  1. ** I'm not sure this is posted in the right place, I'm new here :). Moderators, if it's not, please move it to the right place. Thank you! To me, the video that is in this news article should send CHILLS up your spin, if you have children or grandchildren. THIS is one of the strongest evidences that we are truly in THE LAST DAYS that I can see. And please don't take me wrong...I'm not HOMOPHOBIC...(I have a daughter living this lifestyle who I love dearly and communicate with often) we need to show the Love of Jesus to people caught in sin....but that doesn't mean that we should CONDONE the sin or make them feel like they can be saved IN their sin. That is the beauty of the GOSPEL ~ that Jesus died to save us FROM our sins.
  2. We had recently here as Worthy had a spirited discussion about homosexuality and discrimination in the church. The nature of the discussion did not allow for too much thoroughness in related issues, and the theology around them. I was cruising YouTube this morning, and coincidentally, this topic came up in the recommended for you suggestions, probably because I have watched some Walter Martin videos. Anyway, I found them informational and helpful, in understanding some of the issues and background to these topics. There are several views represented, and they are moderated, so it does not get out of control. So, for you consideration are the following four videos:
  3. Is there anything wrong with our current model of doing Church? Could there be improvements made? Are the following elements biblical? 1. Tithing 2. Pastor salaries 3. Million-dollar church buildings 4. Seminary-trained pastors 5. Church incorporation Le me know what your thoughts are! Thanks
  4. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I7lxdWxTFyw Description from the ministry on this young woman's testimony: "Powerful Coming Out Story - Emily spent 7 years living out her same-sex attractions while being outspoken about God’s acceptance of her lifestyle. After her engagement with her female partner ended, she was invited to a Bible study. This weekly examination of the holiness of God challenged her day after day until her life completely changed. It is a powerful testimony that calls the homosexual community not to heterosexuality but to holiness. Emily’s story lovingly addresses the heart of the matter: that homosexuality is only one sin among many that manifests itself within a sinful heart. Only by the grace and mercy of God can we be transformed. Regardless of what you have done in your life, redemption is provided to you through Jesus Christ. Just like Emily, even if you have sinful desires and affections, God died for you. He can make you a new creation and save you from a terrible fate. God is rich in mercy and full of great love, and He provided a way out. The narrow road to salvation requires that you call sin what it is, repent of it, and trust that Christ’s death and resurrection is sufficient to atone for the punishment you deserve. If any man is in Christ, he is a NEW creation. Unless this happens for you, your sinful desires will always drive your actions and shape your interpretation of Scripture. As culture influences the church, even Christians are deceived on this topic. However, for the person who claims to be gay and a Christian, understand that it is not possible for Christians to remain in willful, unrepentant sin. 1 John 3:9 says, “No one who is born of God makes a practice of sin, for God’s seed abides in him; and he cannot keep on sinning, because he has been born of God.” God's message has always and will always involve crucifying the flesh with its passions and desires and living for Christ." Gal 5:24-25 And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. (25) If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
  5. Snip: "...When I went to college, I was feeling like homosexuality was my core identity. I just knew that Christianity was never an option for me. Not ever. I just thought I'm a gay man, I can't ever be Christian. Never the twain shall meet. ...I just put God even further on the back burner, and didn't even think of God at all."
  6. I am a 23 year old female. I've been struggling with my gender and sexuality since I was around 13 years old. I "came out" as gay in highschool. I "came out" as "transgender" a few years after that. I started dressing like a male around that time. I cut my hair short. I wore really baggy male clothes to hide my feminine figure. I even bound my chest. Everyone in my family knows me as a transgender. They know I like male stuff (Like video games, sci-fi, and fantasy stuff). They started calling me my "preferred name" a few months ago. I don't want to be known as a transgender or lesbian anymore. I want to be a woman. A godly woman. A woman who wears women's clothes, and covers her head like women are told to in the Bible. I believe pants were made for men. And, 99% of women's pants are too tight and not modest at all. I want to be a modest woman. I want to start wearing skirts and dresses. I want to grow my hair out. I dont want to sin like this anymore. Is there anyone here who has been suffering the same as me? I really need help right now. I feel so lost. I prayed to God for help, but, so far, nothing's happened. Well, I don't think anything's happened. I've been watching people's testimonies on YouTube, of ex-transgenders and ex-homosexuals. I think that is God's way of telling me that what I am doing is a sin. Is it? Do you think so? I've never acted on my homosexual thoughts, but I have watched porn before, and I feel really ashamed, guilty, and disgusted at myself for doing so. I believe masturbation and pornography is a sin, but I can't stop. I'm addicted to it. Please, anyone, help. Any ex-transgenders or ex-homosexuals, preferably women, on here? I would really like some advice on what to do about this situation. Thanks in advance, God bless, and sorry that this post is so long! ♡
  7. Hello all, My husband and I have been together about 5 years and we have a 1 year old. We have had a few issues with him lying and drinking. When he drinks (which is very rare) he turns into a whole other person. The other night he drank some alcohol late around 930 and said he just wanted to relax and get some work done because he normally works on the computer at night. I woke up the next morning and he had left his phone on the counter and the alarm was going off. I turned it off and noticed he had a new email asking for pictures... I scrolled down and saw he had messaged that person . My heart sank. He was looking in the m4m section on Craigslist and messaged multiple men. I only saw one other message and then immediately went upstairs to confront him. He hurried and deleted the messages and said he doesn't know what came over him or why he would do that. He swears he isn't attracted to men but I feel there must be an underlying issue. I said he wouldn't message men and be willing to act on it if he hadn't dabbled in that area before. He is going to seek counseling but he can't meet with anyone until Tuesday afternoon. I am hurt. I don't know who to talk to. I'm beyond embarrassed and feel disgusted. I don't know what to to or how to move past this. I keep seeing the 2 messages I saw over and over again. I'm a stay at home mom and I just can't stop thinking about this. Please if you have any advice let me know. Prayers are very appreciated in this hard time. Thank you...
  8. Washington State Supreme Court Upholds Ruling Declaring Florist Must Service ‘Gay Weddings’ From a portion of the newsletter, emphasis mine: “We had gone to Arlene’s for many years and enjoyed her service. She did a great job for us, so it was just natural for us to go there to have her do our flowers,” Freed told KUOW radio. Stutzman stated that she politely explained that she would not be able to help in regard to the event, but referred him to three other florists that could be of assistance. “I just took his hands and said, ‘I’m sorry. I cannot do your wedding because of my relationship with Jesus Christ,’” (the florist) Stutzman told reporters. But after Ingersoll decided to post on Facebook about the matter, controversy arose on both sides of the issue—both for and against Stutzman. The florist said that she received a number of threatening and angry comments. “It blew way out of proportion,” Stutzman explained. “I’ve had hate mail. I’ve had people that want to burn my building. I’ve had people that will never shop here again and [vow to] tell all their friends.” "...Rob Ingersoll and I have been friends since very nearly the first time he walked into my shop all those years ago,” Stutzman said in a statement following the decision. “There was never an issue with his being gay, just as there hasn’t been with any of my other customers or employees. He just enjoyed my custom floral designs, and I loved creating them for him.” “But now the state is trying to use this case to force me to create artistic expression that violates my deepest beliefs and take away my life’s work and savings, which will also harm those who I employ,” she continued. “I’m not asking for anything that our Constitution hasn’t promised me and every other American: the right to create freely, and to live out my faith without fear of government punishment or interference.” Stutzman now plans to appeal her case to the U.S. Supreme Court.
  9. Hey everyone I have a question? As we know, homosexuality is a sin in the bible. The question I have is this. Why are Christians forced to accept it when we know the truth and how it is a sin? Feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  10. NATIONS LARGEST Atheist group files complaint againstChristian School for Disciplining LGBT Students The atheist organization Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) has filed a complaint against a Christian school for the school’s LGBT policy. According to The Christian Post, St. John’s Lutheran School of Baraboo, Wisconsin, says it maintains the right as a private Christian school to “discipline and dismiss student” for their adherence to a homosexual lifestyle. The FFRF, also a Wisconsin-based organization, alleges that the school does not have the right to discriminate against LGBT students. The FFRF filed a complaint with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction earlier this month. “St. John’s Lutheran School has implemented policies that discriminate against students on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity,” stated Patrick Elliot of the FFRF. “As these students are unable to attend the school, they are unable to participate in free and reduced price lunch programs.” In comments emailed to The Christian Post, the school maintains that “the complaint is without merit.” They also said the school is “confident that the government will recognize, as it always has, the church’s constitutional right to teach and practice our beliefs without interference from the government.” “The federal funds we receive are designed to help children and families not fund and operate our school,” the St. John’s continued. “We will gladly cooperate with any investigation, and we want to continue to provide these government programs to our families.” The Christian Post notes that St. John’s Lutheran School is affiliated with the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS), which maintains that marriage is between one man and one woman. The school says that, in disciplining or expelling LGBT students, it is not acting in a spirit of anger, but is instead adhering to biblical instruction that homosexuality is a sin. “We must warn the impenitent that homosexuality, like all sins, excludes people from eternal life (1 Corinthians 6:9-10),” says a statement from the WELS. “We are happy to assure the repentant who are struggling against this sin that they have complete forgiveness through the blood of Christ. When Christ died for all of the sins of the whole world, he gained forgiveness for homosexual deeds, for homosexual desires, and for the inborn sinful nature that produces these sins (1 Corinthians 6:11),” continued the statement
  11. Hoping for the rest of the country to follow suit. How rare is it these days to see a vote 161-0? Part of the article: ‘Pastor Protection Act’ Unanimously Passes Georgia House "ATLANTA, Ga. — The Georgia House of Representatives unanimously approved a bill this week that protects clergy from punishment if they decline to perform same-sex “weddings.” H.B. 757 was introduced last summer by Rep. Kevin Tanner, R-Dawsonville, and found support from Democrats and Republicans alike. “No minister of the gospel or cleric or religious practitioner ordained or authorized to solemnize marriages, perform rites, or administer sacraments according to the usages of the denomination, when acting in his or her official religious capacity, shall be required to solemnize any marriage, perform any rite or administer any sacrament in violation of his or her right to free exercise of religion under the Constitution of this state or the United States,” the bill reads in part. In addition to churches, the bill also applies to religious schools, missionary societies and denominational conventions. “The Pastor Protection Act is a simple reaffirmation of our bedrock principle of separation of church and state,” Tanner told reporters. “It makes clear that Georgia respects and honors the sacred oaths taken by our pastors, priests, rabbis and other clergy and that government has no intention of asking them to violate those oaths.” Homosexual advocacy groups decried the move, opining that it grants a “license to discriminate.” “It allows faith-based organizations to withhold services if they choose to do so,” Jeff Graham, the executive director of Georgia Equality, said in testimony before the Senate Rules Committee, which is considering a similar combined bill. “I am especially concerned that this bill will have a chilling effect on the state’s LGBT families.” As previously reported, a homosexual activist has been calling for clergy nationwide to stop calling homosexuality sinful. According to the New York Times, Mitchell Gold of Faith in America told the publication last May that “church leaders must be made ‘to take homosexuality off the sin list..." "...The Pastor Protection Act passed 161-0 on Thursday. “There’s a global threat to religious liberty occurring,” said Dr. Daniel Ausbun, pastor of First Baptist Church in Moreland in a column published in the Newnan Times-Herald on Saturday. “Religious liberty is the freedom to believe and practice your faith apart from government interference...”
  12. The bible says we as Christians are not to partake in the sins of another. Homosexuality is a sin. So why is baking a cake for them sin or against Christian beliefs? What I am having trouble with is this. Jesus was called a drunk and a glutton and a friend of sinners because that's who he was around most of the time. One of his first miracles in the book of John is turning water in to wine at a wedding after everyone had gotten drunk. If Jesus can create wine and be at a wedding where people are going to drink the wine he just made ( after they have already been drinking a good while ) to get drunk. If Jesus can be around " sinners " all the time to the point that people call Jesus a drunk and a glutton , Then why is it wrong to bake a cake for a gay wedding? Firestormx
  13. I'm a mother of a 16 year old daughter and she just told me that she's gay. I'm devastated to a point where I cried every night, could'nt sleep or eat. I love my daughter very much but I have a hard time accepting this. My husband on the other hand is more accepting. I didn't get mad at her when she told me this. I was calm. She believes that she's born this way and that this is who she is. I, on the other hand believe that it's a choice. A lifestyle choice. I believe that nobody is born gay...just like nobody is born a murderer, a gambler, an adulterer. I explained to her that having sexual desires with the same sex is not a sin unless you act upon it. She then told me that she believes that being gay is not a sin. Her exact word is "How could God hate me if this is the way I was born? God supposed to love everyone". I'm really hurt by this and just today i caught myself questioning God. I even asked God that if this is something she's born with then I need help for him to change me...to make me accept my daughter unconditionally...but if this is something she is choosing to do, then please help my daughter to change, to guide her to the right path, to open her eyes to the truth before it's too late. She's a good daughter. She does good at school, she doesn't drink or do drugs, she's still a virgin ( she's not sexually active). I really don't believe that she's gay because she had one bf before and it lasted for almost 4 months. I'm just so confused right now. I need prayers...and I am asking God to guide her with the choices she'll make. Please I need help. I'm so depressed right now I don't know what to do or how to handle this situation. Please help.
  14. I just learned about this new "version" of the Bible today and there are just no words for the mockery involved with it. This is way beyond changing gender pronouns, it is literally re-writing, adding, and subtracting from God's Holy Word. This is so wrong and horrible. https://carm.org/queen-james-bible
  15. Hey the way to deliverance is Christ and trusting in his power to deliver you. Before I met Christ when I was 18 I had struggled with the same thing during my school years and it was terrible, but when Christ came in my life their was overcoming power to overcome it and it left. Christ said in the gospel of John that we should be of good courage because he has overcome the world and every single temptation and struggle and was perfect through everything. He his the source, the Life and power. And our everything. John
  16. I've been in multiple debates recently about God and homosexuality, I want to get more people thinking about it and want to know about other people's thoughts. Is the psychology of it (having the attraction towards the same sex) a sin in itself? Is just the acting upon the attraction the sin? Or is none of it a sin at all? Another point, is that some non-Christians accuse Christians of not liking homosexuals and thinking of them as bad people. This really annoys me, how people can so easily generalise us. I myself do not understand or agree with homosexuality...but that doesn't mean I think homosexuals are bad people! We are ALL bad in the eyes of God. What say you on these matters? =)
  17. I kind of struggle with this issue too. I know that Jesus commands us to love all people, even our enemies, and that it says in the Bible, 'judge not least you be judged yourself. ' But I know it also says very explicitly, 'a man shall not lay with a man, nor a woman with a woman. ' So I don't understand how homosexuality can, at any level, be accepted by the church, and especially for example, how it's possible to have homosexual and lesbian priests and ministers when it seems eminently clear that God has explicitly forbidden homosexuality as being immoral under divine law. Doesn't the church require persons wanting to be members of the clergy and wear the holy cloth to uphold, be an example of, and live by all of God's commandments...?
  18. Obama agenda won't tolerate 'preference for heterosexuality' in other countries Homosexuals, prostitutes, and transgendered people of Central America are about to receive another boost from the Obama administration, which is expanding an HIV program initially launched during the William J. Clinton presidency. But chief among impediments to achieving U.S. policy goals in the region are “conservative gender norms related to sexuality and strong normative preference for heterosexuality,” a revised government planning document says. Organizations that help “Most-at-Risk Populations,” or MARPs, therefore, will be the beneficiaries of this Phase Two initiative, according to the revised Statement of Work detailing the Central America Project for a Sustainable Response to HIV, or PASCA II... [T]hanks to U.S.-taxpayer funded measures such as “condom and lubricant social marketing,” USAID already has helped spark behavior change among MARPs, the document explicitly says. 19. Russian vodka goes down the drain as gay activists in the US protest against a Russian law dubbed by Western media as "anti-gay." Meanwhile, the law "against promoting homosexuality to minors" finds support in traditional Russia. The Russian legislation passed on June 30 was met with cries of outrage and calls by gay activists for a determined response. Demonstrators around the US have joined the LGBT community on the weekend by dumping vodka into the street calling for a ban of all Russian food and drink in protest to what they call ‘Russia's anti-gay laws.’ The law sparked concerns in the Western media, with some speculating that it prohibits ‘holding hands’, according to ABC Good Morning America, or that the ‘offenders face jail sentences’, according NBCNews. Meanwhile, the law is not about punishing people for being homosexual, but rather it intends to keep minors from being influenced by non-traditional sexual relationship propaganda and it will be enforced with fines, but not criminal punishment. A recent survey carried out by Russia’s Independent Levada Center in July shows that the overwhelming majority of Russians do not support non-traditional sexual orientation. The poll conducted regularly returns almost identical results each time. RT news http://rt.com/news/russia-gay-propaganda-law-069/

  22. Defense Secretary Panetta announced on Friday that June is LGBT Pride Month in the DoD. It is one thing to tolerate LGBT by repealing the don’t ask don’t tell policy. It something else to ENDORSE homosexuality. And that is what they are doing. http://www.advocate.com/politics/milita ... ride-month There are no details yet about how the LGBT Pride month will be celebrated, but I can hazard a guess as a DoD employee. There will be advocacy events staged on military bases all over the world, with hundreds of military and civilian service members assigned to organize and run them. This will send a clear message to all our forces, and to all of the countries worldwide where we operate: The US thinks homosexual activity is GOOD, so wonderful in fact, that we need to set aside one month a year to celebrate it. And you the taxpayer will pay for it ALL. This move raises questions about free speech rights. Will uniformed military be permitted to speak out against LGBT Pride? Will their careers be hurt if they do? As a DoD civilian employee, I also wonder about my rights. Will I be disciplined or fired or passed over for promotion, if I make a stink about it? This also raises questions about the focus on Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transgenders. Why are we honoring THEM? There are a significant number of uniformed military who faithfully serve their country and who also cheat on their spouses and indulge in porn. When are going to set aside a month for Adultery Pride or Pornography Pride? Of course, this won’t happen because those practices are still viewed as despicable. But there is no honor in evil, no pride in perversion, whatever form it takes. As the Bible declares, as research has revealed, homosexuality is just as bad for relationship health as adultery and pornography. And yet our military and presidential leadership is 100% behind the gay lifestyle. And because your taxes pay for military spending, you are 100% behind it, too. We live in one of the darkest chapters in US history and are quickly becoming a nation much like Sodom. I am now ashamed of my country and the military I serve.
