  1. I say this because we are under attack here in the USA from sodomite characters. "Satan is pushing an incest agenda in the liberal church. He has formed an Antichrist club using fallen away Christians, and they are repeatedly preying on people's doubts." Jesus said "And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it." Matthew 16:18. They seem to be using any leverage they can in our families, friends, and work mates to attack. Lust has gone to a different level. So we need to pray against this, and for the addicts Satan is using to attack His church. We pray for their salvation, which is so much better than attacking God's church with their sick strategies against men, women, and children. For there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, and nothing concealed that will not be known or brought out into the open. Luke 8:17
  2. The projects here have been downsized + they added hip culture to the downtown scene, along with landscaping that looks nice. Downtown Toledo is constantly being upgraded, built back up, restored. There are still wars in this city, anger + violence we see and experience on a daily basis. Anger may not be the best word, rage in the people, no rage in some. Last week a local thief was thrown out of a forth story window and fell to his death. Shortly before that we lived with him here at the Cherry Street Christian Homeless Mission downtown Toledo. A few weeks ago one of our brothers was struck by a car that came up after him to hit him on the sidewalk. We have no idea what this was all about. Toledo drivers are very complacent, disinterested in driving, only in texting + driving way too fast + running over a white person may not be the worst thing in the world either. Many blacks here despise you if you're white, some grow up without one white person around ever. Each week we look forward to outside charity meals + clothes giveaways hosted by local christians. Saturday @ 11am, then Sunday @11am in a different location. We go through the same routine everyday, making our beds after checking in at 6pm to the Men's Building. Letting the guys search our backpacks for drugs and running the wands over us for weapons. We get to watch TV in the community room + we can play pool and foosball until 9pm. Same routine everyday, same rules with the staff. We have to endure many hurt men who have been banned from their families, kicked out of their homes. King 👑 Jesus shows up anytime we pray, and He is with the leaders here. If we pray with them, amazing results can and do happen. And it alleviates the stress and having to listen to homeless people talking to themselves every single day. You absolutely have to learn to explain things to the needy, and rebuke them when necessary, or you can become a target. It is best to use scripture because it feels like wild hyenas when it gets going... The reality of Scripture works best to survive, then thrive in any third world environment when dealing with mankind. There is a Heaven's elder man here who prays in a tongue that sounds like old Italian + latin combined. When doing so the whole area fills with Heaven's light + pure love & joy. Another gentlemen showed up from Michigan lately who prayed for me + called down Heaven's authority including an arch angel to attack the enemy's works, it gave us a path to see a sign change from Heaven 3 days ago.
  3. Jesus has been challenging us to accept confrontation when it happens with courage. And it has been awesome overcoming fear in those times, striving towards the faith measurements for the bride's dress. Now we are attempting to understand how we have all been bound, loosed striving to never be bound again. The question is can we accept the psychosomatic attributes of people who are bound as well? Their feelings are also to be loosed, and accepted. So we have to explain things about our imperfect selves, to them who saw us bound and struggling now being perfected, and want some of it for themselves without being judged. Even when they are homeless, wreckless and possibly drunk.
  4. Colors have a deep meaning to us. The meaning of the color white is timeless. The Word of God calls all Christians to the purity symbolized by white. How can we be clothed in white? https://raptureandendtimes.com/2020/11/07/two-americas-are-you-red-white-or-blue/
  5. John 16:23 “And in that day you will ask Me nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. 24 Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. Gospel of Thomas verse 106 Jesus said, “When you make the two into one, you will become children of Adam, and when you say, ‘Mountain, move from here!’ it will move.” verse 48 Jesus said, “If two make peace with each other in a single house, they will say to the mountain, ‘Move from here!’ and it will move.” ( Are we not the house, the temple?) aramaic translation John 16:23 All things that you ask straightly, directly, from inside my name, you will be given. So far you have not done this. (Because if we have asked with our voice we have not done this.) 24 Ask without hidden motive, and be surrounded by your answer, be enveloped by what you desire that your gladness be full. Look at what it’s saying. It’s not saying to speak a word, it’s saying be surrounded, to feel as if. If you are surrounded you are feeling as if your answer has already happened. Feel the feeling of what is it like as if that has already happened. Because that is when your thought and emotion become one. Say you think the thought of the healing in your loved ones and you feel the love of that thought. They become one and that is the language that the divine recognizes. Jesus was teaching those around him how to use the power of human emotion in his life.. To unleash the force of the divine in our lives. First we must understand how it works. Second We must speak the language that the Divine recognizes. When you create that feeling in your heart as if your prayer has already been answered. Ask without hidden motive, Ask without the Judgement, without the ego. Ask for the quality of the feeling, To be surrounded, to be enveloped to create that feeling. Ask from the Heart.

  10. My personal experience in my walk with God has always been to not veer too far to the left or to the right. This includes prayer. I have seen both extremes. I have seen people being too familiar with the Lord. For example: calling Jesus "my home boy." I don't subscribe to nor advocate that. It is in bad taste and FAR from the way those in the Bible who belonged to the Lord treated Him. On the same token, I have seen fear inhibiting prayer (not the 'proper respect type of fear' but the 'truly scared of God fear' where Christians are terrified of Him.) Though I fully believe we must always be reverent towards God, I also believe we should consider Him our best friend and pray accordingly. Telling Him our deepest, darkest secrets (after all, He already knows. ) He will never fail or betray us, as mere mortals will to one degree or another. God is perfect and perfectly caring. Not using spiritual (but man-made) terminology (as if we could impress God. lol) Not religious sounding (lengthy) prayers like the Pharisees engaged in. Rather, speaking to Him from the heart..."keeping it real." David struck a balance in his prayer life. He cried out to God about injustice and hardships. Yet He would go on in the next breath to praise Him. The Psalms are replete with this. Us praying in faith is important to God. By this I mean we come to Him with earnest expectation that He really does hear us. "For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears are open to their prayers; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” (1 Peter 3:12) “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6) Faith will help us to approach Him... not cowering and timid, but trustingly. Seeing Him as our loving heavenly Father. "So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most." (Hebrews 4:16) Prayer is often thought of as what we can receive from God. But we need to couple it with what can we give to Him. Because we love Him. One thing He would desire of us is that we bring Him hearts filled with gratitude. The giving of thanks should always be a part of our prayers.
  11. "knock and the door will be opened to you." Imagine this unprecedented event. Christians, from all over the world, united physically in congregations, united virtually through technology, united spiritually in the Holy Ghost, praying together with a clear, unified intention: shortening, hastening the Return of the Lord (2 Peter 3:12, Revelation 22:17, Revelation 22:20, Matthew 6:5-13, Luke 18:1-8) Wouldn’t the Lord be quick, in fulfilling their holy prayer? “[…] And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unjust judge says. And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” This is not happening yet, but we can make it happen. SUMMARY (You can freely download the pdf) 1 - Brief history of the Church 2 – God wants men to cooperate his plans 3 – The importance of prayer and the Lord’s prayer 4 – The Last Day 5 – While in the world 6 – Warnings 7 – Avoid misconceptions 8 – An unprecedented event 9 – SOURCES 1 - Brief history of the Church Along the history, many spiritual leaders did not listen to (Matthew 23:9-10) “And do not call anyone on earth 'father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah.” Therefore, it comes as no surprise that many false teachings did spread for centuries. Nor it is a surprise that true Christians come to a better understanding of some concepts through centuries, because luckily some of them are able to get rid of the false teachings they have received. Indeed, luckily some listened to Matthew 23:9-10. Moreover, Jesus said (John 16:12): ”I have much more to say to you, more than you can now bear. But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.” Thus, an increasing understanding, founded on the Gospels and never contradicting them, is to be expected through history. 2 – God wants men to cooperate his plans Even though God could do everything alone, by not waiting his followers to align their will to His will, still he wants men to decide to cooperate with Him, to proceed in His salvation Plan. For those who knows the Scriptures, it’s not needed to quote the countless times in which God waited for men to turn to Him, and adhere His plan, before making things happen. Because being a loving Father, he doesn’t force His will upon men. 3 – The importance of prayer and the Lord’s prayer Point 2 on cooperation between God and men, is one of the reasons why Jesus stressed so much the importance of prayer. To be short, we only quote some passages, but there are countless ones in the Gospels alone: (Matthew 7:7) “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” (John 16:24) “Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.” Of course, we need to make prayers aligned with God’s will. But even if something is already in God’s will, it’s really important for us to pray for it, because the Lord doesn’t want to force his gifts upon us, but He wants us to desire Him. Otherwise, there wouldn’t be any need for any prayer whatsoever. Now, what’s the only prayer that the Lord directly taught us? The Lord’s prayer. Let’s examine some passages: “your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” […] “And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.” Now, let’s think about it, by knowing the Scriptures. When and how can the Lord completely fulfill these requests? Could they be fulfilled while we are still on earth? 4 – The Last Day It doesn’t take a leap of imagination, to realize that the Lord’s prayer promises will be fully fulfilled only with the Rapture and His Second Coming. [Even the only apparently not messianic request about the “bread”, is translated somewhere as “the bread of tomorrow”, thus indicating the bread of the Kingdom.] Now, it’s not a purpose of this work to choose which interpretation of the Second Coming is more Scriptural. Whatever it is, pre/post/multi/anti/tribulation,this is not the point here. The point is that only in the Last Day, the Lord will fully fulfill the Lord’s prayer requests. Now, are we aware of this? Are we, most Christians, praying that prayer with full intention and awareness, with the awareness that we are asking the Lord, according to His will, to shorten the days of His coming? It doesn’t seem like this awareness has been fully reached so far, but now the times may be arrived. Now this intention can be shared to Christians all over the earth. And it’s nothing new, it’s something fully Scriptural (2 Peter 3:12, Revelation 22:17, Revelation 22:20, Matthew 6:13), it’s just a better understanding of the power of our prayer in the name of Jesus. We are not predicting the day or the hour, and we’ll never try to do it. There is no needing of knowing the day nor the our, to ask the Lord to come quick, according to His will. How powerful would be this prayer, shouted by all His elects? What if some wise pastors could be able to share this intention to Christians all over the world, and all together we could pray “Come”, and “Deliver us from evil”, with the full understanding that we are asking for the Rapture, instead of passively waiting for it? This would be an unprecedented event in History, since so far most Christians have passively waited for it 5 – While in the world Asking for the rapture, doesn’t cut off any obligation for a true Christian life. Before Jesus returns, we’ll still have the obligation to love everyone, serve other people, improve the society, improve ourself, spread the Gospel. All of these commandments are in the Gospel and are immutable. At the same time, with this prayer, we clarify our intention to God, we tell Him that we are ready, and it is now time for our plans to align with His plans, and that we fully want and responsibly request His return for the elects. 6 – Warnings Unfortunately, there will always be some Christians who don’t really want the Lord to come soon. They are not excited at all about Heaven. Exactly like in these Parables: (Luke 14:15-20) “When one of those at the table with him heard this, he said to Jesus, “Blessed is the one who will eat at the feast in the kingdom of God.” Jesus replied: “A certain man was preparing a great banquet and invited many guests. At the time of the banquet he sent his servant to tell those who had been invited, ‘Come, for everything is now ready.’ “But they all alike began to make excuses. The first said, ‘I have just bought a field, and I must go and see it. Please excuse me.’ “Another said, ‘I have just bought five yoke of oxen, and I’m on my way to try them out. Please excuse me.’ “Still another said, ‘I just got married, so I can’t come.’ (Luke 19:14) "But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him to say, 'We don't want this man to be our king.' (John 12:43) “For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.” But other Christians who aspire to Heaven, would have no reason to not pray this prayer. In the worst case, it will have no effect. In the best case, how glad we will be, to see the Lord coming quickly for us. 7 – Avoid misconceptions Q: “Does praying the Lord to come quickly mean that we don’t trust His promise that He will come?” A: “Absolutely not. The Lord knew the future. He knew about the prayers from His elects, and that he wouldn’t wait to fulfill them. Exactly as in countless other situations, in which the Lord has waited for men to ask Him for what is good. (Matthew 15:21-28). We are sure that His promise will be fulfilled, but we want to be among the ones that have aligned with His will and asked Him to fulfill it quickly.” Q: “Are we forcing the Lord to do something not in His will? Doesn’t He know the Right Time?” A: “He knows the Right Time, and we don’t know according to which criteria He has decided it. But according to the prayer He taught, when He decided it, part of the weight for the decision, came from considering the prayers of His elects (2 Peter 3:12, Revelation 22:17, Revelation 22:20, Matthew 6:13, Luke 18:1-8). Exactly as in other situations, He gave importance and weight to the will of his disciples and prophets, when aligned to His will” Q: “Are Christians praying this prayer exempt to contribute to society, and to spend their lives serving others until the Lord come?” A: “Absolutely not. A real Christian will follow all Jesus words, not only ones about prayer, respect the laws of his country, and will spend His life helping other people, so that when the Lord will come, he will find him ready.” (Matthew 24:45-51) “Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” Q: “Will shortening the return of the Lord prevent some people from salvation?” A: “First off, remember that there will never be a moment on earth in which everyone will be Christian, before the rapture. It is not written anywhere. On the contrary, it is written about an increasingly diminishing of faith. Moreover, people who haven’t met Christ but are seeking for the Truth in their hearts, and are loving their brothers, will be likely raptured too. Exactly as some other righteous people like Socrates, will be raised in the last day, while evil people who are not seeking for repentance because they don’t have the seed of repentance in their hearts, will be left. Therefore, there is no such risk in shortening the day. Otherwise, the Lord wouldn’t have taught us this prayer.” Q:”What about theological and philosophical implications of this event Why someone is taken and someone else left?” A: “These are not treated here. They will be treated in other works, and some wise pastors will be able to answer this, by following the Scriptures” 8 – An unprecedented event If most Christian living today will share this intention, and pray together for it, this will be an unprecedented even in the history of the world. If the rapture happened centuries ago, it would have likely remained unexplained and not testified everywhere. But nowadays, thanks to technologies and to the Gospel spread everywhere, it will be testified to people of all nations, and everyone will know what happened. Now, our hope is that some wise Christian, who spent their lifes in the hope of Jesus’ Return, will actively spread this prayer and this intention among other pastors and Christians, so that all of us may be reunited under the Lord’s prayer, and pray together, with full intention and understanding and without the usual countless distractions and desires: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day the bread of the Day that is coming. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Maranatha. 12. How do you know if you're hearing from the Holy Spirit or if its just other people's frequencies that you're tapping into? How do you know it's not other people's spirit that you're connecting with?
  13. I'm in an odd situation, one that led me to this forum to begin with. Recently, I've been trying to use a prayer journal and pray for specific individuals. In that time, I've felt a very strong desire to pray for an individual that I used to be infatuated with, whom I have not been in contact with in some years. The problem: back then, I idolized and lusted after this person. I genuinely placed them before God in pretty much every area of my life. Ex: he was on the worship band, so I stared at him during worship. He was funny, so I always thought of his jokes during church services. I would be so upset on days that he wouldn't talk to me, but I rarely ever prayed. (I know, I'm ashamed just thinking about it.) God told me in no uncertain terms that this person was not the one for me, even when I was still trying to hold on. Back to the present: I am actively trying to stop thinking about this person, and though it's taken some time, I've been mostly successful. I've been more focused on growing in my relationship with God than ever before, and I'm almost always in prayer. I have felt a call to pray for that person, their walk with Christ, their resistance to temptation, finding a community of believers, and so on. However, I do not trust my intentions. I don't know if this is truly God moving on my heart to pray for this person, or if this is me trying to stay attached to this person through prayer. If this is God's will, I don't want my fears to stop me--especially if this person really is wrestling with their faith. However, if this is just my flesh, I don't want to let myself fall back into old patterns of sin (lust and idolatry). So I guess my question is, is this God or my flesh talking? What advice would you give me on handling this situation? I have asked God for confirmation on whether or not this is Him. I have also asked a family member, a couple people who are more spiritually mature than me, and a couple friends. Now I'm asking for your input. Please help! Thanks!
  14. Reaching Out Silently praying, I wait for You. Help me O Lord, your will to do. Humbly I bow, searching my heart. Crying inside: 'Where do I start ?' I stretch out my hand . . . . . . Why can't I reach? I know you're the Man . . . . . . to heal the breach. Still on my knees, I continue to pray. You are my Lord. Please meet me half way. Teach me to stand, upright and tall. My whole desire, is to give You my all. Amen (originally written in 1995)
  15. When pain and suffering cloud my way And make it hard to even pray I'll sometimes feel God isn't near And be consumed by doubt and fear When trials loom large and worries soar Till I can't take it anymore When it's too much for me to bear It all comes back to God and prayer
  16. Why does God need me to pray, for what, who, and how? God wants me to let Him awaken and open the ears of my heart so that I can hear God’s Spirit speak to me through His word. Isa 50:4 The Lord GOD…awakens my ear to hear as the learned (His disciple). Rev 2:7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says… Have you chased down a truth in the Bible recently, with your heart? Let’s do that today, let’s chase down the truth of why God needs prayer, and then what He tells us about the way we must pray so that we overcome the certain opposition to Him bringing the answer. Prov 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a matter (from our natural intelligence**,** so as not to favor the smartest) But the glory of kings (all Christians are spiritual kings in Christ - Rev.1:6) is to search out a matter (with our hearts). Matt 11:25 (Jesus) Father, You have hidden these things from the (humanly) wise NASU and intelligent and have revealed them to (the hearts of spiritual) infants. Why pray at all, won’t God’s will be done anyway? No it won’t. God says that Satan rules this world and that He (God) doesn’t: 1 John 5:19 …The whole world lies under the sway (the influence) of the wicked one. Matt 4:8-9 The devil...showed Jesus all the kingdoms of the world...“All this I will give NIV you" he said "if you will bow down and worship me" (Jesus didn’t disagree). Now Jesus Christ defeated Satan at Calvary and tells us His people, the Church, “I have given into your hand the spiritual land currently occupied by Satan. But the Church, while abiding in Me, is going to have to take that land back and bring it into God’s Kingdom”. Does this command by God sound familiar? It is the identical command that God made previously to His people Israel, under the first Covenant, but this time it is a spiritual land. Num 13:2 (God)...The land of Canaan, which I am giving to the children of Israel... Matt 28:18-19 (Jesus to us) "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations...” Satan acquired his dominion over the world legitimately when Adam and Eve bowed their knee to him and surrendered the dominion God had given them, to him. Therefore our righteous God and Father is constrained now to work through the only legitimate agents He has who have authority on earth in Satan’s kingdom, that is us His true Church. Eph 3:10 To the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, This is why bible teacher and author, Andrew Murray said “God has made the extension of His Kingdom (on earth) dependent on the faithfulness of His people in prayer”. In the Lord’s prayer Jesus lists the essential things we need to pray for each day: For the bread of His word to feed our spirits; For the leading of His Spirit; For deliverance from Satan; For God to forgive our sins as we forgive others; and for God’s kingdom to expand and His will to be done on earth as it is Heaven. By telling us to pray these things, Jesus makes clear that if we don’t pray, these things won’t be done. For God needs our prayers! Matt 6:10 Pray...Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. The parable of the “persistent friend”, the key to Christ’s teaching on how we must pray: Immediately after telling us what we must pray for in the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus recites the parable of the “persistent friend” in which He teaches us the way He wants us to pray. The parable ends with God exhorting us to seek and ask Him in prayer on everything, but only the way this parable teaches; And specifically to ask Him for the Holy Spirit this same way: Luke 11:5-6 And He (Jesus) said to them, which of you (Christians, who love Me and always only do what I say - 1 Jo 2:5) shall have a friend, and go to him at midnight (having first prayed and knowing this to be My will – Eph 5:17) and say to him, 'Friend, lend me three loaves; for a friend of mine has come to me on his journey, and I have nothing to set before him'; (Notice this is not for himself but he seeks bread for another, so it’s intercession. It inconveniences him, its midnight, but he does it anyway). 7 And he will answer from within and say, 'Do not trouble me; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give to you' (But the persistent friend, having prayed God’s will, sticks with it and won’t give up on his intercession). 8-10 I say to you, though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his boldfaced insistence (his importunity, his refusal to be denied) he will rise and give him as many as he needs. So I say to you, ask (in this same way), and it will be given to you; seek (and don’t give up), and you will find; knock (refusing to be denied), and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks (this way) receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 11-13 If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?…How much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those (of His children) who ask Him (in this same way). Let’s not confuse God with the friend who first wouldn't meet the need but afterward did: God is nothing like the reluctant friend. God is simply using this parable to make the crucial point that prayer is likely to encounter some obstacles, of the kind that we will see in a minute, before the answer God has given actually shows up. Of course there will be obstacles, because the prayer is being made while we are still in Satan’s territory and he’s going to try and get the person praying to give up on the prayer. The question is, faced with obstacles, will the person praying persist in believing or not? Mark 11:24 (Jesus) ...Whatever things you ask when you pray believe that you receive them (right now, and don’t give up believing), and you will have them. Some of the possible obstacles a person praying may run into, that can result in doubt: A delay between the prayer and the manifestation of God’s answer. It often takes time for the key people and the circumstances to be brought to a place where the manifestation occurs. Or someone close and influential opposes the prayer or states it is unachievable. Dan 10:12,13 Angel speaking to Daniel, Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come in answer to your prayer. NLT …the spirit prince of the kingdom of Persia (the Devil) blocked my way. While waiting in faith for the manifestation, with circumstances visible to my natural eye not yet in accord with the prayer, dark thought clouds may arise to challenge the prayer. These will be strong thoughts that invade my thought life such as: You are not worthy enough to expect God to answer, this is not the will of God, this prayer is not working, others are not praying this way, you don’t have the faith; all seeking to get me to give up. When obstacles do confront me, at the first sign of a doubt thought I must go to God, who lives in my heart, to re-confirm His will and to strengthen my faith with more of His words. Matt 21:22 All things, whatever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive. Some key things this parable teaches that are not a valid basis for prayer being answered, The request of the friend in need initially met with failure. From this we can conclude that the following things while necessary, when obstacles are encountered, are in and of themselves not a valid basis to expect the manifestation of the answer to our prayer: Relationship - In the parable it is friendship, in Christianity it is sonship. A right relationship with God will not of itself enable me to overcome prayer’s guaranteed obstacles. Need - having a legitimate need doesn’t automatically defeat opposition to prayer. Simply asking or praying - A tentative asking in prayer, meaning it is unsure, a wishing and not believing prayer, will be easily overthrown by Satan. Jesus wants me to know by this parable that if I base my expectation of an answer to prayer on the wrong premise, when the first road block appears, and it will, I will abandon my prayer and give up quite possibly falsely assuming it wasn’t God’s will. And what God wanted me to have or wanted to bring to someone else, through me, now can’t happen. Rm 8:26,27 …the (Holy) Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us (and in us)… ESV …the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 1 Jo 5:14-15 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him. What does Jesus say is the only basis on which to expect an answer to prayer in His will? Importunity, meaning a confident, brazen, shameless insistence that the will of God must be done. A person praying this way clearly will have diligently sought, by God’s word and through God’s Spirit, the knowledge of God’s will on the matter, before praying. But once the heart of that person is locked on the knowledge of God’s will and prays accordingly, they then must absolutely refuse to be denied. Luke 18:1 (Jesus) …Men always ought to pray and not faint, lose heart or give up. Consider the key elements that result in successful prayer: A person made righteous by Christ whose prayer can be heard, the revealed knowledge of God’s will with respect to a specific need, the heart desire to pray and the inspiration for the right prayer, the unwavering faith to believe God for the answer and the answer itself, all come directly from God. This therefore is not me strong arming God to achieve my objectives but it is God using me to achieve His objectives and at the same time deny Satan’s objectives. Jam 5:16 … The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous person avails much - has great power and wonderful results TLB. After telling us here all that prayer can do, and why it’s necessary, God gives an example: Jam 5:17-18 Elijah was a man with a (human) nature like ours and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain... Elijah prayed that it wouldn’t rain. Then he prayed that it would rain. If we look at his second prayer we find that before he prayed God told him that He was going to send rain: I Kings 18:1 ...The word of the LORD came to Elijah...saying, Go, show yourself to Ahab; and I will send rain on the earth (couldn’t happen until Elijah prayed) So, Elijah prayed for something God had already told Him He was going to do; Then God uses this prayer as a blueprint for all prayer. God reveals His will but needs us to pray it into existence. Rm 4:16,17 So the promise (God’s will on a matter received in prayer) is received by faith… (and faith is certain that what God promised, will come to pass and,) calls into existence the things that do not exist. Should a persistent, believing prayer be repeated? No, not if it is in faith, just re-affirmed: When God tells me to ask and keep on asking Him for things, so that His will can be done He means that I should pray with importunity over one need. But before the manifestation of the answer comes, I must also pray with the same importunity over other needs too. Matt 6:7 And when you pray, do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do… The seeming exception to this are prayers prayed with respect to each individual day, such as the Lord’s Prayer. In this we repeatedly ask for the same things, His word, His Spirit, His deliverance, His forgiveness, His will and the expansion of His Kingdom, but they apply to that particular day. Each time it’s with importunity, so this is not repetitious. Jesus says prayers prayed with importunity will always succeed. Because these prayers lock onto God’s will and won’t let go. They overcome every obstacle and hindrance from Satan, for they are prayed in faith, overcoming faith, the faith of Jesus Christ active in the heart of us Christians. How do we get it? By hearing His words and yielding to His spirit: Ro 10:17 Faith comes by hearing...the word of God (we know and believe God’s will) 2 Co 4:13 We have the same Spirit of faith...we believe (what we are led to pray for). “Our praying, however, needs to be pressed and pursued with an energy that never tires, a persistency which will not be denied, and a courage which never fails.” — E. M. Bounds “Beware in your prayers, above everything else, of limiting God, not only by unbelief, but by fancying that you know what He can do. Expect unexpected things ‘above all that we ask or think.’” — Andrew Murray “God does nothing but by prayer, and everything with it.” — John Wesley “All prayer is to God, for men, and against Satan.” — Watchmen Nee
  17. I’m new here, but I had to share my excitement as a Frank Paretti book that I’ve just finished simply blows me away. I didn’t think of the spiritual realm like this before until I read his book. It’s kinda freaking me out as well to know that it so real and exists all around us. I know the bible says that it does, but it wasn’t until I read this book that I really thought about it in this context and the battle that we face. Don't get me wrong, its not scaring me it's just a new way of looking at it for me. Anyway, I just finished the book called This Present Darkness and my friend has lent me Paretti’s other one called Piercing The Darkness. I read the first one in 2 days as I couldn’t put it down. Has anyone else experienced this with Paretti’s books, I find it absolutely amazing and simply can’t get it out of my head? I’m going to start reading Piercing The Darkness tonight… and I can’t wait!
  18. Does anyone believe in the power of miracles? Care to share?
  19. If God has a plan, what good does it do to pray petitioning prayer? Is God going to change His mind?
  20. I think that as Christian's, we too can be "in the spirit" like John in the book of Revelation. It is when you have a lot of faith and in this time a lot of God's revelations (things that will happen) come to us. The book of Revelation has this title because of this - it was revealed to John how things will be. A good way to get a lot of faith is to read your bible for a long period of time maybe an hour on an occasion - you cannot do this all the time but you should daily read your bible for shorter periods. Get an enjoyable version that is fun to encourage you to do this (I like the Message and/or the ESV - English Standard Version): Faith is our link to God so having a link in faith enables Him to reveal things to us through what is like a telephone line that has been setup. Read your favourite bible version and pray to God like you are having a conversation with Him whilst you are having a coffee - who knows, you might end up having a chat, coming closer to someone who loves you more than you could ever know and therefore making Him very happy. Make sure you use wisdom with your faith though so you can discern away mis-leading spirits that may effect the conversation. This is noise and interference on the telephone line. Shalom
  21. What was your walk with God like? Did you have any experience's? Did anything change? Miracles? Testing? Holy spirit?
  22. Eph 6:10-12 (10) Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. (11) Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (12) For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. There will be some more struggles with the enemy. Been a few so far. The corruption, deception, and exploitation is always around. It's a spiritual war we're in, hence the need for spiritual armour. The enemy uses camoflage, undertakes espionage, does sabotage, and holds captives in bondage. We need our spiritual armour. The helmet of salvation for thoughts free of condemnation. The breastplate of righteousness for values not to be compromised. The girdle of truth for integrity to be held secure. The footwear of preparedness to preach the gospel of peace for doctrinal stability. The shield of faith for putting out inflammatory missiles of evil origin. The Sword of the Spirit for doctrine, reproof, correction, instruction in righteousness; to be thoroughly furnished for every good work. The prayer and supplication in the Spirit for guidance and provision. The watching with perseverance in intercession for the health and welfare of the body of Christ. We put our spiritual armour on for spiritual warfare, not as a ritual to feel good about having done, but to engage the enemy that seeks our destruction. The wiles of the enemy are no match for a Christian wearing their spiritual armour...an armour wearing Christian is able to stand against the wiles of the enemy. If the Devil bring it on, Christian better have their armour on.
  23. Hello, everyone! I am new to this forum and just seeking help in a certain area of my life. It's been a trying year, and 1) I guess I am struggling in general with when I ask G*d for guidance/clarity/next steps to be made clear and I don't feel like I get an answer 2) I got majorly scammed by someone I had hired and I have been seeking an answer from G*d as to how I should handle the situation. It has been very frustrating because I feel like I have not gotten an answer from G*d (this happened about 1.5 months ago, and it is somewhat time-sensitive due to bank guidelines and so forth). (details- I basically signed up a business coaching program with this "scammer" person who had been recommended to me by someone I trusted-- the program was WAY overpriced with little substance, not to mention the scammer blew off our calls and removed my access to things I had paid for, that were included with the coaching program.) So far, I have asked for a refund from the scammer (they said no) but I have not officially hired a lawyer or taken other action against them. I am basically out A LOT of money (over $10k that I did not have to begin with, and I am now in quite a bit of debt.) I originally hired this person to help me grow my small business in property management. anyway, would love some advice!
  24. The past couple of weeks since my car engine died I have been struggling with finding a replacement vehicle which I need for work because I'm always driving to a new location. A friend of mine was supposed to have a car ready for me at his shop but it needs more repairs and won't be ready anytime soon then on top of that I purchased a van from a private owner using all the money that I had left and found out afterwards that the transmission is dying. After the bad news me and my wife reached out to a family friend who was willing to take the van and a payment in exchange for a car that he has been trying to sell but getting a hold of him has been near impossible so it seems to me like he is no longer interested in selling us the cars that he has. I know that God is allowing us to go through this for a reason it's just really hard because my wife has been battling depression lately and this has been putting her over the edge I am trying my hardest to stay strong for her and trust in God that he will provide for us at the time that we need, it's just been very difficult with each day passing by and one attempt after the other fails in regards to getting a new vehicle. Should I stop trying to find a car and wait it out or should I continue? I know God wants me to rely on Him, I just don't know if me trying to find a car is relying on myself instead of Him.
