I have, for the most part, not commented on many of the passages we have read in our Bible readings. Part of this is because I am lazy, but part of it is also, because we have the Worthy Christian Forums where discussion already goes on, and it is a place where Many views are represented. When I set up the Bible 365 Club, one of the things I wanted to accomplish, was just to get people into God's word and read it, without the need for squabbling. Here in Daniel 12, I don't think it is proper for me, to not draw attention to some connections to the New Testament. Reading the Bible for the sake of reading it, is not to get it's full benefit, we want also to understand what we are reading. With that said, I am not attempting here, to use this as a soap box for my particular views, but I do think I have a responsibility to connect some of the dots, since some Bible 365 Club members may be encountering some verses and concepts for the first time. By providing some Bible passages outside of our reading assignments or schedule, we can broaden our understanding a little, and begin to make some of the connections that we can examine, and hopefully the Holy Spirit will aid our understanding. In Matt 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21, Jesus is speaking with His disciples about the time of the end. Those are good chapters to read to broaden our understanding about the things of the end. However, here we are in Daniel 12, so what are the connections I am alluding to? Quoting from Matt 24:15 (NIV in this case) Jesus said to His disciples: “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’a spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand—" and in Mark 13:14 it reads: “When you see ‘the abomination that causes desolation’a standing where it does not belong—let the reader understand— These passages make reference to a coming abomination, and desolation, and the Matthew one tells us that this is spoken of in Daniel. In Daniel 12:11, here is a connection: 11 “From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days." This is a perfect example of a principle of Bible study, comparing scripture with scripture. Here we have something in the Old Testament, that is difficult to understand, or at least might make us wonder. However, in the New Testament, we get some explanation and elaboration. Now, if you read the New Testament passages that I mentioned in Matt, Mark and Luke, you might well have more questions than answers, but at least you will understand with a little more detail, something about Daniel 12. Just to give you some more connections, more things to file in the back of you mind, allow me to point out some concepts or details to take note of, that will help you to make associations in other chapters of various books of the Bible. Not going to get into it deeply here, but notice in Dan 12:11, not only the abomination of desolation, but, the specific 1290 days. Be mindful of that number, and of numbers that the Bible is going to bring up from time to time, in the context of the end times. Examples, 1260 days, time, times, and half a time, 3 and a half, the week and the middle of the week. Also of interest in this connection, is the concept of "great tribulation". Jesus uses that description in Matt 24: 21For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again. In this case, the NIV says great distress. The word distress is the Greek word "thlípsis". Many versions use the word "tribulation". It basically means pressure. To understand the word better, see http://biblehub.com/greek/2347.htm I do, however, want to make another connection, so we can again, see that Jesus and the book of Daniel, are referring to the same thing. Again, Jesus said in Matt 24:21 "For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again." Notice that in this distress or tribulation, is unique, not having an equal previously, not in the future. How does Daniel describe this? From 12:1: “At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then." It is also note-worthy, that Michael is mentioned. You probably know, that Michael is an archangel. That ties in to this (probably) if you look at 1 Thess 4:16, and comparing that verse or passage, with the Matt 24 one. I am not trying to send you down all sorts of side trails, but these things are all related. Going to stop at this point, and move along. I know discussing this is cliche but, what do you guys think about this? How blessed is he who keeps waiting and attains to the 1,335 days!" I was reading this and thought hmmm what stands in the Holy Place today? The Dome of the Rock. So I looked up when it was it was built. 693AD and subtracted 1290 years and I got 597BC. The year the First Temple was destroyed and the articles were carried off.

Revelation 17:1-6 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and said to me, “Come, I will show you the punishment of the great prostitute, who sits by many waters. With her the kings of the earth committed adultery, and the inhabitants of the earth were intoxicated with the wine of her adulteries.” Then the angel carried me away in the Spirit into a wilderness. There I saw a woman sitting on a scarlet beast that was covered with blasphemous names and had seven heads and ten horns. The woman was dressed in purple and scarlet, and was glittering with gold, precious stones and pearls. She held a golden cup in her hand, filled with abominable things and the filth of her adulteries. The name written on her forehead was a mystery: babylon the great the mother of prostitutes and of the abominations of the earth. I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of God’s holy people, the blood of those who bore testimony to Jesus. I believe this passage is regarding Internet pornography. To sit by many waters and be in many places at once could only be achieved through the means of the World Wide Web. The kings of the earth committed adultery with the great prostitute since they share power and fame. This implies leaders of the nations were physically with her. The prostitute John is refering to is the porn star and entity that perpetrates the image. Men that idolize a woman for sexual purposes are committing spiritual idoltary through lustful depictions spread out online. The adornments signify not her literal appearance, but are in regards to the beautification of the body. Today this would be lingerie and other sexually explicit attire. The golden cup in her hand represents her power over men. It is symbolic for the "cup full" of detestable sex acts used in the adult entertainment industry, which some of, qualify as ritualistic taboo. The word babylon can represent any nation that is under the effects of the great prostitute, however the mystery babylon signifies greater importance and impact regarding wordly implications. Babylon the great is the mother of prostitutes, her temporary financial success and fame gives birth to the nature of industry where greed and lust are exploited to elevate the images of babylon's great abominations over the eyes of many nations through the under world of the Internet. The woman being drunk with the blood of the saints (God's holy people) is regarding the matters of the truth: Those faithful and loyal to God (Christians) were involved in the use of online pornography. Some repentant , others not. However for the righteous followers, their habit towards the use of such material is the shedding of their blood and denotes their suffering in sin. - - - - - Revelation 17:9 Here is the mind which has wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sits. When John received this revelation he chose the parable "mountain" to represent the 7 continents of earth during a time when the modern world was unknown. The revelation is pertaining to a time when the fornication of the great prostitute would reach around the entire globe and this is now a possibility today thanks to technology (or sorcery), whatever you prefer to call it. I will note that in NIV's translation it uses the word "hills", which I feel is misleading or deceptive regarding my feelings on the matter. Revelation, a world wide event regarding the end of humanity, does not equip itself to any significance with the use of the word "hills". - - - - - Revelation 17:15 Then he said to me, “The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues. Again a passage signifies the collection of different peoples, nations and tongues. This speaks of the spiritual idoltary which was put over many different nations. The onslaught of pornography in today's world teaches youth and adults alike to accept the contents in the light of modern progression, which is where many leaders are failing to uphold the fact that God's laws do not change. - - - - - Revelation 18:1-3 After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illumined with his glory.And he cried out with a mighty voice, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great! She has become a dwelling place of demons and a prison of every unclean spirit, and a prison of every unclean and hateful bird.“For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the passion of her immorality, and the kings of the earth have committed acts of immorality with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich by the wealth of her sensuality.” The merchants are the profiteers of the adult entertainment industry. The Internet functions as a cage for the unclean souls that have not accepted Christ. All the nations have drunk the wine for all different types of peoples dwell in the United States. Digital products can circulate and be used anywhere. The revelation signifies a time that is now or a time where literally every single nation is connected together with the presence of babylon the great. - - - - - Revelation 18:4-8 I heard another voice from heaven, saying, “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive of her plagues;for her sins have piled up as high as heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.“Pay her back even as she has paid, and give back to her double according to her deeds; in the cup which she has mixed, mix twice as much for her.“To the degree that she glorified herself and lived sensuously, to the same degree give her torment and mourning; for she says in her heart, ‘I SIT as A QUEEN AND I AM NOT A WIDOW, and will never see mourning.’“For this reason in one day her plagues will come, pestilence and mourning and famine, and she will be burned up with fire; for the Lord God who judges her is strong. The warning here presented by God should come as a sign if my interpretations are correct, which is why I present this synopsis to bring an enhanced view towards the ongoing consideration of Revelation. God understands the implications of the self-destructive nature that plagues those who partake in the wines of her immoralities. Pornography is not demonized as it should be in today's society, no, it's made freely available over the Internet and is unacceptable in the eyes of the Lord, especially when children are able to obtain access. - - - - - Revelation 18:9-10 “And the kings of the earth, who committed acts of immorality and lived sensuously with her, will weep and lament over her when they see the smoke of her burning,standing at a distance because of the fear of her torment, saying, ‘Woe, woe, the great city, Babylon, the strong city! For in one hour your judgment has come.’ Many will weep over the destruction of the modern world when God destroys it. To put such sorcery to an end, an apocalypse must be brought about. - - - - - Revelation 18:11-20 “And the merchants of the earth weep and mourn over her, because no one buys their cargoes any more—cargoes of gold and silver and precious stones and pearls and fine linen and purple and silk and scarlet, and every kind of citron wood and every article of ivory and every article made from very costly wood and bronze and iron and marble,and cinnamon and spice and incense and perfume and frankincense and wine and olive oil and fine flour and wheat and cattle and sheep, and cargoes of horses and chariots and slaves and human lives.“The fruit you long for has gone from you, and all things that were luxurious and splendid have passed away from you and men will no longer find them.“The merchants of these things, who became rich from her, will stand at a distance because of the fear of her torment, weeping and mourning,saying, ‘Woe, woe, the great city, she who was clothed in fine linen and purple and scarlet, and adorned with gold and precious stones and pearls;for in one hour such great wealth has been laid waste!’ And every shipmaster and every passenger and sailor, and as many as make their living by the sea, stood at a distance,and were crying out as they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, ‘What city is like the great city?’“And they threw dust on their heads and were crying out, weeping and mourning, saying, ‘Woe, woe, the great city, in which all who had ships at sea became rich by her wealth, for in one hour she has been laid waste!’“Rejoice over her, O heaven, and you saints and apostles and prophets, because God has pronounced judgment for you against her.” With the absolute destruction of modern cities and computers among other things, the marketers will mourn for the system which has been lost. Here we can begin to understand the implications of her adulteries, which even effected the saints and prophets. "The fruit you long for has gone from you" perhaps applies to the notion that the destruction is the removal of the "forbidden fruit". - - - - - Revelation 18:23-24 and the light of a lamp will not shine in you any longer; and the voice of the bridegroom and bride will not be heard in you any longer; for your merchants were the great men of the earth, because all the nations were deceived by your sorcery.“And in her was found the blood of prophets and of saints and of all who have been slain on the earth.” Again here we see the word "sorcery" used. If Revelation is the end, and our modern technologies like cable TV and the Internet are the sorcery, then this scripture implies that technology will be the very tool of deception. The sorcerers will stage and/or fake events causing them to look real. Anything made in Hollywood could be made as news. The saints and prophets blood was found in the mighty babylon, indicating that the Antichrist or whoever will use modern technology to conform people together through various nations by presenting their desired perceptions. When the rise against the saints comes to be, blood will also be spilled literally. The passage is indicating that the world built around us has become poison. - - - - - FINAL DEPICTION I present the end time Revelation as an underground system of control over people through the use of pornography and also the ongoing spread of misinformation and false truths. Technology can totally distort or skew the portrayal of the world as it is, however we can use technology to also present a truthful imagery of the very facts I am claiming. Final Thoughts -- Dangers of Pornography Since marriage is the image of God for Christian marriage, it is the satanic goal to dismantle and destroy marriage to implement their image into the fashion of the world. The devil’s image is a term known as BDSM (Bondage, Discipline, sadomasochism). Instead of teaching people to follow the love and faith of Christ, male and female based marriages, BDSM aims to have people paired not by gender appropriate roles, but instead coupled in the roles of a submissive and dominant partnership. It essentially teaches the practice of finding partners regarding their sexual preferences, which is fulfilling bodily lusts and not love from the heart. This is the SEAL of Babalon and it is currently manifest throughout American and European culture, among other parts of the world. The Internet is the base of operations for these satanically inspired agendas where they promote addiction to sexual fetishes to grow the number of followers to BDSM, the Antichrist’s opposing structure to traditional marriage. Online pornography is the #1 tool that teaches and practices such behaviors regarding this image. Some Questions to Contemplate: Is the digital underworld the Mystery Babylon that's brewing? Is our technology today the very sorcery spoken of during the end time? Is the Internet the tool that gives the Beast insight into our minds? Is technology the forbidden fruit that plagues mankind? (Apple logo. Irony?) Is irony mocking the USA by electing Obama? Is it implying USA is an Obama-nation (Abomination)? The USA is the origin of online pornography. TV came from Nazi Germany's technology and now it's here promoting vast amounts of celebrities, false leaders and sex idols, and now, the Internet passes these idols through the web. Wondrous irony... Those are my thoughts.
