  1. The difference between salvation by faith and works is that, with faith, God does it, but with works, we try to do it ourselves. JWs often give ‘lip service’ to salvation by grace through faith in Christ. In reality, they believe in works for the Watchtower for salvation. They urge readers to ‘come to Jehovah’s organisation for salvation.’ (WT,15 Nov.1981, p.21). Watchtower magazine of 15 Aug 1972, p.491 asks JWs to ‘work hard for the reward of eternal life.’ Eternal life is a gift (Romans 6:23), never a reward to be earned. JWs cannot know for sure if they have salvation during this life. The WT tells JWs that if they fail to serve God ‘properly’ in the millennium, they will be annihilated. They believe that eternal life becomes theirs, only by serving God till the end of the 1000 years. JWs believe that Jesus’ death only wiped out the sin inherited from Adam. They claim that Christ’s atonement allows men to work their way to salvation. They claim that the ‘gift’ of Christ’s ransom sacrifice is free to all, only to give us a chance to work for our salvation. JWs claim that being born again is only for the 144,000 anointed class. JWs claim the ‘other sheep’ don’t need to be born again, but hope to live forever on paradise earth. JWs falsely claim six steps to being born again: i) Take in accurate knowledge of God. This is a mistranslation of John 17:3 where they change ‘that they may know (verb) thee (KJV)’ to ‘their taking in knowledge (noun) of you’. The unbeliever may have knowledge about God, but only the saved person knows God personally. Jesus will say to unbelievers ‘I never knew you: depart from me.’Matt7:23 ii) Exercise faith, which they define as belief plus works. (See Eph.2:9 ‘not of works lest.’). iii) Repentance from bad works. iv) Conversion, which they define as doing works fitting repentance. v) Dedication to Jehovah, which they define as dedication to the Watchtower Organisation. vi) Baptism, as an outward sign of their dedication (Watchtower, Feb 1, 1982, p.25-29) For a JW, the above does not ever guarantee them to be born again; it just puts them in line. They think that only 144,000 are born again. Since the 144,000 places were supposedly filled in 1935, most JWs believe they can never be born again. JWs believe that three classes of people will be saved by good works: a) The 144,000 to heaven; b) The ‘other sheep’ to earth; and c) Non-JWs who have lived good enough lives to earn salvation. The Pharisees (like the JWs) believed in study and obedience to the Law, but Jesus said that was not enough. They had to come to Jesus as the giver of eternal life. Only by the indwelling Christ can believers do good works. JWs live in fear of dying at Armageddon. JWs twist five main Scriptures regarding salvation: 1. John 3:3,5,7 - Being Born again ‘Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, Verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God. Ye must be born again.’ (John 3:3,7) Watchtower Teaching: JWs do not believe that they must be born again. If you ask a JW if he has been born again, he will say: ‘That doesn’t apply to me. It’s only for the 144,000 anointed ones. I belong to the “great crowd” who will live on the earth under Kingdom rule.’ The WT organisation has taught them that: ‘The ‘other sheep’ do not need any such rebirth, for their goal is life everlasting in the restored earthly paradise.’ (WT, 15 Feb 1986, p.14). Our Biblical Response: Question 1: When Jesus said, ‘Unless anyone is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God.’ (John 3:3 NWT), did He allow for any exceptions? (No!). Question 2: In I John 5:1 (NWT) ‘Everyone believing that Jesus is the Christ has been born from God’, does the expression ‘everyone believing’ leave any believer out? (No) Question 3: In Galatians 4:5,6 (NWT) didn’t Christ come so ‘that we . . . might receive the adoption as sons. Now because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, and it cries out “Abba, Father”.?’ Ask: Have you been adopted as a son of God, by receiving the Spirit of Christ into your heart, as shown here? (No) Question 4: In Romans 8:9 ‘Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.’ Remind the JW that he has admitted that he has not received Christ’s Spirit to dwell in his heart by being born again. In the light of Romans 8:8,9 can you reach any other conclusion than that you cannot please God (v.8) and that you do not belong to Christ? Re-read Romans 8:8,9,14-16. Bible Teaching: Scripture is clear that the opportunity to become born again is not limited to 144,000 people in the so-called anointed class, but is open to all who believe in Jesus Christ as follows. a) I John 5:1 - ‘Whosoever (everyone) believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God.’ There are no exceptions. Anybody and everybody who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born again. b) John 3:16 ‘that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.’ c) I John 4:7 - ‘everyone that loveth is born of God.’ Key: Notice here that God never mentions that the number to be born again is restricted to 144,000 but is unlimited to ‘whosoever believeth’. Note: Jesus did not need to be born again because He never sinned (Hebrews 5:15). Only sinners being dead spiritually need to be born again. ‘Ye’ in John 3:7 means ‘everybody’ plural. Being born again of the Spirit means that we who were born physically with a dead spirit inherited from Adam, experience a spiritual rebirth by the Holy Spirit giving us new spiritual life. Everyone must be born again. Paul did not divide believers into two classes, but said: a) ‘Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness which the Lord, the righteous judge shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto ALL them also that love his appearing.’ (II Timothy 4:8) b) The new birth is not limited to 144,000, but is available to ‘any man’: ‘If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature . . .’ (II Corinthians 5:17) c) Never do we read of a limited number being placed on those who are born again. ‘Being born again, not of corruptible seed but of incorruptible, by the word of God.’I Peter 1:23 ‘everyone that doeth righteousness is born of him.’ (I John 2:29) ‘whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God ...’ (I John 5:1) Question: What about you? Have you been born again? You must be born again! 2. Present tense salvation: Matthew 24:13 ‘But he that shall endure unto the end (of the 7 year Tribulation), the same shall be saved (from the Antichrist’s persecutions).’ The Watchtower Society has convinced JWs that they are unsaved and that they cannot be saved in this present life. They do not believe that they will have to answer for their sins. The JW book ‘Make Sure of all Things’ on page 332 states: ‘Salvation to life involves time and is not completed when one becomes a Christian.’ They believe that nobody can be sure of salvation until they have continued their good works up to the end of the 1000 years. Their idea is completely false as seen from these scriptures, showing that we now possess a present tense salvation: 1) I John 5:12 ‘He that has the Son, has life.’ 2) I John 5:13 ‘that ye may know that ye have eternal life’. 3) John 3:36 ‘He that believeth on the Son has everlasting life.’ 4) I John 3:2 ‘Beloved, now are we the sons of God . . .’ 5) I Corinthians 1:18 ‘but unto us which are saved . . .’ 6) II Corinthians 2:15 ‘in them that are saved . . .’ 7) Ephesians 2:5,8 ‘by grace ye are saved;’ 8) I Thessalonians 1:10 ‘ Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come.’ 9) II Timothy 1:9 ‘Who has saved us . . .’ 10) Titus 3:5 ‘according to his mercy he saved us.’ 11) I John 2:12 ‘I write unto you because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake.’ 12) Romans 8:16 ‘The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit that we are the children of God.’ Think: If all the people converted in the apostles’ time up to 100 AD were totalled, they would have taken up the 144,000 places even before the JWs came on the scene! reprinted with permission from Pastor Keith Piper. https://www.libertybaptistchurch.org.au/
  2. Keys to everlasting life!!! This IS the truth of salvation and is absolutely worth 17-min of your time! Jesus revealed this revelation progressively. For a long time I had to preach and live by faith, not fully understanding why this doctrine of fully surrendering to Jesus was not works-righteousness based and left room for grace by faith. Now I understand it's because the humble will live this way. The humble will realize they cannot do anything without Jesus Christ, like Jesus said. The humble will lay down their lives, pick up their cross, and follow Jesus to life, daily! As the Bible makes clear: God resists the proud, and to the HUMBLE God gives GRACE! And is it not by grace that we are saved?! It is. So humility is absolutely key to salvation. Humility is what is good and right in the sight of God. Humility is what leads to the kind of life that allow the work to get HIS eternal work done through us. Humility is everything, for without it we become enemies of God, and God WILL resist us, and I cannot imagine any of those that God has resisted entering in to Heaven on the day of judgement. I guess time will tell. But to me, the scriptures make it crystal clear, and I am going to pursue this race home to God with the most zeal and to the highest degree possible for me to run. I am not playing around or risking my eternal soul. Humility is the path I will choose, by the grace of God, by humbling myself in brokenness of spirit, in poverty of spirit, in front of Him and seeking HIS way home, as HE leads me!!! God is awesome, wonderful, and amazing! At the end of the day, there is nothing better than God's plan for out lives. His will is perfect; He is all-loving, all-knowing, and all-powerful, truly we should be jumping at the chance to surrender our lives to a God such as this, and I ABSOLUTELY AM! God has proven His goodness to me time and time again! There is no other way to TRULY live and get the most out of this life than to give it ALL over to Him! So to those who choose to do their best to take their every word and action from God, I think that is wonderful! Let us continually humble ourselves in front of Him, and follow His way home! It's going to be a marvelous journey to say the least! God bless you all, in Jesus' mighty name! -Daniel James 4:6 (NIV): But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble." James 4:6 (KJV): But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. John 14:6: Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. Matthew 7:21: “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Acts 4:12: Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. Romans 10:9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Titus 3:5: he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-eg4L5L4S8
  3. Psalm 141:2 - "May my prayer be counted as incense before Thee; the lifting up of my hands as the evening offering." Revelation 8:4 - "And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel's hand." Therefore, if we are to be His dwelling place, prayer should be our highest priority.Place the altar of incense represented prayer and intercession. The Lord said that His house was to be "a house of prayer for all nations" (Isaiah 56:7) How can we dwell continually in the presence of the Lord to perform the divine service? Exodus 30:7,8 - "And Aaron shall burn fragrant incense on it; he shall burn it every morning when he trims the lamps. And when Aaron trims the lamps at twilight, he shall burn incense. There shall be perpetual incense before the Lord throughout your generations." Aaron was to light the incense as his first duty each morning, and as the last thing he did at night, but there would be "perpetual incense before the Lord." The Lord does not just want us to talk to Him a couple of times a day; He wants us to abide in Him. If we really are His temple, and His Spirit abides in us, how is it that we ignore Him so much? The Lord wants to have fellowship with us in everything we do. The truth is that if the eyes of our hearts were opened we would see Him in all that we do, and the reality of His presence would actually be greater that which we are seeing with our physical eyes. Instead of "thinking to ourselves," He wants us to be conversing with Him. If we take the time to properly light this fire the first thing in the morning, and then as the last thing we do at night, soon we will find ourselves raising perpetual prayer as incense before the Lord, coming from our hearts. Affirmations: I AM ABLE TO STAY IN A PERPETUAL ATTITUDE OF PRAYER SINCE I BEGIN AND END MY DAY WITH PRAYER. THROUGH PRAYER I KNOW HIS PRESENCE CONTINUALLY. I AM CALLED TO BE HIS DWELLING PLACE. 1 Corinthians 1:5 - "That in every thing you are enriched by Him, in all utterance, and in all knowledge." Every time we confess God's word Jesus' enrichment ministry adds another grain of faith, another bit of anointing, to our faith and to our words. "That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him," - Ephesians 1:17 Ask the Lord for revelation. Ask the Lord for the building plan for your future. Ask the Lord for keys. Just as Peter connected with the Father in Heaven, connect with the Father in a way that you begin to unlock the Kingdom of God within you. Let the Lord change your water into new wine (John Chapter 2). He used the pots of religious ritualism to fill them with new wine. Ask the Lord to remove the spirit of religion from you. Let His glory begin to shine. Be willing to let go of any old method that is operating in your life. Notice the teaching after the wineskin. The lady who had an issue of blood for 12 years pressed through and touched Jesus. Jesus was on His way to awaken the 12-year-old daughter of Jairus. Declare that now is the time to press through into the new, even in your weakness. Declare that what needs to wake up will wake up now. There is a time when the old season ends. Allow the old to end and the new to begin. "Arise my darling, my beautiful one, and come along. For behold, the winter is past, The rain is over and gone. The flowers have already appeared in the land; the time has arrived for pruning the vines." - Song Of Solomon 2:10-12 ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  4. Genesis 3:1 - "Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?" When we succumb to guilt and shame, we give in to the single oldest temptation in the Bible - the temptation to question our identity and God's identity. The very first temptation in the Bible was not to partake of forbidden fruit, but to question what God had said. The serpent said, "Has God indeed said, ' You shall not eat of every tree of the garden?" Once he got them to doubt God's integrity and identity, it was easy to lure them into foolish actions. In the same way, before the devil tempted Jesus with anything else, he tried to pry Him away from His identity: "If You are the Son of God...." (Matthew 4:6). He wanted Jesus to doubt His identity. So what is the devil's strategy with us today? Affirmations: I AM A NEW CREATURE IN CHRIST. I AM THE RIGHTEOUS OF GOD IN CHRIST JESUS. I HAVE THE MIND OF CHRIST. I HAVE BEEN GIVEN THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION. I AM AN AMBASSADOR FOR CHRIST. I AM IN CHRIST JESUS. Romans 5:3,4 - "And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope." Jesus did not come to deliver us from our problems, but from ourselves. He did not come to change our circumstances - He came to change us. "Others mocking said, 'these men are full of new wine.'" - Acts 2:13 "New wine" - a new order, new inspiration, new manifestation, a new creation. It is God's mind to fill us with that wine, to make us ready to burst forth with new rivers, fresh energy, no tired feeling. What shall we do? Believe -- stretch out -- press on -- let there be a new entering in -- a new passion to have it. We must drink deeply of the new wine, that multitudes may be satisfied and find satisfaction too. 5. It's Holy Week. Soon it shall be Easter. And as many know there has of late been a concentrated effort to defame the faith of one of the most staunch defenders of the Christian faith in media. Hank Hanegraaff, known world wide as, "The Bible Answer Man", and president of the Christian Research Institute. An article posing all manner of speculation asking if Hank Hanegraaff has left the Christian faith appeared on the Net the day after Palm Sunday. And since then it has gleaned great attention due to Mr.Hanegraaff's public persona as a man who's ministry has delivered the good news for over 30 years. Having assumed the presidency from the CRI founder, Walter Martin. Who started CRI in 1960. Even Hank Hanegraaff's relationship with Walter Martin has been assailed. As has his faith when opponents , the jealous in my opinion, have attacked Hank for over 30 years with all manner of weapons in the form of false claims, slander, and defamation. The latest however arrives at an all time low. Because the claim that Hank Hanegraaff left the faith has come to his attention, as well as his staff at CRI. And now his friends are concerned with the amount of gossip on the Net. As is his family. I tuned into Hank's broadcast that is available here at WCF on The Truth Network link on our homepage. His show, The Bible Answer Man, begins at 6 P.M U.S. EST= Eastern Standard Time. Below is that opening address to that which persists as false witness against Hank and his leaving the faith. It is posted here in hopes that bots and spiders that roam and capture words for search engines will find this article, gleaned from Hanks CRI homepage, so as to assist in answering back his detractors. Sadly among them are those who claim the name of Christ. And that causes its own curiosity. When did the Christian lose their grace and violate the scriptures concerning false witness? When did the Christian become one with the world of gossip, slander, and defamation? Going so far as to publish an article that makes claims, has no facts, and yet proceeds to ask and then accuse at the same time, did Hank Hanegraaff leave the Christian faith? And why and especially during Holy Week would any Christian hope to smear the good name of a man dedicated to God and Christ? When that man for these last four days of Holy Week has publicly on his broadcast addressed this defamation and slander against his dedication to his Lord. The detractors persisting. Insisting, he is a liar. He has left the faith. He is not Christian. Below is the article Hank posted at CRI today. I hope the Christians here receive this thread as intended. To defend a brother in Christ against the slings and arrows of the enemy. If the slander persists after the man targeted testifies to his commitment to Christ, the faith that should then come into question is not that of the dedicated Christian man Hank Hanegraaff. To God be the glory forever and ever. Amen. Exodus 20:16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. Matthew 12:36 I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, Have I “Left the Christian Faith”? April 13, 2017 | By: Hank Hanegraaff Through Christian Research Institute staff and friends, I’ve become aware of chatter on the Internet—the gist of which is that I’ve walked away from the Christian faith. Amid Holy Week I pray that those forwarding this notion may have an ever-deeper encounter with our crucified and resurrected Lord. May they and their loved ones be blessed and their faith strengthened. If I have caused any to stumble, I humbly ask forgiveness. My purpose in this post is not so much to respond but to reassure. As I have never been more in love with my wife and family, so, too, I have never been more in love with the Lord Jesus and His body the church. As such, I confess my faith in the deity of Jesus Christ — “the only-begotten Son of God, begotten of the Father before all ages; Light of Light, true God of true God, begotten not created, of one essence with the Father, through whom all things were made.” I affirm the doctrine of original sin — “sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned” (Romans 5:12). I am deeply committed to “the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth” (1 Timothy 3:15) and to the Holy Scriptures, the only infallible repository of redemptive revelation (2 Timothy 3:15–16). I love the Holy Trinity — one God revealed in three Persons eternally distinct. And am deeply grateful that the true and living God invites us to participate in the loving relationships that Father, Son, and Holy Spirit have enjoyed throughout eternity. I hold to the glorious reality that Jesus “rose on the third day, according to the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.” I am grateful to the Lord Jesus “who for us and for our salvation came down from heaven and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became man.” I thank God daily that I am a new creation in Christ. For by grace I have been saved through faith, and that not of myself; it is the gift of God, not of works lest I should boast. “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them” (see Ephesians 2:8–10). “I look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the age to come.” While there are many secondary issues genuine believers will continue to debate this side of eternity, I have and will always champion what C.S. Lewis called mere Christianity. “In essentials unity, non-essentials liberty, and in all things charity.” Hank Hanegraaff Holy Week 2017 - FYODOR DOSTOYEVSKY
  6. I was once a Oneness Pentecostal (Apostolic), way way back in the later 1980s, I left and became a Trinitarian after I had written a tract for them, promoting the Oneness view of Water Baptism and offering £1,000 if anyone could disprove the Oneness claim that you must be baptised with the formula: Lord Christ Christ in order to be saved. I live in the south-west of the UK (Plymouth) and no longer attend any fellowship, as that would be too painful to me, but I see the main Oneness claims (i.e. that Jesus is God the Father, and that the baptismal formula is Lord Jesus Christ), taking over so many individual believers in local fellowships, which nominally are Trinitarian, but within which elders and other leaders teach exactly as they choose, which is often anti-Trinitarian! The church situation here in the UK is so bad as to be dire beyond belief, you can't even sit down and discuss the Bible with religious people, they switch off the moment you try to discuss scripture. GOD TV has had a big part to play in this.
  7. My previous post (which was longer and more detailed) didn't seem to work for whatever reason so I'm just gonna cut right into the chase with this abridged version. I think my family is going to be left behind in the rapture. My parents believe in God, they claim to be Christian, and were once dedicated servants to the Lord, but now they live a more sinful lifestyle of smoking, cursing, etc. My mom does drive my brother, sister and I to church on most Sundays and Wednesdays, but none of them go themselves. My brother and sister read the Bible and pray two to three times a day, but they do not dedicate their lives to the Lord as much as I try to. I've been praying to the Lord asking for help on this, but nothing seems to be happening. I'm a very introverted person and I stutter frequently whenever I talk about very serious matters with my parents. I just keep going through my mind, thinking about how awkward the situation would be, and how much I'll likely mess up while telling them what they need to do. I keep reading articles about how the Rapture can happen at any moment, and that just fuels my stress more. I'm very confident that, if I don't tell my family members before I run out of time, they will be left behind and they will suffer. This has completely ruined my image of what the Rapture would look like. The Rapture is always described as what should be the most happy point in a Christian's life. Getting to meet up with Jesus Christ himself, in the air, and be taken to live eternally in Heaven, when I think about this, it honestly sounds great, but then I remember that my family likely won't be there in the sky with me. I keep including the same phrase in my prayers every night, telling and asking the Lord to keep me focus on informing my parents about how their lives are on a train track, and the Rapture is the train. I want to enjoy the coming of Christ, and I want my family to enjoy it with me.
  8. Universalism is the belief that every man will be reconciled with God eventually - that people don't go to hell (permanently, at least). I myself am not a universalist, though with reading the Bible, I am finding more support for it (or possible something that just seems to support the doctrine). So, I'm not making this thread so that I can debate others, but so others can give me their reasoning for being universalist or for not being universalist. So, do you believe in universalism? Why/why not? This thread is to help me understand more about universalism. I personally will not be debating, though others are free to debate, and I may ask a few questions from time to time. God bless!
  9. Numbers 13:28,30 - "Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak (giants) there. And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it." MANY BELIEVERS, LIKE THE ISRAELITES, ARE WANDERING AROUND IN A WILDERNESS OF DEFEAT BECAUSE THERE'S AN ENEMY IN THE PROMISED LAND. THEY'RE BEING ROBBED OF THEIR RIGHTFUL INHERITANCE BECAUSE THEY'RE AFRAID TO FIGHT HIM. Affirmations: I AM NO LONGER GOING TO SIT IN THE WILDERNESS WHERE THE DEVIL STEALS THE BLESSINGS OF GOD OUT FROM UNDER ME. I HAVE GOD'S PERMISSION AND HIS POWER AND HIS ABILITY TO TAKE THE LAND. I GET VIOLENT ENOUGH TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT ......TODAY! Matthew 11:12 - "From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and violent take it by force." Hebrews 1:14 - "Are they (angels) not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?" AS AN AMBASSADOR, THE MILITARY OF THE KINGDOM I REPRESENT IS AT MY DISPOSAL TO HELP ME CARRY OUT THE KING'S ORDERS. IF AS A REPRESENTATIVE OF A NATION MY LIFE IS THREATENED, ALL OF MY GOVERNMENT'S MILITARY MIGHT IS PREPARED TO DO WHAT-EVER NECESSARY TO PROTECT AND DELIVER ME. SO IT IS WITH THE HEAVEN'S ANGELIC HOST. THEY RENDER SERVICE FOR THOSE WHO WOULD INHERIT SALVATION. "But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by His grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the heathen..." - Galatians 1:15,16 Before we were ever born He purposed in His heart to do mighty things in us. Are you going to refuse it, or are you gong to yield? 1. If you yield, He will put in you a living faith, and you cannot get away from the power of it. 2. How amazing it is that we can be so transformed that the thoughts of Christ will be first in our minds. 3. How blessed that when everybody around you is interested in everything else, you are thinking about Jesus Christ. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  10. Ephesians 2:5,6,10 - "Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace we are saved;) And hath raised us together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God has before ordained that we should walk in them." As a believer I shouldn't have to "try" faith. I exercise my rights as a member of the body of Christ. He has raised me up with Jesus and seated me in heavenly places. He has given me His name, His blood, His authority, His power, His spirit. These rights are blood bought. Jesus suffered and died to give me the rights of our new covenant. 2 Corinthians 6:1,2 - "We then, as workers together with Him, beseech you also that you receive not the grace of God in vain. Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. " Acts 16:25,26 - "And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a greatearthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone's bands were loosed." OBSERVATION: MY LIVING BY FAITH MOVES HIM TO HONOR MY FAITH; HOWEVER, WHEN I PLEASE HIM THROUGH MY PRAISE, HE VISITS ME IN PERSON. GOD'S FAITHFULNESS IS TRIGGERED BY MY FAITH, WHILE PRAISE BRINGS ME INTO HIS PRESENCE. WHEN I PRAISE GOD, HE RAISES ME OUT OF MY SITUATION. WHEN I FIND MYSELF IN TROUBLE, I USE PRAISE AS A KEY TO UNLOCK THE "PRISON DOORS" OF MY CIRCUMSTANCES. NO MATTER WHAT IS GOING ON IN MY LIFE, I WILL FILL MY MOUTH WITH THE HIGH PRAISES OF GOD! "Now you belong to Him who was raised from the dead in order that we might be useful in the service of God." - Romans 7:4 Shall we stop short of what He says we ought to be (our CALLING in Christ)-- shall we cease to come into line with the Mind which is always thinking of our best - shall we cease to humble ourselves before Him who took the way of the cross for us -- shall we cease to give him our all? "We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." - Ephesians 2:10 NIV To what profit will it be if we hold back anything from Him who gives us a thousand times more than He ever asks from us? In Hebrews 2 He says He is going to bring many sons to glory. It means that He is going to clothe them with His glory -- may that be our vision. AFFIRMATIONS: I have a Jesus indwelling me and vitalizing me with a faith that believes His word will come to pass when I speak it. I have Jesus within me who will never let me get faint-hearted or weary in advancing His PURPOSE for my life. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  11. Gospel is given to all What is gospel? What is the true gospel? What is the true way to accept the gospel? What is the result from Gospel? Is church need gospel or some others? Many questions are raising in new ministers and new believers in hearts People are ignoring the facts in the gospel and facts of the gospel Let us start some detailed discuss in this matter.............
  12. When Jesus declared on the Cross, "It is finished," He decreed to the earth and the world of darkness that they had lost. When Jesus arose from the grave, He fulfilled the legal requirements of the law and broke the curse of sin off the earth! Jesus secured everything for the Believer from the Cross of Calvary and the Resurrection from the grave, and satan knows he is powerless to stop God's Kingdom plan. BECAUSE OF OUR RESURRECTED SAVIOR, WE WIN! Colossians 2:12-15 (NKJV) - " ...[You were] buried with Him in baptism, in which you also were raised with Him through faith in the working of God, who raised Him from the dead. And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us." Jesus' followers can see how the Cross had become the intersection of Heaven and earth. The supernatural traffic between Heaven and earth can flow freely through this intersection, and the supernatural life is available to us NOW: 1) Exchanging Punishment for Peace - Isa. 53:5 2) Exchanging Sickness for Healing - Isa. 53:4-5 3) Exchanging Sin for Righteousness - Isa. 53:10, 2 Cor. 5:21 4) Exchanging Curse for Blessing - Deut. 28:15-68 for Deut. 28:1-14 5) Exchanging Poverty for Wealth - 2 Cor. 8:9 6) Exchanging Threefold Death for Threefold Life - Heb. 2:9 He tasted death in three successive phases: (1) He was cut off from union and fellowship with the Father; (2) He was cut off from physical life; and (3) He was banished from God's presence like a scapegoat, carrying sin away. He was crucified and buried; He descended into Hades and rose again so that our redemption could be complete. In exchange, the gift of life to every Believer is: (1) union and fellowship with God; and (2) resurrection and eternal life in God's glorious presence. 7) Exchanging the Old Man for the New - Rom. 6:6; 8:10; Col. 2:11; Gal. 5:17-24 As we understand that our spirit is "quickened" by His Spirit we must – as God's design for Kingdom citizens – take dominion and multiply God's Kingdom on this earth as it is in Heaven! That is indeed the Believer's resurrection authority. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  13. Luke 1:35 - The angel answered, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the Holy One to be born will be called the Son of God." We need to ask Him for a release of devine hunger that will drive us deeper into Him. Like Mary, it is simply through intimacy, engaging the realm of heaven, and declaring what we see and hear that brings heaven to earth. As Mary received Christ into her physical Body, we have received Jesus into our spirits. As she birthed Christ, our quest is to see Jesus unfettered from the womb of our religion about Him. Our destiny is not just to carry Christ inside but to reveal the fullness of His glory in this world. Mark 16:15 - He said to them, "Go to the whole world and preach the gospel to all mankind." Hebrews 11:6 - "But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him." One of the most crucial areas in which believers fall short in is pressing into God. Many pray briefly about decisions, then merely do what seems like common sense, not acquiring the mind of the Lord at all. But God must be sought. The temptation, when we first pray about something is to lose heart, or give up. But God will speak clearly to us if we press into Him. Often it is necessary to pray until you feel (and know) your spirit is breaking through. Affirmations: I CONFESS THAT I LIVE "IN" FAITH. I WILL NEVER RELINQUISH THE DREAM HE HAS PUT IN MY HEART. I WILL STAY IN THIS PLACE; I WILL USE MY FAITH; I WILL BE STEADFAST, UNWAVERING, AND COMMITTED TO SEEING HIS PROMISES COME TO PASS IN MY LIFE. BECAUSE I HAVE MADE THIS DECISION, I AM A PERSON WHO PLEASES GOD. Song of Solomon 3:2 - "I will rise now and go about the streets of the city. In the highways I will seek him whom I love. I sought him but did not find him." SINCE YOU NO LONGER FIND YOUR BELOVED (JESUS) IN YOUR RESTING PLACE, YOU ARE PERSUADED TO LOOK FOR HIM. THE CITY, WHICH IS THE WORLD, WILL BE WHERE YOU NOW LOOK FOR HIM. AS YOU LOOK IN VAIN YOU MAY BECOME OCCUPIED WITH THE WORLD WHILE YOU USE THE EXCUSE THAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR YOUR BELOVED. YOU DO NOT FIND HIM BECAUSE HE WISHES YOU TO SEEK HIM IN HIMSELF. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  14. Matthew 7:14 - "The way is narrow that leads to life, and few are those who find it." Observation: I HEED CAREFULLY THE WARNING OF JESUS SINCE I REALIZE THAT THE VOICE OF THE MAJORITY, BEING AFRAID OF BOTH THE BATTLE AND THE COST, WILL BE A VOICE OF DISCOURAGEMENT TO ME SINCE I AM SERIOUS ABOUT FULFILLING THE PROMISES OF GOD. Ephesians 6:16,17 - "Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God". Some are willing to spend hours in prayer asking for a miracle instead of planting the Word of God in their hearts, which in time would produce the miracle. Prayer is what water and fertilizer are to a seed. They help the Word release its life. But if you haven't planted the seed, it doesn't matter how much water and fertilizer you apply, the soil still won't produce fruit. It's the seed that has life! Affirmations: I CONFESS THAT I WEAR MY SALVATION TIGHTLY AROUND MY MIND LIKE A HELMET. IT DOESN'T MATTER HOW HARD THE DEVIL TRIES TO HACK AWAY AT MY MIND, I STILL STAND STRONG BECAUSE I KNOW WHAT JESUS' DEATH AND RESURRECTION PURCHASED FOR ME! Song of Solomon 1:1 - "Let Him kiss me with the kisses of His mouth." Observation: GOD UNITES HIMSELF WITH MY SPIRIT, AND I AM ABLE TO BEGIN TO EXPLORE THE FULLNESS OF GOD. THE JOURNEY TOWARD THIS COMPLETE UNION IS A PLACE WHERE MY SPIRIT IS COMPLETELY POSSESSED BY GOD. CONSIDER THAT JESUS IS CALLED "THE WORD." THE "KISSES OF HIS MOUTH" IS NOTHING LESS THAN THE VITAL COMMUNICATION OF THE WORD OF GOD TO ME. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  15. Hi there, I just accepted Jesus Christ into my life to be my saviour. It is currently 9pm, and my Dad is watching TV and my Mum is asleep. How should I tell them of this news? Should I wait tomorrow, or should I approach my Dad now and tell Mum tomorrow?
  16. According to the New Testament of the Scriptures. How can one enter into the Kingdom of God.?
  17. John 4:23-24 "But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth." (It is our destiny to worship God in the spirit.) Galatians 5:25 "If we live in the spirit, let us also walk in the spirit." Ephesians 4:23-24 "And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; and that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness." (Put on the spirit man – you have to put it on – a decision.) Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law." (Fruit of the spirit.) Romans 8:4-5 "That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit, the things of the Spirit." (Since I put on the spirit, I chose not to walk after the flesh or senses.) 1 Corinthians 2:13,15 "And we are setting these truths forth in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Holy Spirit, combining and interpreting spiritual truths with spiritual language to those who possess the Holy Spirit. But the spiritual man tries all things, he examines, investigates, inquires into, questions, and discerns all things, yet is himself to be put on trial and judged by no one, he can read the meaning of everything, but no one can properly discern or appraise or get an insight into him." (We are to judge whether a thing is spiritual or of the senses – things coming at us everyday.) John 7:24 - "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." (What am I participating in? Is it spiritual or not?) ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  18. I was struggling with my faith. I was caught in a wedge between choosing what I wanted to do instead of what God wanted for me. In the end I ended up leaving my residence and left on a bus on my own accord to go where I wanted. But halfway into the trip I felt nothing but pure spiritual agony. I had turned my back on God. I knew that what I was doing was gravely wrong. I was looking at verses such as Romans 1:28 where it talks about people being turned over to reprobate minds. How God gives them just what they want and turn them over to eternal damnation. The thought of all this almost made me puke. I felt sick to the point of faint at the though of being stamped unworthy and useless. I walked out on God.. This whole thing about being a reprobate terrified me. I'm turning back now and am on my way to make things right and totally surrender my life to Christ for good. I don't care what happens to me anymore or what others will think of me. I fear God more than man now. As long as I have Him, I don't ever want to turn back. Am I marked? Is it too late? Am I like Esau who gave up his inheritance for a plate of food, only to seek it back in tears and unable to receive it again? I read that a rebrobate mind is devoid of all sound judgment and left to do things that are unseemly. I don't feel I've quite reached this mindset yet.. not after this scare.. I greatly appreciate any input, many thanks and blessings
  19. Hello everyone, Im Chris and I'm currently 22 going on 23. Im in terrible need of advice as I fear I may be making a huge mistake soon, but first I want to tell you about me. I grew up in a Christian home for the most part, but I turned out to be your average rebellious teenager. I hated school, I didn't have many friends, and I was a black sheep to my family. I felt alone and angry at myself and my family, all of which prompted me to leave home and travel to another state on my own, I was 19 when I left. During my journey, I ended up homeless on the streets until a charity group led me to a Gospel Rescue mission where I came to know that Christ saves through faith and not of works. At the time, I felt a deeper understanding and connection with God, something I had never felt before. Also at the time, I made going into the U.S Navy one of my priorities. It was my dream and felt that if I could join, I could finally make my family proud of me and finally make something of myself instead of a homeless bum. After I came to know Christ, I began a new journey first through a bible program they offered. I made new friends in Christ and began to come out of my shell, I was learning new things almost everyday and I was actually happy for the first time in years! In the process I even was reconciled with my family who were actually worried about me. Even so, I kept a narrow vision and pursued the Navy. After graduation, I enrolled in college, did some job traning, and so on in preparation for enlistment. With some setbacks here and there, this process would go on to take over 3 years. And now, I have hit a wall that has prevented me from joining. Because of some medical issues, they made enlisting challenging to the point where I finally gave up on joining. This was in no way God's fault, nothing is, but it was all mine for not applying myself properly as well as my lax and nonchalant nature. I feel devastated. I feel like I've failed. My dream was now broken. I went to my pastor and told him everything. He told me to sit still and wait on the Lord, that all this time I've been seeking my own will instead of His. I agreed and began to earnestly seek the Lord. But I began to lament to the fact that I was still upset about not joining the Navy. I'm not content. My other brothers have told me to simply get a job and work to get an apartment. But this still doesn't suffice. Ive looked back on my life now and seen that I've produced very little, if any, fruit throughout the years compared to others who have gone off to start successful careers and such. I'm not as ignorant as I used to be and do feel that the Lord has used me to lead others to Christ at times, as well as used my testimony about coming off the streets. But I now see that I'm struggling with my faith. I look to my friends who are avid preachers of Christ and smile even through their problems in life. They have joy, something I just no longer have. And it is these things that make me wonder: Did I truly make Christ my personal Savior that day? Is He really the Boss of my life? Was I willing to pick up my cross and follow Him? Am I really His child? I do believe that all things work together for good to them that love Him, that for by grace are you saved through faith and not of yourselves, so no man can boast. Maybe God has used this situation to chastise and discipline me into being more obedient to Him and not to my own will. As the Word of God states "For whom the Lord loveth He chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom He receives". If this is scourging then I most certainly am feeling it. But due to my present circumstances, I feel my faith shaking, even after hours of earnest prayer for His will in my life. I can't shake this feeling for the pride of life. I can't shake this feeling of wanting to run off somewhere and starting all over again. I can't shake this voice telling me that He doesn't even know me and that I'm not His, that I'm not even truly born again. I'm so afraid of not being truly saved, and I'm too afraid to really tell the others of what I'm going through, despite their well meaning and prayers. I want to serve God, and I want Him to use me for His Glory. But this whole mess has paralyzed me to the point of hopelessness and depression. I just have no direction in life and I can't effectively share the Gospel in joy. I don't expect an answer that will end all my problems, but I would greatly appreciate anyone's input on this. Thank you very much in advance for your answers.
  20. "If you be willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land." - Isaiah 1:19 This opportunity is given to all who are saved, but not everyone is willing to adjust to a "diet" that is conducive to spiritual growth. Therefore, Jesus said, "For many are called, but few are chosen" (Matthew 22:14). In other words, "Few will pay the price in order to be chosen." This process of qualifying begins after we have received the gift of salvation, which has been freely provided for us by Jesus upon Calvary's Cross. The outworking of this gift of salvation requires us to acknowledge that we will face problems and difficulties in our life experience, and of greater consequence, that we will view them rightly. Only then will we be able to appropriately respond to the Lord in the midst of them. We will mature spiritually as we are discipled into who we are in Christ, our "right standing with God" and how to "walk in the Spirit." "Come, My beloved, let us go forth into the field; let us lodge in the villages. Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish, whether the tender grape appear, and the pomegranates bud forth: there will I give you My loves." - Song of Solomon 7:11-12 There are levels in our spiritual growth, and in our identification with the Lord in the outworking of His PURPOSE for our life. For this process to be accomplished, we must develop a sensitivity to the Lord's presence, that we might rightly respond to Him as He seeks to guide us toward spiritual maturity. Thank you so much for loving me enough to send Jesus, your only Son, to die on the cross for my sins. It should have been me hanging there, but He took my place so that I could be freely forgiven. Please forgive all my sins, Father. I do not want to live for myself anymore. For the rest of my days I want to live for the Lord Jesus Christ. And I want the presence of your Holy Spirit in my life. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might..." D. Recall To Remembrance. Ask the Lord to bring to their remembrance any of the good Word of God that they were taught from their childhood to this day 1. John 14:26 - "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you." 2. Isaiah 55:11 - "So will My word be which goes forth from My mouth; it will not return to Me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it." E. Pray Prayers of Forgiveness Forgive your mother, your father, your son, your daughter. Forgiveness is the master key that unlocks the prison door to a heart of stone. Through forgiveness comes a place of identification. The model prayer of Jesus is not an individual prayer. It is a corporate prayer. Matthew 6:9-15 - "Pray, then, in this way: 'Our Father who is in Heaven, hallowed be Your name. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. (For Yours is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.)'" F. Pray for Laborers to Be Released to Your Loved Ones Matthew 9:38 - "Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest." G. Pray for a Revelation of Eternity Ask the Lord to give them an awareness of the realities of both Heaven and Hell. Ask the Lord to reveal that none are righteous and that we each need to receive the gift of eternal life through Christ Jesus! H. Resist the Enemy Pray to break the powers of darkness that are generationally hindering your loved ones from the saving power of Jesus' Blood. I. Solicit Other People's Prayers Enroll others on your team of intercessors to pray for your family. Ephesians 6:19-20 - "...and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the Gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in proclaiming it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak." 2 Corinthians 1:11 - "...you also joining in helping us through your prayers, so that thanks may be given by many persons on our behalf for the favor bestowed upon us through the prayers of many." J. Revelation of God's Love Ask for God's love to overwhelm them. (Don't pray for bad things to happen to them.) 1. Romans 2:4 - "Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and (forbearance) and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God leads you to repentance?" 2. Romans 12:14, 19 - "Bless those who persecute you; bless and curse not...Never take your own revenge, beloved, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, 'Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,' says the Lord." EXPECT GREAT THINGS! Let revival begin. Release your faith and believe the Lord for more of His presence to come to your family. Stand as a Prophet, Priest, and King of your family before the Lord and your own home and family for the glory of God's great name. PRAYER OF SALVATION FOR FAMILY MEMBERS Lord, I bring my family members to You right now. I bless them in Jesus' great name. I call forth that You soften their hearts and release the spirit of conviction upon them. I pray that You reveal the goodness of God to them and draw them to repentance. Release laborers across their path that will move in power and kindness. Release demonstrations of Your love to them for Your holy name's sake. I pray myfamily members into God's eternal family, in Jesus' name! Amen ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
