  1. Hebrews 2:4 says God also testified to it by signs, wonders, and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will. In Matthew 12:39 it says, He answered, “A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign!" I have always heard the Matthew verse teaching that asking for a sign is what a sinful/wicked generation does. In Hebrews 2:4 though it says that God used signs, wonders, and miracles to testify. Obviously the Bible doesn't contradict itself, but one seems to make signs, wonders, and miracles good, and the other asking for a sign is sinful. What's the difference between asking God for clarity and discernment, verses asking for a sign. My understanding is that we don't ask for a sign, but God still uses them for good. I think the importance of the 1st 4 verses of Hebrews 2, is to caution all believers not to drift away from their first love, Christ. Feel free to share your thoughts to help me understand it better. Maybe I'm just complicating these 2 passages. Hebrews 2:18 Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. The phrase, “he himself suffered when he was tempted,” reminds me that refraining from sin/temptation can be hard and cause suffering, but that's what God wants us to do. It also reminds me that it was hard for Christ to resist the flesh, just as it is for us. 2 Timothy 2:22 Run from temptations that capture young people. That's another verse instructing us to flee temptations
  2. Daily Reading 29 If you prefer, you can look up the following verses in your own Bible, of by whatever means and in whatever version you choose. Luke 21 Genesis 38 Psalm 29 Audio 4:18 Audio 4:34 Audio 1:16 The above addresses are linked to Bible Gateway. That is an easy way to read (or listen to) the Bible verses, and choose your version. Personally, I prefer written, that way I can go at my own pace, on think about it, before moving on. Nothing wrong with doing either or both. The Bible says faith comes by hearing. See the picture below to get an idea of what to expect if you follow the above links. Note: The audio will not play the exact verses, it will play the whole chapters, in which the verses exist. Thank you Lord for making the your word so accessible for us in these times. Amen
  3. Hebrews 11:1 - "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen." That word "evidence" means an outward sign or indication. Faith is something that furnishes proof. Faith is no longer going to be an obscure or intangible concept that a Believer's hope will bring change. Rather, it is a reality or a sign of what the Believer knows is there, even if "sight" of the full physical manifestation of it IS NOT present. It is an unmovable force that will stop Hell's agenda and release the agenda of Heaven in the earth realm. It operates by love. It will thrust the global Church into a new era of demonstration of SIGNS AND WONDERS, as well as vision released by God. Healing and the power of God are what will persuade unbelievers that God is real and the testimony of His Son, Jesus, is true today. It will and must invade the Muslim world, the Hindu world and the Buddhist world with God's power, turning the masses to salvation in Jesus. It will invade the culture of the world with the culture of the Kingdom of Heaven. It will release angelic activity and increased revelation. THE FAITH OF GOD This kind of faith is about to possess the faithful ones and even the last hour laborers that are coming in now. It is no longer faith in God, but it will be a full release of the faith OF GOD. The faith OF GOD is where God's faith possess your nature and you can start creating with Him. Hebrews 11 says that by faith the worlds were framed. People of faith in this hour will have God's faith in them that will frame nations. They will have radical anointing for harvest in multidimensional levels and spheres of influence. Galatians 2"20 - "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith OF THE SON OF GOD, who loved me and gave himself for me." KJV ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  4. Matthew 24:12 - "And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold." Satan wants you to become the temperature of the culture that surrounds you, a believer bound by a stone cold heart. By exposure to hardness and darkness in the times that we live in, our love and passion will begin to cool by degrees. When you see churches and individuals who do not have the energy to reach out, it's an indication that their love has grown cold. In Numbers 16:37, the Lord told Moses to "scatter the burning coals abroad." This is precisely what the great commission is all about -- spreading the Word with a fiery heart. AFFIRMATIONS: I refuse to stay in a normal mode; I'm not going to let the world's cultural wisdom squeeze me into its mold. The world's politically correct agenda can't dictate to me anymore. Luke 2:11 - "For there is born to you this day.....a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS THE PROPHETS SPOKE OF THE MESSIAH'S COMING. THEY GAVE OVER 300 SPECIFIC DETAILS DESCRIBING HIM, JESUS FULFILLED THEM ALL! YET WITH THE ONE STATEMENT, "UNLESS I DO THE WORKS OF THE FATHER, DO NOT BELIEVE ME," (JOHN 10:37) JESUS PUTS THE CREDIBILITY OF ALL THESE MESSENGERS ON THE LINE. THEIR MINISTRIES WOULD HAVE BEEN IN VAIN WITHOUT ONE MORE INGREDIENT TO CONFIRM WHO HE REALLY WAS. THAT INGREDIENT WAS MIRACLES. JESUS GAVE PEOPLE THE RIGHT TO DISBELIEVE IT ALL IF THERE WAS NO DEMONSTRATION OF POWER UPON HIS MINISTRY. IT HAS NOW BECOME OUR JOB, BY MEANS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, TO DISCOVER AND DISPLAY THE FATHER'S HEART: GIVING LIFE AND DESTROYING THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL. "Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness...for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." - Matthew 5:10 Outwardly when we are persecuted or suffer abuse - inwardly we experience "heaven" as God deals mightily with our soul, breaking its addiction to man's approval and liberating us to truly live for Christ. 5. Promises from God are met with "...He has granted to us His precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature..." - 2 Pet. 1:4contradiction in the natural realm. God is announcing a reality to you that will most likely appear very distant and disconnected from your present situation. God's promises are prophetic glimpses of the realities He wants to release into and through your life. Promises Call You to PULL TOMORROW INTO TODAY. Promises will always contradict your present circumstances because God wants you to collaborate with Him, through faith, to bring His promised reality into the present, so that His will can be done. The Word of the Lord places a demand on your life. Will you adjust everything—your habits, your thought processes, your relationships, your pursuits—according to the promise you received, or will you continue with "life as normal?" Normal will never be invaded by the supernatural as long as we are content to continue with status quo rather than accommodate the promises of God. 1 Thessalonians 1:5, "For our Gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake." The message of Good News, "the Gospel," is followed by the reality of God's goodness being demonstrated in people's lives. For then, the reality of God's glory is touching people physically; bringing healing, restoration, and health in dramatic ways that cause people to "stand in awe." -- those who don't know God are struck with a healthy fear of God, conviction of sin and the need to come to a place of salvation. Acts 26:24-25 - Now as he thus made his defense, Festus said with a loud voice, "Paul, you are beside yourself! Much learning is driving you mad!" But he (Paul) said, "I am not mad, most noble Festus, but speak the words of truth and reason." The words "beside yourself" mean to rave as a maniac, and it's the idea of incessant craving. Festus accused Paul of being crazy. Modern culture is not drawn to Christianity because the little they are exposed to is not extreme enough for them. What the world really wants to see is a Christian who is totally enthralled with who Jesus is. Our spiritual learning shouldn't be just systematic theology books but a distinguishable crazy love that goes public. AFFIRMATION: I won't give up, let up, or shut up until I get others to get up, rise up, and take up all who Christ wants them to be! 2 Corinthians 5:13 - "If it seems we are crazy, it is to bring glory to God. And if we are in our right minds, it is for your benefit." NLT One of the great men of God of the sixteenth century, Francis Xavier, charged the apathetic European students of his day to "give up your small ambitions and come and preach the Gospel of Christ." (Luke 4:26) And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian. (Luke 4:27) What Jesus meant by this?
