  1. All my life i have heard stories of miraculous wonders from god and they are all in the bible, in oppressed countries (or ones that oppress christians) but why does the world seem so mundane? The types of miracles we see is so basic and purely for convenience like a small prayer about work awnsered yet in other countries demons are being cast out, people being healed by the dozen, and other random miracles are happening. I often womder if god has left the western world or if we left him... If we step out for god and imerse ourselves with his word would we be seeing the miracles the spirit promises us work in our country?
  2. Does anyone believe in the power of prayer and fasting? I have gone on 3 40 day fast and God did not acknowledge me?
  3. Does anyone believe in the power of miracles? Care to share?
  4. Jesus teaches us that the only way we can position ourselves to see our promises fulfilled is by refusing to define ourselves according to anything but what God has said about us. Affirmation: He has raised me up with Jesus and seated me in heavenly places. He has given me His name. His Blood, His Authority. His Power. His Spirit. Words are not enough to claim the Kingdom of God. It takes strength and courage and violence. You must violently resist the tides of the world. Violently give up all that holds you back from God. Violently turn your will over to God to embrace His CALLING on your life. If one is not experiencing the victorious Christian life, it is either because he is not born again or because he has not been well DISCIPLED in the full Gospel of Jesus Christ. Affirmation: I see myself with victory. I visualize where God wants me to be. Then, I act as if I am already there. The Holy Spirit’s desire is that we live every day in the fullness of the Lord, by seeing above and beyond what we can do, and that Jesus would receive glory and honor through His great power that works in us and through us. “Now to Him, who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be the glory…” - Ephesians 3:20 One of the most crucial areas in which believers fall short in is pressing into God. Many pray briefly about decisions, then merely do what seems like common sense, not acquiring the mind of the Lord at all. But God must be sought. Affirmation: I spend time developing my faith by affirming and meditating on the Word of God and applying it to overcome the storms of life. A demonic stronghold is any type of thinking that exalts itself above the knowledge of God, thereby giving the devil a secure place of influence in an individual’s thought life. When you were born again, you began a new life under new management. You were given a whole new system to live by. So when you realize that Jesus is in charge – that it is no longer you trying to meet our own need – your attitude towards difficulties change. Strain just falls away, burdens disappear, and worry ceases. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
  5. John 6:5,7 - "So when Jesus went up into the hills and sat down with His disciples around Him, he soon saw a great multitude of people climbing the hill, looking for Him. Turning to Philip he asked. 'Philip, where can we buy bread to feed all these people?' Philip answered him, "Two hundred denarii would not buy enough bread for each one to have a bite!" Philip got caught up in thinking about the problem. He was figuring out how many people there were....how much money was in the treasury....and how much bread costs. He was so preoccupied with his own doubts and questions that the problems were speaking to him more loudly than the Lord. As a result, he answered Jesus without really listening to Him. OBSERVATION: The Lord often asks us to go beyond our abilities. Our usual response is to express our limitations -- not realizing that Jesus is asking us to place our limited ability in His hand, so He can multiply it. AFFIRMATION: WHEN I GET OUTSIDE OF MYSELF AND BEGIN TO THINK INSIDE THE WORD OF GOD, I GET OUTSIDE OF MY LIMITATIONS AND INTO THE LIMITLESS POWER OF ALMIGHTY GOD! Philippians 4:6 - "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Christ's presence within us is our assurance that we can live in peace, even in times of pressure and turmoil. This is the abundant life purchased for us by the broken body and spilled Blood of the Lamb of God at Calvary. He died and rose again to birth the Kingdom of God within us when we are born again. The Prince of Peace abides within us! We have a Blood-bought right to walk in uninterrupted shalom, free from all anxiety and fear, because of the living, breathing presence of Christ in our temple. Affirmations: JESUS IS MY GREAT HIGH PRIEST, AND HE IS INTERCEDING FOR ME RIGHT NOW. WITH GOD ON MY SIDE, I CAN ENJOY LIFE AS HE INTENDED FOR ME TO ENJOY IT. I BOLDLY CONFESS THAT I AM FEAR-FREE AND THAT ANXIETY HAS NO PLACE IN ME! I DECLARE THIS BY FAITH IN JESUS' NAME! Song of Solomon 3:6 - "Who is she that goes up by the wilderness, like a pillar of smoke, from the incense of myrrh, and frankincense, and all the powders of the perfumer?" YOU BECOME SO PURE IN THE ARMS OF YOUR BELOVED (JESUS) THAT YOU SEEM LIKE A BREATH OF AIR CONSUMED BY THE FIRE OF LOVE. YOUR UPRIGHTNESS IS LIKE SMOKE RISING. YOUR SPIRITUAL NATURE IS CLEARLY EVIDENT. YOU FLOW UPWARD, COMING FORTH FROM THE WILDERNESS OF FAITH. WHERE ARE YOU GOING? TO REST IN GOD. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRYhttp://afministry.ning.com
  6. Hebrews 2:4 says God also testified to it by signs, wonders, and various miracles, and by gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will. In Matthew 12:39 it says, He answered, “A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign!" I have always heard the Matthew verse teaching that asking for a sign is what a sinful/wicked generation does. In Hebrews 2:4 though it says that God used signs, wonders, and miracles to testify. Obviously the Bible doesn't contradict itself, but one seems to make signs, wonders, and miracles good, and the other asking for a sign is sinful. What's the difference between asking God for clarity and discernment, verses asking for a sign. My understanding is that we don't ask for a sign, but God still uses them for good. I think the importance of the 1st 4 verses of Hebrews 2, is to caution all believers not to drift away from their first love, Christ. Feel free to share your thoughts to help me understand it better. Maybe I'm just complicating these 2 passages. Hebrews 2:18 Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted. The phrase, “he himself suffered when he was tempted,” reminds me that refraining from sin/temptation can be hard and cause suffering, but that's what God wants us to do. It also reminds me that it was hard for Christ to resist the flesh, just as it is for us. 2 Timothy 2:22 Run from temptations that capture young people. That's another verse instructing us to flee temptations
  7. Hebrews 11:1 - "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen." That word "evidence" means an outward sign or indication. Faith is something that furnishes proof. Faith is no longer going to be an obscure or intangible concept that a Believer's hope will bring change. Rather, it is a reality or a sign of what the Believer knows is there, even if "sight" of the full physical manifestation of it IS NOT present. It is an unmovable force that will stop Hell's agenda and release the agenda of Heaven in the earth realm. It operates by love. It will thrust the global Church into a new era of demonstration of SIGNS AND WONDERS, as well as vision released by God. Healing and the power of God are what will persuade unbelievers that God is real and the testimony of His Son, Jesus, is true today. It will and must invade the Muslim world, the Hindu world and the Buddhist world with God's power, turning the masses to salvation in Jesus. It will invade the culture of the world with the culture of the Kingdom of Heaven. It will release angelic activity and increased revelation. THE FAITH OF GOD This kind of faith is about to possess the faithful ones and even the last hour laborers that are coming in now. It is no longer faith in God, but it will be a full release of the faith OF GOD. The faith OF GOD is where God's faith possess your nature and you can start creating with Him. Hebrews 11 says that by faith the worlds were framed. People of faith in this hour will have God's faith in them that will frame nations. They will have radical anointing for harvest in multidimensional levels and spheres of influence. Galatians 2"20 - "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith OF THE SON OF GOD, who loved me and gave himself for me." KJV ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  8. "He who believes in Me the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father" (John 14:12). Are we walking with an earnest expectation of the miraculous? Are we truly expecting to see the goodness of God manifested (birthed) on earth, or are we just hoping that it will be? Hope in God is good, but the Lord wants to turn our hope into a living, breathing expectation. GOD IS CALLING US to supernatural living and it begins with an expectation of the miraculous. The enemy of our soul is always trying to discourage us and cause us to lose sight of who we are in Christ and all that comes along with our birthright. We are governed by the natural (what the news says, what the doctor says, etc.), yet we are children of a supernatural God who asked us to pray that things would be on earth just as they are in Heaven. EXPECTATION BASED ON HIS WORD Mary was pregnant with the expectation of God's Kingdom being manifested on earth. Her hope in God brought her to this level of expectation, "Let it be to me according to Your word" (Luke 1:38). She took God at His word and the Holy Spirit overshadowed her. Something supernatural happens when we allow God to overshadow us. Mary was pregnant with God's Word, "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth" (John 1:14). She was expecting and she delivered. We too can take God at His Word. Every promise, every jot, every tittle, every utterance from God is ours. Though it tarries, we continue to expect and don't give up. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  9. We overcome regardless of the enemy's strategy because of who GOD is. We can rest in the revelation of who He is as we focus on Him. Make the valley you are going through your "secret place of worship and intimacy" and watch Him fight for you and turn things around. God is committed to releasing victory to you in any season of your life regardless of whether you are in the valley or on the hills. "We use God's mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments." - 2 Corinthians 10:4 (NLT) "But speaking the truth in To those beginning their spiritual journey, God reveals Himself as Father. The picture is of a loving father embracing and reassuring his children.love, may grow up into Him in all things, which is the head, even Christ." - Ephesians 4:15 After knowing God as Father He goes on to reveal Himself as Warrior, "The LORD is a warrior..." (Exodus 15:3 NIV). The picture is of a warrior training recruits for battle. To those who know God as both Father and Warrior He reveals Himself as Consuming Fire, "For our God is a consuming fire" (Hebrews 12:29). God is "from the beginning," that is, He is eternal. He has no beginning and no end. The picture is of an all-consuming reality (Song of Songs 8:6). When we know Him as Father, we become secure in His love. When we know Him as Warrior, we become strong in His might. When we know Him as Consuming Fire, we become one with Him in wholehearted union. QUESTIONS TO ASK MYSELF:• Is God specifically revealing Himself to me as either Father, Warrior, or Consuming Fire? • Is there anything in you that resists knowing God as Father, Warrior, or Consuming Fire? • Are you growing in the knowledge of God or are you resisting the change He desires to bring in your life? Mark 11:24 - "Therefore I say unto you, what things soever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them." Affirmations: I KEEP THE SWITCH OF FAITH TURNED ON. WHEN I BELIEVE I RECEIVE -- FAITH IS RELEASED. I DON’T HAVE TO MAKE IT HAPPEN. I DON’T HAVE TO FEEL IT HAPPEN. IT JUST HAPPENS. THE REBORN SPIRIT IS MADE THAT WAY. Mark 5:36 - "Be not afraid, only believe." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  10. "On this Matthew 16:18 -rock I will build My church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Where precisely are the gates of hell? Where does the devil sit in power? The mind is the gatekeeper of the Kingdom of God. It is the place of access, transition, and power. It follows that the gates of hell are set up in people's minds. Jesus made this clear: Matthew 16:23 - But He turned and said to "Get behind Me, satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men."Peter, The devil is empowered by human agreement. That mental posture was a gate from He didn't say, "Peter, you devil worshiper!" He didn't say, "You are filled with all kinds of occult practices and deceits." He said, "Your mind is filled with the things of man."satan was released to bring Peter's destruction.which Humanity without Christ at the center is satanic in nature. When you've been given the Spirit of God, you lose the privilege of claiming, "I'm only human." Paul rebukes the church at Corinth for behaving like mere men (1 Corinthians 3:3). The gate of hell is in our minds any time we agree with a man-centered perspective or natural wisdom that does not know God. We empower demonic forces and become a gate to release his power to kill, steal, and destroy our lives. Affirmation: I AM A GATEWAY FOR HEAVEN'S REALITY TO TAKE OVER EVERY PART OF MY LIFE, AND THE LIVES OF PEOPLE WHO I INFLUENCE, NO MATTER HOW BIG OR SMALL THE SPECIFIC SITUATION IS. Acts 4:33 - "And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all." Observation: THE POWER OF GOD THAT I EXPERIENCE IN LIFE IS MORE UP TO ME THAN IT IS UP TO THE LORD. IT'S MY ASSIGNMENT TO MAKE SURE THAT I HAVE THE WORD ABIDING IN ME. Mark 10:51 - "And Jesus said to him, 'What do you want Me to do for you?' And the blind man said to Him, Master, let me receive my sight."' God is moved by faith, even though Jesus knew what Bartimaeus needed, He was waiting for a specific request and an expression of true faith. "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find, knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh Matthew 7:7,8 -findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  11. Matthew 9:36 - "But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd." COMPASSION IS A DEEP YEARNING THAT RESPONDS TO THE NEEDS OF PEOPLE. JESUS' LIFE ON EARTH WAS A PICTURE OF COMPASSION IN ACTION. HIS WHOLE MINISTRY WAS DRIVEN BY IT. IT WAS COMPASSION THAT CAUSED HIM TO MULTIPLY THE LOAVES AND FISHES, HEAL THE SICK, CAST OUT DEMONS AND RAISE THE DEAD. IT WAS COMPASSION THAT COMPELLED HIM TO GO TO THE CROSS. Observation: HE NOW LONGS TO POUR OUT THAT SAME COMPASSION THROUGH ME. HIS COMPASSION MOVES ME TO PROVIDE FOR THE HUNGRY. IT COMPELS ME TO CAST OUT DEMONS AND SET THE CAPTIVES FREE. I REACH OUT AND TOUCH A LOVE-STARVED WORLD WITH COMPASSION. Matthew 28:19-21 - "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I will be with you always, to the very end of the age." The great commission God's covenant promise "I will be with you" has always been linked to mankind's need for courage to face the impossible.provides more interesting reading for those who remember what kind of men God was giving His charge to -- greedy, prideful, angry, and self-centered. Yet Jesus called them to change the world. QUESTION TO ASK MYSELF: Do I believe that Jesus can overcome my shortcomings and still use me to do His kingdom work? "Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna..." -Revelation 2:17 As we spend time resting in the presence of God there is an abiding prophetic anointing that begins to rest upon us. Hidden manna and mysteries are revealed supernaturally by the Holy Spirit when we invest in His presence and behold Him as He is, and we become one with Him and begin to understand the way He thinks and feels as well as His deepest heart yearnings. We overcome and become an expression of His very life—a reflection of His heart and feelings toward others. When we are one with Him in heart and mind, we can't help but be in tune with Him as we relate to those around us, available to speak a word in season to minister to a needy heart in the moment. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  12. Hebrews 12:3 - "Consider Jesus that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds." THE SPIRIT OF WEARINESS IS TRYING TO WORK ITS WAY INTO OUR LIVES THESE DAYS THROUGH ALL THE PRESSURE AND BAD NEWS THAT SURROUNDS US. IT'S WORKING TO GET OUR EYES OFF THE WORD OF GOD BY BOMBARDING US WITH NEGATIVE FORCES. IT'S TRYING TO GET US TO LOOK DOWN AT DEFEAT INSTEAD OF UP AT JESUS. JESUS SAID IN MARK 4 THAT WHEN THE CARES OF THIS WORLD ENTER INTO YOUR HEART AND MIND, THEY'LL CHOKE THE WORD AND CAUSE IT TO BECOME UNFRUITFUL. AND SINCE YOUR FAITH IS THE PRODUCT OF THE WORD, THAT MEANS YOUR FAITH WILL WITHER. Affirmations: I CONSIDER JESUS THE AUTHOR AND FINISHER OF MY FAITH. I CONSIDER HIM INSTEAD OF THE CARES OF THIS WORLD. I GET MY EYES OFF THE CIRCUMSTANCES AROUND ME AND ONTO MY HEAVENLY SOURCE. GOD IS MY SOURCE, NOT THE WORLD. Ephesians 2:18,21,22 - "It is through Christ that all of us, Jews and Gentiles, are able to come in the one Spirit into the presence of the Father. A holy temple in the Lord; in whom we also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit." FOR WHAT PURPOSE DO WE SEEK GOD? - WE ASPIRE TO WORSHIP HIM. JESUS SAID THE FATHER IS SEEKING WORSHIPPERS. THE WORSHIP THAT SATISFIES GOD MUST ORIGINATE FROM THE HOLY PLACE, WHERE THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF MAN IS AWAKENED TO THE SPIRIT OF GOD. WORSHIP DOES NOT COME FROM ANY SYSTEM OR FORM OF SERVICE. RATHER, IT IS THE RESULT OF HAVING TRULY DISCOVERED THE ALMIGHTY ONE IN "SPIRIT AND TRUTH" (JOHN 4:23). "My Father is working until now, and I Myself am working." - John 5:17 We work and partner with what he is already doing in Heaven. The father works in heaven and we work with the Holy Spirit on earth. "So Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he "sees" the Father doing. For whatever the Father does, that the Son does likewise." We are totally dependent on the Holy Spirit to discern the Father's will, so we can partner with heaven on earth. "For the Father loves the Son, and "shows Him" all things that He Himself is doing; and the Father will show Him greater works than these, so that you will marvel." - John 5:19-20 The context of the above Scriptures is Jesus and the intimacy he had with the father. In these verses we see a great key to doing his will and manifesting his power. As we affirm and meditate on these verses our expectation to "see" will grow. Jesus knew the key was in prayer and waiting. We see it and proclaim it! Once we learn how to partner with God, by seeing whatever He directs us to see in the heavens, then we learn how to speak with authority in that realm, calling it forth in prayer. Then it manifests here on the earth. What you do in that kind of experience will change what happens to you in this realm. He longs to share the secrets of His heart with those who tune their spiritual ears to listen to what His Spirit is saying. "I will stand at my guard post and station myself on the tower; and I will keep watch to see what He will say to me," -- Habakkuk 2:1 We wait, pray, look and "see" what The Lord "says to me." We must see by revelation. It is key to manifesting his power. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  13. Matthew 24:12 - "And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold." Satan wants you to become the temperature of the culture that surrounds you, a believer bound by a stone cold heart. By exposure to hardness and darkness in the times that we live in, our love and passion will begin to cool by degrees. When you see churches and individuals who do not have the energy to reach out, it's an indication that their love has grown cold. In Numbers 16:37, the Lord told Moses to "scatter the burning coals abroad." This is precisely what the great commission is all about -- spreading the Word with a fiery heart. AFFIRMATIONS: I refuse to stay in a normal mode; I'm not going to let the world's cultural wisdom squeeze me into its mold. The world's politically correct agenda can't dictate to me anymore. Luke 2:11 - "For there is born to you this day.....a Savior, who is Christ the Lord." FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS THE PROPHETS SPOKE OF THE MESSIAH'S COMING. THEY GAVE OVER 300 SPECIFIC DETAILS DESCRIBING HIM, JESUS FULFILLED THEM ALL! YET WITH THE ONE STATEMENT, "UNLESS I DO THE WORKS OF THE FATHER, DO NOT BELIEVE ME," (JOHN 10:37) JESUS PUTS THE CREDIBILITY OF ALL THESE MESSENGERS ON THE LINE. THEIR MINISTRIES WOULD HAVE BEEN IN VAIN WITHOUT ONE MORE INGREDIENT TO CONFIRM WHO HE REALLY WAS. THAT INGREDIENT WAS MIRACLES. JESUS GAVE PEOPLE THE RIGHT TO DISBELIEVE IT ALL IF THERE WAS NO DEMONSTRATION OF POWER UPON HIS MINISTRY. IT HAS NOW BECOME OUR JOB, BY MEANS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, TO DISCOVER AND DISPLAY THE FATHER'S HEART: GIVING LIFE AND DESTROYING THE WORKS OF THE DEVIL. "Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness...for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." - Matthew 5:10 Outwardly when we are persecuted or suffer abuse - inwardly we experience "heaven" as God deals mightily with our soul, breaking its addiction to man's approval and liberating us to truly live for Christ. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  14. Ezekiel 47:9 - "And it shall be that every living thing that moves, wherever the rivers go, will live. There will be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters go there; for they will be healed, and everything will live wherever the river goes." THE WATERS (WHICH REPRESENT WHAT GOD HAS DEPOSITED WITHIN US) MUST REACH THE SEA (WHICH REPRESENTS THE MASSES OF HUMANITY WHO ARE WITHOUT CHRIST). GOD HAS PUT SOMETHING INSIDE OF US AND HE WANTS IT TO FLOW OUT. THE MORE IT FLOWS OUT, THE MORE LIFE IT'S GOING TO BRING. IF THERE'S ONLY A TRICKLE AT FIRST, HE WANTS IT TO BECOME A MIGHTY RIVER. IT AFFECTS LIVES; IT BRINGS HEALING! IT BRINGS DELIVERANCE! THE DEAD SEA IS STAGNANT BECAUSE NOTHING FLOWS OUT OF IT. IT'S LIKE THE CHRISTIAN WHO GETS A LOT OF GREAT TEACHING AT CHURCH, GOES TO OUTSIDE CONFERENCES, RECEIVES TONS OF PRAYER, BUT NOTHING GOD PUTS IN EVER FLOWS OUT. IT IS A BAD CASE OF SELF-CENTEREDNESS APPEALING OVER SELF-DENIAL. WHEREVER THERE'S A DRY PLACE -- A NEED -- THE WATERS NEED TO GO THERE. Affirmations: MY JOB IS TO WIN THE LOST TO JESUS CHRIST. THERE IS LIFE COMING OUT OF ME WHEREVER I GO. Matthew 28:19 - "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations....teaching them to observe all things I have commanded you." A young man told his pastor "I'll pursue signs and wonders when I know I have more of the character of Christ in me." As good as that sounds, it comes from a religious mindset, not a heart abandoned to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Is it possible the reason there are so few miracles in North America is because too many before us thought they had to become better Christians before God could use them? Yes! That single lie has kept us in perpetual immaturity because it protects us from the power-encounter that transforms us. The result is we have converts trained and over trained until they have no life, vision or ingenuity left. WHEN THE NEXT GENERATION PICKS UP A BIBLE, THEIR FOCUS WILL NOT BE ON EMOTIONAL HEALING OR SELF-ESTEEM. THEY WILL ASK WHERE THE TRIGGER IS AND HOW TO FIRE IT. WHEN THEY READ THE WORD, THEY WILL WANT TO APPLY IT TO THE TAKING OVER OF NEIGHBORHOODS FOR GOD! 1 Thessalonians 5:18 - "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." The Scripture instructs us to give thanks IN all things , not FOR all things. When tragedy or calamity strikes we are not to thank God for them. He is not the author. He's the One who provides our way out from them, and that's what we thank Him for. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  15. The tendency to embrace the concept of God being an angry Father is done in equal proportion to a person's inability to demonstrate His power. There is a connection between our belief system and what actually flows through us. If we don't see Jesus' life as the ultimate illustration of the will of God, we will continually undermine our ability to display it. The Holy Spirit always wants to demonstrate what God says. God confirmed the word with signs following (Mark 16:20). In Hebrews 2:3-4 it says, "How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him; God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?" Well, we know for sure that God wants to do signs and wonders and confirm His own word because scripture says so. Some Christians think is it so spiritual to say, "I don't need signs and wonders." Jesus actually relied on signs and wonders and manifestations. He went out of the way to make sure the Holy Spirit had an occasion to demonstrate the words He spoke. Jesus said, "I am the bread of life" (John 6:35) and fed the 5,000. He said, "I am the resurrection and the life" (John 11:25) and He raised the dead. He said, "I am the light of the world" (John 8:12) and He opened the eyes of the blind. God always wants to do what He says. The Apostle Paul said, "And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power" (1 Corinthians 2:4). The indwelling Holy Spirit enables us to bear more of the revelation of Jesus than was possible for the original twelve disciples. GOD IS TALKING -- TAKE NOTE AND LISTEN One of the essential gestures of faith is to live with the expectation that the God who said that His sheep hear His voice and who gave His life to restore relationship with each of us would like to communicate with us. This faith leads us to lean into His voice. "Speak Lord, for your servant is listening." - 1 Samuel 3:9 The heart of abiding faith "leans into God," anticipating His voice, looking for His next move. Like Jesus, we are to be able to say, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent me." (John 4:34) God talks to us in various ways. He talks through the Bible which contains the Word of God, and He talks to us through the Holy Spirit who brings us life. The Holy Spirit was given the task of not simply revealing all that Jesus possesses, but to actually "disclose" it to us. Every declared promise is a transfer of heavenly resources that enable us to fulfill the purpose of our DESTINY. THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY "The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." (Rev. 19:10) - This says that if God has done it once, He is ready to do it again. The spoken or written record of whatever Jesus has done carries the prophetic anointing to cause a change in events in the spirit realm so that the miracle spoken of can happen again. Meditating on the promises of God is something we can do in order to determine where we're going in life. When we DECLARE the Word over our own life and prophesy our own DESTINYin agreement with Him, we release the anointing of the Spirit in a greater measure to bring the Word to pass. "...you shall meditate on it day and night....for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." - Joshua 1:8 ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  16. Luke 8:14 - "The seed among the thorns represents those who listen and believe God's words but whose faith afterward is choked out by worry and riches and the responsibilities and pleasures of life. And so they are never able to help anyone else to believe the Good News." Your enemy wants to subdue your awareness and release a slumbering spirit. In this state he can sell you on giving in to a comfortable life thereby causing a corpse-like complacency. You will always avoid the challenges of "breaking out of the box" into the maximum life that Jesus died to get you into. The phrase "out of the box" means that someone or something has broken out from its barriers. It also means that someone has outgrown their history and has gone beyond their limitations. Luke 2:48,49 - "Behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing. And he said unto them. 'How is it that ye sought me? Wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?'" THE PHARISEES HAD NO UNDERSTANDING OF THE FATHER'S HEART. MUCH OF CHRISTIAN ACTIVITY EXISTS THAT HAS NO RELATIONSHIP TO THAT SUPREME VALUE. THE GOSPEL IS THE STORY OF THE FATHER WOOING THE HEARTS OF MANKIND THROUGH HIS LOVE. WE CAN TRAVEL THE GLOBE AND PREACH THE GOSPEL, BUT WITHOUT A PERSONAL REVELATION OF THE FATHER'S HEART WE'RE CARRYING AROUND SECONDHAND NEWS - A STORY WITHOUT A RELATIONSHIP. THE FATHERS BUSINESS FLOWS FROM HIS HEART. THE CHURCH IS TO BE A MANIFESTATION OF THE FATHER'S HEART TO THE WORLD. WE ARE TO BE CARRIERS OF HIS PRESENCE - DOERS OF HIS WILL. GIVING WHAT WE HAVE RECEIVED RELEASES HIM INTO SITUATIONS PREVIOUSLY HELD IN THE GRIP OF DARKNESS. Galatians 6:7,8 - "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting." Observation: He has revealed the endless crop of boredom I will harvest when I base my life on pleasure-seeking instead of sowing acts of goodness and love for a harvest of eternal life. Luke 21:31 - "But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you." Affirmations: I ASK THE LORD TO PROPEL ME INTO THE NEXT LEVEL OF MY GROWTH AND DESTINY. I AM DETERMINED THAT I WILL COOPERATE WITH HIM. Matthew 5:6 - "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  17. Promises from God are met with "...He has granted to us His precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature..." - 2 Pet. 1:4contradiction in the natural realm. God is announcing a reality to you that will most likely appear very distant and disconnected from your present situation. God's promises are prophetic glimpses of the realities He wants to release into and through your life. Promises Call You to PULL TOMORROW INTO TODAY. Promises will always contradict your present circumstances because God wants you to collaborate with Him, through faith, to bring His promised reality into the present, so that His will can be done. The Word of the Lord places a demand on your life. Will you adjust everything—your habits, your thought processes, your relationships, your pursuits—according to the promise you received, or will you continue with "life as normal?" Normal will never be invaded by the supernatural as long as we are content to continue with status quo rather than accommodate the promises of God. 1 Thessalonians 1:5, "For our Gospel did not come to you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance, as you know what kind of men we were among you for your sake." The message of Good News, "the Gospel," is followed by the reality of God's goodness being demonstrated in people's lives. For then, the reality of God's glory is touching people physically; bringing healing, restoration, and health in dramatic ways that cause people to "stand in awe." -- those who don't know God are struck with a healthy fear of God, conviction of sin and the need to come to a place of salvation. Acts 26:24-25 - Now as he thus made his defense, Festus said with a loud voice, "Paul, you are beside yourself! Much learning is driving you mad!" But he (Paul) said, "I am not mad, most noble Festus, but speak the words of truth and reason." The words "beside yourself" mean to rave as a maniac, and it's the idea of incessant craving. Festus accused Paul of being crazy. Modern culture is not drawn to Christianity because the little they are exposed to is not extreme enough for them. What the world really wants to see is a Christian who is totally enthralled with who Jesus is. Our spiritual learning shouldn't be just systematic theology books but a distinguishable crazy love that goes public. AFFIRMATION: I won't give up, let up, or shut up until I get others to get up, rise up, and take up all who Christ wants them to be! 2 Corinthians 5:13 - "If it seems we are crazy, it is to bring glory to God. And if we are in our right minds, it is for your benefit." NLT One of the great men of God of the sixteenth century, Francis Xavier, charged the apathetic European students of his day to "give up your small ambitions and come and preach the Gospel of Christ." 18. Matthew 5:20 - "For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." Christ's virtue and power came from the Holy Spirit, not a religious spirit. For it was the fruit of the Holy Spirit that the Father crowned with power -- love healed broken bodies -- peace drove out tormenting spirits -- joy released captives from sin. Romans 14:17 - "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit." AFFIRMATIONS: The Spirit of God is creating a desire for the NEW - I thank the Holy Spirit for helping me to press through into this new place. I see God in a new way as HE comes to lead me forward -- I feel a stirring in my emotions -- God is knocking on my door -- God is calling me to a new place. I refuse to stay in complacency of my former attitudes, waiting for the provision before me to start my journey to the new heights. Matthew 5:25,28,34 - And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years. For she said, if I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And He said unto her, "Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole: go in peace, and be whole of thy plague." SHE DIDN'T CONFESS HER SICKNESS, HER DOCTORS' FAILURES, HER SUFFERING AND HER LACK. SHE HAD STOPPED TALKING ABOUT ALL OF THAT. INSTEAD, SHE BEGAN TO SAY WHAT SHE HAD HEARD ABOUT JESUS. Galatians 6:7 - "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." Luke 8:23,24 - "But as they sailed He fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. And they came to Him, and awoke Him, saying, Master, Master, we perish. Then He arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm." JESUS WAS SLEEPING IN THE MIDDLE OF A LIFE-THREATENING STORM. IT WAS THE PEACE OF HEAVEN THAT ENABLED HIM TO SLEEP. AND IT WAS THAT SAME PEACE THAT SUBDUED THE STORM. YOU ONLY HAVE AUTHORITY OVER THE STORM YOU CAN SLEEP IN. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  19. Exodus 8:9,10 - "And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I entreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river only? And he (Pharaoh) said, tomorrow. And he (Moses) said, Be it according to thy word: that thou mayest know that there is none like unto the Lord our God." Observation: RATHER THAN REQUESTING DELIVERANCE FROM THE PLAGUE TODAY, PHAROAH DECIDED HE'D SPEND ONE MORE NIGHT AMONG THE FROGS. HOW LONG AM I WILLING TO SIT AROUND AND LET THE FROGS IN MY LIFE HARASS ME? I MAKE A QUALITY DECISION "TODAY" TO GO WITH THE WORD OF GOD AND GET THEM OUT. Psalm 31:1,2 - "In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness. Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defense to save me. " Acts 18:25 - "He (Apollos) had been instructed in the way of the Lord, and burning with spiritual zeal, he spoke and taught diligently and accurately the things concerning Jesus, though he was acquainted only with the baptism of John." OBSERVATION: In Acts, the new Christian faith is described as a "way" to follow. Jesus referred to Himself as "The Way" and as The Door". These expressions indicate that I can only recognize spiritual things when I am moving along a path. As long as I have only dogma and proper teaching, I am like the person who owns all the maps in the world, yet never has set foot outside his house to see what the world outside really is like. The scribes who knew perfectly well that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem but did not consider it necessary to go there and receive Him. The only possibility I have of meeting the one who lay in the manger is to go with reverence and commitment -- as the wise men from the east -- I have to travel a long way. James 1:6,7 - "Let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord. " To come boldly and confidently to God for healing is the opposite of saying, "If it be Thy will." If we question God's will for us when we ask Him for something, we are double minded, cannot ask in faith, and He cannot heal us. My Confession: I BOLDLY CONFESS THAT I AM HEALED BY THE STRIPES OF JESUS CHRIST. THE AGONY HE ENDURED WAS FOR ME AND MY HEALTH. I DON'T HAVE TO BE SICK; I DON'T HAVE TO BE WEAK; AND I DON'T HAVE TO LIVE AT THE MERCY OF AFFLICTION ANYMORE. THE STRIPES ON JESUS' BODY WERE FOR ME, SO TODAY I RELEASE MY FAITH AND COMMIT THAT I WILL NOT BE SATISFIED WITH ANYTHING LESS THAN GOD'S BEST -- DIVINE HEALING AND HEALTH EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE! 20. If we are to experience RESTORATION, we must believe in one true God and in His living Word. God promised us this very thing through Joel: "I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming locust, and the chewing locust, my great army which I sent among you" (Joel 2:25). What a magnificent promise. Do you believe it? They may not always line up with our time frame, but always with His. To restore means that God makes restitution for what has been taken. It means to complete, finish, and to make safe. Interestingly enough, the Hebrew word for restoration is the root word of shalom, which means that God makes us whole, He strengthens us, and restores our peace. When God says that He will restore to us what the locusts have eaten, He is promising to make us WHOLE AND COMPLETE, which will in turn lead us into our DESTINIES. John 14:6,7 - "Jesus saith unto him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known My Father also: and from henceforth ye know Him, and have seen Him.'" Unless we can be corrected, unless we are seeking God for an unfolding revelation of His Son, our so-called "faith" may be, in reality, just a lazy indifference, a deception concerning the things of God. Subconsciously, we may actually want a dead religion so we do not have to change. True faith is freighted with the power of God. Timothy 3:5 - "Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. " "The enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy, but I am come that they may have life and have it more abundantly" - (John 10:10). We know that the enemy's strategy is to create destruction in our lives. Yet, Jesus said He came to give us abundant life! The word life is translated "Zoe" in the Greek, which means THE GOD KIND OF LIFE. You are called to live the God kind of life! This life is not a life of lack but a life of abundance; a life of overflow! Do not settle for anything that is not God's best! God wants the very best for His children! AFFIRMATIONS: God is calling for me to arise and take a strong stand against the works of darkness (Jude 1-4). I am to take the land. I lay hold of the promises of God, take Him at His word, and stand firm in faith. Rather than just being content to sit and hear, I become an activator of the Word. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  21. Matthew 12:28 -- "If I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you." The unseen world has influence over the visible. The Kingdom is here and now. We must acknowledge that it's in the invisible realm. Just as Jesus worked only through the Spirit of God, we need to do likewise as His agent. The enemy's attempt to anchor our affections to the things that are visible is easily resisted when our hearts are aware of the presence of the Kingdom of God. 2 Corinthians 4:18 -- Meanwhile our eyes are fixed, not on the things that are seen, but on the things that are unseen: for what is seen passes away; what is unseen is eternal. INTO ACTION: What are you doing daily to establish the presence of the Kingdom of God in your consciousness? 1. 2. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  22. "The Spirt of the Lord is upon me because He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised." - Luke 4:18 God is bringing us to a place where we know the Spirit of the Lord is upon us. If we have not got to that place, God wants to bring us to the fact of what Jesus said in John 14, "...I will prayer the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that He may abide with you forever." Because the Spirit of the Lord came upon Him who is our head, we must see to it that we receive the same anointing and that the same Spirit is upon us. DWELLING IN HIM There is no limit as to what we may become if we dwell and live in the Spirit. In the Spirit of prayer, we are taken from earth right away into heaven. We feel as we speak in the Spirit that the fire which burned in the hearts of the two men on their way to Emmaus (Luke 24: 13-32), when Jesus walked with them, is burning in our heart. It is sure to come to pass when we walk with Him, our hearts will burn -- it is the same power of the Spirit. They could not understand it then, but a few hours later they saw Him break the bread, and their eyes were opened. LIVING IN THE SPIRIT There is a place where the Holy Ghost can put us where we cannot be anywhere else but in the Spirit. But if we breathe His thoughts into our thoughts, and live in the unction of the Holy Spirit as He lived, then there will be evidences that we are in Him; and His works we will do. "To know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God." -- Ephesians 3:19 "Filled with God" means you are emptied of self, leaving no room for doubting or fearing. You are filled with love, and perfect love casts out fear. LIVING IN ABUNDANCE If we will only live in the Spirit and the unction of the Spirit, there will be no lack. There is only lack where faith is not substance. If we will obey the Lord there is nothing He will not give us since He has given us Jesus. The Spirit will have to reveal to us that fact that, because He has given us Jesus, He has given us ALL THINGS. QUESTIONS TO ASK MYSELF: Am I willing to lay down all that I may have God's all? Am I willing to seek and don't stop seeking (Matthew 7:7,8) until I know the Spirit of the Lord is upon me? Am I willing to cry out to Him until the Glory of the Lord is upon me? 23. The very first miracle of Jesus turning water into wine in John 2 provides some clues as to how we might access the reality of what we have read and studied in His Word. There was a wedding in Cana of Galilee. Jesus was there and a need arose. Jesus was asked, and He responded by turning the water into wine. He thus openly revealed His glory for the first time in public. This miracle opened the flow for others, and Jesus went on to heal the official's son, then the invalid by the pool of Bethesda (see John 4 & 5). Jesus revealed the source of these first three miracles by saying: "I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by Himself; He can only do what He sees the Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows Him all He does. Yes, to your amazement He will show Him even greater things than these"- John 5:19-20 NIV. The New Living Translation sheds further light on verse 20 of John chapter 5: "For the Father loves the Son and shows Him everything He is doing. In fact, the Father will show Him how to do even greater works than healing this man. Then you will truly be astonished." WE CAN ASK THE FATHER TO SHOW US HOW From these verses, we learn that Jesus could do only what He saw the Father doing, and that the Father would show Him how to do even greater works. As we abide in Him, hear His heartbeat, and get onto His page, we too can ask the Father: FIRSTLY to show us what He is doing, and then to show us how to do even greater works. SECONDLY, the miracle occurred to meet a need and because Jesus was asked. May we have the courage to ask Him to meet our needs and the needs of others. THIRDLY, we note that the miracle was done in public, revealing His glory for the first time and opening the flow for the ensuing miracles. Let us pray for the breakthrough of the revelation of His glory which will allow the flow of His miracles through our lives. When seeing the things of God, we still have our physical eyes on what we view in the natural realm, but we need to ask the Lord to give us the Spirit of revelation in order to open the eyes of our hearts so we can look beyond the physical into the Spirit realm, enabling us to realize the full depth of what God sees in the situation. Our seeing beyond the natural or outside the box may well require us to step out in faith. Peter modeled this for us when Jesus bade him to "come" and he stepped out of the boat onto the water. God promises when we step out in faith at His bidding, that the unknown beneath our feet will become solid ground. John 14:12 - "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father." Jeremiah 33:3 - "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know." PRAYER FOR US TO SEE AND DO: Lord, please show me what You are doing. Please show me how to do even greater works. Bid me to come, to step out of the boat onto the water into theDESTINY You have prepared for me, and to add action to my faith. Take me outside the box of my current understanding and grant to me the spirit of wisdom and revelation so that I will not judge by what my eyes see in the natural, but that by the power of Your Holy Spirit I will begin to see and hear and feel and taste and touch the reality of what I have read and studied in Your Book! May I delight in what You show me, then step out and follow Your lead. In Jesus name, amen. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  24. Romans 15:13 -- "May the God of your hope so fill you with all joy and peace in believing -- through the experience of your faith --that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope." Hope is a divine dream. It's an inner image that's bigger than you are because it's built on the promises of God. Example: If the doctor told you that you will never walk, then you see yourself climbing mountains and bringing the word of God to hurting people. You find in scripture(Isaiah 40:31) where it says those who wait on the Lord shall run and walk and not faint or be weary. You look at it until you see nothing else. Picture yourself walking for miles and running from one place to the next, telling everyone -- Jesus raised you up and made you whole. AFFIRMATIONS: Today I am becoming a dreamer. I take the word of God and build some dreams....now! INTO ACTION: What dream am I building on today to further the Kingdom of God? What obstacles are keeping me from advancing my dream? ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  25. Matthew 24:12 - "And because lawlessness is increased, most people's love will grow cold." Love is a passion for oneness. There is no such thing as love without commitment. People withdraw from being committed, never realizing that their love is growing cold! They still go to church, read the bible, tithe, sing and look like Christians -- but inside they have become distant and aloof from other people. They have withdrawn from the love of God. Matthew 21:18,19,21 - On his way back to the city, early next morning, Jesus was hungry. He saw a fig tree by the side of the road and went to it, but found nothing on it except leaves. So he said to the tree, "You will never again bear fruit!" At once the fig tree dried up. "Remember this!" Jesus answered. "If you believe, and do not doubt, you will be able to do what I have done to this fig tree." He is taking you into a new faith realm where miracles happen and mountains move and dreams and words are fulfilled in this time. This realm is His Kingdom in you; this is dominion, your CALLING in Christ, your place in His Kingdom. So step in, step out of the boat and walk on the water in this New Faith Realm—ONLY BELIEVE and you will receive. Observation: THERE MAY BE SOME THINGS IN MY LIFE THAT I NEED TO CURSE, BECAUSE THOSE THINGS ARE HINDERING ME FROM BEARING FRUIT FOR THE KINGDOM OF GOD. Rom 1:17 - "For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, 'The just shall live by faith.'" Affirmations: I SPEAK GODS PROMISES INTO MY HEART EVERY DAY. I PLANT FAITH AS A SEED BY RELEASING IT IN WORDS. I SPEAK ONLY THOSE THINGS THAT I WANT TO GROW IN MY LIFE. Song of Solomon 4:3 - "Your lips are like a scarlet thread, and your speech is sweet. your cheeks are like a piece of pomegranate, besides that which is hidden within." "YOUR SPEECH," HE ADDS, "IS SWEET." THE HEART HAS A LANGUAGE THAT NO ONE BUT GOD CAN UNDERSTAND. SOMETHING WITHIN YOU SPEAKS ONLY TO HIM. THERE ARE SECRETS SHARED ONLY BETWEEN THE BRIDEGROOM (JESUS) AND HIS BRIDE. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
