have commanded the ravens to feed you there.' So he went and did according to the word of the Lord, for he went and stayed by the Brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan. The ravens brought him bread and meat in the morning, and bread and meat in the evening; and he drank from the brook" (1 Kings 17:2-6). Cherith which means "place of covenant," was where the Lord demonstrated His faithfulness in taking care of Elijah. However, the day would come when the brook would run dry and the birds would no longer fly (see 1 Kings 17:7). Although Elijah had come to depend on such provision, God seemed to have no compunction at all in cutting off these resources. Has Your Brook Dried Up? Have you experienced something similar? Your streams of resource have dried up. During such a time, trust that the Lord will soon speak to you like He did to Elijah. "Then the word of the Lord came to him, saying, 'Arise, go to Zarephath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See, I have commanded a widow there to provide for you'" (1 Kings 17:8-9). You will see that the place where He leads you will be the place where He feeds you. Where the Lord guides, He provides! 3. DISSOLUTION OF RELATIONSHIPS Here is a powerful truth to embrace when a key connection you value has dissolved for no apparent legitimate reason: The Lord is turning the hearts of men in the direction He desires (Prov. 21:1) and is in fact making it easier for you to let go and move forward into your next assignment. Therefore, do not take the matter personally nor become bitter with people as though they are rejecting you. TRUSTING IN GOD'S GOOD GUIDANCE Sometimes Father God's ways do not make sense to us. Scripture even attests to this reality."For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts" (Is. 55:9). No matter how it may appear on the surface, He is actively involved in the affairs of our lives. On occasion, He may even interrupt our plans resulting in us experiencing a sense of anxiety due to a perceived loss of control. However, as uncomfortable as we may become, we must trust that He is leading us along the best pathway for our lives. "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye on you" (Ps. 32:8). ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  11. Psalm 5:3 -- "In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation." Hearing from God is living with expectation toward Him because expectation places a demand on the Holy Spirit. We should live with expectation toward God twenty-four hours a day, for He abides within us at all times. God does talk. He is speaking continually. Christians need to develop their receivers (their human spirits) which will enable them to tune in to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Ultimately, the Lord desires that we LIVE A LIFE OF LISTENING. If we insist on God speaking audibly to us, it basically breaks one of His fundamental laws -- It is impossible to please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6). It takes no faith to hear or obey an audible voice. But it does take faith to pay attention to the still small inner voice and witness of the Holy Spirit. It takes dicipline to command all manner of distractions to be still while we wait before God. KEEPING A RECORD In beginning a life of expectation we need to keep a RECORD. Reasons for keeping a record: 1. The act of keeping a record is an act of expection in itself. You are expecting God to TALK TO YOU. Expectation pulls virtue out of God. 2. Impressions that you receive from God have a way of being quickly forgotten. Anything that God speaks to you is not a product of your reasoning mind or thought processes. Whatever way His voice comes to you, it all bypasses the intellectual reasoning process, and is given to your spirit. When the Lord 'drops' knowledge into one's spirit, it usually has nothing to do with the rationalizing process the mind was going through at the time. His voice may have actually interrupted our thought process. FOCUS ON THE HOLY SPIRIT IN OUR FIRST WAKING MOMENTS In the first few waking moments of the day, while the mind is still fresh and coming out of sleep, the Holy Spirit will talk to us. It's as though He catches the brain off guard, and in those first few seconds and minutes (if we pay attention) we will hear the Lord. If we start our day by thinking of all that needs to be done, our minds will attempt to figure things out, and we'll shut God out of our thoughts. If we focus on Him, He will talk to us and direct our day. AFFIRMATIONS: I live with expectation, I pray with expectation, I listen with expectation -- I hear HIS VOICE. I take time to listen to the Lord to hear strategies for myself, my family, and the needs of the Kingdom. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  12. False foundations, paradigms, illegitimate structures, systems, and limitations must bow to the Father's Kingdom. His Kingdom is perpetually coming to earth, and one day will fill the earth in Father's glory, as the water covers the sea. The Kingdom of God is within us and, whether we are noticing it or not, will continue to break through on earth as it is in Heaven. The shaking must happen, and yet those who desire to live in His inheritance that Christ paid for will see His glory now, in the midst of the natural chaos that is seemingly all around them. SOME REMINDERS OF THE FATHER'S KINGDOM 1. Kingdom is within: "The Kingdom of God does not come with observation; nor will they say, 'See here!' or 'See there!' For indeed, the Kingdom of God is within (or among) you." Luke 17:20-21 2. Kingdom approached through understanding: "When Jesus saw that he had answered wisely, He said to him "You are not far from the Kingdom of God." Mark 12:34 3. Kingdom accepted like a child: "I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." Mark 10:15 4. Kingdom entered through spiritual rebirth: "Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit." John 3:5 5. Kingdom entered through doing the will of God: "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but only those who do the will of My Father who is in Heaven." Matthew 7:21 6. Kingdom that will be inherited by the righteous: "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the Kingdom of God?" 1 Corinthians 6:9 OUR INHERITANCE IS NOW Father desires for us to live in His inheritance now, intimate and obedient to Him, accessing God's PURPOSE for our life on this planet, while eternity unfolds. One of the big reasons we have not seen the power of God through the Body of Christ is because most of the Body of Christ does not UNDERSTAND THEIR INHERITANCE THROUGH THE FINISHED WORK OF CHRIST, nor the incredible eternal seed of Father's glory that is within them. We are stuck in the idea of waiting on Jesus and Heaven, while Jesus and the substance of Heaven is waiting on us. So the shaking and awakening continues as the Lord brings us from our bankrupt paradigms and lifestyles, to Ambassadors of His Kingdom and influencers of His Heavenly Substance. EMBRACING HIS LOVE We must embrace His love on a continuum and not rely on what we see. As we seek His Kingdom, His love, His righteousness, what we need will be added, and Father will remove all fear and limitations that have kept us from His best. Healing and wholeness for the journey will come as we allow His light to dispel the darkness in our souls. Matthew 22:36-40 "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?" And He said to him, "'YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.' This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, 'YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.' On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets." Our identity is in Him, as movers and shakers of faith motivated by His love, and He has given us freedom to live, move, and have our being in His PURPOSE for our life and in His ways. By His Spirit we can choose to abandon fear and hopelessness, and embrace the DESTINY that has been deposited within each of us. AFFIRMATIONS: I am ready to expand my reality and become the destiny for which I have been predestined. I live my life with a sense of my unique devine destiny supported by goals and aims. As I look toward heaven, God is pointing me toward my destiny. I seek God for my destiny, and don't lose sight of the heavenly vision -- the advancement of His Kingdom. My promised land (my DESTINY) lies on the other side of fear. As I speak the Word over my own life and prophesy my own DESTINY in agreement with Him, I release the Holy Spirit in greater measure to bring the Word to pass. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  13. We need to stir up the holy gifts within us - they (THE GIFTS) begin to be released again when we remember God's goodness to us; when we learn to meditate in our hearts on His past faithfullness and His love for us. Hinderances to Heavenly Access include: 1. FORGETTING GOD'S PAST FAITHFULLNESS Psalm 78:41,42 - "Yes, again and again they tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel. They did not remember His power....." Psalm 78:11 - " They refused to walk in His law, and forgot His works and His wonders that He had shown them." Mark 8:17-19 - "Is your heart still hardened? Having eyes, do you not see? And having ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember? When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of fragments did you take up?" The disciples had lost the power of their understanding, and they were seeing in the natural, not with their spiritual eyes. 2. NOT EXERCISING YOUR SPIRITUAL SENSES Hebrews 5:14 - "But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil." Sensitivity comes by using what God gives us. The phrase "reason of use" means "habit or practice" in the Greek. Practice hearing the Lord's voice by: Soaking Being heavenly minded Waiting -- expecting God will show-up Laying hands on the sick 3. FAILURE TO HEAR HIS VOICE "TODAY" Hebrews 3:7-9 - "Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: 'Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, in the day of trial in the wilderness, where your fathers tested Me, tried Me, and saw My works forty years'" We should expect to hear from the Lord every day. Every day is "today". Sometimes it's a small nudge or an impression through a scripture. We shouldn't expect third heaven visitations each day, but we should hear from our Father each day. 4. THE CARES OF THE WORLD Mark 4:18,19 - "Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the word, and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful." You can't engage the revelatory when you are too caught up in the things of this world. When you are too focused on the temporal, you can't focus on the eternal realm. If your heart treasures the things of the world, then you will have a hard heart. 5. FAILURE TO REALIZE THE WORD IN OUR SPIRIT THROUGH AFFIRMATION, MEDITATION AND VISUALIZATION. 6. THE DECEITFULNESS OF SIN Hebrews 3:13 - "But exhort one another daily, while it is called 'Today', lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin." Questions to Ask Myself: 1. WHICH IN THE ABOVE LIST IS BLOCKING ME FROM MY HEAVENLY ACCESS? 2. HOW BADLY DO I WANT TO ACCESS HEAVEN IN MY DAILY WALK? WHAT IS MY PLAN OF ACTION? ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  14. (The Spirit of Your Mind) The spirit of your mind, which is the soul, is not to be confused with the human spirit or the recreated spirit. The spirit of your mind reflects attitudes, desires and feelings which may or may not be in line with God’s will. Examples of sources: other people, Satan, circumstances, scripture. 2 Corinthians 12:18 - "I urged Titus to go, and I sent the brother with him. Titus did not take any advantage of you, did he? Did we not conduct ourselves IN THE SAME SPIRIT and walk in the same steps?" (‘in the same spirit’ – attitudes, motives.) 2 Corinthians 11:4 - "For if one comes and preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, OR YOU RECEIVE A DIFFERENT SPIRIT which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you bear this beautifully." (‘or you receive a different spirit’ – through people or Satan or understanding.) Examples of "Spirit of Your Mind": 2 Corinthians 7:1 - "Therefore, having these promises, beloved, LET US CLEANSE OURSELVES from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. 2 Corinthians 4:13 - "But having the same SPIRIT OF FAITH, according to what is written, “I believed, therefore I spoke,” we also believe, therefore we also speak," 1 Corinthians 2:12 - "Now we have received, not THE SPIRIT OF THE WORLD, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God," 2 Timothy 1:7 - "For God hath not given us the SPIRIT OF FEAR; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." Affirmations: I AM RENEWED IN THE SPIRIT OF MY MIND; AND I PUT ON THE NEW MAN, WHICH WAS CREATED ACCORDING TO GOD, IN TRUE RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HOLINESS.(Ephesians 4:23,24) WHEN I SPEAK I COMPARE SPIRITUAL THINGS WITH SPIRITUAL. (1 Corinthians 2:13) HE THAT IS SPIRITUAL JUDGES ALL THINGS. (1 Corinthians 2:15) ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  15. What is the extent of our authority in Christ -- or do we have any authority?
  16. Isaiah 4:2-6 - "In that day the Branch of the LORD will be beautiful and glorious ..... When the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion and purged the bloodshed of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and the spirit of burning, then the LORD will create over the whole area of Mount Zion and over her assemblies a cloud by day, even smoke, and the brightness of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory will be a canopy. There will be a shelter to give shade from the heat by day, and refuge and protection from the storm and the rain." When we allow God’s purging fire to touch us He will place a covering of glory over our lives to protect us from the spirit of the world. There is a protection when we live in God’s purging fire. CONSUMED WITH HOLY PASSION Song of Solomon 8:6 - “Put me like a seal over your heart, Like a seal on your arm. For love is as strong as death, Jealousy is as severe as Sheol; Its flashes are flashes of fire, The very flame of the LORD." This verse says that the fire of love is actually the very flame of God. The best part about God’s fire is His fire of love. When we are touched by His fire He not only purges the dross out of our lives but He also consumes us with the fire of holy passion. God is looking to pull out His glory on the people who are consumed with one desire. As we allow His love to consume us and everything in us that is not of Him, these flames of passion will begin to light fires that not only burn in our hearts, but turn us into torches of blazing light. The light in us will draw those who do not yet know Him into the flames of His presence. OPENED HEARTS TURNED TOWARDS JESUS Revelation 1:14 - "His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and His eyes like a flame of fire." 2 Chronicles 16:9 - “For the eyes of the LORD move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His. You have acted foolishly in this. Indeed, from now on you will surely have wars.” Jesus is described as having eyes like flames of fire. He is looking for those whose hearts are opened and turned toward Him. The Lord wants to bring us to the place of the burning bush (Exodus 3:1-5). This revelation is what enables us to surrender all. It allows us to love and trust Him so completely that we lay down our agendas, turn aside from the everday, and launch out into the miraculous. It is what ignites us to be His flames of fire that burn - so the world might know His light. WITNESSING THE LOVE OF JESUS TO THE WORLD We go from the place of the burning bush where we encounter His love, to being burning bushes that carry His love. As we blaze with His love, shining brilliantly with the gifts, and fruits of the Spirit that witness that love to the world: 1. Many will be drawn from the paths they have been on and into encounters with the Holy One! 2. Many will be healed. 3. Many will be delivered. 4. Many will be saved. We become "human torches" that arise and shine, going forth into the streets and communities of cities and villages. People turn from their paths, come running up to us and ask, "What is this flame that does not burn you?" "What is this fire that radiates off of you?" "What is this warmth?" AFFIRMATIONS: I am a "human torch" that illuminates lost mankind. I carry the power and anointing of the kingdom of God. I set myself on God’s alter today to allow myself to be consumed by His fire of purging and His fire of love. I refuse to allow the move of God in me to be mis-carried. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  17. l. What is the Kingdom of God? Answer: Your spirit in union with God and the laws that govern that spirit realm. "For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit." -Romans 14:17 "Jesus answered and said to him, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.'" - John 3:3 "The kingdom of God does not come visibly, nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'there it is,' because the kingdom of God is within you." - Luke 17:20,21 2. Is it God's will for us to experience life as it is in the Kingdom of God? Answer: Find answer in the scriptures. "But seek His kingdom, and these things will be added to you...for your Father has chosen gladly to give you the kingdom." - Luke 12;31,32 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ." -Ephesians 1:3 "And raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus." - Ephesians 2:6 3. What law governs the Kingdom of God? Answer: Find answer in the scriptures. "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death." - Romans 8:2 "If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the spirit." - Galatians 5:25 4. What is the righteousness of God? Answer: The ability to stand in the presence of God without the sense of sin, guilt, or inferiority. "Jesus has cleared the way by the blood of his sacrifice, acting as our priest before God. The 'curtain' into God's presence is his body... -- full of belief, confident that we're presentable inside and out." - Hebrews 10:21,22 The Message "Therefore there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." - Romans 8:1 5. How do we receive His righteousness? Answer: We receive our righteousness by faith in the substitutionary sacrifice of the Lord Jesus Christ. "Adams sin brought punishment to all but Christ's righteousness makes men right with God, so that they can live." - Romans 5:18 "This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe." - Romans 3:22 "God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God." - 2 Corinthians 5:21 INTO ACTION: Affirm and meditate on the indicated scriptures several times daily until the renewing of your mind is made real to your spirit. AFFIRMATIONS: The Kingdom of God -- which is righteousness, and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit -- is within me. (Luke 17:21 & Romans 14:17) As I seek the Kingdom of God, all things God has for me will be added. (Luke 12:30-32) Since I am in Christ Jesus, God has made available to me wisdom, righteousness and sanctification, and redemption through faith in the blood of Jesus. (Romans 3:25) ALBERT FINCH MINSITRY
  18. "Truly, truly, I say to you , he who believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I go to the Father. Whatever you ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified in the Son."- John 14:12-13 God did not create us to be casual observers of history while we live here on earth. There is nothing casual about God! He is extreme, and He has called us to live extreme lives as history makers who live in constant increase as we go about transforming the world for His glory and His Kingdom, just as Jesus did! Jesus was extreme, and He branded and seared everything He touched with the Father's glory. He never settled for or experienced partial success. The Son's legacy made it possible for us to do the very same things that He did? The great and even greater miracles? That we have access to that very same fullness, the wisdom, and counsel. His dynamic legacy of miraculous and enabling power is our privilege. Even if we're in what the world may view as a pit, if we're suffering with infirmity or disease, losing everything -- we're still living on that divine plateau that Jesus laid before us! "But you shall receive power [dunamis: dynamite miraculous power, force, might, strength, enabling power through the Holy Spirit] when the Holy Spirit has come upon you." Acts 1:8 WHAT ARE YOU SETTLING FOR? If you have not, it may be because you have settled for less than God has intended and made available to you all along by His precious Spirit. Many of us are content with partial victories because of a MINDSET OF LIMITATION. People should beg to know Jesus when we walk into a room! We are not seeing the greater manifestations of God's might and power, the greater brightness of His glory flowing in and through us, empowering us to see truly incredible transformations. How He did blaze those incredible historic highways was by flowing in the "rich treasure of His glory" that the apostle Paul speaks about -- that treasure that fills you throughout all of your being unto ALL the FULLNESS of God (see Ephesians 3:16, 19) for that incredible, enabling dunamis power in all things. The Spirit of God and power go hand-in-hand. Paul himself said that his speech and preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power (see 1 Corinthians 2:4). Jesus blew the lid off limitation because He would not settle for a measure or for a limit. Human minds, wisdom and ability are limited. He had to seek and rely on the fullness of God's Spirit upon Him in wisdom, understanding, counsel, might, and knowledge, which enabled Him to do the things He did that radically changed the very course of history. Only the FULLNESS of God's Spirit satisfied Him. He did not move an inch without that rich treasure upon Him and the Spirit's fullness thereof flowing out of Jesus' heart; His presence manifested in everything. JESUS SAID: "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.' But this He spoke concerning the Spirit, whom those believing in Him would receive; for the Holy Spirit was not yet given, because Jesus was not yet glorified"' (John 7:37-39). Note that "river" is pluralized. This indicates multiple flows of the precious Holy Spirit so that by His divine power we will be partakers of His nature in us (see 2 Peter 1:3, 4). Each of these great flows of the precious Holy Spirit are available to every Believer to help us live in constant increase as we go about transforming the world for His glory. God desires us to see the Spirit of God flow in and through our lives for total victory and searing success in bringing in the Kingdom of God. We receive empowerment to do the extraordinary so that Jesus will receive glory and honor through His great power working in and through you. CEASLESS RIVERS OF LIVING WATER What it takes to transform or to see growth in your ministry or personal life is His constant manifest presence upon you and the fullness of Him operating through you in wisdom, understanding, might, knowledge, and reverent fear of the Lord. It is an limitless anointing available to all, which removes all limitation and impossibility. The Lord wants to release in and through your life these ceaseless rivers of living water so that your life would demonstrate daily the mighty and powerful flow of the Holy Spirit, that by His divine power, you can bless the land with His glory. 20. Should living in His presence as we go throughout the day be something we should attain to?
  21. To walk in overcoming victory we need a spiritual "brainwashing" to rid ourselves of "ungodly thinking." Our minds need to be thoroughly cleansed of the lies and filth of the world so we can put on the mind of Christ, learning to think as He thinks and to see as He sees. A cleansed and renewed mind will completely change our perception of life and the world around us. The Spirit of God is calling each of us to a higher standard: "...walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God" (Colossians 1:10). This is not a season to be apathetic and loose about our lifestyles. We must pursue our destiny in Christ and God's purpose for our lives. God calls all His people to a life of fruitfulness, which is the path to DISCIPLESHIP of others. As Paul writes: "Mark out a straight, smooth path for your feet so that those who follow you, though weak and lame will not fall and hurt themselves, but become strong." - Hebrews 12:13 (Living Bible) It is time for us to lay everything on the altar and embrace the holy fire of God's presence! We must present a mind that is wholly consecrated to Him. Like David, our cry must be: "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me" (Psalm 51:10). When we do, we will discover that the Lord transforms our worldly mind into a spiritual mind—His mind. THE SPIRITUAL MIND The apostle Paul contrasts the natural mind with the spiritual mind. The natural mind, corrupted by sin, is dulled and darkened to spiritual things, however brilliant it may be in its own natural sphere. There are many intellectually brilliant people who haven't a clue regarding spiritual realities. They are "...always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth" (2 Timothy 3:7). It takes a spiritual mind to comprehend spiritual truths. Paul goes so far as to say that it is impossible for the natural mind to comprehend the things of the Spirit: "But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." 1 Corinthians 2:14 As contradictory as it may seem, many true children of God remain dominated, for the most part, by the laws of their natural or carnal minds. One reason the Church struggles so much today, is because many Christians still think like the world, and thoughts give birth to actions. BELIEVING IS SEEING For example, some say, "I won't believe it until I see it." This is the exact opposite of a spiritual mindset. The natural mind says, "If I see, I will believe." The spiritual mind says, "If I believe, I will see." Paul clearly recognized our desperate need for a Spirit-enlightened mind, praying: "...that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power." (Ephesians 1:17–19) Only in His light can we see light (Psalm 36:9). We should cry out to God for spiritual eyes to see what we believe even as we seek each day to walk in the light of His revealed Word (Psalm 119:105). No matter how intellectually brilliant we may be, we cannot understand even the simplest concepts of God without the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit (Ezekiel 36:26). The knowledge of spiritual things does not come by intellectual effort. Rather, it comes only by divine revelation. This is why, when Peter declared to Jesus, "'You are the Christ, the Son of the living God,' Jesus answered and said to him, 'Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in Heaven'" (Matthew 16:16–17). WE HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST God's desire is for all His children to possess a spiritual mind and He has given us the capacity through the indwelling Holy Spirit (Nehemiah 9:20). What Jesus said to His disciples applies also to us: "Blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear" (Matthew 13:16). Do you want to cultivate your spiritual mind? Then immerse yourself in God's Word (Psalm 119:9). Pray for revelation and ask the Spirit of God to open your eyes to behold awesome things from heavenly realms (2 Kings 6:17). There is nothing wrong with intellectual knowledge and pursuit. God gave us our mind and expects us to use it. However, we should never depend upon mere human intellectual wisdom to advance us in the realm of the Holy Spirit (John 16:13). ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  22. "I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes so you can see. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will go in and eat with him, and he with me." - Revelation 3:18,20 It was to the last Church the Lord addressed in the Book of Revelation, the Church of Laodicea, that He gave His greatest promise to. Those promises are for His people today. When most people think of the Church of Laodicea, they think of the negative rather than the positive. We need to consider these great promises. First, we need to see why they are so great. Then we need to understand how overcoming the negative things this Church confronted will produce some of the greatest overcomers, the greatest saints, the world has ever known. The Church of Laodicea was so temporally prosperous that it caused them to become lukewarm, and made the Lord so sick that He would vomit them out of His mouth (Revelation 3:15-17). Being lukewarm is the worst condition a Christian can fall into. It reveals an ultimate contempt for the Lord. Indifference is the greatest affront to any relationship. ZEAL FOR THE LORD "Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent." - Revelation 3:19 The Lord called the Church at Laodicea to "therefore be earnest and repent" . We must recover and keep our zeal for the Lord if we are going to make it through these times. How do we do that? The Lord sent fire from His presence to light the fire on the altar in both the Tabernacle of Moses and the Temple that Solomon built. He then commanded the priests to KEEP THE FIRE GOING. God has lit every fire in every heart that has ever turned to Him. However, He expects us to keep it going. WE DO THIS BY: prayer, worship, studying and affirming His written Word to us, fellowshipping with others who have the fire, being the witnesses we are called to be, and embracing God's PURPOSEfor our life. We lose the fire when we give ourselves to sin and wickedness. This leads to lawlessness as described in Romans 6. The Lord warned that lawlessness would cause the love of most to grow cold. THE REMNANT PRINCIPLE The remnant principle was at work when the resurrected Lord told five hundred people to go to Jerusalem to wait for the promise of the Holy Spirit. However, just a few weeks later, there were only 120 gathered there. Yet that remnant was in "one accord" or unity. As Abraham demonstrated, true faith grows stronger with the passage of time, not weaker. The passage of time between when the promise is given and the fulfillment of that promise will usually thin out the crowd by removing those who do not have true faith, but are just caught up in the excitement of the moment. This does not mean that those with true faith will not waver sometimes too, but overall, true faith grows with the passage of time. Is our faith growing stronger, or are we going to slip into the majority that drifts away? People tend to draw their security by how many people are with them. True faith doesn't. True faith is faith in God, not how many people are with us. True faith is demonstrated by patience, which is why we are told that it is through "faith and patience" that we will inherit the promises. "Then, knowing what lies ahead for you, you won't become bored with being a Christian, nor become spiritually dull and indifferent, but you will be anxious to follow the example of those who receive all that God has promised them because of their strong faith and patience." - Hebrews 6:12 (Living Bible) ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  23. "Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, 'O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord'" (Ezekiel 37:4). Everywhere the Living Water flows, life will suddenly spring up! The more the Word is preached, prophesied, declared, affirmed, discipled and confessed the more the dry bones will rattle and rise from death to resurrection power as an exceedingly great army. THE FLOODING OF GOD'S SPIRIT IS COMING Let's all draw near to Him and ask Him to flood our individual lives and the lives we touch and minister to -- for everything the water touches will spring to life. Let's spend more time raising our spiritual consciousness with the truths of our inheritance in Christ from the Bible so that there are no "empty places" in our souls. Let's spend more time worshiping the Father and praying each and every day, letting the Living Waters fill us and then flow out of innermost being to the people whose lives God has given us to affect and change. Let's flood the atmosphere around us every day with the glory of God! For He is the Kingdom and the power and the glory. As we do this, then we will see exactly what Habakkuk 2:14 says - "For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  24. Luke 8:47 is the story of the woman who had an issue of blood who desperately pressed through the crowd to lay hold of the hem of Jesus' garment: "Then the woman, seeing that she could not go unnoticed, came trembling and fell at His feet. In the presence of all the people, she told why she had touched Him and how she had been instantly healed." When she reached out and touched Him, full of faith and expectation, Jesus stopped and said, "Who touched Me? His disciples replied, "Lord, many are touching you...we are in a crowd!" But Jesus said, "No, someone purposely touched Me because I felt virtue/power go out of Me." (See verse 45-46). And the woman was immediately made whole. GOD IS WAITING ON US TO SET THE TIME Most of the time when Jesus was healing the crowds of people He was doing that which He saw the Father doing. But in this instance it wasn't Jesus that "set the time" for this woman's miracle, but rather the woman "set the time" through her faith, desperation and determination. Many times when we are believing for a miracle we may feel we have positioned ourselves and we are waiting on God, when in fact, God is waiting on us to activate our faith to "set the time" for the release of the supernatural turnaround. In the words of John G. Lake, "If the Spirit doesn't move me, then I move the Spirit!" Now is the time for us to "set the time" and put a demand on the anointing of God to release miracles of provision, turnaround and healing. Pull your future miracle into the NOW by activating your faith and pressing into His presence as never before. Remember, every day is Jubilee when you are in Christ! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  25. Since the moment we first came to Christ, there has been an updraft of the Holy Spirit, a constant drawing from God lifting us upward toward the fullness of His Presence. Lets surrender to this wind of God and allow Him to carry us into our holy future (our DESTINY). The disciples did not just pray and sit around waiting for God to enter the "playing field" to convert the world on His own. They went out into the world so that the Holy Spirit might go into the World. "The Lord worked with them." - Mark 16:20 God plants His purpose in our lives in the epicenter of our heart and it will fuel new exploits in our lives. The first step to getting out of the box is to fellowship with the God of the breakthrough. The Holy Spirit will charge you with fresh vision and boldness. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
