  1. NOW is the Time to Awaken! We are being called in these turbulent times to contend for change and take an unshakable stand that transforms our culture. It is time for a spiritual revolution. WALK OUT OF PASSIVITY AND LUKEWARMNESS There is a paralyzing passivity so prevalent in the Church today. As prophetic voices, we must sound the alarm: these are not days of peace! We have no armistice with the workers of darkness! We must stir ourselves out of this stupor, as Scripture instructs us to do. We must rouse to reality and awake (Romans 13:11-14 AMP). A non-confrontational attitude is not the role and the responsibility of God's end-time warriors! We must awaken. Now is the time to find God's PURPOSE for your life and theCALLING you were destined to fulfill. "Keep on asking and it wil be given you; keep on seeking and you wil find; keep on knocking and the door will be opened to you." - Matthew 7:7 AMP Shake yourself and rise to the occasion (Joshua 1:7). You are called to be a history maker, to change the world. These are not empty phrases but powerful prophetic promises. YourDESTINY and the destiny of coming generations demand that we do our very best – now! Indeed, the destinies of nations depend upon our actions. RUN FROM COMPROMISE AND COMPLACENCY! This is no time to enter negotiations with the devil. Never forget that the enemy of your soul would, if he could, utterly destroy and devastate your life, the life of your loved ones, your neighbors and our nation. We must not entertain compromise nor tolerate complacency. On the contrary, we are called to confront the powers of darkness. Rather than remaining passive, complacent or compromised, it is our responsibility to resist the enemy and stand firm (John 10:10). He is a defeated foe – but we nevertheless must rout him out of our lives and nation. Run from cooperating with the enemy! Our response must be the opposite of his evil suggestions. We must withstand him and his demons with all our heart, submitting to the Spirit of God and His Word instead. Having done all to stand, we shall stand bold and brave, resisting the devil and all his schemes, knowing full well that greater is God's power within us than the devil's power about us (1 John 4:4). WE ARE MORE THAN CONQUERORS We are fighting from a place of victory! Why? Because our Lord and Savior has already defeated every foe at Calvary! In Christ we are more than conquerors. We are truly, practically, eternally victorious in every arena of life – and are not victims (Romans 8:37). Cast off any "victim" mindset and take hold of the truth spoken by Christ as He gave His life for you: "It is finished!" He fought the war and won – on our behalf. We will stand strong, knowing that as we resist, we are more than victors in Christ Jesus(Colossians 1:13-14). What we see withstanding us will not erase from our souls the victory God has promised. Let your heart gain courage from this promise Deuteronomy 31:6: - "Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them for the Lord our God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you." As we STAND IN FAITH, drawing ever closer to God and resisting the devil, the enemy flees(James 4:7). Through the power of Christ Jesus, we will trample on the evil works of satan(Luke 10:19). As we walk in confidence, knowing our God and depending upon Christ the King, then we will see the promise of Romans 16:20 fulfilled: "...the God of Peace will crush the powers of satan under our feet." 2. "My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips. When I remember You on my bed, I meditate on You in the night watches. Because You have been my help, therefore in the shadow of Your wings I will rejoice." Psalm 63:5-7 In this classic Psalm, David teaches us a method to calm the screaming soul and find satisfaction even in the most critical circumstances. What is the method? -- Meditation. It's important to know that David was in the wilderness running for his life when he wrote this. He wasn't meditating on his kingly bed with servants tending to his every need. He was in a tough time. Nevertheless, he meditated on God; therefore, he could worship instead of weep. As we meditate on God, we will too. STAYED ON YOU David delighted in the law of the Lord (see Psalm 1:1-2). The Hebrew word for meditation used here is "hagah" (Strong's #1897) and it not just a mental exercise. Hagah means: to reflect, to ponder, to muse. However, it also means: to mutter, to moan, or to make a soft sound, to speak. The effect is to get lost in communion with God "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. " - Isaiah 26:3 In the midst of trials, one of the things we must do is stop and see where our mind is focused. The enemy of our soul would love for us to continue looking at our circumstance; however, that will not provide us the perfect peace and soul satisfaction we are desperate for. The harder the trial the more critical it is to get your mind focused on God. What does it mean to "stay our mind"? The Hebrew word for "mind" here is yetser (pronounced yay'-tser, Strong's #3336). The root of this word speaks of forming and fashioning, even squeezing something into shape. We see the word first in Genesis 2:7 as the Lord "formed" man out of the dust...or in Hebrew -- the Lord "yester" man out of the dust. Through this example, we can see that it takes a CONCIOUS EFFORT ON OUR BEHALF -- even "squeezing" our thoughts to be STAYED on God. The Hebrew word for "STAYED," is samech (pronounced saw-mak, Strong's #5564). Samech means to lean, lay, rest, support and it speaks of setting, placing or laying something upon something else so that it may be supported by it. TAKING OUR THOUGHTS CAPTIVE As we meditate and form or even squeeze our thoughts to focus on God instead of our situation, we are placing them on Him so that we may be supported by Him. That sheds more light on 1 Peter 5:7 - "Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you." We are not merely meditating on the Lord because we trust Him. We are actually taking our thoughts captive and forming them, and setting them upon God. Through this purposeful process we will receive support, perfect peace, and the ultimate soul satisfaction. Just as a circle has no beginning or end, neither does God. His love is from everlasting to everlasting. This is what we can focus our thoughts on...the Lamb of God, the love of God. As we do that, we will be surrounded, supported, and kept in perfect peace in the heart of God. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  3. What is our spiritual responsibility during times of difficulty?
  4. 1. How do you know that God wants us to reign in life?Answer: Romans 5:17 "For if by the transgression of the one, death reigned through the one, much more those who receive th abundance of grace and of the gift of reighteousness will reign in life through the One Jesus Christ. - Romans 5:17"For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily. And you are complete in Him, which is the head of all principality and power." - Colossians 2:9-10"for you are all one in Christ Jesus, and if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's descendants, heirs according to promise." - Galatians 3:28-29 2. List 3 ways Jesus is victorious over Satan. Answer:(1) He healed and deliverd all that were oppressed of the devil.(2) He destroyed the power of Satan at the cross of Calvary.(3) Through the new creation the believer is set free as he receives Jesus as his Lord and Savior. Satan's spiritual hold on the believer is severed as he is set free. "Since we, God's children are human beings -- made of flesh and blood -- He became flesh and blood too by being born in human form; for only as a human being could He die and in dying break the power of the devil who had the power of death." - Hebrews 2:14-15"...for the ruler of the world is coming, and he has nothing in Me." - John 14:30"therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come." - 2 Corinthians 5:17 3. Why is His victory our victory? Answer: What God wrought in Jesus is wrought in us. Jesus was made sin with our sinfulness that we could be made righteous with His righteousness. We were crucified, died, made alive, and raised together with Him. "I am crucified with Christ; nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me." - Galatians 2:20"And what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might....and raised us up with Him and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus." - Ephesians 1:19; 2:6"He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." - 2 Corinthians 5:21 4. What has God given us to walk victoriously in this life? Answer: We have His nature, His armor, His power, His Spirit, His name, and His word and the authority to use them for His purpose in the earth. "I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you." - John 14:16,17"Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Stand firm therefore, having girded your loins with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; in addition to all taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one." - Ephesians 6:11,14-16"For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline." - 2 Timothy 1:7 5. How does a man sever himself from satan's hold on his life? Answer: 2 Peter 1:3,4"Seeing that His divine power has granted to us everything pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. For by these He has granted to us His precious and magnificent promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world by lust." - 2 Peter 1:3,4"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them." - Ephesians 2:10"Our old self was crucified with Him, in order that our body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be slaves to sin; now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him." - Romans 6:6,8 INTO ACTION:Affirm and meditate on the indicated scriptures several times daily until the renewing of your mind is made real to your spirit. AFFIRMATIONS:Since I have received God's overflowing grace and the free gift of righteousness, I reign as king in life through Jesus Christ. (Romans 5:17) I am born of God and have victory that conquers the world through faith. (1 John 5:4) Just as Jesus cursed the fig tree, I curse those things in my life that are not bearing godly fruit. (Mark 11:21) ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY

  6. this is a praise topic. God proves His hand is involved by moving when all seems lost. in this, He shows His immeasurable love. He leaves not even a shadow of a doubt, and loves to operate within the realm of "impossibilities". He does not share His glory. let's share examples of how God wins through what seems as losing to mankind. biblical examples and/or personal testimonies are all welcome. me first: Christ Jesus as the suffering servant, loving and obedient Son of God, voluntarily gave His life for all the sins of humanity. through His apparent defeat, we are all victorious. through His death, we have life, and life in abundance. personally, when Christ found me, i was at my utter worst. i had lost all hope in this life and the one hereafter. when i was ready to give it all up, He reached out His hand to lift me up. i died that day, alright.. the Prince of Peace killed me with His perfect love, and that old man passed away.. He makes all things new... your turn!
  7. love to you all. my intent in creating this topic is to : a) discuss the differences between the 5 Crowns mentioned in the Scriptures. b) discuss which Crown(s) you are striving for daily, and which you believe Jesus Christ will place on your head on the day of recognition. --------------- 1) The Incorruptible Crown! (emphasis: mine) 1Co 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 1Co 9:25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. 1Co 9:26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: 1Co 9:27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. this Crown is awarded to those of us who like Paul, faithfully run the race! those of us who with the help of the Holy Spirit, strive to crucify EVERY fleshly and selfish desire in submission to Christ. and in doing so, continually point mankind to our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! the Crown that can never perish.. the imperishable Crown. what types of Crowns can we speculate are referred to here as perishable(corruptible) then? 2) The Crown of Rejoicing! (emphasis: mine) 1Th 2:19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? 1Th 2:20 For ye are our glory and joy. it appears this Crown is a soul winner's Crown! awarded to those of us who faithfully witness God's saving Grace through the blood of Jesus Christ, and lead others to the foot of the Cross! those who are anointed in bringing the lost to become found as new creatures in Christ will shine like the STARS in the heavens for eternity in glory to the Father! Hallelujah! Dan 12:3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. 3) The Crown of Life (emphasis: mine) Jas 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. whew praise Jesus for Matthew Henry! trials, tribulations, sufferings, and even unto death! the martyr's Crown! Oh what a love so grand Christ has placed in the hearts of His children! And they will be rewarded accordingly! Hallelujah! Rev 2:8 And unto the angel of the church in Smyrna write; These things saith the first and the last, which was dead, and is alive; Rev 2:9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. Rev 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. Rev 2:11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death. whew...thank you Jesus! 4)The Crown of Righteousness! (emphasis: mine) 2Ti 4:6 For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 2Ti 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course,I have kept the faith: 2Ti 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. Come Lord Jesus come! all who anxiously await His return in all His glory for His saints! all those who have fought the good fight of faith will wear this Crown of Righteousness! Hallelujah! 5) The Crown of Glory! (emphasis: mine) 1Pe 5:1 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, andalso a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: 1Pe 5:2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; 1Pe 5:3 Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. 1Pe 5:4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. a Crown of Glory awaits those appointed leaders in the Body of Christ who tend to the sheep of God FAITHFULLY! Oh LORD, bless our ministers of faith, and guide your shepherds that they may rejoice in truthfully feeding the flock of God! Hallelujah! -------------- I am striving for them ALL! How about you?! may the LORD Jesus Christ continue blessing you all, and hopefully we won't look too funny at the wedding supper with all those Crowns! love to you all and God bless.
